After only 2 years our Karoly doors are being replaced. They leak. Very poor quality and install. I would avoid Karoly Windows and Doors. They don't support their products. The quote we received was very fair and we had other quotes to compare to, it was cheaper and we were able to get more done than with other companies. The county inspector said they love when they get jobs from Karoly, because they do a fantastic job there normally are no issues with the quality of their work. The workers were super friendly even being so kind to our child who loved watching them work. BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Told me Windows would be in in 12 weeks and it took over a year to get them while they held 50% deposit for over a year. When they finally did do the install 2 of the 3 window panes they installed were damaged and broken. They told me I had to pay them in full for the job and that it was a "Warranty" issue that I need to take up with Simonton. I told them I would gladly pay them in full when the completed the job by install 3 non-broken/damaged windows. I still have 2 broken window paines and this unscrupulous company has put a lien on my house. UPDATE: Everything I stated is accurate and true. Karoly Windows appears to be putting forth a false narrative to save their rating. Karoly installers told me it would be 4-6 weeks to replace the 2 broken/damaged window panes they installed - FALSE! It has been over 6 weeks and I have not gotten a single updates or status from Karoly Window. The only thing I have heard from Karoly is the claims they made in this review. Last night I called Simonton, and the Simonton representative told him that no claim has been filed, no replacement sashes have been ordered, and no service technician is scheduled to come out. Karoly just installed two sets of new storm-resistant sliding glass doors at my house. Karoly is a gem of a contractor. They did everything great, and by the book: contracting, permits, inspections, etc. They gave me all the documents I needed to get HOA approval. They found the perfect doors for my house. They kept in touch regarding delivery dates. Then Andy and Ernesto from Karoly came and installed the new doors. These two gentlemen are consummate professionals. They were polite, friendly, efficient, and highly competent. They did a sterling job. I can't recommend them highly enough. One usually encounters a range of quality in dealing with contractors. I can say with total confidence that I would trust Karoly with any job it is willing to do. The house we picked this spring was amazing however, being situated on a golf course and having elderly owners precede us made an upgrade to the window and door process necessary. We reached out to several companies for quotes. Karoly was middle of the road for price but nearing the top on quality product and available reviews. We decided that Karoly was the company for us. Karoly measured our house, gave us a quote and passed us to Cynthia who completed our preorder and scheduling. The windows arrived with no problem and were installed over a 3 day process. (It's a big house). The team was timely and polite, they were also honest though an accident resulted in sprinkler damage the team was fully communicated the mishap and fixed the issue. After the team had left one of the many hurricane systems swept through the area. We noticed one of the windows leaking we called Karoly they came out and fixed the issue as soon as the rain had stopped. We liked this company for the transparency, the efficiency, the cost, the follow up care. We can confidently recommend them to anyone in the area needing quality window services. read more

UPDATED BELOW! I could really mark it down to a one star now! Not the 5 star I expected. After waiting 6 months for windows, one of them did not fit. Miraculously, they searched around and found one in a warehouse and was able to install it, however, it didn't have a screen. Karolys' office representative ordered a screen and I was advised that it would take 30 days to have it rushed to me. Weill it took 60 days and it was also the wrong size. I forgot to mention that 2 of the 3 windows failed the initial inspection by the city. I live in a condo community and some of my other neighbors have had no issues, so I am surprised at this. I believe the office staff and installers need additional staff to help out. It seems like they are overwhelmed with work. My thought is that the windows/doors.screens, etc need to be double checked when they are received at the warehouse, that way if there is a measurement issue, it can be handled quicker. I do have to add the staff is friendly and professional, but enough is enough with the incorrect sizes and the long waits Update on the screen issue: Just received a call from Karoly windows and the screen is once again delayed with no ETA. Come on , really??? After posting this review, I recieved an email from the Karoly office stating that they are no longer willing to handle helping with the missing screen and I am to call the manufacturer. I called and spoke to the office manager Michaela and she basically told me that because I posted bad reviews they will no longer help with the missing screen and I am to seek help through the manufacturer. I advised Michaela that I was not happy and would make sure to tell my friends. She stated "I don't care about your friends because we do over a million dollars a year and we don't need your friends" WOW! Apparently if a person is not happy, they don't care. Karolys uses deceptive practices to get your deposit. They don't tell you the truth about the turn times. I was told 5 months. They promised as the product comes in it would be installed. That's a lie. They make up a 100 excuses even though I have many emails showing the dates the product is coming in with the implication that they were going to install them as they come in and then they go back on their word. They left my house totally unprotected during hurricane season which was my main concern when I contracted with them. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Karoly Windows and Doors! As a matter of fact, they will probably be busy doing most of our neighbors homes now that they're done with us, sorry guys! After getting an estimate we had them out last week to replace all the windows in our home with more efficient glass and casement style windows as well as replacing a sliding glass door with french doors. They arrived Monday morning and did not stop working until almost 8 pm that night! They finished the job the next afternoon, two days a head of schedule and no quality was compromised. Our windows look and work beautifully, they cleaned up entirely after themselves and were friendly and cheerful the entire time they were in our home. The city inspector even commented afterwards that he was impressed with their work, as they used 3 times the required amount of screws. I'll take that kind of work any day! read more

No salesman just the owner that came out and measured . His prices were competitive to one other company and much better than two others. He was no nonsense and the only one that told me the truth about time frame. he was two months further out than his competitor and considering he was using the same windows made me feel like i was dealing with an honest company. My installers were fabulous. They showed up on time every day and explained what their process was from the beginning. Meticulous, knowledgable , and clean workmanship. They covered my furniture , vacuumed after each window , cleaned the window , checked out the operation to make sure it was correct. Great personailties , pleasant, polite and talented. They did 15 windows ,a double entry door , two other exterior doors and a slider in 3 and one half days . Couldn't be happier with how everything worked out. I was so pleased with the price that I added additional windows to the project that I did not think I would be able to include in my budget. I wanted to replace my windows with hurricane impact windows so I did a fair amount of research, including having a representative from the company that advertises in BJ's and Sam's club. Most of the windows I looked at seemed like good quality but the reviews of the work product of the companies I looked at was not very good. When I checked with the BBB I found lots of complains for non-responsiveness, failure to satisfactorily resolve issues, etc. I found Karoly Windows and Doors, and asked for a quote because of their exceptional reviews. The owner personally came and did the measurements and gave me a quote. It was not the cheapest but was competitive and the best in terms of reviews and reputation. A+ from BBB. The windows are high quality from a national company and came with a lifetime warranty After some negotiating I made the purchase. The owner came on the first day to get the project started and kept me informed of every step along the way. I only had two issues which were quickly resolved. When the windows were delivered one of them had a defect; and during installation the crew cracked a window sill. After mentioning it to the owner he promptly sent a technician to install a new sill and a replacement window was delivered and installed. They did an excellent job - two days to install 21 windows. I would highly recommend Karoly to anyone looking to install or replace their windows. I had 22 Simonton Stormbreaker Plus Windows, 4 PGT Winguard Windows and 4 PGT Winguard Sliding Glass Doors installed at my home. He stayed involved during the entire installation. He came out to talk to me about windows and options, measured the windows and doors and sent me a detailed estimate with drawings and dimensions for each window. I asked that the order be divided windows separate from doors in case I didn't do both at once (which I did end deciding to do together). The prices was competitive with other vendors, but not the lowest. I decided to go with Karoly because of knowing exactly what I was getting, the price and his willingness to meet the other estimate. The windows arrived when he estimated. The installation was completed in the time agreed upon. The workers who came to my house were professional, courteous and did their best to keep the mess at a minimum. They cleaned up after themselves and I was extremely satisfied with the installation. I found Karoly Windows on Angie's list and he was rated A with almost 200 recent "A" reviews . Karoly the owner came out and did the measuring himself and was very polite. His pricing was good for the Simonton side slider windows we chose. We signed a contract and gave a deposit and we were also told up front that it would take about 4 to 6 weeks to get the permit and windows custom made. When the installers came, Karoly also showed up that day to start the project and the installers stayed until 9 pm installing 9 large windows. They put down plastic carpets where they worked and if it had rained they had booties they were going to put on. They broke out the old windows and installed the new ones. They look fantastic and are low E and the double pained windows (not storm because we have storm shutters). They caulked everything perfectly. The windows have a lifetime warranty but so do PGT windows and I saw nightmares on line about getting PGT replacements when something actually happens with PGT windows. Karoly told me he did not have any problems getting replacements with Simonton so we also read great reviews on the newest Simonton windows. We've had the windows about a week and love that they cut out the sound of traffic outside as well. They did not have to break any cement or anything other than the actual windows to install these. Both sides of these windows slide so we had to get extra alarm sensors to cover the other side. Other than that we love the new windows that replaced our 1977 aluminum single pain glass.
