The installation was done well, per the city inspector. FloEnergy's customer service is terrible, though. If there are any issues at all, it takes 5+ phone calls to get it resolved. If they say they are coming to fix an issue, they don't right away. You have to call many times, get many promises, and finally it may eventually happen if you stay on top of it. Our system has been running for about a month, but the reporting through the Enphase computer isn't giving us any data on our usage, as we were promised. Apparently the system never got fully commissioned (per Enphase) and we were directed to FloEnergy as the installer. I called and spoke to our Project Manager, Jordan, on Feb 17th, 2023, and he promised to get someone out here on Feb 20th 2023, but even if he did, our system is still not reporting any usage. Between the cost of the system and what we pay Duke, we are paying more for electric than we were before. I didn't even bother leaving a message when the customer support line goes to VM. They never call back anyway. So if you go with FloEnergy, be prepared to hire an assistant to do any followup, because FloEnergy apparently doesn't have a customer service system in place. I mentioned it at least 2X that the customer service is a fail, in previous conversations with them, and I want this to work and be able to recommend them. But...I don't have time to be their customer service for them when their install isn't working. Supposedly our system is working despite no reporting being available. But I just have to take their word for it, at this point. Planning on getting solar? I recommend looking for a company that has their customer support system set up for all the issues that crop up after it's installed, and you're on the hook for a ton of money. WATCH OUT!!! I signed a Lease Agreement with this company yesterday and formally got out of it in less than 24 hours. You have 10 days to terminate the Agreement in writing via email if you ever come into contact with this company too. So FLOEnergy is in bed with Palmetto Solar and the leasing agency GoLightReach. FLOEnergy sales reps knock on doors trying to sell Solar for these other overheads because they make a commission and get contracted to do the install/job as their third party workers. I was originally impressed by the FLOEnergy sales pitch (Representative was named Colby) but the horrified by the actual terms of the contract after carefully reviewing what I just signed. (I ashamed I signed anything in the first place). I was told they'd install the solar panels at no expense to me, their work was gaurenteed and insured and if anything happened to my panels or my roof they had my back for 25 years and I was locked in at an amazing 2.99% rate where they gaurenteed was a fair price per kw of my usage that would beat the big bad TECO energy company because of TECOs price per kw inflation history. Here's the thing, the value of the total panels was approx $35k but at the end of my 25 year agreement I'd be $70k in the hole because their 2.99% interest rate is COMPOUNDING. Plus I'd own nothing and THEY got to keep the tax rebate and the energy I was producing goes back to TECOs power grid where it does me zero good as the homeowner. If there's a power outage during a FL hurricane, I'd still be without power regardless of all my panels. What was most offensive was the yearly price break down where it seems all fine and dandy up front in year 1, but by year 25 your bill to them inflated by 100+% and you'd be paying the most at a point where the solar panels would be MOST DEGRADED! Doing a Solar Leasing Agreement is NOT the way to do Solar. Stay away from this company. If you want to do Solar, buy the $35k panels yourself, claim your 30% back energy rebate on it, the panels themselves have manufacturer warrantys as would whoever you paid to do the install itself. You'd out $24.5k and making your own energy with no energy bill to TECO aside the mandatory monthly hookup charge of $13. If I had kept my Agreement with FLOEneergy for $70k, they would have made more than $40k off me and I'd own nothing and my roof and performance of my panels would be at their mercy. So every review I've left for Flo Energy is gonna say the same thing as far as the shoulder went everything went smoothly. The roofer they chose was liquid roofing they were horrible, I blame Flo Energy and liquid roofing for not improving my situation, after a new roof is put on, I had several leaks which they came out and repaired then we had a huge rain and a leak in my bedroom. I contacted Flo Energy several times for them to get the contractor to come back out and fix the issue which they did not respond. told me it's not the responsibility because they're not a roofing company, even though the roofing company was hired by them, there were a couple other issues with liquid roofing. My gutter on my back porch was left with about an inch gap between the soffit in the roof. They did come out and fix that. There was also a leak around one of my sunlight in my garage they did the big brown spot in my bedroom from their leak has not been resolved. Flo Energy did send a representative about and he said definitely there was a leak in the roof. He could see it. He was coming though Flo Energy really dropped the ball with that and did not do anything they said that the roofing company would not even respond to them, I consider this fairly shotty and poor business practice read more

If i can give below 1 star i would. They put solar panels up right to roof gutters and cage of pool. No one can blow or clean out gutters without walking on panels. Which installers say go ahead manufactures, and warranty say no, gutter cleaners wont do it. We asked them to move panels before we sign anymore papers, they wont. They were hired through Sunnova Solar. Flo energy says Sunniva has to say move panels, Sunnova says Flo energy has to move panels. STAY AWAY FROM THESE LIARS! My initial Google review: Fortunately, I'm not a customer of Flo Energy. I was an innocent bystandard driving trying to merge on the highway (when I merge, I drive to the end of said merge lane so I don't stop the flow of traffic and get rear ended) and the man driving a black pick up truck with a Flo Energy trailer on US Highway 19 in Clearwater, FL decided I didn't deserve to merge on the highway for some weird reason, drove up on top my small vehicle flicking me off and continuing to do so once he got next to me. I am a young girl and I felt very scared the way he was acting- road rage for sure. I left a message to report this behavior to the company but they ignored it, so I am leaving a review here. I know I wouldn't want this man at my home with such hostile behavior nor would I like to give money to a careless company who doesn't follow up regarding a situation as such. Merging on a highway is actually in fact necessary and it wasn't to hurt your employees very SMALL ego. My suggestion is to train your employees not to act like uncivilized animals when your company name is being displayed. How horrible for your repuation. I could not regret this any more than I do. We have had our solar for 1 year 4 months, and every month except for 2 months with solar bill plus power bill paid over $100 each month more than prior to solar. Called a rep several times.... no return calls. What a flipping waste of money and holes in my new roof..... had someone else look and they said we were not given enough panels to accommodate our reported usage.... but I am not buying more of this garbage, they should have figured it out correctly at sale time to go with BS sales pitch. read more

DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM! I have all my original documents. I signed a lease for the original 18 panels. The work was completed and then I asked for 9 more panels to cover my whole roof to make it look even. I was told by my salesman that the new loan agreement (which was with a different company) was for the original 18 + 9 new panels. I signed the new documents and then discovered it was a lie! The original loan supposedly timed out AFTER they did the installation and the new loan for more money only covered the original 18 panels. No one would help me resolve this issue. Kyle was very professional and explained everything. Our panels went in quickly, however the paperwork for us to receive our credits didn't get processed for 9 months. To date we haven't received the lost credit for that time frame and no one from Flo Energy has reached out to correct this. The power company is of no help either. I would have given more stars as I'm happy with the panels however for the loss of 9 months worth of energy credits and having to pay both a high energy bill and the solar panel bill, they lost stars. read more

My husband and I were very interested in Solar Panels. We got the sales pitch and agreed and then got informed of a 25 year - $70,000 loan! We moved forward but didn't feel comfortable. 35 days in; we did comparison shopping. PES Solar educated us, gave us a quote on more panels, better kilowattage and much lower price (along with explaining the tax rebate). We are canceling our contract with Flo Energy. Hopefully it will go okay. By the way, your solar panels will never give you money back. Systems are designed to support your energy usage for your home. You "bank" any extra wattage for higher usage months when your system will not produce enough kilowatts. read more

2 of them knock on our door in the middle of dinner 7:38 pm and when I don't answer they continue knocking. They use the old line of we just installed solar on your neighbors house. When I just looked at them the girl (Austin I think she said her name was) says on you don't know your neighbors. First mistake in sales, don't be a condescending **. I told them I wasn't interested as polite as I could be considering they shouldn't be knocking at my door at that time of night. I then asked them if there were SELLING solar to which they confirmed that they are. I then pointed at my NO SOLICITING sign and the guy says we have a right to contact people. NO you don't have any right to come onto my property uninvited nor do you have a right to blatantly disregard a NO SOLICITING sign. Even if I was interested in solar, I would never use this company based solely on the lack of professionalism and respect for the homeowner.
