TRIED MY FIRST COLD PLUNGE AND SURPRISINGLY ... LOVE IT!! my husband has been raving for years about his love for cold plunges. I was definitely the type that thought it was for extreme sports people. After our tour with Christian and Ken, I was super motivated to try out a cold plunge for the first time. Especially for the health benefits. I thought I would have to go home and come back for swimwear, but to my surprise, they offer clean swimsuits to borrow. Sweet! My husband and I tried the Red Light Therapy first and followed it up with a cold plunge. I'm so grateful that Christian and Ken shared with us breathing techniques to have a successful experience. I left feeling like a million bucks! Whether you are a beginner like me, or a pro like my husband, I highly recommend this place. The health benefits are incredible and a great way to kick off your 2024.

This place is amazing and there's nothing really like it. I first started getting into "cold plunges" during backcountry treks in the Eastern Sierras when I'd dip into alpine lakes. I didn't realize I was doing a "cold plunge" but I noticed I would be less sore after 25-30 mile weekend trips. When I started hearing about ice baths in podcasts and saw that RVIVL opened in my neighborhood in Playa Vista it seemed like a fun thing to try. I can definitely notice a difference between workouts. I feel less sore and fatigued. I also sleep better, which is incredible because this is something I struggle with. The guys at RVIVL introduced me to Contrast Therapy, which seems like a powerful combination. Sometimes I go in saunas or do hot yoga, but it's interesting to go back and forth between the cold and heat. It's also a really fun thing to do with a friend, which is allowed when you book Contrast Therapy. I've introduced a few serious amateur athletes, such as a friend who does Ironmans and another that competes in amateur boxing. It's cool to hear them say it makes a difference in their training. I've also brought a girl friend for a fun time experimenting with the Red Light Therapy and Compression boots. Honestly I have such a great time every time I visit. I'm thrilled this is conveniently located in my neighborhood, but it would definitely be worth a drive if it wasn't!

Super happy with my experience here for IV NAD therapy. I went for a antidepressant withdrawl purposes and I'm looking forward to continuing that journey. ( the medical team here is top notch! Thank you)

My husband loved it. The massages are a little rough, so I asked for them to be a little softer. But, I'm kinda a baby with massages, like I don't book deep tissue type of massages. The masseuse went on top of my back on all fours lol. I started laughing when she did that, she started to giggle too. I told my husband she was so petite I didn't mind it. The spa areas were very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I didn't bring a bathing suit, so I couldn't use the co-ed area which looked so peaceful and relaxing. The spa offered shorts for men, so my husband utilized the co-ed hot tubs. He said he was the only person in the co-ed area and men's side. In the women's area, where they had the hit tubs, women are nude. So, it's a little stressful at first because I never been to a spa where people are nude. But, I eventually got comfortable and enjoyed the hot tubs. The women's are that had the clay room, salt room, and sauna required robes. That area was so relaxing. The clay area was my favorite.

She was super kind and gentle, but also did a great job at scrubbing. All the dead skin off my body. She cleaned my face and washed my hair. Then she squeezed out all the water from my long hair . Once you enter the spa, you must take off your shoes. There is a small locker just for your shoes. And there's a locker for your clothes, bigger locker. No shoes allow, you can wear socks. It's pretty comfortable and well maintained, slightly better than the ones i've been to in koreatown. Once you go to the coed / main area, you must put on your t shirt and shorts. I was hungry, so I went to the restaurant. You must bring your credit card or use your electronic wallet on your phone. You don't use the wristband to pay. Resturant had a lot of options I chose the ramen, because it looked simple and I was surprised it came with side dishes.Thank you. Turned out to be one of our favorite things we've done! I don't have any photos, because it seemed weird to have my phone with me, but the ones online are pretty accurate. The valet and check in process were very smooth and easy. We got into our lockers and put on our very spiffy shorts/t-shirt/slippers combo and checked out the Jijimbang floor where the clay, jade, salt, and cold saunas were. We LOVED the clay sauna best - very relaxing to lay in a bunch of clay balls at a very pleasant heat. It also made for a little comedy trying to crawl our way out. We are 2 middle aged ladies... the comedy was bound to happen. The jade sauna was also great, and little hotter, which we also appreciated. They also have this domed sauna that I swear feels like a portal to hell. It's well over 215 degrees, and made me nervous to stand in. We were there for a minute or two and decided we weren't THAT hard core yet. We realized it was almost time for our treatments, so we showered and got into the hot tub as requested, and then sat and waited for the women to come get us for our treatments. We got the super fancy deluxe package that came with a scrub, oil treatment, hair wash/deep condition, mini facial, massage, and finishing oil. My services were performed by Rose, who, quite frankly, worked miracles in that semi-private room. I gallumped in, a scaly, dehydrated, sad little gila monster and after about 2 hours, emerged from the primordial goo a sleek, and slithery little skink... Rose probably scrubbed a toddler's worth of dead skin off me (yikes! Not the nips!), dousing me frequently with fragrant water that conjured up scenes from "The Ten Commandments." She went kind of light on my vampire feet, which I was fine with. Rose didn't need to be a hero. Flipping on the table was quite the feat, as it's very slippery, but Rose was there to prevent me from torpedoing right off the end. Next came the hair wash, which smelled amazing, and a deep conditioner that was wrapped in a towel to work its magic. We were instructed to shower and hit the dry sauna for 5 minutes, and were summoned back for round 2. Next, we were back on the table, on top of a Mylar blanket. Oil was poured on, and we were wrapped like baked potatoes to marinate while a refreshing mask was applied to our faces. After 10 minutes or so, the mask was removed, and the massage was up. Now, I hate massages, but this was about as pleasant as it could've been. Rose pretended to not be horrified by the way my back sounded like a güiro when she rubbed it, and I pretended not to want to roll off the table out of being extremely ticklish. We got through it, and I was rewarded with another face mask, hair rinsed out, and another oil applied with gold flakes. It smelled, coincidentally, like roses. After our saga, oiled up, and not a flake to be found for miles, we ate at the restaurant, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We checked out the salt sauna (kinda scratchy and hot to sit in), and the clay sauna again (I actually dozed off, which I don't recommend), and the cold sauna, which reminded me of the ol' walk-in at the VIP Pizza I used to work at. At this point, we were a little "hotted out," but vowed to return, and to take advantage of the ability to nap at all kinds of spots around the multiple floors. I will definitely get scrubbed again, and probably another facial and oil wrap. They were GLORIOUS. All in all, the $40 day price is absolutely worth it, if you don't want/need services. The fee is waived if you get a certain level of service, which makes it even MORE worth it for a nice day of saunas, spas, and generally lazing about. That said - if you are in any way precious, priggish, or prudish, this may not be for you. It's a very naked place, and all the services are conducted in a semi-private place. You can hear people's conversations, see (kind of) what's going on with others, and you're slithering around on a table in some pretty interesting ways. Overall, this was GLORIOUS. I absolutley can't wait to go back, and neither can my friend. We are already looking for dates! Worth every penny.

This is a space where women should feel safe and comfortable, including being undressed without concern. However, during our visit, there was a fully naked man walking around freely in this area. This situation was incredibly uncomfortable and made us feel unsafe/uncomfortable. We immediately reported it to the staff, but instead of addressing the issue or even showing understanding, they told us that California law supposedly allows anyone to access any space if they identify that way. They refused to take any action and rather dismissively told us to complain to whoever you want in CA's office. Regardless of legal nuances, a business like this should ensure the comfort and safety of its guests, especially in such sensitive, gender-segregated areas. In this case, that responsibility was completely ignored. We left feeling very upset and uncomfortable. We will not be returning and cannot recommend this place to anyone who values personal boundaries and a basic sense of safety. When one of the staff told me that he can be in women's area since he identifies himself as a women, I asked does this mean that I can go to men's area if I identify myself as a men. He told me "no, since you checked in as a women already" so by only a check mark next time I can go to men's section and men by that only check mark can come to women's area. And let me mention he didn't look like transgender. He has all the man's looks, genitalia

From the moment my treatment began, the body scrub attendant's demeanor felt cold and unwelcoming. Her tone of voice came across as harsh, and when she spoke to me, it was loud enough that other guests looked over. I wasn't asked whether the water temperature was comfortable, and the pressure felt unnecessarily aggressive rather than relaxing. I left feeling more sore than refreshed, which isn't what I expect from a spa treatment. This was also the second month in a row that I was assigned to the same body scrub attendant, even though I've never had her before and had always been treated by someone else in the usual wet room. It struck me as unusual, especially since I had previously noticed her speaking very harshly to other staff members. I'm sharing this feedback in the hope that it's taken constructively. I truly enjoy this spa overall, but I hope more attention is given to making every guest feel comfortable, respected, and cared for during their treatment.

My friend and I booked the Goddess package, which is the most complete. You arrive early to soak in the hot tubs (which were not as hot as my last review indicated), and then are taken back to the wet massage area. After a very thorough scrub and wash, you are massaged, and you also have your hair washed, and they do an anti-aging face mask. It was about $220, which is a little more expensive than I remember, but that's about an hour and forty-five minutes of service. I did feel like if I went back, I'd probably try one of the shorter services. You don't have to have cash for a tip, because they put the tip on your bill, and you can pay with your credit card. As I write this review, I'm sitting in my car in the 90-degree heat because the front desk told me I couldn't come in 30 minutes before my spa appointment and would need to wait outside until exactly noon. It's honestly hard to believe that this is how a loyal customer is treated at a place that's supposed to be about relaxation and wellness. The rigid and inconsistent check-in policies have completely taken the relaxation out of what is supposed to be a spa day. On one visit, I arrived about an hour late for my spa day and was told I had missed the check-in window. Not only did I lose my original reservation, but I had to pay another deposit to book again. I still don't understand the logic. A spa day doesn't involve a technician waiting for you--it's simply access to the facility--so the extreme rigidity over timing makes very little sense. Another time, I arrived an hour early and was told I was too early and needed to come back only 30 minutes before my appointment. So this time, I followed their instructions exactly. I arrived 30 minutes before my 12:00 p.m. appointment, only to be told I wasn't allowed inside because check-in wasn't until noon. When I asked if they really expected me to sit in my hot car and wait, the answer was yes. So here I am, sitting in my car in the heat, writing this review while I wait for the clock to strike noon. What disappoints me most isn't just the policy--it's the complete lack of empathy or customer service. Every interaction feels rigid and transactional, with no willingness to use common sense or make a loyal customer feel welcome. After being told previously that I had to arrive 30 minutes early, I did exactly that, only to be turned away. The inconsistency is incredibly frustrating. I do want to recognize Angela at the front desk, who has always been kind, welcoming, and professional. Every interaction I've had with her has been wonderful, and she's the exception. Unfortunately, I'll probably continue coming because I genuinely love the spa itself. If there were another Korean spa that offered the same experience, I would seriously consider switching. The facilities are excellent, but the front desk experience consistently leaves me feeling like the staff simply doesn't care about the customer experience. After more than 15 years of loyalty, I expected to be treated like a valued guest, not an inconvenience. A spa should leave you feeling relaxed--not frustrated before you even walk through the door.
