I recently had my first visit with Dr. Ernest Kim at Back Point Wellness and I honestly can't recommend him enough. I'd been dealing with this massive stress ball lump in my neck for almost a year and nothing was working. I tried foam rolling and stretching constantly at home but it just wouldn't budge. When I went in, Dr. Kim really took the time to talk through my pain and actually listen to what was going on. He does these specific stretches during the adjustment that made a huge difference, and he definitely went above and beyond what I expected for a first appointment. My partner even noticed that the lump was finally gone after my visit and told me my walking and posture look way better. I'm complaining about pain so much less now and just feel more aligned. I've been going to Dr. Kim for my chiropractor needs (he is amazing as always) but came back recently for an injury and was pleasantly surprised to see that he expanded! The new office is nice and clean, with a friendly staff up front. They seem to be much more comprehensive now with so many different types of services. I also did not know this but he also can do PT on foot injuries - I got plantar fasciitis and he not only has a custom insole machine, he's able to help work your foot out to make sure that everything is okay. After getting my feet scanned, he helped me work through my pain and ensure that I was on the right track to recovery with stretches, massage, and more. I also got my back and body cracked which was such a relieving appointment overall. After my session, my foot started feeling so much better and the pain went away after a few days. We discussed a plan and he made his recommendations. My additional sessions are shorter, approximately 30 minutes and includes adjustments and the use of a massage gun. For context purposes, I'm 40 and was experiencing neck and back pain. I see Gio for massage therapy. He has also been wonderful and professional. His goal is to heal and he wants to ensure his massage therapy is doing just that. He can apply pressure and it can be tense. I have a high tolerance for pain so I was able to get through those sessions where intense pressure was required. My Son Experience My son sees Dr. Kim. He absolutely loves his sessions with Dr. Kim. My son plays soccer and was diagnostic with Osgood-Schlatter a year ago. Dr. Kim met with my son and talked with him about his knees, stretching, and an adjustment. Today, I had the pleasure of experiencing my first chiropractic wellness visit. I came in for a low back strain experiencing inflammation and lots of pain, tightness & discomfort. I was referred to Back on Point by a Medical billing service. I was suppose to be treated by Gregory Stayberg. I arrived approximate twenty minutes early. I filled out a couple forms and waited in the lobby. As I was waiting, I heard a male voice talking to the receptionist the whole time. At approximate 3:15PM, which was the time of my appointment, a female patient walked in. She apologized for being late and said she would wait if she could be squeezed in between patients. My body is finally working the way it should be! The first time I came to the clinic my neck was so messed up. I woke up with a messed up neck from sleeping incorrectly. I walked around like a combination of Frankenstein and a zombie at the same time. After my first session with Dr. Kim I finally had full movement. It was my first adjustment ever and I've never felt so light in my body before. 1 month after my first treatment I came back again for another one to work on my lower body specifically my knee area. Every time I ran more than 2 miles my knees would lock up and I'd have a hard time even walking. In the session, he did some massaging, pressed on some pressure points, and did his adjustments. I am 36 weeks pregnant and went in for a maternity treatment today with Dr Kim and what a relief my body felt after! I knew I was holding tension but I didn't know how stiff and tight my whole body was. He's always been considerate of my comfort levels and gentle with the movements. Had neck pains and I couldn't turn my neck. Went to my original chiro and he said I would need an xray and go through multiple sessions to fix it. Thought I would get a second opinion and visited Back on Point and Dr. Ernest looked at me for a second, asked me to take off my shirt and just look at myself. My neck or the muscle on my right side, deltoid? Was noticeable bigger than my left and he immediately started digging into my neck muscle. Once the session was done he had my look again and it was noticeably less swollen. He said one more session and I should be good. Pain definitely subsided as well. Came back a couple of days later and I was back to normal. I was wmindblown by how simple my situation was and the fact that Dr. Ernest saw it so simply and just fixed it asap without all the extra costs and fluff. Amazing staff! Front desk employees are always very kind, and all of the staff here are amazing. I've been having constant pain around my upper back/shoulder blade area for years that I had to get monthly deep tissue massages for. The pain would come back the very next week, and I had to wait till my next massage for the temporary relief. It wasn't until I saw Dr.Kim, who pointed out that I had a rib out. After the adjustment, the pain finally went away and I realized I forgot how "normal" felt like. The pain was gone and I was even able to breathe better. I've also had acupuncture done in sync with my menstrual cycles as well, and it completely got rid of any cramps and pms symptoms over the course of three sessions. On occasions when my body needs a little more care, I get adjusted by Dr.Kim, acupuncture/cupping and massage. Heidi is amazing at targeting key areas and really works on those knots. If you can handle a really deep tissue like the ones you can only get in Asia, she's the only person I found in the U.S who can give you that pressure. I also had a great session with Gio - he's a great balance between firm and gentle, his massage feels like a vinyasa flow in the best way possible, if that makes sense. TLDR; Hands down the best place for true healing vs. quick superficial cracks. I've been to numerous chiropractors, acupuncturists, and massage therapists and I can confidently say after literally trying everyone out, this place is a gem. Appointments book up fast so I'm hesitant to let the secret out. You really can't go wrong with anyone/service here. The moment you step in, you're greeted by the friendly front office (Trevor, Angie, Molina). They really go out of their way to make sure the booking all the way to the service(s) rendering is flawless and nothing short of amazing. Dr. Kim and Dr. Jake are just really zen. They really care about healing you and making you feel better for the long term. They supplement manipulations with ART which really makes the difference. I've been going for my TMJ and the pain is pretty gnarly during but afterwards, I'm practically pain free for awhile and without headaches. Abby, the acupuncturist, is chef's kiss. I have not met a more effective Acupuncturist. In searching for one, I almost gave up entirely. Grateful I found her. She's really intuitive. Lastly the massage therapists. Cindy, Patty, Mindy, Gio. Everyone has their own style and they're all the best in their trades. There's a blend of sports therapy, acupressure/ trigger point, Thai, and just a good ole relaxation massage. They're all so good, I can never stick with one. And they're so nice they encourage you to hop around based on whatever you're feeling you need. This place is just awesome. Go. Relax. Heal. Enjoy. I was always weary of chiropractors but my lawyer from a car accident claim recommended I get a chiropractor. I started seeing a different chiropractor for back pain. My old chiro put me on machines and did maybe 3 minutes of manual treatment. I was getting discouraged because I wasn't feeling better after 2 months of treatment. My friend recommend I see Dr. Kim after he helped her with back pain from a friend accident. So i decided to switch and see Dr. Kim. I've seen him for 8 sessions and he's helped me so much! His sessions are about 30 minutes and he does all manual treatments (stretching, myofascial release, adjustments)....no machine whatsoever! He knows what areas to work on by feeling with his hands...and he's super strong. My pain is getting better and I'm able to tolerate more activities after seeing Dr. Kim. He has an approach that is holistic...he's given me great suggestions for brain fog and acid reflex! During covid, the staff/ patients wear masks and sanitizers are available everywhere. I know that they're wiping down mats because it's wet right as I enter. So it's very clean! Staff have been friendly and the parking lot has plenty of parking available. Massage by Mindy was wonderful as she applied multiple techniques to learn and address even my less severe painful needs.

I had to have a microdiscectomy to repair a bulging disc. And my three superstars... - Jake (chiro) - Abby (acupuncturist) - Cindy (masseuse) ... got me ready for the procedure with several treatments leading up to it and were instrumental in my recovery. Because they had prepped me so well, my recovery was a breeze and I was back to working out 6-8 weeks post-op. I still see each of them about once a month, and at 40 my body feels better than it has in ten years. To have all of these services in one place has been a godsend for me. Dr. K has the best wellness facility I've ever been to. They have chiro, acupuncture, massage, acupuncture, cupping, etc... I've had a few deep tissue sessions with Cindy and I have never experienced this level of tissue manipulation. I am in utter pain & tears throughout the whole time. I get nervous before my session with Cindy because I know what I'm about to endure. She uses her crossfit strength to grind/pull/stretch/tenderize every piece of muscle. Ever since i found this place & seeing them at my gym the Ufc of Torrance I enjoy coming to this clinic. From the relaxing vibe of the office to the friendly staff, when you step in the door, you really notice a difference from the outside world. I come to see Angie for cupping as she is the best I've ever experienced. Angie is a wonderful communicator, friendly, and very instinctive in her craft. My stress starts to dissolve when she speaks. Furthermore, she can sense where the tight muscles and trigger points are in your body in order to place a cup for maximum relief.
