Good location. Layout is discombobulated and tiny. Staff is phenomenal. Results of service was lacking.

Definitely love the hours and convenience. Since its walk in only though, once I came in and had to wait over an hr, the next time I was the only one and went in within a few minutes. The busier they are, the crazier it gets of course, but I haven't felt like I've been rushed out at any point. Came here on a Sat morning, and after work round 6:30, and both times the gate was up and I got free parking. Yeahh! I love free! The reception area is pretty small but they have the usual stuff. Sign in, pay copay, and wait. The 2 receptionists I've seen are both pretty nice and helpful. When you get inside the place is nice and sparkly clean. Pretty small place. Didn't have to wait very long for the doctor after being led to my room either. The nurses have been nice and do their job well. Both times I've seen Dr. Kuo and he is great. He patiently answers all my questions and explains to me different options I have. He let me know what option he suggests and lets me decide what I felt comfortable with and we would take it from there. He's not the kind of doctor that will chit chat a lot, but he'll make sure to spend time to make sure you feel okay and that you have everything taken care of. The one thing I really like is that Dr. Kuo actually calls his patients himself. This way he can answer any questions you have and you're not getting a call from someone you might not have met before. So while urgent care can't take of everything for you, they still have very convenient hours which helps a lot for people who work regular hours. Still things only my pcp can do for me, but doctors are so hard to get a hold of in LA!

Ok on the negative....the nurse very sweet guy who was asking me questions about my condition kept forgetting what I told him and had to RE-write his statement serveral times, re-asking me new questions that showed to me that he was completely off the story line...Pretty irritating. I think I was with him longer than with the dr. Also...what kind of Urgent care facility would not have supplies for a simple wound care? The nurse had offered to clean my wound and the exact words were "clean real well"...well - he used less then an once of some cleaning solution to clean it up and then didn't even have the wrap to wrap it up. I had to use my own gaze wrap to cover up the area. Can't say anything about Dr. he was in-and-out...I guess I will know if his diagnosis is correct pretty soon. Overall...naaaa..I was hoping to get a little bit more professionalism from a place that uses words UCLA in their name and specially since its near my office...but my search will continue for better..

I had a very frustrating experience at Exer Urgent Care. When I arrived, the front desk employee,…read moreYuridia, told me they accepted my insurance. Based on that information, I checked in and waited to be seen. I had taken time off work and came in because I was experiencing chest pain. After waiting and finally being brought back for vitals, Yuridia came in and said she had made a mistake and that they actually do not accept my insurance. At that point I was told it would be $215 just to be seen. I had already waited and taken time off work, and since I was concerned about my symptoms, I reluctantly agreed to pay the $215. The doctor came in, checked my heart rate and vitals, and was in the room for maybe two minutes before leaving. Shortly after, a nurse came in and told me they wanted to run tests but that it would cost another $100 to $200. At that point I was honestly furious. What exactly did the $215 cover if no real evaluation was done and I was immediately being asked to pay more for basic testing? The entire experience felt disorganized and misleading, especially considering the insurance mistake happened after I had already waited to be seen. Also, imagine if I was actually having a heart attack. I came in with chest pain and instead experienced confusion, delays, and unexpected charges. Front desk mistakes like this are not small errors. They directly affect patient care and trust. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling like patients are treated more like transactions than people who genuinely need medical attention.

She asked if I was here for a TB skin test, and I replied, "No, I'm here for a quantiferon." She responds that I am scheduled for a TB skin test and that the quantiferon has to be done by the NP. I tell her there was no differentiation when scheduling myself for the appointment. She begins to condescendingly explain to me that the quantiferon is a blood draw and that it is different than the skin test in several ways. I am well aware of the difference as I am an RN. My issue comes from her negative manner and terrible customer service. I recently visited a CVS minute clinic at a different location the same way and was given zero issues and zero attitude. I was unable to complete the blood draw due to issues pulling up my insurance, and the providers were extremely understanding and kind. This middle aged blonde Karen at this location unnecessarily gave me a difficult time and a huge attitude. I tried to come to this location because it was slightly closer to where I live, but I decided to drive back to the minuteclinic I originally visited. The sheer difference in the providers' attitudes is astonishing. The other clinic was friendly and accommodating vs patronizing and condescending. Never will I ever return to this clinic due to the chance of being under the care of this rude Karen.
