Today, I had the pleasure of experiencing my first chiropractic wellness visit. I came in for a low back strain experiencing inflammation and lots of pain, tightness & discomfort. The moment I came in the door, I was greeted by the reservationists whom were very pleasant & professional. A very calming and relaxing lounge area to say the least (instantly relaxed my nervous system - the energy felt great) Dr. Kim thoroughly consulted me, guided me through the process of stretches/adjustment that were going to take place. I came in extremely uncomfortable and left with lots of relief. ‍ My apologies for the cry that followed during service. At first, I felt so embarrassed but Dr. Kim reassured me that it was okay (releasing stress from the body). He made me feel very comfortable and at ease from the moment i was in his space to the moment I left. He provided me with aftercare and what he suggested I do to prevent the strain from happening in the future. If you're looking for a pleasant space and a great chiropractor Dr. Kim has the healers touch! Employees: pleasant Environment: peaceful Dr. Kim: professional/thorough/healing

Best chiropractor in the South Bay. My family and I have been going to Dr Kim for last 10 years. He keeps us straight and healthy. Highly recommend.

I was referred by my cousin to check out Back on Point Wellness who had been a chiropractic patient in the past and was lucky enough to win a free acupuncture + cupping session with Holly Beck at their Grand Reopening Event. She was absolutely amazing! She was so thorough, insightful, and prescriptive as she gave me sound advice on how to deal with some of my health conditions and pain points. I discovered so much about my body in her session and it was fascinating to learn how my nervous system is connected and pathways lead to one another. I've been struggling with type 2 diabetes and foot pain and she taught me so much on how to ease some of the issues. She was so passionate about her work and really took her time to give me a calming experience. My favorite part was the cupping at the end which left me loose and relaxed leaving their office. I'd definitely recommend booking a session with her. Thank you for the warm welcome and great customer service. I'm grateful for this experience.

My body is finally working the way it should be! The first time I came to the clinic my neck was so messed up. I woke up with a messed up neck from sleeping incorrectly. I walked around like a combination of Frankenstein and a zombie at the same time. After my first session with Dr. Kim I finally had full movement. It was my first adjustment ever and I've never felt so light in my body before. 1 month after my first treatment I came back again for another one to work on my lower body specifically my knee area. Every time I ran more than 2 miles my knees would lock up and I'd have a hard time even walking. In the session, he did some massaging, pressed on some pressure points, and did his adjustments. Holyyyy omg (I don't ever say omg by the way). But the very next day I ran 2 miles and for the first time in 2 years I didn't feel like I was injuring myself. I felt like I had a new body. I don't know what he did to me but since my adjustment I've felt aligned in my body physically as well as energetically. You have to go see Dr Kim!

Had a great experience in all aspects! The staff here really care about you and want to guide you through and even help locate causes/roots of where your pain comes from, ultimately to relieve and to repair. Dr. Ernest Kim helped me out with my neck and shoulder pains, definitely will be going back for more treatment. Also, Angie, one of the staff members was really nice and helpful! I have had neck and shoulder pain for years, still ongoing but visiting Back On Point really helped out with the tension and discomfort! Don't miss out!

Review #840 2025-012…read more I was rear ended in 11/2024 before Thanksgiving & went to P/T when my therapist suggested acupuncture &/or massage therapy to advance my recovery: right shoulder, neck, & back. I tried massage once more than a decade ago, but I have personal space issues besides being very ticklish. I searched awhile trying to find the "right" type of massage therapy, & came upon Gettys Muscle Therapy. I wasn't able speak with Lyssa because she's an independent contractor at Amie House, but she did reply by text with enough info that I felt comfortable to schedule an appointment 1-month out. She's busy either because of her limited schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (M, T, Th), 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (W, F) or she's THAT good. Established in 2010, Lyssa is a board-certified CA massage therapist providing therapy for rehabilitative care (not like the spa-associated massages?) at Amie House, a reimagined holistic center of independent wellness professionals. The 1st appointment is 90-mins.: 30 for pre/post assessment based on your intake/application form + 60 for massage. A detailed intake form ensures a full massage session, other it'll be shorten to clarify your needs/goals; thereafter, sessions are 30, 60, 90 mins. with Pay Later option of 4 installments (not sure if there's surcharges for this payment plan). Lyssa is thorough with asking questions that will assist her in your treatment, & discusses post-treatment observations & changes between appointments to guide her approach for a more impactful session. She's methodical in working on & around the tender areas, stretching & maneuvering for better range/flexibility. Her technique is different from another masseuse who uses more & constant pressure. At Gettys Muscle Therapy, treatment shouldn't be "no pain, no gain" instead it's detailed pressure with some discomfort of a "good sore." Followed by consistent homework on post assessment tips to maintain the progress made. Due to the cold weather, any minute progress made with PT & massage therapy is 1-step forward, 10-steps back; now weather is slightly warmer, & have increased the PT intensity & additional HW (from 1 set daily to 3 sets) & infrequent massage therapy, I've regained a lot of mobility & working on the back & building strength. On my 2nd session, Lyssa suggested I come in earlier to supplement with Dry Float Therapy, aka Zero Gravity Therapy. It's meant to be a relaxing experience that simulates weightlessness without getting wet. It involves lying on a special floatation bed that uses a dry membrane & is designed to minimize outside senses & feelings to help relieve stress & physical pain. However, this wasn't for me... triggering claustrophobia, anxiety, & nausea that remained with me for the whole day into the next day. I was barely in the bed (less than a min.?)... lying flat, which I'm incapable of doing (need to be raised a few degrees upward), & it felt tight like you're in a coffin but more snug. After getting my bearings, my massage wasn't therapeutic with my focus on breathing through the normally tolerable discomfort & trying not to get sick on the bed. This complementary add-on is $35 at a 30% discount for 30-mins. & $80 regular price for 60-mins. I'm not consistent with her post assessment tips (HW), but these complementary massage sessions along with PT has helped in my recovery. If you're looking for clinical massage therapy, look no further than Gettys Muscle Therapy. Keep in mind that it's challenging to secure short-term appointments because she is THAT good.

Lyssa is easily the best massage therapist I have ever been to, there is a reason why her…read moreappointments are usually full! I've been twice now: first with Blake and most recently with Leks, and both experiences were excellent. Even though their website emphasizes neck and shoulders, both therapists were very comfortable working on my lower body as well when I told them that I'm a runner who needs it all (and yes, they still addressed neck and shoulders thoroughly). Blake's session leaned more toward deep tissue, which was exactly what I needed at the time. It was intense, but not TOO intense. He even did some whole-body assisted stretches at the end which was a nice cherry on top. Leks took a different approach and didn't seem to want to hurt me with deep pressure, but these knots are hearty! Even though I told him he could use more pressure, his work felt more like gentler myofascial release. I did tell him that I have a race this weekend and don't want to be sore, so maybe that's why he took it a bit easier on me. Still, he targeted all of my trouble spots and I walked out feeling like a new woman. (I still need someone to dig into my right trap a bit more, but I have another voucher already purchased so I'll be back!) Both therapists clearly know what they're doing, listen well, and adapt their work to what your body actually needs in that moment. If it weren't so far from my Santa Monica home, I'd absolutely be a regular. But they're open late, so I can wait til traffic dies down on weekdays and then the drive isn't too bad. Highly recommend, especially if you're an active person who needs thoughtful, skilled bodywork rather than a cookie-cutter massage.
