This time the massage was better than last time, BUT-- and this is a huge BUT-- they increased the prices ($80 for 90 minutes now instead of $75) and during our couples massage, they kept leaving the room to pick up the phone or talk to customers coming in. Additionally, we paid for 90 minutes and they stopped the massage early. Tsk. They need like a front desk person or something. We def didn't get all the time we paid for and all the frequent stops coming in and out were bothersome. I do wish I got the name of my masseuse bc she was able to find and focus on all my knots. Arrived 4:45 and by time I was settled in and lady started it was 4:55 and lady ended at 5:45 as well as the 10 minutes stolen, it was about another 5 minutes jipped off from her answering calls etc. All said, I paid $60 for 45 minutes massage. Despicable service. Front desk lady was incredibly rude and did not know how to manage customers or time frames. She was getting visibly annoyed at our questions and wanted to shoo us out the door instead of taking our money. We wanted an hour long massage which we asked and confirmed over the phone with 2 people before arriving and she only offered us 30 minutes without explanation. She then proceeded to get angry and raise her voice while I was quietly asking questions about coming in the next day for a 60 minute massage but she did not answer, claiming we were disturbing the people getting massages... but we were the only ones there and she was the only one raising her voice. This place gets a one star. I had originally booked an appointment for an hour massage and when I got there and was laying on the table, she switched it up and told me it would only be half an hour. She kept walking out of the room to check up on visitors and was left laying on the table. Then she started saying stuff in a foreign language to her friend.......I would imagine not very nice things :( This is NOT the place to go if you need specific deep tissue work on a troubled or knotted area. I just left here and let me tell you, this was one of the best massages I have had in a long time. I had Christina who was amazing she asked me what problem areas I had and if she wanted me to have her only focus on those or if I wanted a whole body massage. My wife and I were in town enjoying a staycation over the Labor Day weekend which also happens to be my birthday weekend. We decided to try a couples massage. Lucy's Massage Studio fit the bill... Booking was a breeze with their on-line service and confirmation. The reviews were all favorable, so it seemed like a great fit, boy were we right. The couples room had two permanent massage tables nicely set up and a great ambiance. My wife (who has been enjoying the massage scene for years had Amber, who asked questions for what she needed and the amount of pressure that worked, she fit the bill perfectly, it was one of the best massages she has ever received. I had Dazhen, who had just a great feel for finding my trouble spots, applying the perfect level of pressure and making sure that I was well taken care of. We thoroughly enjoyed our treatments and could not speak more highly of the studio. Afterwards they had fresh cut watermelon and cold water for us in the front room with nice big chairs and a big screen TV. I came here based on the Yelp reviews... and now I have trust issues with Yelp. My boyfriend and I came in for a massage and the whole experience was just really strange. Mind you, this is not my first couples massage, nor my first time with a male masseuse. The owners (a couple duo), though nice, were awkward and lacked a sense of tact, which in turn made us uncomfortable the entire time. I could not wait for the massage to be over. Besides the strange vibe, even the massage itself was incredibly lackluster. The man was in plain clothes, a purple dress shirt and jeans. I could feel the rubber of his shoes rubbing on my leg every time he got on the bed. I have major knots in my shoulder/neck area which he couldn't seem to find. He said he didn't feel any tension and suggested I try getting an X-ray to identify the problem. A couple weeks later, I went in for a Shiatsu massage and the therapist was horrified at how tense my upper back was. He insisted he could only help relieve the pain, but it wouldn't do much. So I went in to the chiropractor. No X-rays needed, just takes a skilled masseuse, I suppose. The next day we passed by the shop, my boyfriend and I both shuddered - I kid you not. It was an incredibly strange, uncomfortable, weird experience. The PRO is that they offer online reservations, which is really convenient. My Fiance was surprised that I wanted to try this place out; considering I found it via YELP and it wasn't a spa. Don't let the location fool you. The owners renovated the interior. It's completely comfortable, quiet and professional. This is a venue where you can relax. The masseuse are only interested in providing a positive experience. I've tried various massages: thai, shiatsu, stone, deep tissue and swedish. I personally like the swedish massage. I prefer longer strokes with some occasional stretching and kneading to relieve tension. This place does that. Upon leaving, I feel relax and not as though I ran through a gauntlet. The masseuses are extremely nice and courtesy. They truly want you to enjoy yourself. I encourage you to try this place if you haven't. I would be surprised if you didn't like it. read more

For the price, this place is great. This place isn't super fancy or anything. Reminds me of one of those chinese massage places with cleanliness and decor (so it's a good thing). I've only had Dazhen work on me twice thus far and she's really good. She literally gets up on the table on top of you to get into your back. If you think that's awkward or creepy, you can leave because that's effort and dedication right there. She inflicts the right amount of pain (which I just suck up because I know it's good for me) and executes the right amount of pleasure as well. I was very disappointed with my last massage. First of all I asked for a deep massage and I barely received a medium. I told her that I wanted hard on my back but could not feel much pressure at all. I could chalk it up to a language problem. I had 1.5 hour massage and she didn't even massage my feet or face. Barley got my neck. When I went to pay I was charged an additional $2.00 for my credit card. And in the past (two times before) I was charged $75.00 for 90 minutes, but this time I was charged $80.00 (+2) for 90 minutes. Oh my... I came in here a total wreck! All my muscles and even the palms of my hands & the soles of my feet were SO sore from too much working, too much working out & not enough stretching. I went in requesting a Swedish massage because I didn't want someone attempting to remove a kidney, which is sometimes how deep tissue or sports massage feels to me, but after a while Dazhen suggested that I do something a little deeper. It felt perfect and I was SO bummed I didn't book the 1.5 hour that I originally was going to. She did a great job and I can't wait to go back. Very unassuming outside leads into a well-lit, clean, and pretty open room with super friendly staff - very welcoming and catering. You feel like a guest in the home of some charming hosts. The massage room was nice sized, felt like I was in a cozy bedroom. I decided to call Lucy's Massage Studio - I had driven by it several times and instincts prompted me to remember the website address.- just one of those places I got good "vibes" off of. They were able to fit me in that afternoon. Dazhen was amazing! I've had massages at highly rated spa resorts, in cruise ship spas, and in boutique spas. This was by far the most effective massage I've had. Dazhen worked out the sore spots using knowledge of the body's structure/function. I relaxed. My muscles sighed in relief. My shoulder blades regained proper position with the muscles no longer pulling in painful ways. All in all, I left there EXTREMELY pleased with the experience. UPDATE: I am updating my review after being contacted by the Owners (no this isn't one of those owner Horror stories you hear about on TV). Eric and Dazhen contacted me shortly after my post sincerely upset and saddened that I had a poor experience, he explained to me that my therapist was a temporary hire due the holiday, they offered me multiple resolutions and I am satisfied that were I to go back it would be a much better experience. I am not sure where all these five star reviews came from but they suckered me in. I had a knot in my lower back that despite having a massage the previous week had returned ( it was very stubborn) and it being labor day my usual place was not open, I looked up massages here on yelp and this place came up 5 stars and not 500 million dollars, I gave them all call. The phone conversation was very awkward I had to repeat my phone number multiple times, but I got an appt. in hindsight I should've just waited. The whole vibe of the place is creepy, it looks like something out of a script calling for a seedy massage parlor( it didn't look dirty just creepy) and the music is more conducive a guy who lives in his van with naked ladies painted on the side. But I figured I need a massage and no where else is open, I should've have waited. My massage therapist and I use the term loosely was on the bed a couple of times (super creepy) and my lower back is worst then ever my spine feels bruised in several places to the point that standing up or sitting down or putting on basic articles of clothing brings me to near tears. The most awkward part was sitting in the lobby with my massage therapist for 15 mins watching TV waiting to pay and then I had to finally speak up.
