Wow I just came from the best massage I've had in the last 15 years, hands down. Having Jean work her magic on my body was the greatest gift imaginable (apart from having my daughter). It's like she knew every part that needed extra TLC, and she gave it 100%, to the point that I felt badly if she was over-exerting herself. I can only imagine the wear and tear that such dedicated massage therapists develop over time, so I really just want to give Jean endless gratitude for healing this seemingly broken body of mine. Usually with massages, it feels like just when I'm about to get relief, the massage therapist moves on the next body part and glosses over it in a hurried way, that before I know it, the 50 minutes is up and I'm aching for more relief. I live with chronic pain, hold an incredible amount of tension in my traps that by the end of the week, I usually can barely turn my neck without wincing in pain. I've paid for memberships at local places not because I'm trying to be bougie, but because I really am just so desperate for relief. After moving to the South Bay a couple years ago, I've done memberships at Massage Revolution and the new Now Massage location. As much as I wanted to love these places, I've cycled through nearly all of their massage therapists in the hopes of finding "the one," an experiences have been really hit or miss. I kept coming back just because, again, I needed my dose of relief. But not anymore. I will be a loyal client of Thai Body Works for the foreseeable future, hopefully returning to Jean as long as she'll have me. Unlike other places where the massage feels too short-lived, with Jean, it felt like she devoted a luxurious eternity to all my sore spots, tending to them in various forms: first with hands and elbows (done in such an intuitive, therapeutic manner), traditional Thai style with stepping, more focused massage, and a treat at the end with hot stones, warm towels, and stretching. Right when I thought she surely spent more than enough time on me, she had me turn and gave me just the same amount of therapeutic attention all over again. She was so attuned to my body, that I seriously couldn't have envisioned a better massage. I really wanted to give her a big hug at the end (and as cheesy as it sounds, I wanted to cry because of how grateful I was to her). It's special people like Jean that I wish I could just give her the same amount of TLC she so generously offered to me.. She really made a huge difference in my sense well-being, and there are simply not enough thanks for her help, kindness, and healing touch. Thank you, thank you, Jean!! read more

Wonderful experience at Thai Body Works. Greeted by Amy led me to the room, went over the different type of massage and stretches available. Once requested the massage I wanted she full filled to the fullest, with her different arrays of long strokes and stretching i went to a state of bliss. Highly recommend. read more

Best massage in LA!!! I cannot recommend this place enough. Ann has magic hands and I am so infuriated awe every time I go.

seriously bad, sorry but the massage was not good . Then they changed masseuse and charged me for 2 times 30mn instead of 1 hours sorry read more

Dude, this place was AWESOME. My massage therapist Mimi (I believe was her name) was super communicative & helpful during my full-body session. She was good at doing the massage hard (most therapists are scared because I'm a small female) & was patient w/ adjusting the pressure throughout different parts of my back. She even did a little more at the end for areas that hurt the most, & gave me tips after on little stretches I can do after I'm done with work (I told her I work on a laptop all day). So sweet and genuine, gonna come again! read more

Great spot to relax and beat the summer heat with the 10am -1pm special they have going on right now. Melonie was fantastic for the tightness in my back that I didn't realize existed beforehand, and on top of that she is a lovely person to talk to. This place is now added into my wellness repertoire thanks to her! read more

At the end of the massage, the woman asked me for a bigger tip. We went back and fourth on it for a second, I then watched her add more money to the tip than I was gonna give and then she said it was an accident. I literally watched her do it on the card device. read more

Sorry but WTH MAN.... This was disappointing... First time customer, called asked for a deep tissue, of course they can do it right... Ethically it's so screwed up to offer the services expect someone to pay for it and then try and pass it off as something it's not. I get massages very often, and I was a massage therapist, so I am very very aware of the difference between Swedish and Deep Tissue. When you ask for a deep tissue you're very much expecting a lot of pressure, well I had to continously ask for more pressure, fine ok that can be dealt with but then she goes on to pretty much literally squeeze my legs and arms, front and back, not one time was there any oil, lotion, ANYTHING used on my extremities.. nothing. Oh my "massage" on my face was her making small circles on my sinuses with TISSUE PAPER!!! WHAT?!?!?! I'm sorry how and where does that qualify as a proper massage technique. Either your tech knows how to legitimately perform a deep tissue massage, or she doesn't, OR she was trying to pass it off as one and expect me to pay for that... Such bad business ethic... The massage itself was disappointing the "therapist" decided a proper massage would be using the very point of her elbow (which is a HUGE NO NO, because you can really really hurt someone) and rub it across my back over my spine and over the scapula... She can really hurt someone doing that... Rubbing your elbow bone over my bones isn't therapeutic... At all! So not going back and you should def reconsider if you're unfamiliar with massages... I was incredibly reluctant to pay for this crap but she did "work" for 60min.. read more

Long story, short. This is the best message I have ever had. Maya is very talented and professional. I feel like flying after this message. Highly recommend the compilation message. read more

After an unfortunate miscommunication on site the company reached out and did an outstanding job with customer service and rectification. There are a few masseuses here all with their own unique style. Darlene is my go to. Her knowledge of muscles structure and pressure really defines the massage. Prices are very reasonable, establishment is clean and Darlene is a joy. Helping you feel at ease with her soft tone, impressive English and sociable personality. Thank you Thai body works. read more

What company DEMANDS a tip!? This one! Beware they will not let you leave unless they get a good tip. I gave my therapist 20% tip and I thought she was going to lock the doors on me and not let me leave!! She said well I did this and this extra so I need more tip. Like WTF you did what!!?? Honestly, I felt super uncomfortable and won't be going back. read more

Entering a client's room without the etiquette of knocking on the door. It is a minimal courtesy, people!

I was in a car accident 4 years ago that left my muscles knotted beyond repair and my body is in constant pain. I haven't written a yelp review for a long time but Maya at Thai body works really knows her craft. She found all of my major problem areas and worked really hard on the knots, massaging many of them out that other masseuses here and in other states did not even know how to find our work out. She's amazing, she knows how to help read more

What a way to start the holidays!!! I walked in a tense and stressed monster and walked out like I was floating on a cloud. I had Paula give me a 60-minute Thai combo massage. She was so sweet and a fantastic massage therapist She worked on each knot until they melted. My boyfriend had a deep tissue with MiMi and was on equal cloud footing when he left. This place is a little hidden gem. We both left $30 each for tip because the therapists deserved every penny. read more

Excellent Thai massage by attentive professionals who make you feel comfortable. I prefer to receive harder massages due to my tight muscles, and this place is excellent, also, I enjoy the stretching that comes with the massage. read more

I have been coming here for massage for about two years, but have not been here since Feb. I just made a recent visit and found that they are under new management with $39 special before 2PM (I think). My usual is Darline and Paula is also great. They do combination with hot stones on my trouble areas (shoulders) that make me feel great the whole day. Busaba was just ok and in comparison, Thai Body Works is much better, they have bigger rooms, towls smells fresh and the massues handles your hand and legs with gentle. This is now my go to place for massage. read more

I was completely happy with my massage. I got a half hour Swedish and half hour Thai massage. I could have done a 90 minute massage. I didn't want to get up. The music was beautiful, the environment was relaxing and it was a great massage. I will definitely go back. read more

This is my first time here the massage was ok but I wished they would have told me about the credit card not working before I laid down on the massage table. Not my problem that your credit card doesn't work notify your client before hand. Its supposed to be relaxing after a massage instead I had to drive around looking for a bank to get cash so I can pay them. Not relaxing at all. read more

Been here several times, then became a regular. Does look a bit small from the outside, but very nice inside, and large hallway with nice wooden floors. When I went in I was greeted with a beautiul thai girl. I wasn't here for funny business and there was none of that. I was here for a deep tissue and that is exactly what I got. The girl I got was Anna, She was very pleasant, petite cutie, that looked a little small to give me a hard massage, but I was so wrong, she started by wiping down my feet, then gave me a killer deep tissue massage for an hour. Her hands were very strong. These genuine Thai girls really know how to give a good, deep massage. no foo foo massage here. I also liked that the place was very clean, and smelled good too. I moved out of the area, so have stopped going, but if I was in the area I would definitely go back, price is very reasonable and they give you a free massage after so many visits. They also offer discount prices for certain times during the week. A Great and Genuine massage, by nice people who know what they are doing when it comes to massage..... read more

I found my new massage place! Walked in and was able to get an appointment right away. The massage was great and the price very reasonable. It was clean and well kept. I will definately be coming back...with friends. read more

What a nice, mellow, comfortable place to enjoy a great Thai massage! Easy access, easy parking, pleasant masseuses. Enjoy!

For the price of 39/hr, they gave me a relaxing one hour. I wished I was able to have the massage with my hubby next to me though but the couple's room was reserved. Other than that, the place is really nice. Simple but relaxing. read more

Staff was very friendly. Atmosphere was also peaceful. My back was messed up and they helped me get some knots out.

This place is clean, relaxing, and the masseuse was great. My wife had a massage as well and the guy was polite and did a great job.

I actually walked into this establishment for the first time and was immediately greeted by Nadia. Nadia was really cute. The thing I noticed about her was she was so small. She is probably no more than 5' feet tall. Anyways, I paid the up front fee and was immediately shown to the room. She asked me to undress and cover by the big sheet and then lay on a mat.( She told me that if i feel comfortable wearing underwear, it would be great too) . I undressed and laid on the mat. Then, she came in a while thereafter and wiped my back with the warm towel. I felt really good. She proceeded to provide me with a great Thai/Swedish Combination Massage that was really nice. She started on my back and I loved it when she sat on my back and walked it by her knees. That's awesome!! cause she is not so heavy. After that, she began to massage my neck and arms.Eventually, she proceeded to my legs and wiped the oil off by hot towels. I felt the time went by so fast!! I didn't want the massage to be end. After I turned over, she did a lot of streching on my legs. That was nice cause she always asked how i feel. She said she didn't want to hurt me. But she had a little joke,'if you are hurt, you can scream, but not too loud cause people will think that she beats me'. She was really funny and fun to talk with. I'll definitly go back to see her again. read more

Amazing massage here. I had the Thai massage on the floor. Darlene helped me feel so relaxed after a stressful day. Very clean place. I will return. read more

It was my 3rd time getting a massage here today and they never disappoint. All the staff I've associated were very friendly, the place is clean and spacious, not to mention that it's always quiet. I've gotten a massage in a noisy environment (chatty staff in the reception area) somewhere else and that is by far my biggest pet peeve. I also like how these ladies at Thai body works put their hair up because I've had ladies who tied their hair in a low pony tail (or not tied at all) and I can feel their hair brushing against my body EWW! Their price is not cheap ($55 for a 60 min Swedish/Thai combo) but honestly it's worth it. I used to go to a place where they only charged $35 for a 90min massage but it was a hit or miss. There is no reason for me not to recommend Thai body works. Oh and did I mention they provide free BOTTLED water (cold or water temp) at the end? Not some Dixie cup? IMPRESSIVE. read more

I am a big fan of Thai massage but usually have to drive to Thai town which is 30 miles away. I found this place on yelp and was initially skeptical as there was only one review. I arrived for my appointment and immediately noticed how serene the lobby was with the sound of water from a small fountain. I was greeted by a friendly lady who led me to a private room which is different from places in Thai town where the daybeds are usually separated by curtains. The room was clean with simple but classic Thai decor. I was instructed to disrobe and to lie on my stomach with a sheet placed over me. The masseuse came in after a few minutes and introduced herself as Nikki. She then asked me if there was a specific area that I need help with and I told her it was my lower back. She then started the massage with my feet and slowly worked her way up. She was very attentive to where my knots are and was perfect In the way she applied her pressure and stretches. It was one of the best massages that I have ever had and I felt ten times better after an hour. Sure it was a bit more expensive than Thai town but with the money that I save on gas I felt that it was definitely worth it. I would definitely be coming back on a regular basis!! read more

Thai Body Works is a boutique Thai massage place in Torrance and one of the best places in the South Bay for authentic Thai and Swedish massage. I have visited several massage places across LA County over the past few years and I keep coming back to Thai Body Works. This place has the most experienced therapists and the ambience is cozy with relaxing music (not the elevator music played at other places). Plus, the rooms are clean and a shower is available. The Thai massages are given on futons on the floor and the masseuses really know what they are doing. I typically get the combo massage and it costs $50, but lately they have had a mid-day special for $40. I try to get Darlene if she is available, but you should call ahead and ask for an appointment as she may be booked, but it is worth calling ahead. I have had back issues over the past few years, but when I schedule a combo massage at Thai Body Works I always feel better! I'll keep coming back. read more
