Up until now, I'd never had a fast food place advertise something as "hot" or "spicy" and actually mean it. Dave's Hot Chicken apparently took that personally. I ordered the chicken sandwich combo with fries--mild, I think. Maybe medium. Whatever it was, it had more legitimate heat than the Burger King Jalapeño Whopper ever dreamed of having, and it made Taco Bell's Diablo sauce taste like something you'd give a toddler. It wasn't painful, just the kind of spice that politely reminds you who's in charge. The chicken was juicy, the breading stayed crispy, and the sandwich had just the right amount of everything. The fries deserve some credit too. Crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy inside--the way fries always promise to be but rarely are. When the box showed up, my first thought was, "That's it?" Five minutes later I was forcing down the last few bites because I refused to let perfectly good chicken go to waste. The portions are a lot more filling than they look. We had everything delivered through DoorDash, so I can't say much about the restaurant itself, but whoever packed the order deserves a shout-out. Everything was boxed neatly, looked like it had actually been assembled by someone who cared, and somehow arrived still steaming hot. If you had told me it had come straight from the kitchen to my table, I would've believed you. First time trying Dave's, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. I've been hitting up Dave hot chicken for a few months now. I always get the #4. Chicken sandwich no cheese fries and a coke. I go there at least once a week sumtimes twice a week. I go to the same location every time. Woburn mass location on mishawum rd.. the medium chicken sandwich always comes out so good. Evan the pickles are dope. The workers kinda know me by now. Not by name just by my face. Went there today for lunch today 4-3-26. I went to pay with my debit card amd it kept getting declined,, wtf. I checked my bank, 2k in my account. We tried the hot box for chicken tenders at medium, hot and reaper. The chicken tenders are crunchy outside and juicy inside. Medium and hot tenders are tasty and full of flavor. Reaper is at totally a different level. I am not sure reaper is meant to be food to enjoy, but challenge your spice tolerance level. I eat a lot of spicy food without any problem, but my mouth and throat were on fire with just one bite of reaper tender. One more thing to caution is that the spice kicks in late with a delayed reaction. So recommend not to have huge and quick bites... Anyway, it is a fun experience. We will probably not try reaper any more, but will come back for medium and hot tenders. read more

I LOVE DAVE'S HOT CHICKEN. I'm in my big back era because of Dave's. I love spicy food so I get everything in 'hot' level spicy which is still spicy for me but it balances well with honey and the Dave's sauce. I always order from Uber Eats and every time there is always an issue like a piece of plastic being fried into my chicken, a hair inside the cheese sauce, and last time was they forgot my honey. A local staple and favorite of many, this chain was pretty tasty and had a good atmosphere. This particular location was a hit with the young crowd and when I say young I mean highschool and younger. They don't pay attention to orders very well as they often mess mine up. The chicken quality is very quickly reducing to McDonalds status. To start off, this location is so nice with a good amount of parking with beautiful graffiti art. I went with my friend and I wasn't that hungry but i really wanted french fries. We ended getting the slider and one tender combo with an extra side of french fries to share. We got the slider in mild and it was mild; we couldve definitely gone up two more levels and maybe just break a sweat. The burger is a dry rub but the cutlet is super juicy. One of the best fast food chicken sandwiches. The french fries were well seasoned and crispy. I didnt love the special sauce that it comes with; tastes like ranch with paprika. By far the best "fast food" chicken I've ever had--and yes, I've had plenty. I ordered the #3 which is the chicken slider + chicken tender + fries with a heat level of medium. I loved that the menu isn't too extensive cause it makes ordering easier and with this combo I got to try both version of their chicken so I didn't feel like I missed out. I honestly could've handled hot or maybe extra hot but I think medium is the right amount of heat if you want a kick but don't want to have to wipe your nose or drink water. So as far as the chicken, it was perfectly coated and a bit crispy on the outside but so flavorful on the inside. All parts of the chicken had flavor, not just the breading. I did think it could use a dab of salt but that's just my sodium addiction talking. The coleslaw on the sandwich gave it a hint of sweetness which was perfect and the pickles came in with a tart finish. The chicken piece I got was pretty thick. I was afraid I would have too much bread cause the chicken shape didn't match the bread shape but it was a perfect bread to chicken ratio. Although the chicken tender looks plain, it's just as delicious. Rub some sauce on it and you got yourself another sandwich. And speaking of sauce, their sauce it amazing; I literally dunked everything inside it. I initially regretted not trying to swap out fries for Mac and cheese but I'm glad I didn't cause the fries were awesome. They were crunchy, soft on the inside, and had flavor dust on it. This was my first time coming here but it won't be my last. Parking did suck a little but it is in a plaza so there is plenty of parking--I just didn't find any directly in front of it and there was a rain storm. The staff appeared nice and for the amount of people there it didn't take too too long. We maybe waited 15 minutes. The walls are very artsy and there's pop of color everywhere. We stopped by around 8pm I believe on Memorial Day and there wasn't much of a line. We got the chicken tender meals of spice levels from medium to extra hot. It took about 22 minutes for my number to be called out, order boxed and bagged. The slider with the hot chicken tenders, slaw, pickles & orange sauce of soft buns were very good. The chicken tenders were crispy outside which had a sweet flavor, then hot taste! The crinkle cut fries were golden fried and firm. Dill pickle chips and tangy orange dipping sauce was included with the box of food. This place lived up to the hype IMO. I would recommend this place if you love to eat spicy hot chicken and fries. I've been waiting for almost an hour for "fried chicken and french fries". This is insane. One register with 20 people in line to order and 20 others waiting for their food. I get that this place just opened but waiting an hour and still waiting as I write this review is just unacceptable. Based off the layout of this place, it doesn't seem like it can handle high volume. The front end needs to be redesigned to accommodate multiple registers, and the kitchen needs to be resized for double what it can currently produce.
