I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment (they recommend 10). They were supposed to be open 2 hours before my appointment. They were closed. After 20 minutes of standing outside, a guy showed up with a garbage bag over his bag like he was some weird Santa. He asked if I was waiting for him, which I nodded yes to. 20 minutes later I was still waiting outside. One of the neighboring proprietors opened the door and started chatting with the guy about how someone was too drunk to show up for work. I finally asked if they were open, to which the guy acted like I did something wrong because how would he know I was wanting to come in (um, appointment and I told him?) Anyway, the appointment was a disaster. I had a Cryo appointment first which I was given no guidance for and could have been dangerous. My sauna appointment was a joke. He hadn't turned it on so it was warming up the entire time I was I there. I didn't even sweat. The worst part was there was no apology. Halfway through my sauna session someone rolled in bitching about the drunk/ hungover employee and laughing (I guess this is a regular occurrence). read more

I had my first treatment of cryo here, 3-6 mins, super cold but you leave there feeling alive and less achy. I went in for pulled muscles, feeling better already. I just made a reservation via Classpass for 5:50 not knowing they closed at 6. Was stuck in traffic merging onto the 10 from the 405 because on the one day it rains in LA, of course there was an accident causing a huge traffic jam. I called but no one picked up. Decided I'd go in past 6 anyway just to see if they were open. They had technically closed already but several clients were finishing up. Inside the Black Impact, your head sticks out, so you feel more aware of your surroundings. The CryoZone I recommend later after trying Black Impact first. I went here after a doctor friend of mine recommended it for muscle recovery, so I went with my fiancé and gave it a try. First thing: The cold. I despise being cold, and my biggest concern was the discomfort. This is not racing like an ice bath, you are not wet, nor is it windy. It's intense, but not to the extent that you would dread the experience if you're horrified by weather under 60 F like my pathetic self. Totally doable and worth it. Afterwards, I felt a little rush of energy, but it was not until 24 hours later myself and my fiancé noticed feeling REALLY good: more energy, more positive, super productive days. The great part- my running pain was gone as though I had taken 2 weeks off (I had only taken 2 days off) and I was back at it, and ran a 10k at the park the next day. read more

I found this place off ClassPass (woohoo for them offering Cryrotherapy off the platform!). I signed up for a session, which was the Black Impact. The employee explained to me the instructions when showing me my room. It was definitely an experience, where I froze for 3 minutes. However, having someone talk to me for the duration was beneficial. The next day, I tried the Facial Freeze. Again, the staff was really polite and informative. He helped me through the whole freeze session, and I felt better about my skin. I'll be coming here occasionally through ClassPass before I make a decision on how effective it is, but it sure is an experience! read more

I stumbled into Cryozone on a whim. Chronic leg pain had been vexing me for months. Sciatica, pinched nerve, arthritis and various injuries were depleting my quality of life and I had limited range of motion. Been coming to this place about 5-6 years. Absolutely love it. I'm really active and use it to recover; it works wonders. Cryozone is my new addiction. The team stays with you throughout the Freeze, everyone is really easy to chat with. Location is clean, has great clothes (randomly) and I signed up for the month straight away. Im recovering from shoulder surgery and now trying to lose weight, I think Cryo has helped me recover post-runs and my shoulder definitely feels less swollen. Update: as of Oct 2019 I cancelled because their machines are often down. Its frustrating when I consistently arrive and am told I can only go in the Black machine (which i dislike) even though i paid for the Silver.
