Wifey wanted to try one of her friends favorite chicken sandwiches. We were in the area and decided to give it a try. A local chain that's won local awards and been featured on phantom gourmet. The parking lot in this location is a little tight but we didn't have any issues when we went. Wifey already knew what she wanted and I was just along for the ride. I think it was the OG sandwich was what we ordered (pickles and ranch) and fried with a garlic all dipping sauce. Overall it was a good sandwich. The chicken didn't taste overly processed like most fast food/casual chains and was perfectly fried. I'd say this is better than chik-fil-a and is always great to support local. Their bun was really good and elevated the sandwich. I would like to try their other sandwiches since the OG was a little too simple for my taste. The fries were good, but a little salty.

this presentation is disappointing. there is barely enough meat & atleast the green onions? there should also be more than just 2 people in the kitchen at a busy location like Danvers & one extra cashier to make the employees less stressed. you want food coming out consistent, MAKE YOUR EMPLOYEES HAPPY. but still love the food overall

One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had! If you like spicy, go with the Angry Bird! The chicken was very fresh and the sauce was very tasty. For a chicken place, their ribs are also on point. Honestly it would be hard to choose between the ribs and the Angry Bird - make sure you go with a group so you can try both ;) Please come to Ohio! I really want to try their chicken and waffles, but leaving Boston too soon! Definitely have to try!

This was my first visit to the Danvers location and my takeaway impression was that they should call this place Angry Bird for the impression and vibe that the staff gave. No smiles on the faces of the employees not wearing face masks and an unpleasant bark from one of them stating that someone was illegally parked and was going to get towed. My immediate thought was that if they were able to get the orders done in less than 20 minutes the parking lot wouldn't be so packed - this was after 1pm when we entered the restaurant. As far as the food, we ordered a chocolate milk shake, the O.G., PCH, regular fries, apple fennel slaw and a 1/4 rack of ribs. The chicken had a great crunch to it - almost like a panko breaded crunch. My wife and son liked the O.G. I had the PCH and again, the chicken was crunchy. I thought the guacamole was okay and was just too much "noise" in the sandwich and that simple slices of avocado would have enhanced the taste instead of garbling it. The apple fennel slaw is an acquired taste that I just haven't acquired I guess. While it wasn't bad, I was expecting a different taste experience and it wasn't there for me. The French Fries were good especially knowing that they must have been in the bag for at least 10 minutes waiting on the sandwiches as they were t hot at all. The truffle ketchup was good . I ordered the 1/4 rack of ribs as I assumed they must be a special signature dish and was woefully disappointed as they were nit special. The chocolate shake was a great pairing for the chicken sandwiches and fries. They use Richardson's ice cream and it was blended very well. So would I come back? I think I will try their original location to see if the angry bird persona is their brand. The chicken was good but I am baffled by how long it takes. The actual chicken looks to be a butterflied breast so it is a thinner cut compared to Mother Cluckers which is my standard bearer. Angry Bird is certainly a nice addition to the choices on that street and I think if they can improve the wait time and be a little more cheerful it will give me pause before I go to Kelly's Roast Beef or one of the other fast food chains already there.

The chicken sandwich are good visit frequently. Some of the staff at this location are just hands down rude and very unhelpful.

Tastes watered down. REGARDLESS, ALL THE STARS IN THE WORLD for their drinks. The peach shaken ice tea and raspberry rose teas have every complex note they describe. I'm jaded by all the fruity drinks/tea blends out there that are just too sweet and artificial. Nan's makes it perfectly. The white peach actually shines through, which is rare in my experience. The raspberry is REAL. Speaking as someone who enjoys artificial raspberry flavors of jam donuts and bottled ice tea...idk if Nan's makes it for real, but, if so, you can taste it! You still taste the tea, the fruits, the florals, it's not watered down, and best of all--not overtly sweet. Their fruit drinks have the perfect balance. It's genuinely refreshing and delicious. I find myself craving their teas all the time!!

**We found our new favorite spot!**…read more My partner and I stumbled upon Nan's Kitchen and what a delightful discovery it was! As first-timers, we were treated with such warmth and patience by the staff - no pressure, no rush, just genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. We started by sharing the hatch chili farro bowl with roasted cauliflower and hominy, fragrant ginger carrots, and lemon mustard salmon. The tomato harissa sauce and zhoug were absolutely incredible - seriously, these sauces are to die for! Everything was perfectly seasoned and the flavors were so well-balanced. Pictures are not perfect, but the lighting was so warm and comfortable, you will have to excuse them! Halfway through our meal, I spotted they had coconut carrot soup with chickpeas and ginger on the menu and literally ran back to order a cup. We ended up sharing that too, and it was such a smart move - the soup was aromatic and comforting with just the right amount of spice from the ginger. To drink, we had fresh lemonade and iced tea (both perfectly refreshing), and couldn't resist finishing with their banana pudding, which was the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. What really stood out beyond the exceptional food was how accommodating and friendly the service was. They made splitting dishes feel completely natural and were so welcoming when I dashed back for that soup! The attention to flavor and seasoning here is remarkable - every single component of our meal was thoughtfully prepared. We're already planning our next visit. Nan's Kitchen has absolutely earned a permanent spot on our regular rotation! Highly recommend for anyone looking for fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared food with service that makes you feel like family.

These genius handheld cups are made with all white-meat chicken shaped into a crispy, golden cup and filled with creamy mac‑and‑cheese or pasta--you really have to try it to believe it. My Chicken Cup felt perfectly seasoned, hot and crispy on the outside, with warm, creamy comfort tucked inside. It's exactly the sort of playful and indulgent food that hits the spot--and it's surprisingly satisfying for a single small item. In my experience, it cut easily with a plastic knife and melted right in your mouth. The concept itself is brilliantly creative and fun--a handheld mashup of chicken parm meets portable mac‑and‑cheese, presented in a neat little cup. That offbeat charm is what makes this place so memorable. Service pickup was smooth; I was able to grab my order with no fuss. If you like inventive, hearty, and Instagram-ready comfort food with a twist, you'll love this spot. Definitely one of Beverly's most fun and tasty culinary surprises!

It takes a lot to make a new food item. I mean, there's a world of food out there. But these folks did it. Bravo! I envision the Crispy Chicken Cup becoming a famous Salem food. You know, like a Philly Cheesesteak, Poutine in Montreal, or my favorite Chicago foods: deep dish pizza, Chicago-style hotdogs, jibaritos and Italian beef. The Crispy Chicken Cup can be like that for Salem. Salem has so much more going for it than just witch trials. Did you know that it also is the birthplace of Negro Election Day and was one of the first places to have racially integrated schools in the 1800s??? Yeah, Salem is pretty cool and now it can also add the Crispy Chicken Cup to it's notoriety. The Crispy Chicken Cup is chicken cutlets formed into a cup-shape and then deep fried. The inventors of the cup are still exploring ways to fill the cup and I'm excited to see where their creativity takes them. So far, they mostly fill it with variations of pasta: mac n' cheese, pasta and meatballs, pesto pasta, etc. The chicken cup kinda tastes like a pounded and fried chicken. It is crispy and cuts easily with a plastic knife. I like to cut little squares off of the cup and eat with bites of pasta. The whole eating process would be easier on a plate, but I've always eaten the Crispy Chicken Cups from the box. The box is white cardboard. It's challenging to get inside the box and eat down the sides of the chicken cup. I don't have a better idea for a selling container, but I do recommend that buyers take the cup out of the box and put it on a plate to eat it. Unfortunately, that takes foresight that I haven't had. I'm really excited to see what happens with the Crispy Chicken Cup. I hope that they blossom and become a staple in Salem.

I've been to several and the bigger conglomerates are the ones that have been letting me down the most. In, steps Frangos.... HOLY CRAP WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO THIS CHICKEN is pretty much me every time I try what they are offering. Over fries or in a standard basket, doesn't matter because it's super-bomb! Everyone messes up on the juiciness but you'd think this was marinated for at least three days in some god-like buttermilk mixture because it's NEVER a problem here that you get dried out strips. It pairs well with that Frangos sauce you want to take home and possibly bathe in or slurp up with literally anything else out of your fridge. Situated in an old breakfast spot that was easily my favorite within a 10 mile radius and is missed tremendously, I believe the old owner's sons turned this into what it is now and really didn't change much of the decor at all. Hit up the kiosk or go to the friendly staff manning two registers. Even on weeknights, 75% of the tables are filled with everyone from a group of Wilmington teenagers to young families and their kids gobbling down the poultry. It's vibrant and hopping at all hours inside. I'm a huge sucker for atmosphere, so when you hear the mostly 90's pop blaring out behind the kitchen's bluetooth speaker, you know you've come to the right place. Even that toast they are serving alongside the standard dinners *chefs kiss*. My goodness, don't ever change, Frangos.
