Dr. Sam is amazing... During my first appointment I felt good vibes. He is very professional, kind & caring. He is very flexible with your schedule. He explained everything that was going on with my work injury & gave me some stretches to do after I left him. I love the machine the stretch your body. I said it's a mini roller coaster. But it helps.. Dr. Sam is not just a doc he is gets involved with his patients. He talks with you during your visit. And make you feel comfortable. read more

Highly recommend to be treated by Dr Sam if you're a police officer who is suffering with chronic back pain. I got hurt on duty and my city doctor suggested to have a back surgery. I was in so much pain it was too painful to put on my belt everyday. I felt miserable and I even consider looking into different career at some point. I've tried acupuncture and physical therapy but none of them worked. When I had my first session with Dr Sam, I already knew this was going to work for me!!! Dr Sam has this ''special machine'' to strech your back and it immediately worked!!!!! It's amazing!!!! My back felt so so so much better even after one session!!! I was so happy to finally find a treatment that ACTUALLY WORKS!! Dr Sam got skills!!! and he is very friendly and caring. He's good with communication too. I highly recommend this place!!! All the cops out there! Try this place if you're suffering with a horrible back pain... Trust me!!! read more

Today was my first visit. Met with Dr. Hoseim D.C. I highly recommend him. He worked on my lower back I was in pain and so sore. He took his time explaining what he was going to do and when I was done I really felt good. I have chronic neck and back pain. If you have neck and back pain go see him. read more

I have to say I was a bit skeptical going here, seeing all the 5-star reviews, but after I was treated I can say that they are right on point. He was amazing! From my first meeting you can tell they were interested in my well-being and wanted to help me feel better. Even after the first visit I started noticing a tremendous difference on my upper back with the PT they were doing on me. Dr. Sam knows his stuff and is a pleasure to be around, always in a good mood and doing follow up. asking "hey how was the treatment and that upper back" Together the whole team is doing a fabulous job. If my back acts up again, I am comforted knowing that I have this team I can go to for help. I highly recommended. read more

I was referred to Therapuetica for chiropractic purposes due to a work injury I sustained. I had been in pain for several months without any relief. Once I came to my appointments, Dr Sam did his magic and I started to experience some relief after my second session. The atmosphere is very peaceful and Dr Sam is nothing but amazing! Would definitely refer family and friends for his services. read more

Dr Sam worked on my toe that I had surgery several months ago. I would wake up every morning with pain when I first walked. After one treatment my morning pain was down 80 percent. Highly recommend Dr Sam and his staff. read more

I've suffered from adult acne for years and decided to give acupuncture a try. It has been a very pleasant experience. I was greeted with a smile from the moment I walked in and felt very comfortable considering it was my first time trying acupuncture. The process was painless and I felt so relaxed after the acupuncture. Min was very patient with me and made sure to check on me often to make sure I was comfortable. I've been going for about a month now and I can definitely see an improvement in my complexion and the redness has gone down a lot. The office is very clean and has a relaxing vibe. I highly recommend and I will continue to come back here for treatment. read more

Was sent here for Acupuncture. The person at the front who greeted me was very nice. I then met the acupuncturist. She too was very nice. Addressed what issues I wrote down on the form and made me feel comfortable and at ease. As I was leaving, that was when I met Dr. Sal. We didn't interact much so, I can't say much other than he seemed nice. I read that they offer massages so, I will definitely be returning for that as well. read more

This is a long overdue review for Therapeutica. Dr. Sal is a wonderful chiropractor. I was referred by my workers comp insurance for my neck and back injury. It's a much more holistic type of experience which I love. He is flexible and accommodating when it does not conflict with other patients. He has helped me heal my neck and back. He also helped when I ruptured my Achilles' tendon. Those injuries combined really hurt my back and neck since I was compensating for my leg. The acupuncturist, Min, is wonderful as well. I am a Taiwanese American born and raised in the US and have had traditional Chinese acupuncturists who believe that you should feel pain during acupuncture. She is not like that at all and she is gentle. It's an extremely relaxing environment. And for Bonnie, the therapeutic masseuse, she is wonderful. I would describe it as a combination of acupressure and deep tissue massage. And you should still tip the masseuse. :) Thank you Therapeutica for taking care of me. It's been several months since I've visited but today reminded me of how wonderful your services are to patients. read more

My first appointment and Dr Sam made me feel very comfortable. As he worked, he explained what he was doing and the body parts that it impacts which was very helpful. He went over some new stretches that have made a difference in a short Time and I'm looking forward to my next appointment. Definitely recommend! read more

My update is about Dr. Sal Kerkar: He is a delightful, positive, and highly experienced chiropractor! He treats his patients with respect and carries a sense of authority, knowledge, and optimism. His spinal adjustments are not terrifying and he communicates his vast knowledge of chiropractic care with a smile, intuitive listening, and taking the time to remember his patients. I have not had many chiropractors before, but I bet the majority out there can not be much better than Dr. Kerkar. read more

I moved into the South Bay 2 years ago and been looking for a good chiropractor. I've gone to ~5 and each had pros and cons that I ended up not staying with. One of them (off Hawthorne) made my issue worse and more focused on selling treatment packages rather than addressing actual issues. Dr. Sal and his team met my needs fully and has always been cordial, professional in all of my interactions. Dr. Sal has gone out of his way to accommodate my challenging schedule on multiple occasion and that has been extremely helpful for me. Dr. Sal knows his bones and joints, the right amount of pressure to loosen the aches. What I also like is his holistic approach in combining acupuncture and massage that really drives the overall effect of the treatment. I typically has the first adjustment session with Dr. Sal to work out the 'kinks'. I then move to a different room with Min the acupuncturist. I am seasoned with acupuncture and Min is very gentle and alleviates alot of my nature fear of needles. Last session ends with a massage that is the cake on top of the treatments. One stop shop! I would recommend to plan for ~1.5 hours if getting all 3 treatments, don't think it's necessary to get all 3. Again, Dr. Sal is very flexible and would recommend the appropriate treatment based on needs. read more

I have seen Dr. Sal several times over the last 2 years and have always gotten so much relief from my chronic back and neck issues. I went in yesterday after (sadly) a long time away, and was not disappointed. I got an outstanding massage from a therapist that is clearly very skilled. She has extraordinarily strong hands, so don't let her petite stature fool you! During my session we talked about Reiki (which I am truly an advocate of), and she incorporated that into my treatment. She really tuned in to my specific "troubled" areas, even though she had no idea what was going on in my life. I was very, very impressed. read more

Dr. Sam and Lalita were great. They were both very welcoming and willing to stay after hours to see me :) I got a massage by Lalita, and it was probably the best massage I've ever had. I've been to so many massage places and would get 60-90 mins massages but I always felt like the massage therapist would rush with each body part that they massaged. Lalita took her time and I thought she was very thorough - what was a 50 min massage felt a lot longer. I plan on going back again for more massages, and trying out acupuncture. They're also great with working with my insurance and keeping the cost affordable! read more

Dr. Sal offers the most comprehensive chiropractic services available. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a bottle of water, a reassuring smile, and incredible service. I first went to Dr. Kerkar on the recommendation of my uncle, who had an amazing experience with him. My issue was related to my posture and consistent headaches. Apart from treatment, which involved both chiropractic services and acupuncture, Dr. Sal gave me exercises that I could do on my own, which significantly improved my issues. I always look forward to the beginning of every treatment, as it usually involves the machine with the warm towels that gently massages your entire back for 10-15 minutes. Awesome experience and very relaxing! Dr. Sal's approach is very holistic (mind-body-spirit), which resonates very strongly with my core beliefs. He has a keen understanding of how everything in the body is inter related, and most importantly, he understands that everyone's needs are unique and everyone's symptoms are uniquely derived. I have recommended Dr. Sal to my family, friends, and colleagues and will continue to do so for his exceptional service. To Dr. Sal, each of his patients are special, and you really get a sense of this when you see him. Well worth a visit (or two, or three, or twenty)!! read more

I'm so happy with Dr. Sal's chiropratic treatment. He's also a soft tissue specialist. I came for lower back pain, Dr. Sal used different modalities, such as spinal decompression, soft tissue techniques among others. Final statement, he's approach was different with other doctors. They also offer massage and acupuncture. Go and try! read more

My first appointment with Dr. Sam went amazing. I was greeted by his massage therapist and I felt very comfortable from the start. I made an appointment due to pain that I still am having after a car accident that occurred last year. Dr. Sam helped me understand where my pain was coming from and what might be causing the pain. He went into detail about how the neck and spine worked, and kept me in the loop with every treatment. He is very flexible and came in on a Saturday to treat me, he cares very much about his patients well being. Dr. Sam showed me many stretches that I can do at home to help release the pain in my neck and back. I am very excited to continue to return to Therapeutica in hopes to heal my damaged areas. read more

I had an extremely positive experience at Therapeutica for the following reasons: 1. Dr. Sam was able to see me on a last minute request and took steps to facilitate my visit to his clinic. He is a genuinely caring, calm and professional technician and is not condescending with his knowledge which is rare in the medical field. His treatment helped me much and his follow up advices and recommendations were helpful. 2. His massage therapist is excellent and provides an additional dose of relief. 3. The clinic itself is welcoming and offers a quiet and clean zen inspired environment. Without being pushed into it, I made a follow-up appointment. I definitely recommend Therapeutica and the more holistic approach Dr. Sam practices in providing chiropractic care that extends beyond the traditional expectations. read more

Recently I returned from a challenging cycling trip to the French alps. A few months prior to the trip I had been suffering from chronic lower back and hip problems, causing much discomfort, mostly during my cycling workouts. To Dr. Sal and his staff, many thanks for the treatments. After 6 days of cycling in the French alps with a total climbing of 28,000 ft. I rode and climbed mountains totaly free of any back or hip issues. I highly recommend Dr. Sal at Therapeutica for treatment. read more

Went to go see Dr. Sam after searching thoroughly for a good chiropractor. Compensating for my financial difficulties, he offered a cheaper alternative AND provided me with the best care and solutions for my lower back pain. Not only does Dr. Sam care about his patients, he shares his knowledge and takes a step-by-step solution to heal injuries. Very much recommended! read more

I got a KGB deal for a deep tissue massage here ($25 instead of the normal $85), which was too good to pass up. Wasn't sure what to expect, but I had the best massage of my life from Yvette! I highly recommend her! Wasn't super impressed with the facility, but it was adequate. The parking lot was under construction so I had to park on the street. The walls were super thin and I could hear people talking in the waiting room while I was getting massaged. Also, the music in the room came from an ipod or clock radio, so it was a lot of random French music instead of the usual soothing sounds you hear during a massage. Don't know if I'd pay $85 for it, but it was more than worth it for $25! read more

I highly recommend this office. What makes this place particularly good is the personalized boutique care they offer. I've had chronic problems with my back for years and like every thing in life I've experienced good and bad care. This place is at the top. I've been coming here for a few months, and Dr. Sam has been amazing. I'm pain free and feel better than I've felt in years and my energy and activity level is very high. I came here for chiropractic and acupuncture, and both are excellent. Scheduling appointments is easy, Dr. Sam follows up with me personally and keeps close attention of my progress and plan. I paid for some of the service that was not covered by my insurance and it was very reasonable. Basically they took very good care of me, and I'm really appreciative for it. I would send my family here. read more

I have used Dr. Sal for several years. Unlike the typical 'stack em and crack em' chiropractic mills I've used in the past, Dr. Sal spends a great deal of time at each visit working on my spine issues and I always receive a fine adjustment. His office handles the insurance paper work leaving me with a small co-pay. Simply put, I get hassle free, hands on, great adjustments. read more

"It's even better than I EVER expected it to be!" That's what one of my daughters said after her treatments here. I personally started treatments with Dr. Sal last fall when I had excruciating pain in my shoulder and numbness all the way down my arm. Like a previous reviewer, my GP prescribed painkillers and muscle relaxers that did nothing really for me. Tests showed I had 2 bulging disks. Dr Sal was able to get me back up and running in less time than it took me to jump through all the typical "insurance hoops". He saved me, really... the pain was all consuming and it was difficult to function on a day to day basis. I also began acupuncture in the office and Min has been great! I've seen incredible results with each of them independently and especially in combination. A few months ago my teenage son was in a car accident and I brought him in to see Dr. Sal for a good once over. My 5 year old daughter has suffered sinus issues from the day she was born. We decided it was time to see a Dr. about allergies. After buying the $70 worth of pharmaceuticals prescribed by the specialist, our daughter would NOT take the nasal sprays or other daily medicine. I asked Dr. Sal if there was anything he could do. I brought her in and after 3 appointments, for the first time in her life, shes able to breath through her nose. AMAZING! I'm so grateful!! My husband finally met Dr. Sal for the first time yesterday after suffering a pretty bad "tweak" in his neck. My husband is now a believer as well. Lastly, with all my successes, I've been able to easily convince my mom and dad to begin acupuncture with Min. See, you can teach old dogs new tricks! My whole family now sees Dr. Sal and/or Min and we are all thrilled with our experiences. The office is small but has everything you need. read more

I have been coming to see Dr. Sal and his helpful staff due to an injury and the treatments that i have received have been helping me with my severe pain. Dr. Sal is a great chiropractor he is very positive and is really concerned about each individual specific clients needs to help them get back to normal everyday activities. In conjunction with his chiropractic experience he has an elite staff from a very great Acupuncturist to pinpoint troublesome areas and message therapists on hand to target muscles and joints pains. I would recommend anyone that is in pain to make an appointment with his office to try it for yourself and start your way to a better quality of life... read more

I have scoliosis and have been going to Sal for a few years now. I honestly recommend him to anyone I come in contact with who even utters the words back and pain in my presence. He is amazing. I have gone to many different back doctors/spinal surgeons and chiropractors and massage therapists in my life and nothing compares to the way that he treats patients. First off- he does not use an activator (for those of you who are unfamiliar it is a tool that helps with spinal manipulation) I much prefer manual manipulation since he is actually feeling your spine and making certain that everything is in alignment. He begins your treatment with a soothing roller coaster table massage (not really but it is a roller that you lay on that rolls up and down your spine..it's a heavenly way to get your spine ready for the adjustment). Then he moves you to another room where you lay on a special table that assists with the adjustment process. It's just a truly wonderful way to maintain spine health. I recently had a portion of my rib cage get/fall out of alignment; I honestly cannot describe the pain I felt. It was like a knife stabbing you through the back. I e-mailed Dr. Sal and he got me in immediately. He was able to eliminate the pain and tell me what had happened within 5 minutes. You just can't beat that!! His adjustments are the best! I am so grateful to have found a chiropractor (finally) that I love and allows me to schedule appointments via e-mail. He is the best there is- I would recommend him to anyone and everyone! My husband, who is not a big believer in chiropractic care actually really loves Dr. Sal. This says a lot! He is good for the raving fan of chiropratic care and the non beliver. He will help bring your body back into balance. :) read more

I had my 1st visit with Dr. Sam today and I thought he was very professional and very informative about my condition and proposed treatment. Dr. Sal is outstanding!!! I am extremely thankful to have met such an amazing chiropractor that has helped me understand the body and why it is so important to take care of my overall health, including my neck, spine, nutritional diet, exercise, daily vitamins, and lifestyle. I have been to several chiropractor's and there's absolutely no comparison. I suffer from bulging disc's in my lower back and neck pain for years. Dr. Sal used a completely different way of natural healing therapy. He uses various manual therapy techniques along with hot stones surrounded by calming meditation music. Dr. Sal is very easy going and definately takes pride in making sure each of his patients achieves optimum health and overall wellbeing. If you are looking for a chiropractor you can trust and respect, than I guarantee you will love Dr. Sal! I highly recommend him to all my family and friends. He is simply AMAZING!! read more

I came to Therapeutica because of shoulder and neck pain. I tolerated the pain for a couple years and didn't think too much of it until I started having migraines a few times a week . My first session with Dr. Sam was extremely relieving, comfortable and I don't know why I didn't come to Therapeutica sooner. Dr. Sam was attentive, he listened to me and knew exactly what to do to relieve the pain. He guided me through each procedure on what he was going to do and what it would do for me. On top of that, he educated me on stretches I should be doing everyday to relax the muscles. Every session after the first was more and more a journey of healing and I am forever grateful for Dr. Sam's help. His focus on the wellbeing of the body and mind created a positive and pleasant experience for me and I would highly recommend Therapeutica to all my family and friends. read more

I hurt my lower back very badly two weeks ago. I was unable to get out of bed unassisted and I had to take pain killers to make the pain bearable. What was worse was I was unable to feel my left leg. Dr. Sal was recommended by a friend of mine. I was desperate so I did a walk in in the morning and Dr. Sal was kind enough to squeeze me in. Dr. Sal worked on my lower back for 40 minutes and by the time he was finished I was able to feel my leg again. Amazing! The stiffness and pain in my lower back had lessened drastically as well. After my session with Dr. Sal, I had an acupuncture session with Min. Min is very gentle with getting the needles in, so it doesn't hurt (at least not to me!) Before leaving the office, Dr. Sal checked with me again to see if I was feeling better. I thought that was very nice. My lower back is almost all better now and the numbness in my left leg is almost all gone. Yay! Dr. Sal also teaches you stretches and exercises you can do at home to aid with healing and prevent future injury. I highly recommend Dr. Sal if you need chiropractic care. read more

I bought a $25 massage at this place through KGB Deals, (value $85), and was very pleasantly surprised at how good it turned out to be. I've had many massages in my life, and this one rates one of the best. My therapist was Yvette, a small, unassuming girl with small hands, who said, "You wanted deep tissue, correct?" Skeptically I replied, "Yes please", wondering how this tiny thing could possibly have the strength. But to my delight, she was amazing. I usually don't like my legs massaged, but because this was a new place I didn't say anything, and I'm glad I didn't. Even the leg massage was great. She seemed to know just how to do it to give me the most benefit. My barometer in rating massages is whether or not I get into "the zone", and this time there was no doubt, I zoned out to the max. Still feeling the benefits as I write this. Ahhhhh...... I would highly recommend Yvette at Therapeutica to anyone. And I discovered they take my medical insurance for massages! So I think I'll be returning there alot. My next appointment is a week from Wednesday. ;-) read more
