I've had hundreds of massages over the last couple of decades from some of the most highly sought after therapists. Johnny is in my top 3 of all times. He knows the body well and has worked beautifully to relieve my moderately frozen shoulder (better than even my favorite acupressure masseuse...which is saying something!). I also look for those who can work the tough spots while maintaining a smooth 'flow' to the work. If you're like me, you like deep tissue pressure, but don't want to feel like you've been put through the grinder. No need to look further. Book with Johnny. He's top notch. ;-) read more

Johnny is fantastic! I originally started going to him for sports massages, but over time it's evolved into whatever my body needs that day. I work out a lot, so whether I have a sore muscle, something feeling off, or a minor injury acting up, I go to Johnny--and I genuinely don't know what kind of magic he does, but he fixes it every time. I'm also someone who loves a massage that 'hurts so good,' and Johnny is great about listening and adjusting the pressure to exactly what I want and need. He really knows his stuff, pays attention to what's going on with your body, and tailors every session accordingly. I can't recommend him enough. I'll be going to Johnny for a long time! read more

Johnny is so good at what he does! I always walk out feeling like a completely different person. I surf a lot and my shoulders take a beating from paddling, so I'm constantly dealing with tightness. I've tried a lot of massage spots around the area and this is the one I keep coming back to. The space is calm and clean, booking is easy, and the prices are genuinely reasonable for the quality you're getting. If youre on the fence just book it. read more

found Beachside Therapeutic Services through ClassPass and booked a deep tissue massage. It was the first deep tissue massage that I feel was actually deep tissue and truly helped my muscle tightness. I started coming back outside of class pass and will continue to be a customer, highly recommend! read more

Johnny, the owner, is such a kind soul and an incredible massage therapist. The space is so well done and very relaxing from the second you walk in the door. I had the 90 minute deep tissue massage with Johnny. He is super thorough and ensures that you feel comfortable and receive the recovery work you need from the second the massage begins til the end. His massage skills and techniques are to notch. I am an avid weight lifter, so I put his skills to the test with the knots and trigger points in my muscles because it had been quite some time since my last massage. I wish I had booked a 3 hour session! He does offer massage packages and I highly recommend investing in yourself and your body and purchasing. His space is also just two blocks away from the beach if you want to continue the relaxing vibe with a walk on the beach afterwards. Highly recommend! read more

Beachside Therapeutic Services is the best in SoCal! Without sports massages from Johnny, my body would be in rough shape. I go into BTS so sore, tight, in pain, and end up leaving a completely new person. Their office is clean, relaxing, welcoming, a place to escape - an appointment I look forward to every time I book. I hope everyone goes to BTS, you and your body will be grateful you did. Thank you for everything, Johnny and team! read more

I've been doing cupping for years, and I can honestly say no one compares to Johnny. He has amazing hands and truly knows what he's doing. He's always so kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. I had an incredible 90-minute prenatal massage with Jarzha and couldn't be happier! She was so intuitive, attentive, and made me feel completely relaxed and supported throughout. I went once in my second trimester and again yesterday in my third. She really understood how to work with my pregnant body and focused on all the right areas. One of the best massages I've ever had--highly recommend her to any expecting mamas out there! Johnny's also extremely responsive via email and accommodating with scheduling. read more

Beachside Therapeutic Services - the room i had - relaxing, spacious, a vibe - Massage Therapy Near Me - Redondo Beach, California

I have been coming to Beachside Therapeutic since Feb 2023. I see John the owner for massage and cupping, mostly work for my shoulder, neck tension and headaches. He is very caring and the massages are terrific; he can customize each massage to fit your needs that day. I buy packages of 10 and have probably visited at least 50 times. I use the infrared sauna and cold plunge for therapy before my session. It is a very professional practice and I feel valued as a client. My husband goes to Yuri for therapy for knee and hamstring. She is also great. Located in Riviera Village, and I have not had an issue finding meter parking. Highly recommend! read more

The best experience! I woke up with extreme muscle tension in my upper back and it was causing extreme pain. Johnny was able to fit me in despite it being 2 days before Christmas and booked. I cannot recommend Johnny enough! As an occupational therapist, I have a strong understanding of anatomy and therapeutic treatment, and I can confidently say Johnny has an incredible knowledge of the body and how to truly help his clients. He gives amazing firm pressure but always checks in to make sure it's tolerable and adjusts depending on your needs. Every session feels intentional! He works on problem areas thoughtfully, not just for relaxation but therapeutically as well. Having grown up in the South Bay, I've spent over 10 years searching for a massage therapist I could fully trust, and I finally found that in Johnny. I trust him completely with my body. I've been seeing him since around 4 months into my pregnancy, and now at 8 months, I can honestly say he has been a huge help in managing my hip and back pain. After a recent car accident, I was nervous about receiving treatment while pregnant, but Johnny made me feel so safe and cared for. He respected my comfort levels, focused only on the areas I was comfortable with, and approached every step methodically and knowledgeably. Johnny is not only skilled but also compassionate, and his ability to combine both makes his practice truly exceptional. I don't have enough positive things to say about him--he's hands down the best massage therapist I've ever had. read more

About 4 years ago I suffered a major back injury. Since then I have been cautions letting anyone work on my back. It had gotten to a point where the sciatica was unbearable. I reached out to Beachside Therapeutic Service and here is where I met Johnny! Coming from a former athlete I will say, he is hands down the best! I only trust Johnny with my back and injuries. Every month he remembers what we worked on, asks how it's feeling and I can tell he GENUINELY CARES about his clients health and well being. - Ariel read more

There are never any disruptions and I always leave feeling so refreshed. I also love that massages are customized to fit your needs - I have been getting Brazilian lymphatic massages lately and it has been amazing. I absolutely cannot recommend them enough! My new go-to recovery space! As a fitness instructor, mama, and person-on-the-go, getting a quality recovery experience is essential. Johnny is super kind, is excellent, and communicative. Plus the facility is clean and well organized. I've now been back multiple times for 1.5 hour sports massage and have noticed serious improvement in my overall stamina, and ease of movement. I'm also prone to inflammation and have done their Hot&Cold therapy for an hour. The sauna is very zen, and the cold plunge wakes you up, haha. Got the best night's sleep that evening and looking forward to next time! read more

I have been seeing Yuri for the past year and she is by far the most intuitive massage therapist I have ever seen. As a therapist myself it is challenging to find somebody that truly understands anatomy and the importance of the healing process. She offers different levels of pressure using multiple modalities to cater to your individual needs. She is kind, warm and welcoming.....truly a healer. Very thankful to find her and you will be too. Johnny was amazing and flexible. If you're looking for a firm massage, this is the place.

Dude. Yes. My soul has just crawled back into my body after being wrung out on the floor, and I now feel better about the world and my place in it. This was the best massage ever. I was in pain, it's been a long time since my last massage and I was overdue. I just moved to Redondo and lucky me- there was a cancellation, and I'm easy walking distance from here! The demons have left my hip flexors, and IT bands, and everywhere else and I feel like a million bucks. If you need fixing, Johnny will help you. Everything from the music, the the nature videos, to the heated table, the super clean everything, UV/HEPA filter and masks all around... It was awesome. 10/10 read more

Just moved to Fresno and I'm so sad because Johnny is absolutely amazing and I can't have him anymore I highly, highly recommend him. He is really passionate about his work and really cares about his clients. I've never had a massage therapist who goes so above and beyond. He does a full service with his massage from head/scalp all the way down to the feet. Just go one time and you'll see what I mean!! It's not just a general swiping of hands to do the job; he actually does detailed work to make sure the knots get out from your neck and back from each vertebra to vertebra. He really makes each person feel more than a customer and truly offers a service. I remember when I had really, really bad neck/back pain bc of a BJJ/kickboxing injury and he made sure to give me a really helpful CBD oil base massage that soothed everything. He even went the extra mile to give me some of the oil for when I wasn't with him to relieve the pain at my own home. He'll even build a plan for you for chronic conditions that include cupping and physical therapy and he's pretty reasonable with his price especially with his individually catered experience. Again, I highly, highly recommend. He's really one of a kind. I purposely set aside time to get a massage from him when I visit my family bc no one else compares to his level of expertise, professionalism, and care. read more

Atmosphere was so so. Dark and a bit stale smelling. The massage I had from Jonny was not all that I had expected for the price. It felt phoned in at times. And he lacked the healing hands touch that I so badly needed. He didn't really listen to all my requests and pointed vocalized needs as to where I was hurting and needed the most attention. I was so frustrated that it ruined my massage. And, unfortunately, I felt worse the next day. My body felt even tighter and still hurt! I will never go back. I only wish that I could get a refund. read more
