Imagine speaking to a healthcare professional who is also well-versed in holistic modalities! She can get you on the right track. My last visit my boyfriend and I did an ionic foot bath. While we were both a little skeptical that any toxins were really going to come out through our feet, the proof was in the proverbial pudding. Mine wasn't so bad, but my boyfriend's was almost BLACK. (I think it's because he eats like a 12 year old boy.) The facility is super clean and spacious. There is one side for the salt float pools, sauna, shake plate (not sure if that's what it's called), and the ionic foot baths. On the other side of the space, there are rooms used by other practitioners (massage, etc.). You can rent the largest room for small events (workshops, yoga, sound baths, etc.). Aloha Float and Wellness is little hike from where I live (I'm near Bayshore Mall), conveniently right off the highway and easy to find. It is on the lower level of an office building with plenty of parking. Check out this hidden gem in the Greater Milwaukee Area. I will definitely be back!!!

When we were greeted, they gave us a great run down of the space, how to use it and what to expect. I loved that we had different options while we were floating. You could listen to calming music or turn it off, and you could keep the light on or turn it off. Everything is up to your preference. You start and end your session by taking a shower. Soap, shampoo and conditioner are all provided for you. They also offer styling tools like combs and blow dryers if you need to use them after. All you really need to bring is a change of clothes if you want them. I was nervous about being too anxious while floating, but I found the experience super calming. I ended up falling asleep for the last half of my float after turning the lights off. This is definitely something I would love to do again. If you're on the fence, it's worth trying at least once!

I also thought to myself, who the hell can float for 60 minutes?! Needless to say, I had it all wrong! I have never felt so relaxed in my life! The entire experience from start to finish is 5-stars for me. The facility is clean, I appreciate the amenities, and the staff is friendly. And 60 minutes is not too long after all. After my float, my body and mind feel so relaxed and rested. If I had the option to float weekly, I would!

I loved that I could watch my favorite movie in the sauna -- it made the time go by super fast! I do wish the float tank was slightly warmer but I do know the purpose of it is to be around body temp. Overall I had a great experience and I'd recommend to try it out if you're curious!

The location was clean and everything functioned generally appropriately, but I was chilly the whole time while floating (full body goosebumps) so maybe it was just me, but could not really get the peace I was seeking. Additionally, the music in the tank never started/was broken so 3/4 way though the lights and music came on, which the staff said would indicate the session is over. I did think it was early so turned both off, but they started again so I got out. When I was shampooing my hair I got a knock on the door that I still had time left to float. I was already warmed up in the shower so opted not to go back inside. They gave me 10$ offer because they said the music and lights were malfunctioning. Not the worst thing ever - stuff happens. But , when I first got to the location for my appt, I arrived to the address that was on Apple Maps (the same place I clicked where I initially booked the apt) it took me to the "wrong place" they informed me upon calling. I had walked to the location initially but then was informed the correct location was 5 miles away. I almost cancelled because I didn't want to start a spa moment on a negative foot. But I rallied and managed to make my way there by borrowing a friend's car, and there was zero acknowledgement of the call when I arrived. Not looking for a discount but at least a normal conversation! I chalked it up to them being new and still working out the kinks, but pretty sure this location is over 7 years old. At least put the correct address in your initial confirmation message with a warning to use google maps vs Apple Maps since it was clear they've had that discussion many times before. Alternatively, offer a great product that no one can argue.

I had such a wonderful experience as a first time soaker. I woke up on Saturday morning with a bad…read moremigraine and was stressed out. My Mom had suggested that I go for a soak. Shannon set up my appointment and greeted me when I first walked in. We spoke about how long I would go for. I changed into a robe, and slippers, in their beautiful changing room and I locked up my belongings in a locker. I entered the suite and was told about the ear plugs, which they had 2 different types. I preferred the blue ones which were attached to a string and went behind my neck. I liked that they fit inside my ear perfectly to block the water during my soak. Shannon directed me to shower prior to entering the tank. Right next to the tank is a stool that contained a small spray water bottle . This is to use, in case of salt getting into your eyes. You enter the tank completely naked. There is no reason to wear a swimsuit. The first thing I noticed was that my breathing seemed to change inside the tank. I didn't really think about it, but I also noticed that my lips were very dry as well. The temperature of the water was almost 96 degrees which is the temperature as the surface of my skin. I noticed that inside the tank seemed humid which made taking a breath difficult at first. I think it gave me a little anxiety. I was able to open up the door and as soon as I did that, I was fine. Right away I talked myself into calming down and I started to breath normally. I listened to wonderful soothing music and there were small twinkle lights right above in the ceiling. I completely calmed down and was able to close my eyes. I placed the blue halo behind my head to keep my head floating. It was very comfortable. I might have even drifted off to sleep. I got out of the tank, prior to my time being up. I took a quick shower to rinse off the epsom salts and washed my hair. I ended up soaking for 45 minutes which turned out to be just enough time. It went by quickly. The first benefit I noticed was how relaxed I felt. My migraine headache was gone and I felt amazing. also was extremely thirsty so Shannon gave me a bottle of water. I got dressed and blew my hair dry with the most amazing blow dryer. The blow dryer was something that might be used in a fancy salon. I loved it. Honestly I felt as though I was in a fancy spa. My experience was truly amazing and I will definitely be returning. My session was $55 for 45 minutes and was worth it. My body felt amazing.
