Some of the workers do amazing work and are very professional and some simply do enough to say they did it. Plumber butchered my cabinets and connected gas line to stove without ever checking for a leak... Huge leak had to be fixed by my husband. This is a flooring business that sells flooring and showers. I'll get to the point of the low rating. I basically attempted to cancel a small order and they completely ignored me. Called three times then disputed the charge. Visa sided with me and the charge was reversed. Imagine if there were bigger problems......No way. The story: I went in for some transition pieces. They didn't have what I needed so I attempted to leave. They told me they could order it. I said ok. Turned out after the order was complete that I had to go pick it up.......in southeast houston......40 miles away. yeah right. I ended up finding the exact matching piece down the street from my house. read more

This has got to be the most unethical business I've ever worked with. FSD will scam you out of your money. The business uses cheap materials and will take forever to do work on the property. Once funds are obtained, they are impossible to get a hold of. My parents home flooded in Harvey and we were in need of a contractor to rebuild. The subcontractors Muhammed (the owner) hired were incompetent, wasted time (watching football on their phones while they should have been working), and Muhammad was the most unprofessional person to work with. He made my mother cry and bragged about how he was so successful because he has a Mercedes. Seriously!?!? My parents house flooded, FSD scammed my folks (as well as others) out of their money, and cant even do mold remediation properly (we had it tested later and there was still mold present) he then charged my parents 5500$ for the service. I called it a break up fee to get out of the contract. What a waste. I would not refer to google for reviews as it is easy to 'buy' reviews or post 'fake' reviews on their service; refer to yelp instead for reviews. When my parents decided to sever ties w/ Floor Spring Designz due to inefficient workers and lack of timely progress on the house, FSD included a clause (illegal as of 2016) in the termination agreement that prevented my parents or affiliated parties from posting negative reviews online (a gag clause). Fortunately, in 2016, Congress passed the Consumer Review Freedom Act, a law that prohibits companies from having non-disparagement clauses in their contracts or terms of services; as such, I am able to provide this review for you. Additionally The Better Business Bureau considers non-disparagement clauses to be contrary to its mission of "an ethical marketplace where buyers and sellers can trust each other." The BBB Code of Business Practices prohibits Accredited Businesses from using them (clearly, this is not a BBB Accredited business). Also, check out how many litigation issues this business has... we now know at least one business who has successfully sued (and won) a case against this company. I have had a lot of work done by this group of professionals. David helped redesign my kitchen by removing part of a wall, building a peninsula with granite and changing out the backsplash. It looks awesome. The contractor who painted and textured the ceiling did an outstanding job. They kept the area clean after they finished each day. I had written a review on Yelp last year after my work was completed by PLM previously known as Floor Spring Designz but Yelp decided to take it down. This is not a company you want to do business with because they lie a lot. As in "we'll start your project in 2 weeks." They started my project in 2 MONTHS. Or "we will take 6-8 weeks to finish your project." Contract signed, money paid on July 1st and work completed Good Friday of the following year. Do you know what it's like to not have a kitchen sink to at least wash your dishes in for 5 months? Well I do. The project manager doesn't return calls and weeks go by without any contractors showing up. The contractors that do show up aren't always the best either. The electrician sawed through my phone line taking out the home office and claimed he didn't do it. The ceiling was opened with a drywall saw and you could see the teeth marks from the saw in the cable. They ended up moving my window twice because the contractor didn't know where it went, also there was a circuit breaker box in the way that cost an additional $3k I didn't plan for. The painter was given the color and went on to paint my trim work blue...not the white I gave him, blue. He told me I'd have to buy a new gallon of paint and he'd fix it. I'm like "nope, SW0050 is white, I have texts to show I sent you that color, take it up with Sherwin Williams." "Ah, let it dry, it might be ok." Nope, dry, it's still BLUE!!" SW did replace that paint and it did get corrected thank God. They also liked to leave things without power, like the outlet that ran the modem, or the garage door, then claim they didn't do anything to those circuits, which after some checking, I found what they'd done. I finally gave them an end date of Feb 9th, get done or get out. They failed to meet that so my husband and I finished the project. The owner, Mohamed was gracious enough to credit us for the work we did. It involved installing a vent hood and moving the electrical outlet that went with that. I also had a plumber hook up the icemaker. We had to seat the toilet, then get a half a garage and back patio of trash out. Mohamed did send someone to collect the other half of the garage trash which we were ever so grateful because it was big stuff our garbage people wouldn't take. I spent a lot of money on my project and did not get my money's worth out of it, just 8 months of headaches. Did I mention I don't like the travertine floors he recommended? I wanted tile but he insisted travertine is about the same cost. It also has to be sealed and you have to use a PH neutral cleaner on it. It also chips like crazy. Don't get the travertine! I give David the designer a B because he didn't plan for the circuit breaker box which lost me a lot of time and money, all the subs they sent, a "C", only because some were good and some were awful. The project manager gets an F. He didn't reply to calls, never told me what was going on, and would come by occasionally and say things like "yeah, we'll be done by Christmas!" When I was signing the contract, the comment was I'd be entertaining at Thanksgiving. read more

Worst business ever...when they came over to give a quote, presented themselves and their company as very professional, punctual staff.....but that wasn't the case once the work started....had to follow up 10000 times to make sure somebody was going to show up as per the scheduled time. The worst customer service in the history of customer services. They took the half the money upfront and the sales man said he would do the job three days after I pick my design. I picked my design the following day and didn't hear from them in three weeks. I had to chase them down five time before they installed the granite. Then I had to chase them agin before they could do the plumbing. I gave them a deadline to finish the job and they didn't even call. They called two weeks after the deadline requesting the rest of their balance. They didn't call me to for them to come finish the job. They called asking about money. I hired someone else to do the backsplash and I'm about to take the to court and report them to ABC NEWS. DONT PAY ATTENTION TO THE REVIEW ON THEIR WEBSITE BECAUSE ITS DECEPTIVE COF COURSE THEY WILL PUT GOOD REVIEWS ON THEIR WEBSITE. DO NOT USE THEM. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! My house flooded in Harvey so we hired FSD to rebuild our home. We did most of the remediation ourselves. Wall/Floor etc tear out, bleach, mold control. About 90% of the remediation. I have pictures, receipts, and witnesses to prove this. I needed them to finish. Mainly tearing out the cabinets but they said the insurance would pay them to finish what we had left, mainly cleaning the floors in the house and garage plus ripping out the drywall on the last wall in the garage. More on this later. I was told by our salesman that I needed to pay them $1250 up front to cover our insurance deductible and that we wouldn't have to pay anything else, that it would all come out of our insurance settlement. Fast forward and we are at their office going over the plan for our home. They tell us we need to take out a line of credit to get started of $15k. I'm confused bc they told us we didn't need to pay for anything else. They basically bait and switched us. I told them I wasn't comfortable with that, but agreed to pay $5k for our small bathroom and water heater to be put in so we could move in. Fast forward and the remediation crew didn't clean, Ive still got feces in my house, I had to rip the drywall in the garage out and their is still mold in there, my tub doesn't hold water to give my son a bath, the baseboards don't match, I had to pressure wash the garage floor myself, I had to clean the floors in the house myself. Etc etc etc...and to top it off his remediation crew walked off with my tools. After all of this we had enough and went to break ties. He said we owed him $33K, $28K of which was for remediation. He said that is what he charges insurance companies...for remediation...that wasn't mostly done by him...and the part he did was incomplete. $28K! He said that we signed a contract...that had no dollar amount bc they hadn't given me an estimate. You can't make this stuff up! The only contract we had with him for a dollar amount was the verbal one in which we agreed to pay him $5k for doing the bathroom and water heater. He threatened to put a lien on our house after signing paperwork saying he couldn't put a lien on our house. He threatened to send us to a collection agency and to lawyers for not paying his $28K remediation fee when I've talked with another unhappy customer who said he only paid a fraction of that and he didn't do any of the remediation himself. This is my experience with them. It stinks that after surviving Harvey that these people care more about money than us. I won't tell you what to do but this is my experience and my humble opinion. I am not an easy customer to please. I'm picky, stubborn and impatient. As hard as I am to please, I can tell you the people at Floor Spring Designz are awesome. They have worked with me for almost a year on my home that was damaged during the dam releases of Hurricane Harvey. It hasn't been easy. Good subcontractors have been hard to find, supplies have been hard to find and the supervisors have been worn thin by all the work. However, they have always, always done what they said they would do. My home is almost complete and it's just BEAUTIFUL! FSD has been a God-send to our family and they have become like extended family to us. Never hesitate to call them - unless I need them at the same time. :) read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I feel I must about my experience here. I called George from FSD directly by reference from someone that hadn't yet had work done (but they were planning to). I wanted new counter tops and backplash installed. George came in, measured and showed me the samples. We agreed on a price and I wrote him a deposit check. Later that night I found several bad reviews of the store online which did cause me to panic a bit. I called George and he reassured me the job would be done above my expectation. The next week the counters were installed. The granite looked great. The next day the plumber came in to reinstall the faucet and drain, and that is where we hit a roadblock. My drain was too high and had to be lowered in the wall. This involved cutting the wall open and modifying the drain which traveled 3 ft linearly. The plumber said there would be an additional cost, to which I called George because my contract stated it included plumbing. George took care of everything, and the job was completed. My only complaint is how long the plumber took to complete the work, but that is no negative reflection on the quality of work. The counters and backsplash look great. read more

Beware! FSD is one of the worst companies I have ever worked with. We bought a house in 2017 and contracted FSD to do the renovation work, a job that was scoped out around $70k. We picked them because their reviews on google were very good and indeed, initially, working with FSD was great. They helped us design the layout, pick out materials, and gave really great suggestions for the job. However, the nightmare started once the job was handed to their foreman and the work began. The entire job was plagued by poor quality work, damage to my house, and incredible delays. The job was estimated to take 4-6 weeks but that stretched into 5 months simply because contractors would never show up. In addition, most of the work was pretty sub-par. I walked through the house with one of the managers near the end and even he was surprised that the foreman had allowed such low quality of work to pass. However, even though he acknowledged that it needed to be fixed, he hasn't done anything! I've been incredibly frustrated by the lack of response from them throughout the whole project. Whenever I would express concern over an issue I was assured that it would get taken care of during the 'punch list' at the end. Well, guess what - I couldn't ever get them out to complete the punch list. I have had to complete much of the work and clean up myself. They told me I should have be doing the work myself (I agree!) and they assured me that one of their 'best guys' would be out to take care of everything to make sure we are satisfied. However, after several months of not getting a response from them I now realize that they've been paid and I'm never going to be able to get them out here. Do not do business with FSD!!! read more

I have used this company to install granite counter tops in my kitchen and restrooms the quality of the work is great. Now my mother is having her carpet redone. I have also noticed that there are more reviews on here other that the one bad review that they show. I just think that if people are going off of the reviews then all of them should be shown. read more

Floor Spring Designz installed granite counter tops in our house in Oct. 2013 The granite had a 4 inch repaired crack & a 24 inch crack; as well as severely scratched sinks, & unfinished bullnose. Over 3 months have passed & our salesman Terrance Stafford has made little to no effort to get it resolved. His manager Dave was also notified & no effort was made, the owner Mohamed Bouyarden called once & did not sound concerned. Floor Spring Designz has mad no effort to fix their poor work. If there was a negative star rating - Floor Spring Designz, A.K.A FSD, would get it. I contracted with this company as they nawed at the bit to get the job. Via my internet search for local cypress tile and granite installers, their name came up and they. The company has some type of service partnership with some type of service matching company. I can not recall the name right now. Several of the reps from Floor Spring Designz (aka FSD) called me. I went with the first - ******. He offered to come out for a quote within a couple of hours as he already had an appt in my area. Once there, he had several samples. The one I liked was not labeled, but match existing granite perfectly so I selected it. For signing a contract right on the spot, the rep gave a really good price for the job. I paid 1/2 down on the spot. He would have taken the full price that day if I hadn't noted that I only wanted to do half...in case they didn't come back or heaven forbid, they didn't finish the job correctly. Within the week, after going back and forth with him on an install day, he sent the installer to do the work. My husband was there to let them in. They finished quickly. I arrived home to take a look and inspect----they installed the complete wrong color and pattern. ****** was suppose to have gotten this straight - remember the sample was not labeled, so he was suppose to find the proper name and make sure the correct piece was installed. The installer tried to blame Lamont, Lamont called them dumb @$$es or some other expletive while on the phone with me - the customer. In my eyes, he was the one that failed as it didn't seem that he had the right color/pattern noted from the beginning. He promised to get it straight. I've been playing phone tag with him since then - 9/17. Its been a month. A couple of weeks ago, after trying to track him down, via text, as its seems the way he likes to conduct business, he said his wife had an accident and he would be calling to confirm when the installers would return. The last meessages were that the contractor was finishing a job that saturday morning and would come to my place when done. NO INSTALLERS SHOWED, NO FOLLOW-UP, UPDATE FROM *******!!! I finally disputed the orignal charge and decided to keep the half @$$ job they've left me with. Thank goodness its only in my laundary room - a small area. DON'T USE FLOOR SPRING DESIGNZ aka FSD. No mangement oversight, no accountability, no integrity....NO MORE BUSINESS FROM ME OR ANYONE THAT I KNOW IF I CAN HELP IT. read more

Impressive website and advertising, but customer service, timely installation, workmanship and follow-up were unprofessional and disappointing. Lack of communication from the salesperson had me adjusting my schedule several times to accommodate them for installation of porcelain tile in two bathrooms. They installed a cracked tile, left a gap between the tile and adjoining carpet by cutting tile too short, made a mess of the carpet that I had to immediately clean, took their time in replacing toilets, and dunned me for final payment after I expressed my concerns about the tile problems. Also, it was up to me to find a person to paint and install baseboard pieces to "finish" the job. Promises were made from the salesperson and the office manager to send the tile installer back to access the problems, but over a month now, no further communication has been received. Do not ever use their services period!! There workers are never on time and do not complete the work to any justifiable standard. They had to come back and re-grout my shower because they did not use grout caulk. They just passed it off hoping nobody would notice because it's a cost cutting technique. The tile work in my bathroom was done without spacers and is easily noticeable. Tiles on the wall and floor had to be removed and replaced because they used the wrong ones. Floor tiles did not get put under the baseboards and are grouted right to the baseboard. After I called about what appeared to be some pitting in my granite counter tops for my kitchen it took them 7 weeks to finally send someone out to look and say there's not a whole lot I can do. They tried the same cost cutting technique for my kitchen back splash which had to be re-grouted because they did not use grout caulk. I called to have someone come look and again it took 4 weeks to for them to show up. No walk through was ever performed and no punch list was ever reviewed. They left my bathroom a mess with dirty hand prints on the walls that just had a fresh coat of paint put on them. I had to call again to have someone come out and repaint the walls, another 2 week wait for that. There sales associates take no accountability for what they sold you verses what the actual workers are doing. This is the response I got in an email from my sales rep " I have given it to the office for warranty work. You need to start calling the office and keep bugging them until it's looked at and fixed." Who do you think I was calling, after which I proceeded to wait 7 weeks along with the other issues and continuous phone calls. I would never recommend them to anyone ever!!! read more
