Unlike anything you've done period period. You can make an appointment online, the tanks are located inside a small office park right on Venice Boardwalk. It's near the north end of the boardwalk and is one of the stranger and lesser travelled areas of Venice at night. Once parked, you call to get in, you will find a small office that feels like a spiritual experiments lab. The lights are only purple and blue. A small orientation commences and one is made aware of the do's and don'ts. The whole experience feels a bit strange at the beginning but I promise if you do this and get "The Float" you will find it entirely unique and really really cool. The tank looks like a black bank vault on the outside and inside is your own private universe of endless pitch black. At the bottom of the tank there is pool of submerged ultra salt water that causes you literally float effortlessly. One lays in the water and infinity for up to two hours. After a very short time if you let yourself relax, you will feel the induced meditation. It can be a bit startling and foreign getting settled for the first time, but this is a must do experience that leaves one feeling surprised/stimulated yet really really calm. Physically, your entire body feels like a heavy layer of weight has been lifted/peeled off of you, this feeling is also pretty incomparable. Here for a moment, there for a moment, and then it's over (maybe) Go again if you'd like

The best float tanks in the business! Everyone needs to try floating at least once if not 100 times. :)

Cam was incredibly professional, courteous, and gave us excellent service, showing us all amenities available at our disposal. Inside the sauna room, a shower is also an extra special experience, with high-pressure water and top Le Labo soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Pro tip: absolutely take water with you to drink or perhaps even a smoothie or other iced beverage to cool you off from the heat. Do not wear denim or something very tight as getting dressed after this experience is a work out in and out of itself. Lastly, excellent date idea for a couple! You can thank me later.

My issues with this location is a couple of things. 1. Parking - this is an issue because of the lack of parking in the area, especially during prime hours during the day. If they offer garage validated parking, that was not shared. 2. The set up of this location feels weird. It feels like there was a lack of space and they did what they could with what they had. I tried the Aescape robotic massage there and the room felt like it was an extra space or they sacrificed a space for it as the outfits were kept in what was the original shower. Also, Pause Studio...while they offer a great service. It tends to be more expensive than its competitors in the space and while I appreciate how friendly their stuff is in general, the cost value analysis leads me to the conclusion that this might not be worth the money as other establishments, including Equinox offers the same services at a lower cost.

Why it's worth hard earned cash? Imagine your body as a…read moresymphony orchestra--each instrument representing a system: muscles, nerves, hormones, immune cells. When you're in chronic pain or stress, the orchestra plays out of tune--the violins screech, the percussion races, the flutes can't keep up. Now imagine magnesium as the conductor's tuning fork. It doesn't play an instrument itself. It doesn't hand you new strings or hit the drums. Instead, it emits a calming resonance--subtle, precise--that helps the musicians retune themselves. When you immerse yourself in a float tank, it's like laying the entire orchestra in a perfectly quiet concert hall filled with that tuning resonance. The magnesium ions, the warm water, the silence, the weightlessness--all create a chemical and sensory silence where your body's instruments can hear themselves again and fall back into alignment.

A bit surprised by all the hyper positive reviews…read more If this had been my first float experience I'm not sure I'd ever have gone back. Instead of the egg-shaped pods, Float clinic has little rooms which I thought looked roomy and interesting based on the photos. The good: * I do like how you can step directly from the shower into the float tank. The tanks are fairly roomy, I'm 5'8" and felt I had a decent amount of room. * the bathroom was clean and equipped with hair dryers * the lobby is cute and inviting * friendly staff, good overview of the float process The meh: * my float tank door didn't close all the way, and my room light didn't automatically turn off which was distracting. I eventually got out and flipped the switch * salt wasn't fully dissolved, tank maybe a little oversaturated * I actually prefer the elliptical pods, I found the corners distracting * shower curtain was gross, I wish they just had like a half wall which would be easier to clean * there was caution tape in the shower and the frame around the door of the tank was popping off - just didn't look that nice. * just the one bathroom and the hairdryers are in there so you hold up the toilet if you use them - would be nice if there was a separate space for this * the place I usually go has thoughtful touches like little packages of Vaseline to cover any small scrapes so the salt doesn't burn, hot tea available, other little things - Float Clinic didn't have those, was pretty bare bones. Final verdict: for me, this was just ok. I've had a much nicer float experience at my usual spot and now I'm spoiled. Glad I got a float in while I was in town but wouldn't return.

Well in middle-age, floating has been a necessary and therapeutic service that allows me to continue to stay active, reduce stress, and recover. Upon my last visit, I was informed of the new contrast service. I have never cold plunged before. I regularly utilize the cryo tank at least 4 times a year, so I thought why not? I was a little nervous, but the contrast room has the perfect aesthetic, and the combination of the dry sauna and cold plunge was AMAZING! The cold plunge is not for the faint at heart, but after researching the many benefits, well worth it! After my session, I immediately felt the differences. My body is still reaping the benefits well in 48 hours. I floated first, then did the contrast. For me, my dream recovery and refocus services for mind, body, and spirit! Great job, Float State! My only small disappointment, I miss the old staff and their genuine rapport and personalities. When I came in, they new my name and I felt like family. Now, I just feel like a number. No one is rude or unpleasant, their body language and conversation is just low effort. There are a couple of individuals I know by name, but the enthusiasm isn't the same. Like I said, this is relatively small and by no means takes away from the experience.
