Linda and Tom Ferris really want their customers to be happy. They are very knowledgable about their products and have experienced, and detail oriented tile setters on staff. These guys have done several projects for me in my current home as well as past abodes. Their showroom prices are very reasonable. Just yesterday, I went to 'Crossville' on Richmond Avenue and then called out to Katy Tile and Marble. I saved 30% by going out to Katy for the exact same tile. (You can read my review of 'Crossville' which was 'Master Tile' on the Master Tile page of Yelp. Plus for only $25.00 they will deliver my tile to my home, well inside Hwy 6. Echoing several other reviews for Katy Tile & Marble (KTM), I cannot say enough great things about this amazing team. We were very nervous about having our kitchen redone (we've heard horror stories). As soon as we visited KTM our fears with alleviated by the super knowledgeable and amazingly considerate staff. They directed us to Arizona Tile (a separate review) and took care of everything. We had all new granite countertop, ceramic backsplash, and kitchen sink & faucet installed in the kitchen. KTM took care of everything...and quick! They had teams that did the demo, a team that did the plywood and reinforcement of the existing cabinets, a team that cut and installed the sink, a team that cut and installed the granite countertop, and a team that installed the backsplash. After all was said and done they even came back to take care of a couple of small finishes to make our kitchen look great! I HIGHLY recommend! You won't be sorry. read more

Linda & Tom Ferris and their staff are always a pleasure to work with whether selecting materials, colors and textures or when they are doing the work in our home. This is the third time we have had Katy Tile & Marble work in our home. They previously remodeled our kitchen with new tile and granite countertops, installed tile throughout the house, and remodeled our master bath. Each time their work has been consistently very professional and the skill and talent of those who work for them has been evident. Just last week, they did a great job installing carpet in four bedrooms and were very careful while moving furniture in and out of the rooms and they cleaned up everything when they were done. Not impressed. They redid our bathroom floors and the tile work is less than adequate. There are high/low spots. Misaligned tiles. One of the tiles sounds hollow when stepped on which means inadequate mortar was put down - I'm pretty sure it will eventually crack or break through. I asked them to fix this and they told me there was nothing wrong with the work. So much for the customer always being right.... read more

Katy Tile and Marble installed carpet in my bedrooms. First of all their installers stole $4300 worth of my jewelry. After reporting it to their insurance company, they denied my claim. I am still in the process of having the police investigate the two men and waiting for the police report. Secondly, the carpet wasn't installed correctly, there are nails sticking out at all the thresholds in every room. I've had to get a hammer and hit all the nails myself. I also paid extra for better padding which I don't think I got. I would never let these people into your home. I've had another friend who used them and she is extremely dissatisfied with their wood installation. Their work stinks and their employees are thieves. read more

I hired them over 3 years ago, and dearly loved my kitchen remodel. I recently ran into a little snag, which they PROMPTLY rectified for me. They actually installed my granite countertops in my kitchen in 5/2016-6/2016. I never got around to the review. They where great. I had a slight misunderstanding with my backsplash, but they came and corrected the issue promptly. I love the countertops and the kitchen looks amazing. read more

Katy Tile and marble just updated our bathrooms with new floors, countertops and shower tile. We also had a freestanding tub installed in the master. We are so happy with the results. Tom and Linda, along with their sons and great crew, made the whole process so easy as they prepared us for each step. They were very considerate of our time. During construction of large custom home (7800 sq. ft under roof), became worried that our custom builder's shower pans were of low quality construction despite his assurances to the contrary. Since we were installing high end special order marble and mosaics in each shower . . . was losing sleep due to the possibility of having to rip that marble out in a year's time due to poor quality shower pans and possibly leaking. Additionally, the timeframe to begin installing the shower marble was soon upon me . . . and it terrified me. I contacted a regional construction representative that I knew and asked for a referral. He advised that there was one (and only one) individual that he would recommend in the entirety of the Houston area to do the job right the first time . . . and that was Tom Ferris with Katy Tile & Marble. So - that same day I contacted Tom Ferris and informed him of my concerns. We meet at the construction site a few days later and did a walk through of the house. He listened to my concerns and asked questions. He agreed that the current shower pans appeared to pose a few problems. Tom agreed to take on the tasks of ripping out all shower pans, rebuilding all shower pans - one of which was 9' x 6', installing 24"x24" slate in kitchen, office, pantry, laundry, closets and dining. Installing 18"x18" high end marble in extensive foyer and gallery hall. Installing carpet in living, study, 4 bedrooms and all closets. Installing special order high end mosaic on floor of powder room, floor of 9'x6' master shower, special order glass mosaic in bath #3 and special order mosaic in bath #4. Installing kitchen backsplash. Installing marble on all bathroom floors including marble baseboards where desired. In the master, we also had marble on the wall behind the large master tub as well as marble window sills. When Tom's guys ripped out the master bathroom shower pan that my builder had installed - after only 3 months - the shower pan had already failed and there was water damage between the shower pan and the OSB board foundation of the house. Had Tom not agreed to help me . . . I would've been forced . . . due to time constraints . . . to keep the shower pans as built by our builder. That would have certainly led to a shower pan failure and complete bathroom rip out within 1 to 2 years of living in the house which would have equated to a huge amount of capital to fix. Over several weeks, Tom's guys were there every day . . . listening to my design ideas and coming up with a plan. They were communicative and respectful of the property. And . . . I am here to tell you that there are construction crews that clean up after themselves . . . because I have video proof that Tom's crews do just that. It was absolutely a shock to find the work sites neat and clean after a day's work because was I used to my builder's work crews and the tossed lunches, open soda cans, crushed cigarettes and other filth which littered the job site on a daily basis. Tom's crews did exactly what was discussed . . . in the timeframe that was agreed upon . . . and in the manner upon which it was agreed. Building a large custom home is difficult enough . . . but when you don't trust your builder . . . it becomes a nightmare. After firing my builder from all tiling, backsplashes, carpet, showers and bathrooms . . . Tom took on the tasks expertly and without fail. I could go on and on about Katy Tile & Marble . . . they absolutely SAVED my home from certain future disaster. I plan to completely tile our master bathroom walls with special order glass mosaic in a few months . . . and the only company that I would allow to perform this work would be Katy Tile & Marble. We worked together every day and Tom Ferris championed my causes. He listened to my ideas and was always supportive and ready to infuse his knowledge into the situation. I am an individual that wants it right the first time. No second chances. Tom Ferris lived up to his promises and then some. read more
