Got the couples massage - combination for both of us (half swedish and half thai massage) Why we were here // We just got married and since my husband was flying back to SF, we wanted to get a massage to relax our tense muscles. Atmosphere and Facility // it's a very simple facility with only basic amenities (bathroom, water, candy) no lockers or fancy saunas here. It's very clean and the service is really friendly. Service// My husband and I got the 85 minute combo massages and it came with a complimentary hot stone massage which was included in a promotion they were running. The massage felt wonderful! It was my first time trying hot stone as well as Thai so I kept my expectation neutral. The thai was firm and stretched you out in areas I didn't even know can stretch! I think I would definitely come back for this when I start working out again. I really loved the hot stone massage! I was surprised by how nice it felt and how relaxed it made me! The private atmosphere and quality massages offered at Nora Thai are great for the price. I stopped in today for the first time in months and got the 60 min combo massage. My masseuse, Hana, was kind enough to focus on the knots around my neck and shoulders and I'm very appreciative towards her for how limber I feel now. However, it's important to note that their Yelp $10 discount now only applies for your first time visiting. The woman at the front desk thought I had booked an appointment last week and scolded me for trying to use it again. I'd recommend they change this on their end to avoid any future miscommunications with clientele. I've been here a total of four times, and there's never been a masseuse who's disappointed. They've always had a room available when I call half a hour in advance, and I really love that kind of convenience. There's also adjustable bed warmers if it happens to be a chilly day. read more

The inside is very clean, smells great and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Unfortunately, the massage itself was the worst I've ever had. Although she was friendly, she spent way too much time massaging my head (as if to milk the minutes left), hurried through the massage which made my body feel physically rushed, and the massage technique itself was quite honestly painful and did NOT hit any of the points I was hoping she would hit. They're open! I had an amazing massage yesterday from Leyla. These ladies work so hard and put so much love and energy into their work, lets support this business. They are Covid compliant, everything is so clean and sanitized, and staff and customers keep masks on at all times. The combination massage is exactly what you want it to be, a nice mix of Thai massage including stretching and walking on your back, and deep tissue Swedish style to really relax you. Great spot for a massage. I've been to several spots here in LA and this one ranks at the top so far. Went in for a one hour couples massage and my masseuse was Hana. I got the Swedish (firm) massage and she was very thorough and really worked out those knots. My wife had Som and she enjoyed her massage as well. So glad I finally came in this place! This was my second ever massage experience and I'm so glad I looked at the reviews of this place before coming in. Pam knew exactly what spots to target without me saying a word even though she did ask. She was very patient and kind about the fact that I am super ticklish which was a huge bonus considering my first massage ever was not deep tissue at all and failed to relax me. I had been going to the local "chain" massage place down the street, but they were booked when I called, so I went looking on Yelp to find another option... found Nora Thai. I was skeptical at first, the place is right on a busy street, its nothing pretty, not what I'm used to for a relaxing massage, but I decided to see how it goes... it had a LOT of 5-star reviews... I prefer deep tissue massage, but the therapist MUST know what they're doing or it's painful and does more harm than good... 2-mins into the massage and I knew I was in very good hands, she did an amazing job. I'm still not sure how such a tiny woman was able to do such an amazing job, but she ROCKED it, wow. I've been getting massages at these nice places for the longest time, and I get ONE Thai massage at this place and it rocked my world... Good pricing, VERY convenient location if you're in South Bay, and the massage was one of the best I've ever had.... I'll be back again this weekend... The second i walked in the door it had a beautiful mist of Eucalyptus in the air. The ambiance was that of darker more soothing version of Massage Place. Prices comparable. They were able to fit me in same day within a few hours. When i arrived they signed me in and took me to a room with some time to change/relax. The woman who came in was very nice and asked me if she could walk on my back (some people don't like that so it was nice she asked), asked what pressure i like etc. i definitely enjoyed the massage and she was able to work on some knots i had without being too aggressive. I recently moved to Riverside and had a garbage massage, and i realized I've been taking Nora's thai Massage for granted. The man at the front desk is always pleasant, but Som (Amporn) is the gem of this facility. She is so polite and professional. She walks on the back, uses great pressure with her hands and does plenty of stretches.. Som is also open to suggestions, sometimes I don't want excessive stretching, she is always pleasant with my requests. I can't wait to return and have my card stamped for a free hour! read more

I am a professional athlete and when I need a strong, relaxing massage this is my favorite Thai spa. The therapists are very professional and can apply strong pressure if you need. I'm completely addicted to this place. I used to go to another Thai massage place but this one knocks it out of the park! Every time I go I have a different therapist but they are all so good I never feel the need to request anyone. That's unusual right? I can call anytime of day and they try to accommodate. The atmosphere is clean and quiet and the rooms are nicely appointed. These places are never "fancy" but they actually have a pleasant decor. The beds can be heated which makes for a more comfortable massage. I almost want to keep this gem my little secret but they deserve all the success they can get. read more

If you are in pain and need a massage come here. They tailor the massage to you when they feel where your issues are and will spend time getting out those places that are causing your problems. I once had a massage here and the massage therapist went ten extra minutes because there was a pinched nerve in my neck that she was trying to ease, I didn't even have to tell her it was there or ask. They spared me another day of intense pain and having to take another horrid muscle relaxer. The prices are a bit high but you leave with what you pay for. People that care about the massages they do DESERVE to be paid for their craft. Thai massage is very helpful for anyone, they work into the muscle and release toxins that are built up in your muscles leaving you more relaxed and healthy. I have referred many of my friends here and they all say it was one of the best of not the best massages they've ever had. I've never had a bad experience here, one time the lights went out in the couples massage rooms and they made the effort to bring in candles so that we could still have the couples rooms and they worked on us in the almost dark. Where do I even begin? It went wrong in so many ways I don't even know where to start. First of all, I went to get a 90 min massage on one of the coldest days of the year. It was probably 55 degrees. I walked into the room and could tell there was no heat on. When the therapist came in I asked about the cold room and she said the owner was working to get the heat fixed. Didn't seem like there was much that could be done and I was hoping the situation would improve but no, it did not. The oli was cold, the floors were cold and there was no towel put down so that your feet didn't have to walk on could floors. There was no heating pad on the bed, there were no blankets, only a thin sheet. There was no space heater in place of the HVAC system not working. I thought that maybe it would somehow get better but it never did. For 90 min I froze my @$$ off. I mentioned how cold it was to my therapist multiple times. When the long miserable 90 minutes was over I got my clothes on and went to the front desk. Tony asked me how my massage was and I told him my therapist was great but the experience was miserable because of how cold it was. He told me I should have told the therapist, to which I said I had. He said I had the best room in the place so it shouldn't have been that bad. I told him that it was that bad. He then said he wasn't the owner so there is nothing he could do about my awful experience. I told him there was a lot he could do like: apologize, offer a discount, offer a free service in the future, take my name and phone number and have the owner contact me. Did I really need to tell him how to do his job? Clearly, the owner of this establishment either doesn't care about his patrons experience or hasn't taken the time to train his manager properly. read more

I hate to give this a low review since the staff was very friendly, but I felt cheated. My husband has been here numerous times and has really loved it. We went there for a couples massage which was supposed to be $ 90 for an hour and added a half hour. We paid $ 120 and left. The next day we get a call and was told that we owe $ 50 more that the $ 120 was for 1 hour. When I said it was supposed to be $ 90 I was told that was only before 3 pm. I asked the price when I made a appointment and was never told the price was before 3 pm. Considering that my appointment was at 7:00 pm they should have quoted me the correct price. I usually go to a different place down closer to Hermosa Beach and will be going back there in the future. The service was the same quality at half the price. read more
