We had no idea what to expect but were looking for a relaxing couples experience to enjoy after our wedding. This place had great reviews online, is close to where we live/work and had a ton of evening time slots available for the date we were looking for. When we arrived, it was a bit strange because it is in an inconspicuous building with a bank. Not your typical spa storefront, but don't let it deter you from going inside and giving it a go. Everything is very clean and the minute you open the exterior door you are greeted with the calming scent of eucalyptus. The check-in process was extremely efficient and pleasant. The women checking us in was prompt, polite and calmly explained each step of the check-in process and how the float/overall experience would work. They had IPads we used to complete our check-in forms and then we completed charts with images of the human body where we could circle areas we wanted extra time spent on during the massage or areas we wanted to avoid. They also provided complimentary hot stones, stretching and/or essential oils. You also indicate on the chart the type of massage you want such as Swedish or Chinese deep tissue as well as the type of pressure/pressure level you would like. Bonus - their bathroom has a smart toilet with a remote-control bidet. It's the only restroom in the place. The float was very nice, peaceful and overall, a unique experience. We floated together and recommend both the floating headrests and ear plugs. The music is hard to hear at certain spots in the tank. We opted for the ocean waves - it could be different if you go with the meditation music. Also, for us, it was difficult to relax but I think that is because you have to quiet your mind and that is easier for some than others. We got the saltwater in our eyes so make sure you have the spray bottle near the float tank doors for easy access. We didn't have it next to the door to start and had to jump out to rinse our eyes in the shower. Now, the massage part. We signed up for a couples massage. We were placed in the same room. It was a clean space. They only have female masseuses. We do not think they looked at our client preference sheets at all or if they did, they had questions and did not ask. He wanted a Swedish massage with medium pressure. I wanted a Chinese deep tissue massage with medium pressure and some places with hard pressure. We both got wrecked (lol!) I mean, we got elbows all over the body and the most intense pressure I have ever felt during a massage in my life. At one point, he asked for lighter pressure but later he told me nothing changed. The next day we were sore and some parts of us felt better - like our muscles were looser in our legs, for example. But this was not relaxing at all. It made for an excellent story, and we may come back especially because of the location and prices but we will be much more vocal about our preferences and be sure to speak up much more than we did this first time. If you have never had a massage before this may not be the best place to get your first. But for those who have had many, including in other parts of the world like Asia, then you will do fine.

I absolutely love this place. My sister and her husband have a membership here and come probably several times a week and every time I am up here for business/pleasure then we stop on over at Float Oasis. The first time I floated I had no idea what to expect and it was a bit challenging to get out of my end and just relax and meditate. After a few visits it became easier and easier and now I absolutely love it. The staff here are friendly and I love the showers (regular and rain shower) and the rooms are always clean, freshly stocked with shampoo, body wash, and conditioner and they smell good too! The enclosed eight-foot Floataround by FloatawayUSA is incredible. This place literally has the best floating pools one can buy (about 50K) each and they have several of them. It is easy to book an appointment here, as it can be done over the phone or just online. The prices are very reasonable as well. Their family membership at $100 a month is a great deal, as it includes 3 - 60 minute floats a month and anything after those it is 50% off for additional hour-long floats ($30), if you pay in cash you will get a $5 credit for next time. Overall, a wonderful experience, facility and the nicest one I have seen so far. [Review #620] (10th Review of 2020)

I've been wanting to float for so long, and when I saw an ad on Facebook about Float Oasis's Couple Floats, I was sold. For $75, my husband and I got to float together for 45 minutes. When you enter the building and go down the stairs, they are (currently) still doing a little work on the landing area. You will take your shoes off and slip on some sandals they have by the shoe racks. There isn't a sign telling you to do so (or not), so perhaps it's optional? Lol. The vibe of the whole place is so relaxing. So many pretty plants, etc! The two staff members we worked with (11:45 AM float on 4/8/18) were AMAZING. They immediately made us feel welcomed. They asked if we needed to use the restroom (THAT HAS THE COOLEST TOILET EVER), then led us to our room where we received a brief orientation before we were left to shower and float! The float itself was amazing. I alternated between almost sleeping and being insanely alert. I got salt in my eye once, but we don't need to talk about that! Hahahah After our float, we were welcomed to use the vanity room to dry our hair, etc. They have a bunch of complimentary products for you to use, as well. Once my hair was (finally) dry, we made our way to the lounge and sipped some complimentary tea while the staff checked in on us. Because we paid full price (versus paying a promo price), we received $10 of "Float Cash". Our parting gift from the staff was some extra reminders to hydrate and relax today. The staff, the environment, and the business as a whole earned a 5-Star rating. We will DEFINITELY be back! Thinking about getting a post-float massage next time, too! Thanks, Float Oasis!

I'm very impressed with the service the minute that I walked in. After seeing Float Oasis on Facebook, I wanted to check them out in person. After an initial walk through, I decided to give a 30 minute float a try. I am impressed based on the initial visit. For my needs at the moment, a 30 minute float is just right even though it's cheaper to get a 60 minute float indirectly. I'll be back in the near future. I personally would of liked the water to be warmer than it was. I'm a hot tub type of a person. But my aches and pains went away and very relaxed after a 30 minute float.

I tried something new yesterday, an experience that came highly recommended. It turned out to be…read moresuch a remarkable experience that I think I need to share it. I spent an hour in a tank today. Huh? I stepped into a float tank where I experienced something called "flotation therapy." It's relaxation through sensory deprivation and believe me, it is relaxing. What is a float tank? Think of a shallow bathtub inside a phone booth. The tub is filled with water that is charged with Epsom salts. The salt content makes you buoyant so your body floats easily in ten inches of saltwater. I arrived early for my appointment because it was my first visit. There is paperwork to complete (electronically, welcome to the 21st Century) and I sat in the relaxation room to do so. The spa is a warm and welcoming atmosphere with friendly guides who explain everything you need to know about your service. I entered the therapy room and in a cozy area, I quickly undressed. I stepped into the shower and washed off the daily grind, then carefully stepped into the chamber. It is lit with soft, blue light and relaxing synthesized music plays softly. I switched off the light but since music is a major part of my life, I let it play. (If you prefer, you can shut it off or you can play your own music through your cell phone via cable connection.) The experience of floating in total darkness is weird at first, but it didn't take long before I could feel every muscle relax and let go. I could also clearly hear the music underwater when my ears slipped below the surface. (Optional earplugs are provided and no, my face was never near submersion.) I had no sense of time passing. In the dark, and it is very dark inside the chamber, I felt sensations of movement. The chamber is, of course, small so my fingers, toes and the top of my head sometimes contacted the edge of the tub but I felt a sensation of motion like I was floating in circles. If I had to compare it to something, I would say it felt the way I imagine it would feel to be an astronaut, floating around the International Space Station or a Gemini capsule. My mind was racing for about half of the session but in a good way. Eventually, I felt a sense of peace sweep over me. Others who have experienced floating say they actually fall asleep. I don't remember falling asleep, but I do remember being very relaxed and all sense of time was lost. When the time limit was reached, a white light gently illuminated the chamber, signaling that my time was up. I stepped into the shower and washed off the salt, then quickly dressed and returned to the lobby. For that 75 minutes, the world simply melted away and I was simply floating in space, in my own private universe. Afterward, I was totally relaxed and could understand how a strand of spaghetti feels. I look forward to my next session, too! If you feel like you want to try this unique relaxation therapy, send me a private message and I'll give you the pertinent details. It's a luxury you owe to yourself.

When we were greeted, they gave us a great run down of the space, how to use it and what to expect. I loved that we had different options while we were floating. You could listen to calming music or turn it off, and you could keep the light on or turn it off. Everything is up to your preference. You start and end your session by taking a shower. Soap, shampoo and conditioner are all provided for you. They also offer styling tools like combs and blow dryers if you need to use them after. All you really need to bring is a change of clothes if you want them. I was nervous about being too anxious while floating, but I found the experience super calming. I ended up falling asleep for the last half of my float after turning the lights off. This is definitely something I would love to do again. If you're on the fence, it's worth trying at least once!

I can credit Evolve for doing a good job with the consistency of the temperature. My body, the air, and the water were all within a degree or two. The tank was pretty quiet too. At first, it smelt like old gloves, but I guess I got used to it. My experience as relaxing and curiously like taking a nap. It was neat, but not like it was life changing. I can see why this has not really swept the nation. An hour is a good time. Evolve is no spa. Not even close. I would think I would have been just as comfortable if it was in some guys basement. The center is a business building in the middle of Waukesha. Parking is in back. The Easter Seals will call to give you a ticket if you do not park in the right spot. The Easter Seals are so annoying. Good cause, horribly ran organization. Evolve is set up it what appears to be an old rental office. Besides the tank, I am guessing everything else is from a garage sale and hardly sanitary. The shower is installed so no water hits below your waist. It is really small. Not classy at all. Leave your wallet purse in the car, because there is no place to lock anything. My biggest gripe was that the guy who was working really gave me grief about my Groupon. He made me get my phone and prove I bought it, because the print out I had "was unredeemable." He was not cool about it either. He wanted me to pay for it and dispute the purchase with Groupon. I probably would have picked a fought him if he would gave me any more grief. He did eventually take the Groupon off my phone. (I do not think this was the owner, I think it was just a kid hired to sit around and keep the place open.) All in all- I do not regret going. Evolve is the only float tank in town as far as I know. If I ever would go float again, I would go to a spa somewhere, for a better experience. The price was fair at Evolve with a Groupon, but they will not be able to stay open the way they are running the business now. It does not seem to be set up to cater to clean people. Hopefully they can get some more captital to clean up operation.

But , when I first got to the location for my appt, I arrived to the address that was on Apple Maps (the same place I clicked where I initially booked the apt) it took me to the "wrong place" they informed me upon calling. I had walked to the location initially but then was informed the correct location was 5 miles away. I almost cancelled because I didn't want to start a spa moment on a negative foot. But I rallied and managed to make my way there by borrowing a friend's car, and there was zero acknowledgement of the call when I arrived. Not looking for a discount but at least a normal conversation! I chalked it up to them being new and still working out the kinks, but pretty sure this location is over 7 years old. Shannon set up my appointment and greeted me when I first walked in. We spoke about how long I would go for. I changed into a robe, and slippers, in their beautiful changing room and I locked up my belongings in a locker. I entered the suite and was told about the ear plugs, which they had 2 different types. I preferred the blue ones which were attached to a string and went behind my neck. I liked that they fit inside my ear perfectly to block the water during my soak. Shannon directed me to shower prior to entering the tank. Right next to the tank is a stool that contained a small spray water bottle . This is to use, in case of salt getting into your eyes. You enter the tank completely naked. There is no reason to wear a swimsuit. The first thing I noticed was that my breathing seemed to change inside the tank. I didn't really think about it, but I also noticed that my lips were very dry as well. The temperature of the water was almost 96 degrees which is the temperature as the surface of my skin. I noticed that inside the tank seemed humid which made taking a breath difficult at first. I think it gave me a little anxiety. I was able to open up the door and as soon as I did that, I was fine. Right away I talked myself into calming down and I started to breath normally. I listened to wonderful soothing music and there were small twinkle lights right above in the ceiling. I completely calmed down and was able to close my eyes. I placed the blue halo behind my head to keep my head floating. It was very comfortable. I might have even drifted off to sleep. I got out of the tank, prior to my time being up. I took a quick shower to rinse off the epsom salts and washed my hair. I ended up soaking for 45 minutes which turned out to be just enough time. It went by quickly. The first benefit I noticed was how relaxed I felt. My migraine headache was gone and I felt amazing. also was extremely thirsty so Shannon gave me a bottle of water. I got dressed and blew my hair dry with the most amazing blow dryer. The blow dryer was something that might be used in a fancy salon. I loved it. Honestly I felt as though I was in a fancy spa. My experience was truly amazing and I will definitely be returning. My session was $55 for 45 minutes and was worth it. My body felt amazing.
