Float chamber entry
Tina T.

This place is amazing. Let's start with Christian, he gave me all the necessary instructions and more information on the benefits of floating. It was obvious he was a pro and confirmed when telling me he has been floating for over 5 years. I went in on an early appointment so I was able to pick my room (they have 3). They are all clean and equipped with everything you need for your floating session. I'm a little afraid of the dark, but they gave me a little ball that lights up and changes colors to bring into my chamber. Everything about this experience was comforting, especially for a first timer! Would definitely recommend.

Long overdue review ... I learned about the float clinic from a gift certificate that was given to me last Winter. At first I wasn't really sold on going even after hearing my friends enthusiastic experience, but it was a gift and I knew eventually it would disappoint him if I didn't go. I'm so glad I did! The body loves soaking up that magnesium, mind gets elevated , skin and hair is softer looks fuller, plus the most solid deepest sleep! Since then I continue to go, and every trip to the float clinic is a different experience. The people working here are all gracious and knowledgeable especially Christian, every friend I bring with me gets a strong understanding on everything float. Side note: Christian is a gift from the gods. The float clinic is a very clean ,well kept facility and they offer affordable float packages, also they sell some high quality products. Each time I float I'm already thinking I can't wait to float again!

Sun room! (Writing on the door is from me, not the establishment lol)

I have recently started on a float journey. This is the best place I have been! It was clean, private and has good vibes. I love that the tanks are quite large so your elbows don't really bump against the walls. They also provide a pillow that makes the float experience soooo much more comfortable. I have a lot of hair and the last time I floated my neck was kind of sore after from my head being weighed down-- the pillow makes a huge difference! Also, Christian was so nice and helpful. If you're curious about floating, go check them out!

This was my first time floating. It was amazing. It's funny because I was nervous to try it. I have severe anxiety and mild claustrophobia, but as soon as we walked in ( I did a session with my best friend) Christy was there with a huge smile on her face and a unique and bubbly personality that just took my gitters away. They offer a 90 minute session for $45 dollars andiI believe do a vet discount, which is cool. The building itself was immaculate, clean, soothing and pristine. The decor is washed in soft blues, teals and whites. All very relaxing and very inviting. after all the paper work was done and we talked about any ailments we might have, Christy showed us to our rooms, which again were very clean and welcoming. she explained the whole process and let us get on our way. I watched a ton of videos for at least the last month trying to get my mind right for it and it is like watching a training video on sky diving, no matter how many you watch nothing is like the actual experience. My best friend and I have two very completely experiences, i did end up falling asleep at some point, well at least i think i did lol another yelper, Mary Z, reviewed it last year on here and I think ended her review perfectly, so I will borrow it: "Everyone's experience will be different, but if I can give any advice (because you bet I will recommend it) I would say, don't go there with any expectations. We know, expectations lead to disappointment so--just go and let it be what it is. Complete Mind and Body relaxation. I hope it transforms your life, or day or week, or month, as it has done to me. Amazing experience overall."

Exterior. Very welcoming & clean.

So, this was my first time trying this type of meditation: Sensory Deprivation. -Long story short: I recommend it. ~_~ -Short story long: An appointment online or via telephone is necessary as they only have three sensory deprivation tanks and 10am, 12:30pm, 3pm, 5:30pm, 8pm, 10pm appointments, so this is definitely not a walk-in clinic. They offer a 90 minute session for $45 dollars and have a Veteran's discount too! How neat and considerate is that? -What to take? Just you, yourself, and you. They provide all the necessary items for a pleasant relaxing time. (Towels, earplugs, shampoo, lotion, cotton swabs, etc). -What's the setting like? Very spa-like, with bright, clean colors all around. Easy to the eyes. Once welcomed in, you get to choose one of the three rooms. They're pretty much all similar, just different colors. I very much enjoyed the ample showers! The stone shower floor felt amazing too (Wish I had a shower and not a tub sometimes). -What's the process? Well, the attendant there will give you a run through but if you want to hear it from me: You shower to remove all oils, get into the tank then, 90 min later you come out and should shower again, get dressed and done. The tank part; well the amount of epsom salt in the tanks is sure to have your body increase buoyancy so you'll have no problem floating. Shut the door, lay out and make sure you don't get any water in your eyes---that will burn. Trust me, I would know. Ha! Then, let go. In complete darkness, all your senses will be deprived. Just you and your thoughts. If you think you'll fall asleep at any point its ok--beautiful sounding music will slowly emerge to remind you when your time is up. Loved the music! It made me feel alive. Everyone's experience will be different, but if I can give any advice (because you bet I will recommend it) I would say, don't go there with any expectations. We know, expectations lead to disappointment so--just go and let it be what it is. Complete Mind and Body relaxation. I hope it transforms your life, or day or week, or month, as it has done to me. Amazing experience overall. And if I can name three adjectives to describe this experience they would be: 1. Invigorating 2. Motivating 3. Emotional In that order, enjoy!!!

Floatation Room #2 as of May 2, 2015
Jaicenia M.

Experienced my 1st floatation this Saturday, May 2nd, for my birthday and it was nice. I agree with other comments; Establishment is very clean. The receptionist was very polite and gave us full instructions on what to do from beginning to end for first time "floaters". She also gave recommendations from others on certain things to do while floating ie; positioning of the hands/arms. Was given a tour of the location including all 3 of the private rooms. Room #2 is best due to interior ( That's the room I selected ) I must say this. I am African American and I know how my women can get when it comes to their hair. Lol !! Wearing a swimmers cap is NOT going to prevent your hair from getting wet, wearing a weave or not. If you do not mind getting your hair wet then go for it but if you're totally against it and don't feel like dealing with the hassle of your hair, this is NOT for you. I had to put that out there. Other than that, the actual experience was nice. Make sure to wash your body and hair off thoroughly when you're done. Your skin will be ashy as all hell and your hair will feel dry from the Epsom salt if you don't !

Hello I'm trying to make an appointment via online but for some reason it's not giving me an option to book it for 2 people. Is one session just for one person?

Yes, one float per person. You can book another float for another person but they are separate floats in separate rooms.

1 Star - Discriminatory, Unprofessional, and Traumatizing Experience…read more I went in hoping to relieve stress and get a relaxing massage, but instead I was treated with disrespect and discrimination. As soon as I walked in, the woman at the front desk immediately asked, "You have money?" in a rude and dismissive tone. I confirmed that I did, yet she rolled her eyes and looked at me strangely. As a Hispanic woman, the interaction felt judgmental and discriminatory from the start. I paid with my debit card and was charged a processing fee. She led me to the massage room and told me to undress, but left the door open, completely invading my privacy. The room was the first one near the lobby, meaning anyone walking in could see inside. I felt exposed and unsafe. During the massage, she was extremely rough. I told her multiple times that I was in pain, and although she would briefly stop, she would then continue doing the same painful motions. It honestly felt intentional. On top of that, she repeatedly left the room, and those interruptions still counted toward my paid time. Because the experience was uncomfortable and traumatic, I chose not to tip. She then followed me to the door, repeatedly saying "tip, tip," in a passive-aggressive manner. I reluctantly offered $5, but she used Google Translate to demand $10 instead. When I said no, she tried to charge me another processing fee and even got in my face and attempted to look at my bank account on my phone. That crossed a serious boundary. The entire experience felt sketchy, unprofessional, and unsafe. I would not recommend this place, especially to women. The environment did not feel welcoming, respectful, or legitimate.

I'd been dealing with this massive stress ball lump in my neck for almost a year and nothing was working. I tried foam rolling and stretching constantly at home but it just wouldn't budge. When I went in, Dr. Kim really took the time to talk through my pain and actually listen to what was going on. He does these specific stretches during the adjustment that made a huge difference, and he definitely went above and beyond what I expected for a first appointment. My partner even noticed that the lump was finally gone after my visit and told me my walking and posture look way better. I'm complaining about pain so much less now and just feel more aligned. Even a few weeks later, my back and neck are still feeling great. I'm definitely looking forward to adding these visits to my regimen whenever I'm in pain again and need an adjustment.

A Truly Exceptional Deep Tissue Experience at Busaba Thai Massage…read more If you're looking for a massage that actually fixes the problem instead of just feeling good for an hour, Busaba Thai Massage in Torrance is on another level. From the moment I walked in, the space felt clean, calm, and professional. But what really sets them apart is the skill level. This is not your typical "relaxation" massage. Their deep tissue work is precise, intentional, and incredibly effective. I came in with serious tightness in my upper back, stubborn knots around my shoulder blades, and lingering sciatic pain that had been flaring up. Within minutes, it was clear I was in expert hands. The therapist worked with a level of anatomical understanding that honestly felt surgical. They weren't randomly applying pressure -- they were methodically tracing muscle lines, identifying adhesions, and releasing tension point by point. The way they addressed my sciatica was especially impressive. Instead of just focusing on the lower back, they worked through the glutes, hips, and surrounding muscle groups that contribute to nerve compression. You can tell they truly understand how the body connects and compensates. The pressure was strong (as requested), but controlled and purposeful. Every knot was addressed. Every tight band of muscle was worked through with patience and precision. It was intense at times -- in that "this is exactly what my body needed" kind of way -- and the relief afterward was immediate. By the end of the session: My range of motion noticeably improved The chronic tightness in my shoulders was dramatically reduced My sciatic discomfort felt lighter and less reactive I walked out feeling aligned, mobile, and reset This isn't just a massage -- it's corrective bodywork done by professionals who clearly know anatomy and take pride in their craft. If you sit at a desk all day, lift heavy, train hard, deal with chronic tightness, or struggle with sciatica, do yourself a favor and book here. Busaba Thai Massage delivers real results.
