The massage therapist wasn't afraid to apply pressure (legs, arms, head, neck, etc) and really trigger those tension spots and knots. Most pregnancy massages just feels like an oil rub with zero pressure and I usually don't get my knots targeted but this massage was more therapeutic than that. The space was inviting with warm and dim lights and the bed was warm without being too toasty. The pillows were soft and it was a comfortable experience. The warm towel rub down was relaxing. The ambient music was also an appropriate volume and was relaxing. The bad: The neck massage was rougher than I am used to and I feel sore there. I had congestion which made the experience less ideal. The interesting: I parked out in front by the street but I think there's a private lot.

I don't even know how to describe the experience that I just had. I called to see if they had…read moreavailability for a massage in the next 15 minutes and they did. I was greeted by an older gentleman with gray hair and he smelled of cigarettes. He was the person who conducted my experience. For the first 30 to 40 minutes, a man popped at me and jerked me around through the thin sheet and skin to skin with no oils or anything while I was on my belly. The poking and the prodding did not feel like a massage as my body just kept shaking back-and-forth every time he kept poking. I contemplated asking him to stop to wait for someone else because this was not a Massage at all. I already knew the ambience wasn't going to be great because of the fact that there are no doors just curtain so you can't really get very relaxed. I had requested the 90 minute combo massage which included hot stones. Maybe I should have asked clarifying questions because he did stack stones down my back, but he did not actually use them to massage any part of my body. Eventually, he did use some oils and the massage felt more like a traditional massage. I guess I just did not care for his technique and overall I was really disappointed with spending $80 to get poked and jerked around and leave with a headache from the motion sickness's and smell of cigarettes. Honestly, I didn't feel like I needed to leave a tip, but I still gave him a $10 bill because I know everyone is just out here trying to work. He looked at the bill I gave him unfolded it, he then shook his head in complete disappointment and just walked away. Maybe I should have gone with my first thought and not let it tip at all since he did not seem to appreciate what I had given him. Needless to say this is not a place I will be going back to.

She is very strong and made sure to check in with me to ask if it was too hard, which I appreciated, but I told her it was perfect (because it was!). I felt such relief afterwards and in the following days, especially in my shoulders, which she spent a lot of time on (which was much needed). It's been a few years since I got my first massage from her but this time around I've been having chronic pain near the arches of my feet for almost 3 months from a lot standing at my former job and DJ sets. Kaoru listened to my concerns about these problems and assessed my feet before promptly getting to work, always making sure I could handle the pressure. It was a bit painful to break all the knots that I didn't even existed in the center of feet but I felt so much relief after despite being a bit sore after. It's been a few days now after the foot reflexology/massage and I can definitely say my feet feel much more grounded than before and the constant pain much more subtle like I'm finally healing. But on to this highly anticipated review from what I would believe has been the best deep tissue massage I have received from a massage parlor was done by Emma today. I was referred to her by a friend of mine, I have a masseuse that I have come to my home monthly, but she is so amazing and books out so far in advance that sometimes I need a massage on the spot or within a couple days so finding someone local was something I really needed. I called on a Saturday to book and she was not available so I asked if she was available Sunday and I was able to get in with her first appointment availability at 10 AM. Unfortunately, I was mistaken and ended up at a different massage parlor down the road and didn't realize I was at the wrong place until about 10:30. I called her and I told her that I was so sorry about the misunderstanding, but I was up the street and I would be there in a minute and she was so kind and sweet and told me no rush to take my time and to be safe. I really appreciated that as I am a business owner as well and I know that things happen and the accommodation to take me still was much obliged since I was pretty irritated at my experience at the other massage parlor in those 30 minutes that was there waiting not even realizing that I was at the wrong place due to their lack of customer service. Once I arrived at the establishment, I was greeted by her and she was so sweet and kind. I would love to go into detail about how amazing my massages but I really feel like you just need to experience it for yourself. I booked a 90 minute massage, but I literally felt like I was there for two hours! She really took her time with my body. She really focused on every single inch of my body and let me tell you I was so stiff, my muscles were so tight, but she slowly started engaging and even though it was painful at times because of the amount of pressure she was using it was done with care, she really knows what she's doing. My friend did tell me that she has hands of an angel and I can totally attest to that. After the massage was done, it may seem silly, but tears were running down my face because I felt so taking care of. She asked me if I wanted some water or hot tea and I asked for a hot tea, met her at the front and she went over some stretches for me to do since I work out a lot and my job is pretty taxing on my body. For a 90 min massage I paid 140, which I feel was worth every penny. The whole experience was phenomenal and I cannot wait to tell everyone about what an amazing experience I had. We went with medium since it was our first time, and he reassured us we could always ask to adjust the pressure as the massage went on. He also asked if we wanted to be in the same room or separate rooms. We didn't mind either way, so we were put in separate rooms. The massage was fantastic. The masseuse kept checking in to make sure the pressure was okay. I really liked the hot stones, which were included in the original price. So relaxing! And the part where they cracked my back was super satisfying. I also appreciated the music playing in the background; it really helped me relax. Overall a great experience.
