This floor and Decor location in Paramus is amazing. I worked with Tyrone and he was extremely helpful and patient with me. I needed over 3000 square feet of flooring and he helped me pick out everything I needed. The store manager at this location is amazing as well. The prices are very reasonable and the setup Is easy to maneuver through the store without being overwhelmed. I've been to other floor and decor locations and the staff in Paramus was by far the best! If I could give 10 stars I would! Today at 430pm I walked in to this store looking to purchase over 200 sufrió of porcelain tile. No one was willing to help or actually work. The floor personal le advised me that they had non on the floor and then could check on his cellular phone Because it wasn't working . He then referee me to the cashier. Here is we're it got bad. The cashier refused to help me. Another employee, felt bad bad said " all you have to do is check". Once she was told to look for the tile in another store, she said in an uptight way "you should have told me that". While search the data base she stated that she was tired of doing other people's job!!! When she complete her search, she told me that Wayne got them. I don't understand why she reacted or treat me this way. If she is not willing to work, then make way for people that do want to work and have the acueste education to treat people. Only buy something at Floor and Decor if you can find every single piece at the store. If you order online they will promise you a delivery date and it will not arrive. They have a pretty fast customer service response, but no guarantees on delivery. In fact if you check your order they won't even be able to tell you when it's arriving. My kitchen backsplash is a smash hit!! Install was made easy with invaluable assistance from Nick. I would mixed enough mortar for the whole day. I would have had a lumpy mass by lunch. Absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I ordered tile online to pickup, said was in stock. When arrived was told they were 3 boxes short. Ok, it happens right? But here was the follow up, if I want to get 3 boxes sent to my location from another store it would take about 6 weeks! If I wanted them to ship me the 3 boxes I would have to pay ~$150 shipping! To date I have received no email or paperwork regarding the shortage in my order and when I call the customer care line number I was given, nobody picks up, I've tried for 3 days now. Left call back number many times but no returned calls. Bottom line: if you can physically get the tiles you want in the store and they're on the shelf, fine. Less than 1 star actually. These guys are THE WORST! I ordered a vanity 4 weeks ago and have been waiting for it to be delivered to the Paramus NJ location since it was out of stock. Not a problem. However when we picked it up 4 weeks after ordering it was severely damaged. The workers there stated we were aware it was damaged and that we were buying a floor sample at a discounted price... LIES!! Why would I wait 4 weeks for a floor sample?! And there was nothing discounted about it other than the quality!! It's impossible to reach a helpful employee over the phone. Out of the 10+ times I've called I've spoken to 1 person who said there was the same vanity in stock in Washington DC but it will take them 3 weeks to get it to New Jersey... WHY?! I've already waited 4 weeks only to get a damaged product... do I really want to wait 3 more weeks potentially for another damaged product plus to deal with liars?! I don't think so. I have never remodeled my bathroom. It was no surprise I was clueless when I walked in the store in Toms River. I needed to pick tiles for shower walls, shower floors, and bathroom floors for four bathrooms. I am also particular when it comes to design. Everyone in the store are very friendly and helpful. Deborah Juliani went above and beyond for me. She is not only very knowledgeable, but patient in explaining. She also has a good eye for both aesthetics and details. I wanted the design of each bathroom fits in a theme but has its own characteristics. I also have a tight budget, and had to redo the selection for one room to control my budget. Somehow Deborah made a selection that checked every box on my wish list! She was also very meticulous in calculating the costs. I had an interesting experience at the Paramus location on 12/21/19. I was looking for backsplash tiles for my kitchen and had about 3-4 associates helping. Shaina was the one who helped sealed the deal for me, she was amazing. The story took a turn for me when the tiles I needed were located in a different store in another state- VA. I was told that there would be a SHIPPING FEE of $100 for inter-store transfer delivery....What?!!! Yes, this is Floor and Decor's policy. So now one would have to pay two shipping fees: inter-store of $100 and from store to home ~$150. ( In an age where Amazon shipping is mostly free) Had it not been for the great customer service from the team including the manager - Marcus and associate - Oscar in addition to the fact that I traveled from NYC via the NJ transit for 90 mins to get there, I would have left the $700 order and return home just on principle. I told the manager if someone asked me where I got the tiles I would respond by saying I don't remember. RUN FAR AWAY!! I placed an order for pickup, at time of fulfillment I was told my item wasn't in stock so I placed an order online to have it shipped to me. In the meantime, I called surrounding stores and found what I needed so I tried to cancel the online order - no one responded to my email asking to cancel it, chat said I couldn't cancel through them, phone calls don't go through and automated message said to send an email. Couldn't have had a better experience at F&D as a first time buyer. Looked around until I found something I liked, then I approached Chris and Tyrone who literally dropped everything they were working on (I could tell they were busy) and spent the rest of their time helping us until we walked out of the store. Tyrone was super professional, personable & social! We spent a great time chatting with him. Chris: hands down the most patient and professional person who could've helped us. Had to grab the pallet mover and move like 6 things out of the way in order to help us get to the floors we chose. He even came outside and helped my boyfriend load it into our car. This location has the WORST customer service and possibly racist. Someone leaves me a voice message saying I had until a certain date to pick up my order or I will be charged a "storage" fee. The storage fee is BS to begin with, but I arrive by said date to pick up my order but they charged me a $30 storage fee anyway. When I call BS, they shrugged their shoulders and basically told me too bad...it's store policy. Then when I asked why this policy was never clearly communicated in writing they pointed me to a link that's buried on their website that contains their terms and conditions in a very small font. They also said the manager has the right to override whatever their staff communicates to their customer. So if someone leaves you a voice message saying you have until X date to pick up your order, and you pick up your order by that date, the manager can still assess you a storage fee if they wish. Maybe it's because I am Asian they decided to charge me the storage fee (I seriously hope that is not the case). You would also think this "storage" policy would be clearly stated when they send you the email with your invoice, or even in the email letting you know that your order is ready for pick up. The manager, Carlos, who btw should be fired if he really is the manager, said the policy is only separately stated on the receipt that you receive in store and it was my fault for not knowing it since I placed my order online. What?!?!? I doubt Carlos is the manager, because no manager would say something that idiotic. I hope the real manager reads this and does the right thing by refunding me the $30 storage fee. I was told I had until a certain date to pick up the order, and I picked up the order by that date. Also, please do a better job training your staff. read more

This was my first home project using Floor and Decor. I got off to a bumpy start using the website to place my order - it kept crashing and I spent all day re-entering a large order and it never worked. I then called the customer service number and they said they couldn't help because I was having a contractor pick up my order. But, things turned around when I went to the store . One of the designers, Shaina, delayed going home to help me. Rich and Angelo and Chris at the Pro Service desk couldn't have been nicer or more helpful in putting my order together and expediting things. Was so grateful for these guys I can't even express it! Bottom line is that the corporate side of Floor and Decor has a lot of work to do to equal the dedication of the employees in their store. Came in to return some floor samples today on 3/22/2018, there was a line and only one register open. Christian was the person on register. There were three customers in front of me. One customer walks in and is able to make his return right away. The associate's name is Monica, she saw the line, but felt as though pushing back carts was more important than helping customers check out. A customer comes up to her, and she goes to help him without previously asking to help the people on the line. I asked her are there two separate lines, one for return and one for checkout. Monica replied with "ah, yea. I don't know" Floor & Decor management kindly advise Monica to help the people waiting on line and who are next in line instead of any random person coming up, who was not in line. I was referred to Floor & Decor in Paramus by a tile Contractor. I decided to take advantage of the free Design Consultation Service and was fortunate to meet Karina Kloeren. Karina and I worked together for a minimum of 6 weeks. During this timeframe, I made at least 5 trips to the store and she assisted me with my decisions every step along the way. She has a keen eye for design, colors and style. I valued her opinion and guidance and I finally completed my selections. Today, she fully assisted with making sure my order was ready for pick up and is making sure that the final two items will be shipped directly to me. She not only assisted with my selections, but I feel like I gained a good friend. Thanks Karina for your wonderful guidance. I am shocked in a good way at how helpful the employees are at this store. Seriously, they come around to see if you need help. One time I was here, Mikey helped me with getting all of my tiles and even suggested grout colors. Another time, Chris helped me with getting my tiles AND even offered to load them into my car for me because I had mentioned my wrist was hurt. Another time, an employee (wish I got her name), saw I was looking at some bullnoses and offered without even me asking to get more in the back for me if I needed it. I am shocked because this is a big store and in big stores, you expect bad service (ie. the Floor and Decor in Wayne), but the people here are friendly and helpful. Go to this location if you have a choice. The Floor and Decor in Wayne is abysmal as compared to this store. You don't just get bad service at Wayne, you will also get rude and dismissive attitudes there. read more

I had an excellent experience shopping at the Paramus Floor & Decor located at A & S drive. The staff was very helpful, specially Tyrone and Bill Hernandez. They answered all questions and were very professional in doing so. They have a very large variety of tile to chose from and make the shopping experience seamless. I ordered about 1500 sq ft of tile and the process was quick and painless. I will definitely be going back to F & D in the future to shop as well. An added bonus is you do not have to be worried about Covid safety protocols, the store is following all of them. read more

If you are looking for ordinary beige or white tile this is the store for you. They have many varieties of non descript tile. There is also a fair amount of trendy flooring and wall tiles. Although the staff is friendly they seem to be a bit unorganized at the registers. The pricing seems on point with any other tile store. They have nice vignettes for displaying the tile but they are limited. read more

On the positive side, It's convenient having this new store nearby because the only other Floor & Décor location nearby is all the way in Wayne, NJ. I like a lot of their floor tile selection, especially the varieties of tile that are made to look like wood in particular and also the cement look tiles. On the negative side, This Paramus store just opened recently and we tried to find a few different items and were told regarding each of them that they wouldn't be either stocked for the first time or restocked for months. Simple common things such as a certain type of floor reducer {the natural wood type that bridges the gap between tile flooring & wooden flooring}. We are in the middle of a kitchen reno and can't wait a month or two for an item to be stocked. This same thing has happened twice concerning not knowing when something will be stocked or restocked. And if they did happen to know if an item would be stocked they would give me a very far off date, all the while explaining that the store had only just opened and gave that as the reason why it was that way with the long wait for stocking/restocking. I don't really understand why it is that way because a New Shoprite supermarket location recently opened near us & they had everything in stock on the very first day that they opened. read more

Brian in customer service and Phil the store supervisor were very helpful guiding me to make sure everything went smoothly. Alex was on the floor and not only answered my questions but was extremely patient and thoughtful as I tried to find several new items. Very Disappointed. I bought around 2000sq/ft of porcelain tile and Mapei UltraFlex-2 White Mortar"thinset" after 6 months lots of tiles are coming out, the tiles are separating clean from the Mapei UltraFlex-2 White Mortar so my logical conclusion is that Mapei UltraFlex-2 White Mortar is a inferior product. I've done tile for over 15 years and I used mostly Home Depot cheap mortar thinset, but because this was my house I decided to use a more expensive product, expecting it to be better, not worse then cheap Home Depot mortar. This never happened in the 15 years that I installed tiles. I will never go back to Floor & Decor and I'll advise all my customers to stay away. read more
