I sent multiple emails asking for basic information about the vitamin content of the infusions--not proprietary formulas, just what was being put into my body--and never received a response. The nurses also seemed unable to answer even basic questions about the products being administered. My biggest concern is what happened to my mother. During an IV treatment, The IV appeared to have been placed in an inappropriate location hitting her NERVE rather than a normal vein site she repeatedly complained of severe pain, yet her concerns were not taken seriously. Instead of immediately stopping and reassessing the IV placement, the procedure continued. She returned home unable to properly move her arm and remained in pain for over a week.

Bonus: sometimes they'll hook you up with compression boots during your session, which takes the edge off your legs and makes it even easier to sneak in a nap. The staff here deserves all the praise. The medical assistants (nurses?) are not only professional but genuinely warm and friendly. And if they're faking it, well... they're very convincing. I am so grateful to have found this place, and have now had five sessions at Gateway Clinics. As someone who is very sensitive to all pharmaceuticals, and neither tolerates nor desires any traditional medications, I am thankful to have discovered ketamine on the advice of a functional (aka holistic) psychiatrist a few years back. I have since learned that Ketamine is a tremendously safe, versatile, and wonderful drug that has been used since the early 1960s, and may be administered at different dosages, in any one of three ways: as an anesthetic (for sedation, like during surgery), as an analgesic (to achieve relief of chronic pain), and as a psychedelic (requiring much lower doses, for mental health support). In my case, ketamine has been instrumental in helping me with all of the following areas of concern: depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, trauma, addiction, suicidal ideation, fatigue, sleep, cognitive performance, mental clarity, and even everyday functionality on a seemingly ordinary human level that so many of us take for granted (until compromise thereof occurs). The entire organization feels very much like a family, and without doubt they are mission-driven to heal the world, one bodymind at a time. If the doc does a referral, it is your responsibility to confirm if they will be in network. It is up to the patient to submit to their insurance for any sort of reimbursement. They were more than willing to aid me with the documentation that I needed to start that process. Labs, consult/followups, meds...all of it is OUT OF POCKET. I based my decision to see Dr Rand because of my research. His affect is very professional and down to earth. He will base his opinions and treatment/care off of your history/labs and will support your decisions if feasible. I did not once feel as if he is "in it for the money."
