Not sure why there are so many negative reviews!! Every room in my house has at least 10 or less things from Z Gallerie. I love their decor pieces. I've shopped online and in store and they have been so helpful. Whenever I've shopped online nothing came broken and everything I ever bought was very fragile - so impressed with that. When I went to the store a few times to pick out candles, candle holders & mats and I specifically asked for something that was out of stock online and in most stores the employees bent over backwards trying to see if they had any pieces left, they inspected the decor pieces for me to make sure there were no scratches and after 40 mins found what I wanted and there were literally 2 pieces left and I took one and an interior designer standing next to me loved it so much that she picked the other piece for her client. I love how the employees are so polite and always ask what it is that I'm looking for and help me find it. Love the brand, love every store I've ever been to of Z Gallerie in Sugarland Tx & New Jersey. I'm sad to see that they've closed down so many stores in the US. read more

I guess it's no surprise with the poor ratings this place has the worst customer service. I placed an order a month ago still hasn't arrived. Everyday the shipping date gets moved back. And if you try to call to find out tracking information be prepared to waste an hour or more on hold over the phone. It's nearly impossible to get a hold of a human being at this company. Don't buy anything! The customer service is inexistant, unless you're lucky enough to live close to a store! Ive been trying for two weeks to get a return label for some pillows I bought for a client and I still haven't heard back. I tried calling, after over an hour waiting to speak to someone, literally over an hour, I gave up. They make it impossible for you to return things! As a designer, this was my last order and won't be suggesting their products to my client. In fact I included some of their items in a recent presentation and removed them last minute, considering the lack of customer service! Some really nice things but it is obviously poorly managed. If they had better advice on how to get an item I would have saved a lot of money on shipping. Many of them couldn't care less about what is going on to the point of rudeness. Waits for items are very long and staff in general lacks knowledge of their merchandise. Shame, would have liked to buy more there for new home but will never go back. So many furniture stores to choose from. They'd be wise to get their you know what together. read more

SCAMMER ALERT! Bought a couch from these assholes and now I'm out $1700. Have been waiting for my couch since September 2023 (it is currently end of March 2024). They finally let me cancel my order after months of being backordered and they refuse to even let you know. The only reason I found out it was "backordered" is because I emailed to ask. It's like they think I'm going to forget I'm waiting for a piece of furniture. After they finally let me cancel I asked when I should expect the refund to my credit card and now they keep saying "sorry no refund store credit only." The best part is I have yet receive any information about my store credit. How do you tell me I have a store credit and then don't give me a number or id with the credit number so I could use it? Not that I even want it, I want a full refund. They give you the run around constantly. Used to be a luxury brand and now are completely scamming people. I hope Amex can resolve the issue. Guys please do not spend you money in this store! I made a large purchase back and regret it! I usually research and read reviews before buying anything but i think the company is listed under another name. I recently just began to research and found a bunch of negative reviews! I wish I would have known. Everything in the store is nice, beautiful and expensive for no reason! These sofas Morgan cost me 3k because I added pieces. First I received the sofas super late, but that's understandable due to Covid. The quality of these sofas are cheap and horrible! U would think I have small children that jump on these sofas for years! I started see wrinkles and the sofa sinks the very next day!! They don't offer a refund. The girl in the actual store in Paramus NJ were friendly and helpful but I honestly wouldn't waste my time or money in this store. U have to buy new sofas and furniture within a few months because the quality is cheap and it looks old! I was better off buying at BOBs furniture I think even they have better quality then ZGallery! Beautiful furniture and accessories for the home but rude and lazy sales associates. Management should rethink their business model if they want to stay in business. They filed for bankruptcy in March 2019 and had to close 17 stores. Simple solution...get rid of their current sales associates, train and get hire new sales associates that understand what it means to be a sales associate. They already have nice products that are reasonable priced (when on sale) but what makes a business is the customer service. read more

We ordered eight chairs November 2020 and were told we would have them early to mid February 2021. We have made many attempts to find out when we will actually get them after those dates passed and were told mid late feb early March but they keep extending there promised date. Now they are saying maybe sometime in MAY! This is not regarding the brick and mortar store It involves my online order with them because the items weren't in the store I ordered 6 pillows ( 3 sets) totaling approx $460 on 11/16 As of 11/ 24 I received nothing more than an order confirmation When I was in the store the girl was helpful when I asked her to check. She stated that the items 2 sets of pillows had not shipped yet AND one set of pillows was not due to ship until April. No one advised me of this. If you are decorating for the holidays this is a pretty relevant piece of info. NO communication So I cancelled the order AND THEN I checked with PayPal and Z Gallerie HAD TAKEN THE MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT ON THE DATE OF THR ORDER I DONT KNOW ANY STORE THAT WITHDRAWS MONEY FROM AN ACCOUNT BEFORE SHIPPING AND ESPECIALLY WHEN PART OF THE ORDER IS BACK ORDERED THROUGH APRIL 2021. And finally it will take 7-10 days to credit the money back as per ZGalleries customer service And still there is no guarantee. I ordered a bed from Z gallerie in the beginning of June and I am so disappointed that the shipping estimate has been pushed from 6 to 8 weeks to now up to 23 weeks or even beyond that if I go by other reviewers. Customer Service is SO useless and I really don't think they care about retaining their customers. I have already waited two months for a simple order and now I have to wait even longer without and compensation or incentive offered from customer service (please do better). I probably will have to dispute the entire order with my credit card company at this point. I don't want to receive this 6 months after only to find that it's damaged and then have to deal with the useless customer service. I am extremely disappointed!! Bad experience. We selected artwork and the store told us that it would be best ordered through them as opposed to online. Almost a month later, still waiting for the item. Customer service said it would be delayed further until they had a truckload of other items to be sent to the store. Had we ordered online it would have been here in less than a week. We asked the Customer Service Supervisor to expedite the order and they only cared about informing that it would require us to pay more money. I would refrain from purchasing any items from this company whatsoever, every single piece of furniture and desk that I purchased came damaged. I am SICK over the ordering experience we have had with ZGallerie. My fiance and I ordered what we though was our dream couch the day after Thanksgiving....Nov 27 2020. It is now May 17th 2021 and WE STILL DON'T HAVE OUR COUCH! They have all our money, haven't been response. As much as I love the style of Z Gallerie furniture always so glamorous and pretty, is equal to how much I hate their customer service for their rudeness and their I don't know the answer so just wait attitude. Their staff in the Paramus, NJ store is great! All of them always helpful, always creative and very polite. I have also made some online purchases and that is where I have a problem because now I have to deal with customer service. The delivery is always an issue, status on your orders is very evasive. I had a customer service rep literally say to me I had to just sit and wait til the end of the day for delivery to see if the drivers showed up. I should've learned my lesson then but I really wanted the dining chairs to go with the table I had already purchased, so I placed another online order on Black Friday Nov 2019. The order was supposed to take 9 weeks. I've been checking status every 10 days or so and of course on the ninth week all of a sudden it went from end of January delivery to possible Mid Feb. So I emailed to see if I can find out a better date or why there is a delay. I literally got a one line response saying they have the same answer I see on line. Stating they do not give out exact dates because of possible delays. Seriously? I spend all this money on your product and that's the answer I get. Not even a tentative date? a completion date? a reason to why there is a delay? This company not only has to get it together with their delivery they need to retrain their customer service. They are by far the worst unprofessional service I have ever come across over the phone and in email from their customer service reps to their supervisors. Post sale support is terrible, once they take your money they want nothing to do with you. They delivered a light with damaged crystals in Sept of 2018. They promised to ship replacement crystals, 5 months later, lots of phone calls and no crystals and no responses. Be careful with this company, I would never shop there again. read more

I ordered something back in November. Online said it was in stock, so I thought I should have no problem receiving it at least in 1-2 weeks if that. It is now January.. I have still not received it.. I called numerous times and get nothing but a run around. I was told it was supposed to ship 12/30 .. now they are telling me it's on back order until February! And to top it off I tried canceling and they said they can't guarantee it they need to check with the vendor. NEVER AGAIN will I deal with this place. The people are nice, but the website is misleading at best. Placed a gift order on December 5th. Wrote 3 emails-- 10th, 11th and 13th (today) asking when my order would ship. No response. When I placed the order it said that in stock items would deliver within 5 to 9 business days. Plenty of time to arrive before Christmas. This store has a huge social media presence, however, it is a horrible company to order from. STAY AWAY!!! In order to speak to a manager at their headquarters, they take a message and contact you back two days later (that's the protocol/procedure). They all have a cavalier/unprofessional attitude. I went in person and ordered 6 furniture pieces. The delivery company that delivered my sofa dirtied it and were very careless with the handling of the items. They are not white glove service. In order to get it cleaned, it took two months for the cleaning service to make an appointment, they never showed. They do not accommodate the customer or care to rectify their wrong doing. DO NOT open a credit card with Z Gallerie, it's the worse CC to have and what you are told in person, it is NOT true. I was told one thing at the store and was hit with a bill right away. I had picked out dining chairs on the Z website and decided to head to the Paramus location to see the chair in person. I arrived and was greeted by a kind sales person. I described the chair I was interested in purchasing and the color. She showed me the floor sample and she advised me to follow her to the computer where she'd find out if the color and texture were available. Mid way through my discussion with the sales agent, we were rudely interrupted by a man who immediately started inquiring about the chair I was looking for and wanted to show me another chair in a similar color. Was I stunned. The sales woman timidly advised me that this was Chris her manager. I'll spare the blow by blow details and say that Chris was very professionally UNPROFESSIONAL. He made the sales woman appear incompetent (she was GREAT). He jumped all over me and this sale. I had to yelp and tell her she was wonderful. I do apologize for not remembering her name as I was hijacked by Chris. He made my whole visit very uncomfortable. If you are the manager, please only step in when asked and introduce yourself to the customer as such. read more

I had high hopes for this store, but it's as if they just opened yesterday with no idea how to run a business. First, we went into the store to buy a few pieces of art we saw in the catalog and liked. However, they didn't have them in the store, so they ordered them for us and told us they would be there to pick up in about 2 weeks. The salesperson at the time of order forgot to apply the 20% discount they were offering so I had to call customer service later and have them change it. 3 months later, we finally get a call saying our pieces have arrived for pick-up. We couldn't get there that same weekend so we went the following week. When we arrived, we found out they restocked one of the pieces we ordered and then couldn't guarantee that they would be able to get it back in stock to ship to us. This has been the worst purchasing experience I have ever had with a company like this. The entire process from start to finish was completely mishandled - wrong expectations set on timeline, forgetting to apply the discount, and then shipping back our order after it finally arrived in the store.
