I came last year for PMDD as my last option and it was the best decision I have ever made. I came only twice and all my symptoms simple vanished! I had never been so happy in my life! I came back last week because I've been having bad back spasms from stress and again to no surprise I feel better after one treatment! Everyone in the office is very kind and calming! If you are hesitant about needles let me tell you that you can't feel it and it's not too bad. Coming from someone who has a fear of needles. Their new location is in a very busy medical building. I would suggest coming a little bit earlier than your appointment because it takes a second to get into the parking lot. Other than that this will always be my go to place for me! I am so glad that I get to live a pain free life because of their dedicated treatment! read more

My son who's a freshman in high school was having pain on his left shoulder. Left shoulder mobility wasn't good and he was having sharp pains in certain movements. We found Dr. Kim who was able to do acupuncture on his shoulder. She explained what to expect from the treatment and shared her knowledge. We are happy we found her because my son says it feels so much better already. My son was just amazed and I'm a thankful mama. Now I know even with sports injury, Dr. Kim will be the place to go for our family. read more

I can't say enough amazing things about Trinity Acupuncture! I've been seeing both Dr. Kim and Dr. Yong for over a year now, primarily for infertility. They are so knowledgeable, compassionate, and easy to connect with. I honestly don't know how my IVF treatments would have gone without their care. We welcomed our baby girl and I owe a huge amount of gratitude for the level of care both Dr. Kim and Dr. Yong have shown me. Also it's an added bonus that the receptionists are all wonderful and they know you by name. It's like a family atmosphere. The rooms are clean and I love the small touches with the heated bed and meditative music playing during sessions. The Drs have also helped me with other items such as stress, heartburn, and so much more. If you are looking for an acupuncturist, highly recommend Trinity Acupuncture! read more

My knee feels so much better after 1 treatment. Would definitely recommend if you have a muscle and joint issue. Thank you so much.

Like to go for acupuncture for my back and neck and it always helps more than chiropractors have been able to and keeps me pain free for longer. I highly recommend it as well as the cupping if nothing else seems to work and keep you pain free! read more

My experience with Dr. Kim has been wonderful. My gf and esthetician both recommended her when I mentioned that I was trying to conceive. She takes the time to learn your entire medical history and goals. This is a big deal since I have already seen other acupuncturists and the experiences are not all the same. I just started treatments with her for 3 months now and everything has been great. She prescribed me some herbs and made some suggestions on my diet that would help with fertility. My periods were irregular due to IVF treatments but they are finally normalizing now with Dr. Kim's treatment plan. I look forward to our appointments and think she's amazing. Her office is very clean and has lots of parking. I will definitely update when I am further along on my fertility journey. read more

I'm lucky to have found Trinity, the overall experience was great from scheduling, check in, bed side manner and treatment. I didn't feel like just another patient. Dr Yong understand everyone is different and not all injuries are equal. She took her time to understand my background and what led up to my visit that could have attributed to my underlying shoulder injuries. I've have had many successes with Chinese medicine from illness to physical injuries so this was an easy decision to find a local practitioner. After a few dry needling treatments, she was able to pinpoint deep in my muscle to release the lingering pain I've had. I highly recommend Trinity for anyone looking for an alternative solution. read more

I've been coming here for years and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this practice. I started coming here to manage my stage 4 endometriosis and prepare my body for the IVF process. After a year of preparation I'm happy to say that I got pregnant on our first round of IVF and had a healthy babygirl in 2018. A few years later and living across the country I came back to LA for my next round of IVF for baby #2. Again, I came back to my trinity family for treatments before and after my transfer. This practice has helped me with everything from impetigo, the common cold, muscle aches, alopecia, to relaxation. Between the acupuncture and the herbs, the practice has helped to keep me and my family healthy. I highly recommend! The office is cozy and comfortable and the staff is super nice and always willing to work with you! Oh and when you come, take a ticket from the parking lot but don't forget to bring it up with you to get it validated! read more

I found Dr. Kim on Yelp after being rear-ended on the freeway a few months ago. Before I began treatment, I was experiencing neck and upper back discomfort, TMJ, headaches, and numbness and tingling going down my arm into my baby finger. Although physical therapy sessions at another facility were somewhat helpful, I received more relief from Dr. Kim's treatments and soon relied on acupuncture solely for the rest of my care. If I could give Dr. Kim and her staff more than a 5-star review, I surely would. Dr. Kim is genuine and shows a great deal of compassion for her patients. She listens well and addresses all concerns and questions. Her treatments alleviated my symptoms and I am grateful for her care. Her staff, Grace, Janis, and Colleen are very nice as well. Their friendly and professional demeanor are an asset to the practice. The office is conveniently located in a medical building on Torrance Blvd. with validated parking. read more

Talk about being disappointed! After reading great reviews and seeing that this office comes highly recommended, I was excited to start my treatment for some circulation issues. I scheduled an appointment a few weeks in advance (the soonest they could fit me in) and I received a call from the office that my insurance was "Verified." So hearing this, my assumption was that my insurance would cover my visits. Well, today is my appointment and I receive a call from the office (Salma) to tell me that I am going to be treated by one of the Doctors that is "out of network." Therefore, my visits would need to be paid out of pocket! Huh! The one Doctor that qualifies this location to be listed in all insurance directories is leaving this location by the end of the year. So it was recommended that I get treatment from another Doctor. And again, one that is out of network and I would have to pay "out of pocket." No Bueno! Talk about disappointment and at the last moment, as I was getting ready to leave my house for the appointment. Unfortunately I cancelled the appointment and will have to seek treatment elsewhere. Is there such a thing as "Bait and Switch" in the Medical Industry? If so, this would be a perfect example. This fits into the category of "Scam!" I'm going to chalk this one up to miscommunication, but definitely really really disappointed. read more

I don't write reviews often but feel this one is important. Dr. Kristina Elminoufi, has basically saved my life. As a female going through menopause, I have been suffering from a variety of symptoms that have made my life miserable. With Kristina's patience, guidance and expertise, she has helped me get rid of the hot flashes and I had my first 8 hour sleep in years. Upon arrival, Kristina took the time to ask questions and really dive into what was ailing me. Unlike many doctors I have been to, her goal was not just to put a band-aid on the problem and send me away, she made me feel like she really wanted ot help me figure out the root of the problem and find a way to help my body. She was patient, kind and a good listener. Even with follow up appointments, she still took the time to find out how my symptoms were, asked about changes and asked more questions I was a bit skeptical on the acupuncture part of the healing process because I wasn't sure if I could handle the needles. I was quite impressed at how NOT SCARY the needles are how relaxed I felt during treatment. During the entire process she explained everything to me and how the needles were helping certain parts of my body. I have had previous experience with Chinese herbs so was excited to try those again. I highly recommend Dr. Kristina Elminoufi! She is kind, patient, funny, and really has a passion for healing. read more

This was my first time getting acupuncture and it was weird! Dr. Kim was super nice, took the time to ask about my injury and was very comforting. Since this was my first time she explained what she was doing and made me feel very relaxed (which was a surprise since there were needles in my knee/leg!). I went in for knee cap subluxation recovery help, my knee has been feeling weak and sore for a month now (insurance takes forever to see any doctors). Immediately after my appointment my knee feels stronger, I can walk upstairs with no pain!!! ( I literally couldn't do that yesterday). I will definitely be recommending Dr. Kim! read more

Trinity Acupuncture - Acupuncture!!!! Totally worth the visit! - Acupuncture Near Me - Torrance, California

My husband and I each see Dr. Kim for our individual aches and pains, I have migraines and with a couple of visits I've seen a drastic reduction in the frequency and severity of headaches. My husband has very painful thoracic outlet syndrome in his shoulders and neck, Dr. Kim's treatments have alleviated the pain. I have been to another acupuncture practitioner in the past, and I highly prefer Dr. Kim for her thoroughness, she addresses everything that ails you as much as she can and you don't get the feeling that she's pushing you for more treatments or trying to sell you stuff, she's focused on healing. read more

I met Dr. Kim a few months ago after trying various methods to alleviate my back pain. I must say this is the best decision I have made since then. My back pain is very minimal now and I am able to do things I have not been able to do in a very long time. Dr. Kim takes the time to explain everything she does and is always available, whether it be on the phone or through email. She always responds quickly and stays on top of your condition. I can tell you, without a doubt, that I would not be walking, if it weren't for Dr. Kim and Dr. Yong. I have been seeing Dr. Yong, as Dr. Kim had previously been on maternity leave. Very professional and friendly .. immaculate office and I am lulled to sleep at the end of the session. Dr. Yong knows how to pinpoint the issues and I leave the office re-energized. I had been bed bound for two months before using acupuncture. In my humble opinion, both doctors are miraculous. read more

The absolute best! My entire family comes here and we are so deeply thankful. We have been here for a variety of issues such as acid reflux, muscle pain (son plays college basketball), immunity boost, respiratory issue, the list goes on. They are the most honest practice. Incredibly honest, I will never forget my first visit. Dr Kim mentioned after a few session I would be okay. I was skeptical as much as I wanted to feel 100%. I though my condition was so severe. My life has changed for the best, thanks to Dr Kim! Grace and Lisa the office managers are very nice, patient and professional. I appreciate them accommodating my hectic schedule. They are busy but it doesn't surprise me because they truly are the best & worth the wait! Look no more you found the best, honest and caring acupuncturist! I am so happy with my results from Seeing Dr. Kim. I went to her with two issues: Acid Reflux and really bad tennis elbow. (I know, weird combination) my acid reflux is so much better that I've cut my prescription dose in half after just two treatments. She explained the connection between stress, my gut health and reflux. I really did not think my elbow would respond to acupuncture... I play way too much tennis and lift weights several times a week. Without taking weeks off to rest I didn't think I could get any relief. I'm so happy that my elbow is significantly better! Even without any rest days! Dr. Kim is very nice, takes her time with the treatments and explains things I can do at home to assist in treatment. I tend to ask a lot of questions and I've never felt rushed. Appointments run on time, I've never had to wait and her assistant is extremely nice and professional. read more

It's no surprise Trinity Acupuncture has a 5-star average. I have been coming here for over two years now, and every time i go back i realize the experience to be even better than what i remembered from the time before. Dr Kim leaves no stone unturned to make her patients feel better. The establishments truly makes you feel cared for with compassion in a professional setting. They care less about making money, and more about the well being of their patients. They make every effort to accommodate last minute requests if you have an urgency, and at the same time they'll be the first to tell you when you don't need additional therapy and self-care is sufficient. Pro tip: Use email to book appointments. Grace managing their office is super proactive in getting back in a snap, making it super convenient. G read more

I went to Dr. Kim years ago after I've tried almost every prescription meds for acid reflux to no success. After my visit with Dr. Kim, my acid reflux had almost 100% diminished. Also, my stress level and anxiety had lessened tremendously! I was so happy and surprised since I've been suffering for years and no western specialist doctor could help me. I recommend her to everyone. She is very patient and truly listens to what your ailments are. That's a sign of a good doctor. How else would they know how or what to treat unless they really want to help you. Thanks Dr. Kim!! read more

I've been going to acupuncturists for more than 35 years. When I moved to the South Bay, I tried several acupuncturists, but none were great until I found Trinity, via Yelp, about 7 years ago. Let me start by saying that I'm a SUPER hard grader. I work at a law firm and am responsible for hiring lawyers so I have to be super picky. So, when it comes to hiring someone to take care of me, I'm even tougher. I'm really busy and stressed out and don't have time or money to waste on someone or something that isn't the best. Dr. Kim is the BEST! I started looking for an Acupuncturist a few months ago when I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy (temporary paralyis of half your face brought on by stress). The doctors at Cedars gave me 1 week of steroids and told me to wait it out. That's really not helpful when you can't go out in public. I read online that Acupunture might help. I already believed in Acupunture because I had it during my chemo treatments for Ovarian Cancer. Unfortuanately, Dr. Ross who was wonderful much passed away a few years ago so I couldn't go to him. Dr. Ross was able to help eliminate almost all of the side effects associated with my Chemo therapy. I found Dr. Kim by googilng her. She immediately answered her phone and took the time to listen to me. She got me in for an appointment that same day. I left messages at a few other places but they never called back. They were probably too busy doing facials or mani/pedis since a lot of the acupunture places in Southbay seem to do more than Acupuncture which in my opinion is not a good sign. I immediately felt comfortable when I met Dr. Kim. She's patient, kind and understanding. Did I mention she's also really GREAT at what she does? I immediately started seeing results. I was able to start blinking my eye and my smile looked less crooked after a few sessions. Based on what I read online, I expected to be paralyzed from 3 - 9 months. Dr. Kim got me back to looking normal in 5 weeks. The Bell's Palsy is almost gone but I still go to Dr. Kim once a week for stress and digestion. I'm less stressed, less bloated and feel better. Go see Dr. Kim but don't take my 5 pm appointment on Thursdays! All the best. Selene read more

I've been to one other acupuncturist in the area, but I've just settled down and use Christy as my regular acupuncturist. I used to see her every week, and she would prescribe me herbs (pill form, not powder! yay!) that I would take 3 times a day with warm/hot water. i'm actually very non-compliant with powder forms and pay lots, while Christy's herbs only cost about $15-20 bucks a bottle. You would never call my conversations modest, so here I go continuing my pattern. I've had years worth of UTI's starting when I turned 26 (now almost 30). I'm a nursing student, so I know all the no-no stuff about wiping properly and certain sex positions, thongs, not going to the bathroom, etc. Partly my infections stemmed from having sex, but what prophylactically made it worse was the fact that I ate sweet stuff all the time and was constantly dehydrated and hardly ever peed. I'm just not a thirsty person, I tell you! It was bothersome and kept me running to my regular physician for antibiotics. Well, boo on that. Antibiotics wipes out all of the natural flora in my body that helps get rid of uti's at the same time as the bad bacteria. I knew I couldn't keep on doing this to my body and seeking alternative remedies was the best way to go. Also I had a problem with my menstrual cycle that I didn't know about. Apparently, my period was way too long and the cycle was also way too long. I've had ear infections, sinus pressure, severe allergies (my family has a hyperreactive immune response like hives over exercising or stress), eczema, GI bowel distress, and STRESS! Lots and lots of stress. I also study A LOT and occasionally have shoulder pain from hunching over my computer or books trying to study. It's been since June/July that I first started going to Christy and here are my results: 1) No more UTIs (my ultimate relief) 2) Shortened periods (down to only 4 days from 7) + regular 28 days from 34 3) No more persistent ear infections 4) Allergies are down to a minimum 5) Minimal eczema flare ups 6) No knots in shoulders 7) Waaayyy less stress than before. She's really the best! Super nice, easy to talk to, clean/relaxing rooms, and I always fall asleep during my appointments. :) Ahhh.... read more

I started seeing Christy a few years ago at her office in Orange (and now in Torrance). It's been several years that I've been receiving treatment for her, and I'm happy to say that I'm doing very well physically. I literally had bodily issues from head to toe...Plantar Fasciitis, shoulder/neck pain, gastrointestinal pain/issues, fatigue, stress, or sinus allergies. Christy has greatly helped me with these conditions. As for treatment, she is very gentle--I don't even feel the needles. And, I've been to many acupuncturists where the needles can cause major discomfort. Christy genuinely cares about your health, and she takes time to explain the treatment plan with you, which may include herbs, a diet plan, and, of course, acupuncture. This definitely beats visiting my "western" physicians where they would merely prescribe "toxic" medication, which only masks the symptoms...NOT fix them. Christy is my go-to-person when I have any health issues! read more

Went to Dr. Kim at Trinity Acupuncture for dizziness and headaches. I've been suffering from balance issues, for the past year and a half, without any relief. A friend recommend Dr. Kim, and this was my last hope, as vestibular therapy didn't work as well as I hoped. After my first session, about 2 days later I felt almost 100%z I had not felt so well in such a long time, that I had forgotten what it felt like. Dr. Kim had a treatment plan, and it's working. This is the first time I've tried acupuncture in my life and I highly recommend Dr. Kim. I wish I had found her sooner. read more
