I am elated about the repair service Douglas Manufacturing provided at a reasonable price!! Justin and Chris modified a sliding glass door that 3 other companies said "it couldn't be done". I have been living with the door problem for more than 10 years. Justin and Chris solved the issue. They also modified a door lock that had been giving me fits for years. Douglas Manufacturing is also replacing several window screens for me as well. Their prices are very reasonable. I wholeheartedly recommend Douglas Manufacturing for your sliding door (and window) service as well as window screen replacement/repairs. read more

I live in a high rise condo on Clearwater Beach. Because our balconies are being repaired I needed to remove my slider door and side panels. Douglas Mfg. put my doors in about 5 years ago and did a remarkable job. I called them to remove my doors and subsequently re-install them. The price was more than fair. The work was none quickley and efficiently and the workers were very neat and tidy. They were friendly and went above and beyond to respect me and my home. My cooling bill came down about $40/month after installation and the outside noise is greatly diminished. I highly recommend Douglas Mfg for doors and windows. Ann B read more

I ordered new windows (large project) several months ago (2/27/2024). They have been installed this week (June 3-7, 2024) I met the owner Mark Miller initially. The two main installers are polite and very hard-working young men. They did a beautiful job and left the place clean. I would hire this company again in a heartbeat. They've done a number of my neighbors homes too. read more

Douglas Manufacturing - Old window (circa 1960) ; new window 2024- Awesome! What a difference!! - Windows Installation Near Me - Clearwater, Florida

It was a big decision to replace our sliders and windows. Seven months ago we placed our order for 3 large sliders and one window. Douglas held to that date which is amazing in itself. Both the owner Mark and Ken answered our questions and naturally for a large purchase itself you do have a lot of questions. Install week was last week and the crew led by Mario did an amazing job! Professional, thorough, and following all our condo rules got the bulk of the work done in 3.5 days. After the inspection, Ken was back in less than 2 hours to finish the trim caps. The install went better than expected and the new sliders and windows are wonderful. We also hired them to take down our hurricane shutters which was a good decision on our part as it is also a big job! read more

Our 3 slider doors that were installed in November of 2023, over a year ago, and are still left faulty since install. Douglas Manufacturing doesn't stand behind the product they sell and will point the finger at PGT manufacturing and guess what they do...point the finger back at Douglas Manufacturing. This is long story short. The bottom line is our very expense slider glass doors do don't function properly and this has been since they day they left the install. After many attempts to get this resolved and was unable to, hopefully I can save someone a bad choice that maybe regretful, such as ours. read more

They've installed 7 windows for me a few weeks ago. I am satisfied with the job. They've showed up as promised and did a good job. I've also used them for a window repair service job. I am satisfied with that job as well. Altogether, it's a very organized company with reasonable prices and skilled and friendly workers. read more

First, let's say I got duped by the cookie guy window company. Last December (2022) I agreed on having fourteen (14) windows replaced on my home in Redington Shores with PGT storm windows. The salesman advised me that after I put 50% down that I would get an installation date in two months. Not hearing from anyone after I gave them a huge deposit; I called the company and was advised that the install would be done sometime in June. Feeling like I got one pulled over on me, I waited until June arrived. Still, no one contacted me from the company. After calling them, I was then advised that the install date was still not scheduled...but that it would be very soon. I demanded my deposit back and after going back and forth through several different people - received my money back. Then I was fortunate enough to contact Douglas Manufacturing for a quote. The owner of the company, Mark Miller came right out and gave me a no pressure quote from the family-owned business. To my surprise, for the same exact PGT impact resistance windows it was approximately one third less than the cookie guys. Three months later Mr. Miller's crew of two very nice installers and a project manager came and installed my windows in a week. I had a specialty window (Garden three-sided window over the kitchen sink) that needed some fabrication by the project manager, which was done in sort order thereafter. I usually don't write reviews, but I was so impressed by the price and the professionalism by Douglas Manufacturing that I felt compelled to give this honest assessment to help other homeowners researching for the right business for window replacement in the Tampa Bat area. I hope this helps... read more

I have used Douglas Manufacturing in Clearwater numerous times, both for my rental properties, as well as my home. I had numerous screens redone for my rental properties. Their prices are very competitive. Rodney, who works in the showroom is very knowledgeable with all types of windows and has helped me with repairs and adjustments of all types of window hardware in the rentals. I had Douglas Manufacturing service the sliding glass doors in my Florida room, that were dragging on the floor. Arranging a quick service appointment was no problem and they made the sliding doors slide like new in no time at all. Douglas Manufacturing offered me great pricing on hurricane impact thermal pane windows that keep the heat out of my home. Josh, Mike and Mario did an outstanding job in a timely fashion. Everything was cleaned up perfectly and all old materials and debris was swept up and carted away. I was in the Pinball and Amusement business for 25 years. Great company, super, knowledgeable staff. They replaced our back sunroom 4 fixed windows and French doors with a great sliding 3 pane doors and screen (it's gotta cool off SOMETIME!) They also fixed our existing old windows, replacing hardware and even an antique glass from a "lawyer" cabinet that broke. Highest recommendation! read more

I had a great experience with Douglas Manufacturing after finding them through PGT's website. I just had 4 windows replaced last week - two double hung with white grids per my HOA and two sliding windows. Install went flawlessly. The two installers were very friendly, covered all furniture/TV's/Beds, and cleaned up after themselves. They also took the time to re-teach me how to open/clean the double hung and sliders. Regarding price, they were very competitive as I had 7 window companies come out along with conversations over the phone with an additional 4 companies. They weren't the cheapest, but the cheapest companies didn't use PGT which was non-negotiable to me. They had the least "car salesman" approach of all the companies that came out. It was actually the owner that visited my home and quoted me! They were the most straight shooting company. They also offer 3% off if you pay by cash or check. They were prompt with submitting the permit request to Pinellas County, scheduled the county to come out and inspect after install, and then came back to clean the windows and put in the finishing pieces that couldn't be installed in order for the inspector to prove they were hurricane proof via PGT stickers. I couldn't be happier with my new hurricane proof PGT windows thanks to Douglas! read more

Douglas Manufacturing did an absolutely flawless, beautiful job of replacing our old 1960s windows with their hurricane impact windows. But beyond that, they tore out the back wall of the condo, rebuilt the mullet wall and a side wall that took the place of one of the 4 windows in the room. They installed our new door as well and without question, we are going to see this room pay for itself as it blocks the Florida heat perfectly. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves as well. Great company, great products and great workers! Can't say enough good things about them and the job they did! Highly recommend them! read more

I have a Stanek Sliding door and they no longer do business in Florida. I contacted Douglas Mfg to see if they could repair the locking device on the door. The parts are hard to find. They agreed to repair the door when another company did not want to deal with the repair. Justin and Mark were able to order the part and were very professional and knowledgeable in repairing the slider door. I give them high praise and would recommend the company for many reasons. They are the best and I thank them for their great work. The work was done last August and I am now just getting to sing the praise of their work. Steve Vogel read more

We requested a bid to replace 2 windows in our condo and had to call back 3 times and no one had the information . Finally I got a hold of the president Mark Miller , who did the bid, said he wasn't going to do the job since it's on the 18th floor? He knew we were on the 18th since he personally did the bid , Ok if that's the case , never had the courtesy to call me back ? And the amazing part , he's the president? I had used this company before and his installers are great . The company obviously needs to review the qualifications of their president . The sad part is , they do a lot of work in this condo in the past . Makes no sense . !! Customer service at its worse read more

We met with Mark Miller at Douglas to discuss sliding door and window replacements. After visiting another firm, we knew we wanted to do business with Mark and his employees. A cohesive group, each employee could answer questions as needed and responded quickly. Ken, which we refer to as the foreman, did an outstanding job on installation. He solved problems and returned to fix and adjust final items before and after the county permit was approved. The crew was polite, friendly, responsive, and cleaned up after work each day, We absolutely recommend Douglas Manufacturing for door and window orders and install. We will certainly share that recommendation with our friends. And by the way, we love our new doors and windows! Thank you Mark, Ken and crew for an outstanding experience. Well, it was time to bite the bullet and replace our 35-year old metal sliding doors and windows in our Madeira Beach condo. We interviewed 4 contractors - three were selling the same FL-made PGT custom windows & doors. We had seen evidence of sloppy installation in other condo units, so we wanted to be sure to hire a contractor that would provide professional results. Mark, the owner of Douglas Mfg, was low-key and sincere during his visit. We chose Douglas Mfg and we are so glad that we did. When the time came for condo board approval, Mark went out of his way to satisfy their requests. Their lead installer, Ken did an outstanding job. He takes pride in his professional results and has the breadth of experience to overcome the hiccups that invariably come with each installation. The finished results are nicer than we anticipated. We are very pleased with our new PGT sliding doors and windows, but more importantly, we are pleased that we hired Douglas Mfg, Clearwater. read more

No stars!!! They have no compassion. They broke a piece of metal off my great grandmothers frame and didn't bother to keep or find it. When we called and asked for it and told them we were on our way to get it, they said they'd look for it. When we got there they weren't looking and the big guy working out back started swearing at me while I was crying and looking on the floor so I swore back and was asked by the owner to leave or he would call the police. NEVER use them for anything important. Use them for vinyl crap windows and you should be ok. read more

I just had Douglas Manufacturing in today again and they were great. They came out this am and had not gotten the message I wouldn't be home till late afternoon so they made an adjustment in their schedule and came back at 2:45 pm. They are in demand so it will take about three weeks for them to get out. Their service call is $100 plus parts which is fair. Our sliding glass door was rubbing on the bottom. J.R., Rodney's son another great employee & Mark Miller, the owners son & the owner is amazing too were very knowledgeable and knew exactly what they were doing. They diagnosed the problem immediately. They put a new SS wheel on the one side of the sliding glass door. They were professional, had nice personalities and were polite as they took their shoes off on our white floors with no problem. I have been dealing with this company for over three (3) years and they are wonderful. The owners & employees goes above & beyond for you. We have 3 sliding glass door units in our home. The owner Mark Miller has referred me to other wonderful business owners for other construction projects that are not sliding glass door related and all have been equally amazing and did excellent workmanship.
