Dr. Wonjoon Na is great! He's very professional and has a wonderful bedside manner. I started acupuncture because of severe back pain that made it hard to do basic things like bend over, get out of bed, or even get dressed. After just five sessions and some core exercises, I am finally pain-free. The difference is night and day--I highly recommend his services! It is much easier to text when booking an appointment. One session without insurance is $87. Double check if your insurance covers first. read more

I go here once a week, and it has made a huge difference for my back pain, neck pain, sciatica, and knee pain. It has also really helped with my stress, anxiety, burnout and sleep, so it's become an important part of my weekly routine. The acupuncturist is excellent and very skilled, and he runs a very professional practice. The office is clean, comfortable, and relaxing, and I always feel well taken care of. I highly recommend this place to anyone dealing with pain or stress. read more

I was referred by my primary care physician to Acu Wellness in Torrance, specifically Dr. Wonjoon Na for Acupuncture treatments a month ago and have been seeing him twice at week for pain in my neck and shoulders. I am already noticeably improved because of his expertise. This man knows what he is doing and, unlike some acupuncturists, he is a true professional. I have found him to be caring and conscientious, patient and thorough and with me and my condition. His clinic is clean and attractive. Also, there is no pressure here for further appointments unless wanted and warranted, which is nice. With my continuing improvement in mind, I will continue to see him once a week. I give him a well deserved 5 Star rating. Bob H. read more

My husband is a regular customer. Our previous acupuncturist wasn't covered by insurance and was very far away. So we were very relieved to find this place. It's both close to us and covered by insurance, so my husband can go more often. My husband comes here for his knee, shoulder and various other aches and pains from his Brazilian jiu jitsu hobby. read more

Doctor is very kind and helpful. He does cupping and acupuncture on me and I feel better after the procedure.

I would like to share my experience with Dr. Kim at Acu Wellness. I honestly do not write reviews but my experience needs to be shared. I made an appt with Dr. Kim (wife) for Fibroid issues. My first visit was to discuss acupuncture treatments and herbal tonics to address the issue. I was very pleased with her manner, she is kind and knowledgeable. I finished the acupuncture treatment which was to be $80 (this was quoted to me on the phone before my appt). When it was time to pay she gave me a bill for $542???? She said it included a month of herbal tonics. I was very shocked at the high price but just payed it. I picked up the herbs a week later and began taking them as directed. The herbs did not agree with my system, they made me nauseous, gave me indigestion and migraines. I mentioned this to her in the following weeks of acupuncture...she specifically advised to wait a bit after eating and take honey with them to see if that would help. It did not help so I stopped taking them. Today for my acupuncture appt. I brought the unused herbal packets back to her and told her I just could not take them...they still made me very ill. I asked if I could get some kind of credit or session instead since I spent over $500 for something that makes me so sick. She had the nerve to say that she NEVER advised me to wait and take honey with the herbs. That she would NOT take them back and would NOT offer credit in any form. So I walked out. I suggested she should have prescribed a 2 week amount to see if the herbs agreed with my system instead of a whole month supply. I was so offended, why in the world would I make something like that up? Her lack of compassion was astounding! read more

Ive been a patient of Dr. Joon for over a year now and will continue to be a regular at Acu Wellness. Ive seen Dr Joon for both acute pain and also for overall maintenance of my condition and he has been immaculate at what he does. I always find relief after my sessions at Acu Wellness- something that cannot be said of other acupuncturists Ive tried in the past! Dr Joon truly cares about the well-being of his patients- he listens to your concerns and addresses them with a combination of acupuncture, cupping and fire cupping. They accept insurance and make it a completely seamless and easy process for their patients. While I initially came for pain relief, I can honestly say that my overall health and well-being has improved since becoming a patient at Acu wellness. Thanks Dr Joon!! See you guys soon! read more

I've been coming here for a good 6 months. I see both the husband and wife. Both are very good and attention to detail. The wife does my gut health, acne, weight control and the husband does my hormone, immunity, pain. He also does the cupping for me also , which I believe helps me tremendously . Shame on me for not knowing how to spell their names. I do recommend them as they are skilled in what they do. read more

When I first entered the office it was very comforting and there was soft classical music playing in the background. I was greeted by Dr. Wonjoon who is a very soft spoken man. We talked for a few minutes about why I had come to Accu Wellness, then we proceeded to a very clean, cozy, dimly lit room for treatment. I have been experiencing lower back pain and headaches for quite some time and it was time to get some relief. I have had migraines since the age of 13. I have tried so many different treatments. Some helped but the headaches always came back. I decided to try acupuncture. I was so tired of drugs and just wanted something new to try and give me hope. I went through my insurance co. And Acu Wellness was the closest so I tried it. I have been a few times now and my headaches are getting fewer and more importantly, less painful. I started to notice that i did not need any medication because the pain was not bad. WOW that was an eye opener for me. I wanted it all gone. I am still seeing this Dr. And I love my progress. It has taken a few visits but once you get to talking with this wonderful acupuncturist, you realize you found a gem! I've been going here for a few month now and Dr. Joon is amazing! I had really bad nausea before and the acupuncture and cupping has been so helpful with clearing it. Ive also had really bad headaches which has calmed down significantly! I tried out fire cupping for the first time and I was kinda nervous, but it felt soooo good cuz he moves around the suction on your back with baby oil so it acts like a massage too My parents have noticed a difference in the amount of tension I've been carrying in my neck and shoulders so I say that's progress! Also, Dr. Joon is trilingual (English, Korean, and Japanese) so he's super helpful and patient if you're struggling with any language barriers FYI read more

I had a few ailments that have been troubling me for months. First, my left side as well as my right arm. I've tried everything, foam roller, ice, arm band, stretching, infrared sauna, Aleve, rest, and a variety of other homeopathic things. I went to the doctor and he recommended a steroid shot and I decided to give acupuncture a try instead. When I first arrived, Joon welcomed me into his clinic and it was very clean and quiet. He had me describe my symptoms and promptly knew what to do. After about the acupuncture he also suggested fire cupping, which I did as well. Note: Fire cupping is awesome! After a few sessions my major ailments went away! My insurance was difficult, so I paid out of pocket, and it was very reasonable and worth the price! I highly recommend this place for those who have pains and don't want to use pharmaceuticals or shots. Joon is very professional and knowledgeable. Give it a try! At the end of the day, results matter, no more pain! read more

I got to know Dr Joon during the Covid-19 period. I have to say I am very impressed with the clinic. He took the precaution to the next level. There is an UV machine for your masks. He would check your temperature admitting and you can see alcoholic through out the clinic. I am here because I hurt my back and I was referred by my doctor. I am here to do the acupuncture. Dr. Joon is a very patient doctor, he listened to my concern and then diagnosed to reassure that he was treating me properly. His hands are very skillful. I do not feel any pain when he put needle in my back and he is also very gentle when he pulls the needle out. I was treated with the cup, the needle and electric shock needle. My passion gradually reduced. I am very grateful for Dr. Joon read more

Acu Wellness is run by a husband and wife team with two locations; one in Torrance and one in Long Beach, each acupuncturist specializing in different techniques. Acute pain can often be permanently fixed within a few to several treatments. Chronic pain may not be completed cured, but it can be managed and certainly alleviated. I suffer from chronic osteoarthritis and spinal stenosis. I am a 61 year old male in good physical shape, but pain seriously dampens my life and I have had to give up tennis, running and other sports to avoid exasperating my pain levels. Going to acupuncture for me is like taking 1000 mg of Tylenol 4x/day, or 1000 mg of Naproxen (Aleve) or 3200 mg of ibuprofen. Acupuncture allows me to function with a pain level of 2 to 4 and NOT have to take any anti-inflammatory (NSAID) drugs which are not healthy for the kidney and liver, so in a sense, acupuncture will allow me to live longer. I was also on opioids for over 6 years and acupuncture helped me to get completely off of them and I have not taken any NORCO for over 8 months now. Acupuncture points stimulate the central nervous system releasing chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These biochemical changes help stimulate the body's natural healing abilities. On your intake, you will fill out a detailed health questionnaire that will allow them to determine what treatment to implement. In addition to treatment with needles, they also offer herbal supplements for issues such as weight loss, smoking, etc. and they offer cupping techniques. I would definitely recommend this place for treatment. It is not painful at all, the atmosphere is private and relaxing and the staff is extremely well trained and knowledgeable. Give it a try. read more
