We walked into the store for the amazing prices listed online for tiles and wood paneling. Pricing ranging from a few cents to 3 dollars, amazing quality, and service. At first glance, the store is clean and well kept. We were stopped and asked if we needed help by far the BEST and knowledgeable associate named Barbara. Barbara walked us through the whole entire process from picking the right tiles for the kitchen to checking us out personally. She assured that we were happy with what we picked. She also kept it completely honest about the product and how much we might need for our wall. I can't rave about how much I appreciate her opinion and sense of humor. This place is a joke. Staff knows nothing about flooring. Products are low grade with as much mark up as they can possibly get on low quality flooring. Left as soon as I figured out the person helping had no flooring knowledge about anything with trying to buy something for my attic and basement. really let down. read more

Just an update. We ordered our tile, and staff was again super helpful. They helped us pick out the right grout, helped us load up our cars, just great in every way. Additionally, the price could not be beat. We did look at tile at the Wayne store once because this store cannot open on Sundays. Also, it is a bigger store. The difference in service is astounding. The employees in Wayne barely seemed to have a pulse, and were not at all knowledgeable. Paramus is the way to go! The service, pricing and variety of stock are all fantastic. read more

I visited the Floor & Decor in Paramus, NJ today. Being handicapped, it was difficult for me looking for flooring for my new home. I was using a scooter to get around but it was difficult to look at the flooring. Along came Tyrone!!! He helped me tremendously showing and explaining the different types of flooring and explaining what would be needed to do an installation. He was very patient with me and took the time to take out the flooring from the bins so I could see it better. He was extremely patient and helpful. I love this place for flooring. I just picked up 35 boxes of beautiful vinyl plank flooring to be put down in my vacation rental at Mountain Creek in Vernon New Jersey. Floor and decor is amazing! The prices are great compared to other places and the best thing is that they offer free designer services!! That really is something you need even if you think you don't. Crystal worked with us on every little detail that we would normally forget or not even notice we needed . She knows the store in and out so you can just describe a look or style you want and she'll help you build the design and match every little piece. It really is better than spending hrs lost in a big store and definitely better than doing it online only to find you forgot something or that there was a better option you missed because you were tired (there really is a lot of options that she helped narrow down), she also helped us figure out the quantities we needed. I'm so disappointed in the the multiple interactions I had with the Paramus store over the last month. On July 10th, I ordered a backsplash for delivery. Weeks later, I received no communication from the store. It took me three hours to get through via phone to an actual human. I was then told my items would be picked for delivery by Tuesday the latest and then I should expect a call. Never happened. I called back only to be told my item was no out of stock. Another young man with zero customer service skills got on the phone and told me he would call another store to check their inventory and would call me back. It's a week later. Still zero communication and again, unable to reach a human at the store: I even emailed the store manager, no response. Corporate...please get in there and save this store. I understand a covid work shortage and I've been more than patient. But this is absurd. I drove to Danbury today and they were amazing. read more

We ordered and payed for the floor and delivery in the Willowbrook store. The person by the register told us that they will contact us within a week. Three weeks went by and we tried to call the store multiple times and spend hours on the phone with no success. Then we went in person to Willowbrook store and they said that the floor is in Paramus so we went there and Paramus store tried to send us to Elizabeth store saying the same thing. We told the manager that we won't go anywhere unless they will get in touch with delivery department. They also had trouble getting through bit finally they did. That was not the end of the story. The delivery guy parked the truck at the end of the block and try to tell us that he can't get the floor inside unless we pay him. we had horrible experience and we will never buy anything from them ever again. Words cannot express how patient and kind Marly was with the transaction. What a disaster of a store. I called this morning to see if they had tile I needed to finish my bathroom, and spoke to a female on the phone(my mistake not taking her name) she did tell me they had the tile in stock and would be holding it for me at the pro-service desk. When I arrived at the pro service desk and asked for my tile the girl there looked at me like I had two heads and with a really nasty attitude told me that they don't hold unpaid merchandise there and told me to go to the front that my tile was there. So I proceeded to the front only for the girl at the register to tell me my tile is not there. I felt like I got the round a round in this store after spending thousand of dollars there. Will not be returning to the Paramus location. Very poor customer service with employees that have no manners and are straight up rude. Floor and Decor where do you find these people? read more

Did a special order for custom flooring that was to be delivered to the store. Called this morning to tell me it's in. The store is 45 mins from my house. They couldn't find the order when I got there and i was there for 2 hours trying to figure out what happened. No one knew what they were doing or what was going on with the order. I would give zero stars if I could, I purchased a floor on June 20,2019. Jonny was our salesman he was very helpful so we ordered the floor and they told us it would take about 2 weeks to get .The floor came in and we went to pick it up,the 20 boxes were on a skid and wrapped in clear wrap,they put the skid right in the back of my pickup.When I got home I unwrapped it to bring it in the house,at this time I found 1 box damaged with 6 pieces of flooring damaged the box was turned in so you were unable to see the damaged box while it was sealed in plastic wrap. I called floor and decor as soon as I found it,we spoke to Steve in the command center ,he stated I'm not sure if I can order 1 box ,then he asked me if it was wrapped with a red stripe on it and I said yes it has a red stripe , he then said it wasn't packaged by floor and decor it was wrapped by the manufacturer,I then said i don't care who packaged it I brought the floor from you. We then called back in about a week and spoke to Najah and was unable to find anything in the computer about STEVE ordering the box I needed,and STEVE was going to call me back we'll that nevered happened.So the next day I called back good luck with that I after going through of of the phone commands you get disconnected and now start all over again. I then spoke to someone else in the command center and he stated that STEVE never ordered the box I needed. They originally stated they would send me the replacement box ,when I spoke to the last person they stated that I would have to go back to the store and pick it up, I told them I live in Staten Island about an hour away that I would not drive back there.My contractor came to do the floor and had to use the broken flooring as fill in's . There real quick to sell you the product but no help when they SCREW UP. Buyer beware read more

Purchased 3x9" Pure brand glass tile for backsplash. Installed tile per Floor and Décor specifications (contractor even what a nice job we did). Suddenly 2 months post install developed cracks in 4 tiles. Inquired F&D what might have gone wrong and how to replace cracked tiles. They responded "I am not certain what went wrong. We do offer installation classes or if you click the link below you can view our trusted installation partner." Well isn't that helpful! Do not install glass tiles on your back splash! Google it - there are many people who have had problems with tiles cracking. read more

I have owned a home for over 25 years and I have never had the horrible experience as I have had with Floor and Decor in Paramus. I have never written a negative review in my life....but I would not even want my worst enemy to go through what I have gone through with this store. My husband and I loved the Nucore flooring that we picked out. We read the reviews and all seemed pretty positive so we went to Floor & Decor...First, we had an issue with Installations made Easy their installation company but it was rectified immediately. The first estimator who worked for Floor Crafter in Red Bank...gave us the price and what was to be done and we agreed...He was to send over the estimate the next day it turned into..a week later but then his boss/wife of the owner told us that all that info was wrong and their price was nearly double what I was told by their estimator???. I called Installations Made easy---ironic name to us--- but they told us We could to get a new estimate from another installer they used and was from Bergen County...He came the next day and gave us the same price we were originally quoted...and he has been great from his estimate to installation thus far. I would recommend Anthony Diuardo from ADJR Tile in Bergen County to anyone ...Installations made Easy had great customer service so did he so we were ready to move on.Anthony calls, return calls... again he is thorough. ! wish Floor & Decor in Paramus was the same. This process began on 5/4 and we were happy...we were we would have the product by 5/18 and we can move on installation week of 5/18...However, no call that our product was in. Anthony called and no one answers at the store ...I called and never got an answer either ...He went to the store over the weekend and everything had been sitting there except for 1 piece. We went to the store and asked why no phone call...no one knew. Oh then a reason was given -- that 1 piece is no longer available in my color and no one called. No apology it was just an oversight... I swear the entire order would still be sitting there if we did not go in. We are then told they no longer manufacture that piece---they called from store to store 2 hours later we waited -- no one has that piece in my color --- and no one knows what to do and corporate had no replacement??? Rather than start over I found a similar colored reducer they ordered it on 5/22---it was to arrive 6/4- so the flooring except for this reducer was installed...we had to use a rug to cover this area until today -- By 6/6 no call again. I then call 3 times after that each time you are on hold for over an hour and I am told it is to now arrive 6/11--ARE YOU SURE the answer was YES...Guess what I called on 6/11 and was told FEDEX comes after 2 to call back... I do and I was told no one should given a date, there is no way of tracking not everything comes FEDEX it and that info was wrong I was put on hold again 1/2 an hour later... so now 1 1/2 hours later and Sergio says oh but it was only a 1/2 an hour I waited on his line(he missed the 3 transfers) and like even if i t were a half an hour that is good???, He will send an email to the manufacturer apparently no one has a tracking number, to call back tomorrow....It is now 6/12 after another hour on hold this morning and 2 phone calls today while I was typing this.., They think they found IT!! EUREKA it was delivered...I should be happy I guess??? If you have nothing better to do than to wait on hold or write this review while on hold...no exaggeration I did just that..DO NOT shop there, they do not answer their phones and when they do they make up stuff even their names!!! The sales people are nice,but clueless and with no customer service what so ever!!! This is no way to do business especially in NJ. read more

Amazing store all around - service, selection, everything! We works with Barbara who was GREAT - we needed to buy tiles for 2 bathrooms and had no clue where to begin ... she walked us through every selection and made sure we left with not only great design choices, but every single item we need to complete the job. We were done in about an hour and without her help, it would have taken ALL DAY. In terms of product, tons to choose from and everything we selected was in stock in the quantity needed so literally, managed to check this daunting task off the list in short order! He called to confirm the appointment but never showed up. Very unprofessional and made me waste valuable time just waiting and waiting for someone to call or show up. I would give this place a negative -5 rating if I could. A while back a large unattended dolly that was sitting by the front door of the store rolled down across the parking lot and struck my car. The tailgate of my SUV was damaged and has an estimated damaged of over $600. I immediately called the Paramus police department and got a detailed police report. Since the store manager at the time was unavailable I returned home. After months of trying to get the store manager to call me back to explain what happened with no avail, I went back to the store yesterday. The manager's name is Ken (same as mine just to confirm it's not a mistake), and he couldn't be any more rude. He didnt want to hear anything I had to say. He refused to look at the damages, at the police report and dismissed everything I said with the worst attitude I have ever encountered at a large box retailer such as this one. I'm not sure why he was so combative and quick to dismiss me unwilling to help. It's a simple property damage that could be handled without being contronational. I have since called the corporate office of my complaint as well as the damages. This store gets unfortunately 1 star from me. read more

I am very disappointed with this company. My husband and I bought tiles for our new home this past summer 2019 from the Paramus store. We decided to open their card which had no interest for at least one year but no one told us that part of the balance had to be paid by a date that was less than a year. Although it was stated in the statement and we are at fault for not seeing this warning, I am so disappointed that this company was not able to work with us. All we missed was one month from when that early balance had to be paid, and they could not waive it, especially given that we are all suffering financially through this current pandemic. It was just one month...$60. Now they have surely lost a customer in us and all our family and friends. I think that it was very sneaky for them not to give us the heads up when we opened the card. For example, we bought appliances from PC Richards around the same time and the sales gentleman made us aware before even opening the card that there would be an early balance that had to be paid. To me that is being honest. PC Richards will have lifelong loyal customers in us unlike Floor and Decor. Very disappointing. read more

Where do I begin? The store? It's awesome. The concept is going to put all other tile stores out of business. It's bright, wide open and all of the tile is on large display. The experience? It's fantastic because staff to customer ratio is almost 1:1 on most days (I've been to the stores every day of the week). That means if you have any questions you don't have to go hunting for a person who will tell you something like "I do not work in this department" (as per typical home center). The information? Top notch. They realize that not everyone is a tile fanatic and knows everything about tile so they have these boards that explain everything about the tile such as edge, type, material, hardness and etc. I have NEVER seen this information at any other tile store. Usually you'd have to contact the manufacturer in order to find out the PEI rating or if the tile is screen printed or inkjet printed. Floor and Decor has this information listed right on the price tag. BAM! Done! Prices? Well they cannot be beat unless you are buying some close out from some lame tile reseller. Return policy? Top notch, usually tile sellers do not want to take anything back and never have any samples, not an issue here. You can buy just 1 tile or 1 pallet and you can return 1 tile or 29 tiles and they do not mind at all. Further, you do not even need to keep the receipt, give them your phone number and they pull it up. Once I forgot to give the cashier my phone number and needed to return something, they spent a few minutes and looked up the transaction by date and processed my return without me looking for the receipt. I've never seen that anywhere. Sure home centers will pull up a receipt by your credit card but nobody will look it up by date and item number! However the best part of the store is it's staff. Everyone is super friendly and unlike in your typical retailer where everyone is trying very very hard to run away from you and dismiss any questions you may have here they run towards you. But do not confuse that for a retailer where people work on commission and will stand behind your back and annoy you until you buy something. This is totally different. I am strong believer that if the employer treats it's employee well they will perform better and from the looks of it, this looks like a case of good work life balance between employee and the employer which translates to good customer service! Finally, while I really think everyone that works at Floor and Decor is knowledgeable there are some employees that have YEARS of tiling experience and that cannot be substituted with any training. What is also important is that people realize that they may not have the experience to answer your question and they will direct you to the person that can. They do not feel ashamed saying I do not know. That is SUPER important. If I can give any advice to the upper management is that keep reinforcing this to your staff. Nothing is more irritating than someone reading the label in front of you to answer your question where you have already done the same. I had some really odd technical questions and the person I asked was not sure, he did not try to spitball the answer but instead said I do not know and sent me to see Ken. Ken was very helpful. He knew exactly what I was asking and was able to direct me in the right direction. He did not try to oversell me on something that I do not need and instead told me to go with a cheaper alternative. I went back and spoken with Ken another 10 times while I was laying my tile and he was super helpful every single time. Every product he recommended worked out great! He even gave me a hug when he found out that my wife had just given birth! What a great guy; you guys better keep him happy as I think he is your most popular employee you have. Lately I noticed there is a line of people queuing up to see him. Thank you Ken, you've made my day. read more

Words can't describe how terrible phone customer service is. I tried to call to have my order changed to pickup from delivery and I was trying to get a hold of someone for AN HOUR. I was put on hold for 10+ minutes four different times to the point where I wasted so much time waiting for someone to answer a phone I asked to speak to a manager. After another extremely long hold they finally answered and "helped" me in a few minutes. Turns out he never actually changed my order and when I went to come pick up my flooring they said it was never changed and that I would have to wait "a while" or come back later. At this point extremely furious as well as other customers waiting I can tell there is either not enough people working here or they are just careless. I've been standing at the counter for 44 minutes already and no one has come by to inform me what is going on. Perfect place to come if you want your time to be wasted. read more

I wish I can give a no stars review. There was no one that could assist us finding the tile we needed. I was told by the one person I could find that he did not know anything about tile and I needed to find a girl that works in the tile department. When I finally find the tile I needed (by myself) and proceed to the grout section, We come across an employee who tells us that all we need to apply this mosaic tile is Bostik Neverseal. He then looks at the amount of tile we have an says to get the 9lb bucket. Tells us to just apply this with a paint brush and that is all we would need to do this backsplash. Needless to say this was not the right advice and when we tried to start the project today it was not working. I have called the store and the manager knew the exact employee that gave the wrong advice ( guessing I was not the first). Since I do not live in NJ and I am not going to spend more money on tolls to return this product but now I have way too much grout and now have to go to homedept to buy the correct stuff. We shopped around at all the tile stores in the area before hearing about the grand opening of Floor & Decor in Paramus. Without question, this place has the largest selection of affordable, quality tiles that I've ever seen. But that's exactly what can make the experience of shopping here completely overwhelming. Lucky for us, we met Karina in the Design Department and she was a total God-send. She patiently took us through the store on multiple occasions, walking with us for hours at a time, as we painstakingly chose tiles for five different bathrooms and a kitchen. She gave sound advice, provided pictures of designs when we couldn't visualize tile combinations and stuck with us from start to finish - tile selection, grout color selection and even making sure the right tiles made it onto the truck. She is hands down the best employee there. We are beyond happy with how our tiles turned out. If you're shopping here, you'll want to ask for Karina by name! read more
