We cannot say enough good things about Karoly. The whole process was fairly quick. The quote we received was very fair and we had other quotes to compare to, it was cheaper and we were able to get more done than with other companies. The county inspector said they love when they get jobs from Karoly, because they do a fantastic job there normally are no issues with the quality of their work. The workers were super friendly even being so kind to our child who loved watching them work. All in all, it was seamless, great quality, and we feel we got the best value for our money by using Karoly. read more

After only 2 years our Karoly doors are being replaced. They leak. Very poor quality and install. I would avoid Karoly Windows and Doors. They don't support their products. Sad to say..We would have been better off using Lowes or Home Depot. At least they guarantee their work! Very disappointing. read more

Karoly Windows and Doors - Not a good install... - Windows Installation Near Me - Tampa, Florida

BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Told me Windows would be in in 12 weeks and it took over a year to get them while they held 50% deposit for over a year. When they finally did do the install 2 of the 3 window panes they installed were damaged and broken. They told me I had to pay them in full for the job and that it was a "Warranty" issue that I need to take up with Simonton. I told them I would gladly pay them in full when the completed the job by install 3 non-broken/damaged windows. I still have 2 broken window paines and this unscrupulous company has put a lien on my house. UPDATE: Everything I stated is accurate and true. Karoly Windows appears to be putting forth a false narrative to save their rating. Karoly installers told me it would be 4-6 weeks to replace the 2 broken/damaged window panes they installed - FALSE! It has been over 6 weeks and I have not gotten a single updates or status from Karoly Window. The only thing I have heard from Karoly is the claims they made in this review. Last night I called Simonton, and the Simonton representative told him that no claim has been filed, no replacement sashes have been ordered, and no service technician is scheduled to come out. BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! read more

Just got our windows replaced by Karoly Windows. The installation crew was the best we have ever had working at our house. Truly outstanding. They were polite, efficient, and had great attention to detail. Couldn't have asked for more. The windows look great. I have zero issues. The process from estimate to installation day was painless. read more

I am one of those ladies who is always cold. I could not go another winter with our drafty windows! We called Karoly Windows and Doors to get a quote and were treated professionally and fairly from the beginning. Replacement windows in Clearwater should be handled by the pros at Karoly. They are a plus plus in my book beyond professionalism exemplary tradesmanship thoroughness and respectfulness to the homeowner and to each other. I would use no other company and I am a big believer when you do installations that they should be employees of the vendor and not subcontractors. I would trust my windows and doors to no one else. We live out of state but wanted high wind windows for our new vacation home. I first emailed measurements and they gave me a quote. Then Karoly himself came out for the final measurements and we ordered the windows. We planned ahead flights back to Florida for the job and it went great. In one day all 7 windows were done. The next day Karoly scheduled the City Inspection and each window was inspected and it passed. Very professional along the way keeping us informed and very happy with our new windows. read more

worst company ever!! order 5 windows and 3 slider doors with screens on Oct 6 2021!! Still waiting for job to be completed. Phone calls never returned. One window and one door completed although the screen is torn. Based on my experience would not recommend this company EVER! wish there was a minus star rating read more

We had half house done with hurricane windows and a guest room outside door to the pool. Excellent communication! They also provided great pricing as had 3 quotes they were basically around $8,000 less than the other quotes received Highly recommend! read more

Karoly just installed two sets of new storm-resistant sliding glass doors at my house. Karoly is a gem of a contractor. They did everything great, and by the book: contracting, permits, inspections, etc. They gave me all the documents I needed to get HOA approval. They found the perfect doors for my house. They kept in touch regarding delivery dates. Then Andy and Ernesto from Karoly came and installed the new doors. These two gentlemen are consummate professionals. They were polite, friendly, efficient, and highly competent. They did a sterling job. I can't recommend them highly enough. One usually encounters a range of quality in dealing with contractors. I can say with total confidence that I would trust Karoly with any job it is willing to do. I'm now seriously considering having the windows done in addition to the sliding doors that have been done so well. I'd give Karoly more than 5 stars if I could. read more

We got it! Karoly was great. They said what they were going to do, for how much, and when they were going to do it, and did it all - early. Thanks Aaron, Andy, and Seth for the installation. It was great. read more

We are very pleased with Karoly Windows and Doors. The house we picked this spring was amazing however, being situated on a golf course and having elderly owners precede us made an upgrade to the window and door process necessary. We reached out to several companies for quotes. Karoly was middle of the road for price but nearing the top on quality product and available reviews. We decided that Karoly was the company for us. Karoly measured our house, gave us a quote and passed us to Cynthia who completed our preorder and scheduling. The windows arrived with no problem and were installed over a 3 day process. (It's a big house). The team was timely and polite, they were also honest though an accident resulted in sprinkler damage the team was fully communicated the mishap and fixed the issue. After the team had left one of the many hurricane systems swept through the area. We noticed one of the windows leaking we called Karoly they came out and fixed the issue as soon as the rain had stopped. We liked this company for the transparency, the efficiency, the cost, the follow up care. We can confidently recommend them to anyone in the area needing quality window services. read more

UPDATED BELOW! I could really mark it down to a one star now! Not the 5 star I expected. After waiting 6 months for windows, one of them did not fit. Miraculously, they searched around and found one in a warehouse and was able to install it, however, it didn't have a screen. Karolys' office representative ordered a screen and I was advised that it would take 30 days to have it rushed to me. Weill it took 60 days and it was also the wrong size. I forgot to mention that 2 of the 3 windows failed the initial inspection by the city. I live in a condo community and some of my other neighbors have had no issues, so I am surprised at this. I believe the office staff and installers need additional staff to help out. It seems like they are overwhelmed with work. My thought is that the windows/doors.screens, etc need to be double checked when they are received at the warehouse, that way if there is a measurement issue, it can be handled quicker. I do have to add the staff is friendly and professional, but enough is enough with the incorrect sizes and the long waits Update on the screen issue: Just received a call from Karoly windows and the screen is once again delayed with no ETA. Come on , really??? After posting this review, I recieved an email from the Karoly office stating that they are no longer willing to handle helping with the missing screen and I am to call the manufacturer. I called and spoke to the office manager Michaela and she basically told me that because I posted bad reviews they will no longer help with the missing screen and I am to seek help through the manufacturer. I advised Michaela that I was not happy and would make sure to tell my friends. She stated "I don't care about your friends because we do over a million dollars a year and we don't need your friends" WOW! Apparently if a person is not happy, they don't care. All they want is five start reviews. Horrible from the time the windows were installed. Very very harsh. poor customer read more

Karolys uses deceptive practices to get your deposit. They don't tell you the truth about the turn times. I was told 5 months. They promised as the product comes in it would be installed. That's a lie. They make up a 100 excuses even though I have many emails showing the dates the product is coming in with the implication that they were going to install them as they come in and then they go back on their word. They left my house totally unprotected during hurricane season which was my main concern when I contracted with them. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Karoly Windows and Doors! As a matter of fact, they will probably be busy doing most of our neighbors homes now that they're done with us, sorry guys! After getting an estimate we had them out last week to replace all the windows in our home with more efficient glass and casement style windows as well as replacing a sliding glass door with french doors. They arrived Monday morning and did not stop working until almost 8 pm that night! They finished the job the next afternoon, two days a head of schedule and no quality was compromised. Our windows look and work beautifully, they cleaned up entirely after themselves and were friendly and cheerful the entire time they were in our home. The city inspector even commented afterwards that he was impressed with their work, as they used 3 times the required amount of screws. I'll take that kind of work any day! read more

Couldn't even show up during a 4 hour appointment window scheduled weeks before or call to let you know they will be late. They clearly have no respect for people's time. They claim to pride themselves on their customer service but what a poor showing. Good thing there are plenty of installers in the area that work hard to earn your business. read more

After getting over 5 different quotes on window replacements, Karoly came in at the highest quality and best price. I was so pleased with the price that I added additional windows to the project that I did not think I would be able to include in my budget. I was able to get baseline prices over the phone and a quote sent to me by email. It was quick and easy. When Karoly came out to take measurements, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. I liked that he was involved in the installation as well and not just a salesman. He was able to give me a lot more information about what was possible in the new window installation. The guy knows his stuff! I had a prior leak in my previous windows that caused some damage to the house that was discovered when removing the old windows. Karoly could have honestly used the opportunity to scare me into paying a higher price to fix these areas, but he was an honest man and didn't take advantage of my lack of knowledge. His work strengthened these areas nicely and it looks fantastic. He also took extra steps to seal other areas of the outside of my house that could leak. It is all the extra things that Karoly did at no extra charge that really made me glad I chose his group. The man is passionate about his work. I could tell that Karoly and his team treated my house as if it were their own. They were all polite and cleaned up very well post install. I will be using them again for more windows in the future. read more

Vili, Botond, Attila were my installers . They installed my hurricane doors and windows. First let me start wit why I chose Karoli . Its an owner operated company. No salesman just the owner that came out and measured . His prices were competitive to one other company and much better than two others. He was no nonsense and the only one that told me the truth about time frame. he was two months further out than his competitor and considering he was using the same windows made me feel like i was dealing with an honest company. My installers were fabulous. They showed up on time every day and explained what their process was from the beginning. Meticulous, knowledgable , and clean workmanship. They covered my furniture , vacuumed after each window , cleaned the window , checked out the operation to make sure it was correct. Great personailties , pleasant, polite and talented. They did 15 windows ,a double entry door , two other exterior doors and a slider in 3 and one half days . Couldn't be happier with how everything worked out. I would recommend Karoly to anyone that asked. read more

I would highly recommend Karoly and his staff for installing hurricane windows and doors. At every step along the way from ordering to installation and inspection everything was done professionally. Karoly was very easy to talk to and very responsive to our questions. He went out of his way to make sure our needs were met. Installation was done efficiently with attention to detail. The office staff was very professional and responded to us in a timely manner. We are so happy with our new hurricane windows and doors. Our home is quieter, more energy efficient and we can rest easy knowing we are protected from storms and hurricanes. If you are looking for a great team offering excellent service, a quality product and a fair price I would highly recommend you choose Karoly. read more

I wanted to replace my windows with hurricane impact windows so I did a fair amount of research, including having a representative from the company that advertises in BJ's and Sam's club. Most of the windows I looked at seemed like good quality but the reviews of the work product of the companies I looked at was not very good. When I checked with the BBB I found lots of complains for non-responsiveness, failure to satisfactorily resolve issues, etc. I found Karoly Windows and Doors, and asked for a quote because of their exceptional reviews. The owner personally came and did the measurements and gave me a quote. It was not the cheapest but was competitive and the best in terms of reviews and reputation. A+ from BBB. The windows are high quality from a national company and came with a lifetime warranty After some negotiating I made the purchase. The owner came on the first day to get the project started and kept me informed of every step along the way. I only had two issues which were quickly resolved. When the windows were delivered one of them had a defect; and during installation the crew cracked a window sill. After mentioning it to the owner he promptly sent a technician to install a new sill and a replacement window was delivered and installed. They did an excellent job - two days to install 21 windows. I would use them again. I don't live in San Francisco - its Orlando FL read more

I was extremely pleased with the hurricane window installation work done by Karoly from start to finish. The owner came to my home to take measurements and answer all of my questions. I also had occasion to visit the company's office, which was very modern and professional. The staff kept me fully-informed throughout the process and was always available to answer my questions. On installation day, the installers were prompt, did excellent, very professional work, and cleaned up after themselves. I highly-recommend Karoly Windows and Doors; you will not be disappointed! read more

So highly impressed with the level of care, respect, and professionalism received from everyone I have dealt with in this business! The quality of product, warranty and workmanship is as good as it gets,as far as I am concerned!I got estimates from 4 companies to replace my old sliding patio doors with new impact rated doors.Karoly was not cheapest---nor most expensive.I read the reviews, and basically went on my gut instinct----as I had major reservations in even doing this at all:having been conned by another business at another residence.Karoly himself came to measure:he was very patient and answered every concern I had.The office staff kept me up to date and was available for any questions--as well as providing easy to understand step by step instructions of the process--the contract---what to expect, etc. The delivery arrived promptly at 7-with installers William and Josef right behind.I am delighted with the outcome. The house and work areas were left neat and clean--and the gentlemen were very respectful and knowledgeable.I feel very fortunate to have contracted with Karoly for this project, and will definitely ask them to replace my windows as well in the future. read more

Karoly Windows and Doors is the only contractor you should talk to about your needs. They keep you informed once you sign the contract and you are waiting for the windows/doors to be manufactured. Their installers are professional and pay close attention to detail during installation as well as cleaning up afterwards. Karoly has followed up to ensure we are satisfied and stated call on them at any time if there is any issue. I have had windows installed on other properties in the past by other contractors but never had the high degree of quality and service Karoly gives. Thanks again for such a great experience. read more

Excellent work. They were meticulous in the installation, finishing and cleanup. I highly recommend them!

Karoly windows and doors installed a 9 foot bay window and 9 foot patio slider, both hurricane impact. The crew,Richard and Zoltan did a wonderful job. Laid down tarps and cleaned up completely and removed all debris. They worked in a very professional manner and were very respectful. If I had another home in Clearwater Fl. I would use Karoly windows and Doors again. Mr. Karoly was very responsive too all my communications and his staff was spot on also. If your looking for window or door products give Karoly a call. After getting multiple estimates we settled on Karoly Windows & Doors. We were very happy with our decision. They took care of the paperwork and all we had to do was be home for the installation. The men came and went within two days after doing 15 windows and two doors. They are priced just right not to high you turn away and not to low you question the quality. read more

I would highly recommend Karoly to anyone looking to install or replace their windows. I had 22 Simonton Stormbreaker Plus Windows, 4 PGT Winguard Windows and 4 PGT Winguard Sliding Glass Doors installed at my home. He stayed involved during the entire installation. He came out to talk to me about windows and options, measured the windows and doors and sent me a detailed estimate with drawings and dimensions for each window. I asked that the order be divided windows separate from doors in case I didn't do both at once (which I did end deciding to do together). The prices was competitive with other vendors, but not the lowest. I decided to go with Karoly because of knowing exactly what I was getting, the price and his willingness to meet the other estimate. The windows arrived when he estimated. The installation was completed in the time agreed upon. The workers who came to my house were professional, courteous and did their best to keep the mess at a minimum. They cleaned up after themselves and I was extremely satisfied with the installation. When the building inspector came through, he was impressed both by the windows and the quality of installation. read more

I found Karoly Windows on Angie's list and he was rated A with almost 200 recent "A" reviews . Karoly the owner came out and did the measuring himself and was very polite. His pricing was good for the Simonton side slider windows we chose. We signed a contract and gave a deposit and we were also told up front that it would take about 4 to 6 weeks to get the permit and windows custom made. When the installers came, Karoly also showed up that day to start the project and the installers stayed until 9 pm installing 9 large windows. They put down plastic carpets where they worked and if it had rained they had booties they were going to put on. They broke out the old windows and installed the new ones. They look fantastic and are low E and the double pained windows (not storm because we have storm shutters). They caulked everything perfectly. The windows have a lifetime warranty but so do PGT windows and I saw nightmares on line about getting PGT replacements when something actually happens with PGT windows. Karoly told me he did not have any problems getting replacements with Simonton so we also read great reviews on the newest Simonton windows. We've had the windows about a week and love that they cut out the sound of traffic outside as well. They did not have to break any cement or anything other than the actual windows to install these. Both sides of these windows slide so we had to get extra alarm sensors to cover the other side. Other than that we love the new windows that replaced our 1977 aluminum single pain glass. Thank you Karoly Windows! They are out of Tampa but they came to Central Florida east coast as well and go all the way south to Miami. read more
