OK, so this is part 2(ish) from my last massage review from another spot that I just posted. If you'd like to know the "tea" please go and review that review. But on to this highly anticipated review from what I would believe has been the best deep tissue massage I have received from a massage parlor was done by Emma today. I was referred to her by a friend of mine, I have a masseuse that I have come to my home monthly, but she is so amazing and books out so far in advance that sometimes I need a massage on the spot or within a couple days so finding someone local was something I really needed. I called on a Saturday to book and she was not available so I asked if she was available Sunday and I was able to get in with her first appointment availability at 10 AM. Unfortunately, I was mistaken and ended up at a different massage parlor down the road and didn't realize I was at the wrong place until about 10:30. I called her and I told her that I was so sorry about the misunderstanding, but I was up the street and I would be there in a minute and she was so kind and sweet and told me no rush to take my time and to be safe. I really appreciated that as I am a business owner as well and I know that things happen and the accommodation to take me still was much obliged since I was pretty irritated at my experience at the other massage parlor in those 30 minutes that was there waiting not even realizing that I was at the wrong place due to their lack of customer service. Once I arrived at the establishment, I was greeted by her and she was so sweet and kind. I would love to go into detail about how amazing my massages but I really feel like you just need to experience it for yourself. I booked a 90 minute massage, but I literally felt like I was there for two hours! She really took her time with my body. She really focused on every single inch of my body and let me tell you I was so stiff, my muscles were so tight, but she slowly started engaging and even though it was painful at times because of the amount of pressure she was using it was done with care, she really knows what she's doing. My friend did tell me that she has hands of an angel and I can totally attest to that. After the massage was done, it may seem silly, but tears were running down my face because I felt so taking care of. She asked me if I wanted some water or hot tea and I asked for a hot tea, met her at the front and she went over some stretches for me to do since I work out a lot and my job is pretty taxing on my body. For a 90 min massage I paid 140, which I feel was worth every penny. The whole experience was phenomenal and I cannot wait to tell everyone about what an amazing experience I had. Best massage I've ever gotten! I got the 90 min combination massage, $120, I left a $30 tip. Deep tissue, stretching, my masseuse was literally massaging out my knots. The room was small, it felt warm, but once she turned on a little fan, I felt better. I will definitely be coming back. read more

I had an excellent neck/shoulders/back massage with hot stones add on from Sofia!! After a really tough & stressful month I needed a massage and I'm soooo glad I chose to come here. I had some crazy knots and tense shoulders that she really worked through. I have so much more mobility & relief in my entire upper body. Let me start with the one downside - the rooms are a bit on the smaller side. But once the session starts, you won't ever notice it. As folks who go for a weekly massage know, there is a bit of subjectivity to which therapist works best for you. But not a single one has disappointed me so far. Still, my favorite is Bev - her style is heavy pressure, smooth flowing movements, and she takes them to the perfect stretch - many therapists fall just short of that final pull or stretch of the shoulder or neck that makes the difference between perfect and great. Amazing massage, deep pressure was just right. We will definitely be back. There are so many options but here is the place to go.

Service/ not letting me know I was being charged an additional $20. This was a charge/service I didn't verbally approve or ask for. And I wasn't told I was getting a massage for only 45 min on a regular Thai massage for an hour. I did come in 5 minutes late because of lack of parking (parking is on the street). Please work on communication and overall service. Good massage but upset at the end with the miscommunication. *Note: If you're using a credit card, they charge a 3% fee. I requested (2) regular Thai massages for an hour (40 minutes thai massage and 20 minutes foot massage = 1 hour), and I was supposed to only pay $140. But she went ahead and added the 3% fee plus other fees. My total was $160. I was upset, and I won't be returning. I support small businesses, but please, as a business owner, make sure you ask first before charging extra fees. *I did have my nephew (4 years old) and my niece, who's 12 years old. The owner asked me to take them to the park and leave them there while we (2) were getting our massage. I said no, their too young to be left alone. read more

First time visiting for a body scrub - which was done with vanilla coffee in oil in a quiet darkened room. A thorough job, very sensitively handled by the very kind TiTi. So quiet and peaceful and renewed and invigorated. Parking was very easy right out front, with several parking spaces available nearby. Ill be back! read more

We went to Relax Thai Spa several months ago. Not only was this one of the best Thai massages I've had. (I literally walked out feeling like I had a new body). But their customer service is amazing! I recently was trying to book a couples massage for our anniversary and was working with a very tight schedule. Titi went above and beyond to accommodate. Amazing !! The women massage therapist was so good , at first she did apply too much pressure and I told her and she adjusted it to just the right amount . It was the best massage I've had in a long time and I was way overdue !!! My husband had the male masseuse and he enjoyed his as well . Titi is the best! To start, the location has plenty of parking around and it is easy to find. I really appreciated the detailed form she had me fill out before the massage. I knew then that she is true pro who cares about the level of service. During the massage, I liked the large, heated massage table. Relax Thai Spa had some of the best instrumental music playing throughout the massage. I couldn't have been more impressed with the quality of the massage. A lot of hits and misses when getting a massage. This place is definitely a hit providing a very good, solid massage. I went in with tight muscles in the shoulders and back. I regret not coming to this place sooner. I'm an avid athlete so I put my body through a lot on a pretty regular basis. Recently, I've been having a lot of neck/lower back stiffness so I started perusing online for local massage parlors and stumbled upon this gem. The service I purchased was a 60 minute Swedish massage w/ hot stones and a sugar foot scrub and boy, did they deliver. My masseuse was VERY sweet and although her English wasn't very good, I can tell she was trying her best when communicating with me. At the end, she even applied tiger balm ointment to my neck free of charge (to which I was very grateful). If you're ever feeling the need for a little relaxation, I highly recommend this place. *INCOMING RANT* I thoroughly read through some of the negative reviews on here and I don't think people understand that masseuses are NOT mind-readers. It requires a lot of communication between client and masseuse to ensure that you get exactly what you want. Otherwise, you're going to get whatever the standard massage is. Some of you say that you were being "clear", but were you? Really? If something doesn't feel right, it's up to YOU to immediately say something. They aren't you, they can't feel what you're feeling. You shouldn't just lay there, unhappy, and probably shouting obscenities in your head the entire time but then leave and finally feel like speaking up for yourself on yelp. I understand if your masseuse happened to be a turd. In that case, they deserve a negative review. However, everyone person has the ability to turn a bad massage into a good one. This was my second and last time trying this place. I brought my friend here looking to buy us both a massage. I told him to make sure to book a Swedish massage, to which he said he told them multiple times. I absolutely wanted to avoid any Thai massage as I know they can be painful. We lay down, and the lady asks me if there are any areas I'd like her to focus on... I said mostly the back and NO feet. She didn't hear or understand so I restated, "Back good. Feet bad." I wanted to be clear because I have been to places where I tell them no foot massages and they still spend 15 minutes doing it. So, as I'm laying there I hear her jump up onto the table, grab the rails, and start digging into my back with her toes. W T F !? Five minutes in and I was looking for someone to save me, looking for the courage to say STOP! Please! You're hurting me!!! I was imagining myself running out of the room never to return!!! I was tense, stiff, and counting the minutes as the time on the clock nearby ticked by. I am a horrible person to give massages. I know, people scream in pain when I do. So it was a surprise to me that I was experiencing this treatment. I thought maybe I was being punished by the universe and had to look deep within myself to make sense of it... it brought so much negative stuff up in my past I started tearing up. You have to understand that I've had massages from loved ones who have put me to sleep because the massage was so relaxing. This was far from it!!! I couldn't even say she knew what she was doing because every thing she did brought excruciating pain and I have a high pain tolerance. I love the feeling of sore pain following an intense workout. I was jealous of my friend who seemed to be getting more of a rub down then what I apparently got but after he also said it was painful and not in a good way. All I know is I am going to feel this tomorrow and I am not happy about it. I think they'd do better to ask throughout the massage how much pressure and if their client is feeling pain. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. In my book, massages costing $45 plus tip should never leave someone unhappy and less relaxed than when they arrived. My friend told me next time we will pay the extra $$ to go to a spa. read more

You have never had a massage until Titi Simon gives you a massage!!! Let me just say that I have had many massages in my life and this crushes them all! Titi was kind and understanding and well spoken. She was by far the most knowledgeable masseuse I have ever encountered. I got the deep tissue massage with hot stones and I am telling you life changer. I asked her to focus on my shoulders and upper back and she spent at least 80 minutes of the 120 on that area. It was fantastic. She used just the right amount of pressure and it was as though she had been my masseuse for years. She was even able to point out a hip issue that had been causing a lot of pain without me even mentioning it. I can't say enough about Titi and Relax Thai Spa and I am already dreaming about my next massage. read more

Absolutely one of the best massages I have ever had hands-down and I travel all over the world and get massages often my husband and I went here while on vacation and we both had wonderful experiences they did a Thai Swedish combination they definitely know they're craft and then we did a scrub which I thought would be weird because they don't have shower facility but they did an excellent job it was amazing- and the price is very reasonable and worth every penny and more!!! read more

This was my 1st time having a Thai Massage and was really hoping to have Kathy as that who I suggested to have...next time. I was suffering a migraine and was hoping it would help release some of the pain which if did but I also noticed how much the migraine had knocked my flexibility away. I called earlier today and was able to get a same day appointment in the afternoon. Looks like it's just street parking, but it was pretty easy to find parking right in front. Place is clean and staff is nice, but the massage was mediocre at best, and not worth the price in my opinion. The walls of this place is so thin that you can hear everything going on, and unlucky for me the girl next door was a bit chatty with her masseuse/"therapist". I also heard cars driving by. All the noise definitely takes away from the experience, but they do play relaxing music in the background that does help. My therapist seemed like a nice/sweet person, but the massage was kind of weak even when I asked for more pressure, I didn't feel much additional pressure although I could tell she was trying. I was hoping to get more relief in my upper back and neck area, and she did massage that area but it didn't give me the relief I was hoping for. I did enjoy the hot stones, and I did surprisingly enjoy the face/head massage which I almost asked them not to do. It was not a terrible massage but not a great one either, hence the 3 stars... The sugar scrub was kind of a joke, she literally just put on some scrub let it sit then wiped it off, I could have done this at home...don't pay extra for this. Very courteous staff, high quality massages (my body felt superb afterward). They adjust what they do depending on what you need and are very communicative throughout the whole process. I would definitely consider coming back. The only thing I think could be improved is the noise level. The walls are very thin, so even just a normal conversation can seem too loud and difficult to relax. For me this isn't an issue, but I could see how others would be bothered by it. read more

I came across this place last minute , needing a Massage badly ! I liked the fact it was a smaller place, relaxed & cozy. I had Kathy , Mai & Lucky all different times . They are all Amazing ! This is the only place I go from now on ! I try to call ahead to make sure I get one of them . I take all my family here . Everytime my sister is in town , she has to come & get a massage ! I always get the Thai massage, Kathy usually adds hot stones & makes me feel super relaxed ! Im always comfortable here & definitely recommend them ! This was my first time visiting this spa. My husband bought me a Groupon 75min Swedish hot stone combo. He knew that since we lived here over 8 years I have not been able to find a great masseuse. I had a monthly membership at ME for years and had a fav therapist but since moving to the SB could not find one worth sticking with. I cancelled my ME membership after trying for three years and three locations, tried several spas in the area many times. I think I finally found my spa home. I got the Groupon for a couples massage for me and my husband as an anniversary gift, which was really an incredible deal. Like everyone else has said, the facility is minimalist but my eyes are closed when I'm getting rubbed the whole time anyway, so that's fine with me! Not only did we get full body massages but also a nice little foot scrub and then my favorite, the hot stones!! Bless her heart they were so hot I was genuinely concerned about her hands! Purchased a Groupon for the 60 minute couples Thai/Swedish Massage with hot stones and sugar foot scrub. The massage was great. The thing it lacked was intense massage. There was not enough pressure applied throughout the massage for both my husband and myself. The message was about 55 minutes and the foot scrub just a minute or two. I felt a little let down on the foot scrub because I thought it would come with a more comprehensive foot massage as well. If you are a stickler for smell and looking for aromatherapy, you need to ask for it specifically. That was not included in this massage. All in all great service with a friendly staff. We will use the massage service again. I will know what to ask for next time. read more
