KFC in Woburn, MA is what happens when a place stops trying but keeps charging like it hasn't. The chicken was soggy and absolutely drowning in grease -- not in a "crispy fried chicken" way, more in a "this sat too long and nobody cared" way. If it was ever crispy, that was hours and several bad decisions ago. It was heavy, limp, and just unpleasant. The biscuits were brutally dry. Not flaky, not crumbly -- just hard, dense, and joyless. You don't eat these so much as push through them. Calling them biscuits feels generous. Mashed potatoes and gravy were... there. The gravy was so thin and translucent I had to double-check it wasn't watered down. No depth, no richness, no reason to exist. The potatoes tasted like they showed up out of obligation. The nuggets came out cold, with half the breading already falling off like it was tired of pretending. Honestly, fair. What really seals it is the price. They're charging like this is still the KFC people remember, when in reality it's just coasting on the name. Paying more used to mean better food. Did a compare of Popeyes and KFC. This KFC has a drive through which is very convenient. We also got a free pepsi with our order. The service was very quick. Although we got extra crispy, the skin was not as crispy as regular Popeye's skin. The skin did have great seasoning but the chicken itself was very dry and not great for some pieces. read more

For the life of me I can't believe this particular KFC is still open for business. It's been here for decades, at it's best, probably back in the 70's. That's when Colonel Sanders was still alive and he personally made sure his restaurants were operated at the highest standard of quality and service. Alas, all that went by the wayside after passed on and the big conglomerates cared only about the almighty dollar. I went here tonight on a whim, I got some money out of the ATM near bye to get some chicken fingers for dinner at a different place, but then I got a whiff of that intoxicating fried chicken aroma wafting out of the ventilator fans of this KFC. I was hypnotized temporarily and forgot about the horrible experiences I had in the past there. I got the 12 piece chicken only, original recipe. $32.00 with tax. I know, that is pretty high, but what isn't nowadays under Bidenomics. You start to get numb to inflation after awhile, not that that's a good thing. I got out to the parking lot and was overwhelmed by this cleaning product type of smell, almost like oven cleaner, weird. Drove off in my truck, couldn't resist having a piece of chicken to nibble on the way home. Not much for lunch so i was starving. What the %@#&?! The chicken leg had a slight taste like the chemical smell I just encountered in the parking lot. I thought maybe my nostrils were still polluted with that Easy Off odor i just encountered and that affected the taste. Oh, and the 11 herbs and spices? You're lucky nowadays at ANY Kentucky Fried Chicken, to get 1 or 2 of them, not the original recipe by any means, those days are long gone. Arrived home, had a chicken breast on a plate, same thing. Then it hit me....they must have been doing some heavy duty cleaning at this horror of a KFC, and somehow it permeated into the chicken. By air, residue left on pans, fryers, utensils or in the warming oven. I wasn't about to eat any more of that contaminated food so I took it out back and threw it into the woods. (Coyotes and raccoons aren't too particular about their cuisine, bon appetit varmints.) So once again I'm out some hard earned $$$ because I never learn my lesson about this dump. I'll tell you one thing, lesson learned this time, class dismissed. I'm grateful at least I didn't have to call the Poison Control Center. Every cloud has a silver lining! read more

This KFC outlet needs to check customer pick up the right order at the mobile pick up counter. My online order was taken by someone else, and it was difficult to get the staff to replace my stolen order which was already paid for. Staff needs to check customer order and not simply let anyone pick any bag and take it away. Anyone can simply order the smallest item and walk away with the biggest bag. read more

This is a cobranded KFC/Taco Bell with drive thru, which sits on a very small site. The parking lot layout is very tight and sort of tricky to maneuver through. The store itself is pretty small with a few tables inside, self serve Pepsi fountain drinks next to the counter. I went inside the store for carryout. I ordered a $5 Fill Up Box: Chicken Pot Pie, Choc Chip Cookie & a Medium Fountain Soda. The service here on my recent visit was pretty quick and my food was all set to go in about 2 minutes. The dining area needed some TLC, tables needed a good wipedown. read more

I haven't had KFC in a long while. I had an urge for some comfort food, and the chicken, mashed potatoes, coleslaw and biscuits were right on. Everyone had masks on, the gentleman at the counter where I ordered was polite and courteous. Im not sure what prompted the negative reviews, but the line of cars all around the place and out into the street indicates to me the popularity must have some basis in quality and service. A friend call me she wanted fried chicken. There is a KFC near my house so I said come over and we can go to KFC. We ordered online because of covid. I got there and there were more than 4 people in the lobby which is supposed to be maxed at 4 due to covid. Anyways, we checked in said we ordered online. We watched others get their food first. Our food was supposed to be ready at 5:30. We did not leave the lobby with our food until 6:15. We ordered at 5:15. The manager said one of our orders couldn't be found in the system. Oh brother! Also there was a customer in the lobby not wearing a mask and the manager did not even ask him to put one on, he said nothing!!!! I've been to this TacoBell/KFC establishment twice. Both times, extremely hungry after not working out at the Y.. ha! Anyways we pull up and order a Cool Ranch Taco Box. My boyfriend orders a T11 and the girl on the intercom says "What to drink?" He says "Sierra Mist". She says "WHAT ELSE?!!!" As if she were repeating something for the 10th time. We pull up in anger. Grab our bag. He asks for hot sauce packets. She cuts him off and goes "ITS IN THE BAG!" And the window slams shut. Really? To be honest she's lucky I didn't jump through that window. I placed an order and paid online via kfc.com which apparently uses grub hub. I went to pick up my order and to my surprise the store did not receive my order given some glitch with the systems talking to each other. Even after showing the manager my receipt, he said there was nothing he can do even though it's clear I paid already. What is most upsetting is the lack of willingness for the store manager to correct the problem. A KFC system error became the customer's problem even though the manager could have easily given me my order. KFC lost another customer. read more

Other reviewers found this location to have bad service but I couldn't disagree more. We were greeted and every exchange with the staff was pleasant. They actually went out of their way to be friendly which is unusal in fast food. The fried chicken is really good (duh?), and the mac and cheese was decent. Everything else was a miss including the mashed potatoes (box mix). My wife had a mixed bowl with everything combined and it was lukewarm at best. Yeah.. I'm reviewing a KFC.. so what?! I like fried chicken, ok? And there seems to be a serious dearth of decent fried chicken in the Boston metro area. The good: chicken! We got boneless chicken combos with a buy one get one free coupon - I didn't have high expectations, how can fried chicken be good without bones?! But amazingly, they were.. it was juicy and tasty, and boneless! Also good: the people behind the counters were very nice, laughing and joking with the customers and creating a pleasant atmosphere. The bad: there was no parking in their lot! Wtf? There were only two other customers in the store, and their entire lot was full? Also bad: the store itself was a dump. They did have a sign that says "open during construction", but it wasn't just a construction mess, it seemed kind of dirty as well. Looking at all the other reviews, it seems that I got lucky with the chicken? I'm writing this during the half time report of the Patriots - Buccaneers game in London. No, I am not in London. The game is being played in London at Wembly Stadium. This place gives me the hibbie jibbies. It has not been updated since I was a kid. Actually I lied, it has now a Taco Bell fused into it. But it is still cramped, tiny and untidy. Of course I was getting my grub to go. I came here for my yearly KFC craving. I was excited to finally try the KFC grilled chicken as well as chow down on the usual original recipe. I ordered 3 pieces of grilled chicken and 3 original. I came to my mother's house, turned on the game, and was ready. You know that exciting feeling... I tore the cover off of the bucket to find ALL grilled chicken. Damnit! Oh well, I'm not letting the idiots at KFC screw up my game. It's pretty good, actually really good. this review has nothing to do with the food itself, more of the website. clicked on where it said to order online, did the order etc thinking it was done. well i called back just to verify and they said GRUBHUB had no order in the system, i told her i didn't use grubhub, she said they don't do online ordering even though the site gives you the option. now does POWERED BY GRUBHUB supposed to mean you order thru them? almost every company in the past 2 or 3 months that we have tried to order online or over the phone, there is always an issue or a change the customer was not aware of.... just make sure you understand the lingo on the site before ordering. read more

this kfc/taco bell is one of the worst locations I've ever been to. the only reason I come here is because it's so close to where I work. it often takes 25+ minutes to go through the drive-thru. the food is rarely fresh, which is weird because if the ingredients are just sitting around, why does it take so long?? orders are wrong about 50% of the time. i hope management decides to hire/train more employees. read more

They still allow people to order in the store and wait for food in the lobby. The lobby is a very small area, since this place has no eat in. When I was there picking up my online order, multiple people were in the lobby not wearing any face coverings, and the employee handing the food to me wearing mask but not covering the nose! This is the second time I've ordered KFC from this store, about 4 months apart. I waited so long because the first experience was so poor. The chicken was poorly cooked and they shorted me a piece. I figured a bad day can happen and went in there this week. I have two words for you, "stay away." Stopped in last nite to take dinner home. Chicken was way overcooked, way too dry, and tasted old, and this was at dinner time, 6pm. cashier could not understand english well and I could not understand what he was asking, a second employee had to help him with speaking and punching order in. The absolute WORST food in the area. The french fries betrayed dirty frying oil (should've have been changed long before I got there) that smelled just like what it was. The chicken was fried well before the 20 minute wait in our car (I saw the warming cabinets from which they make up the orders) so by the time we got it home (~12 mins), it was dried out and a waste of $27. I ordered 4 pieces of chicken with nothing else--just chicken. I received 3 pieces and 2 insipid biscuits. No receipt, either. Like being abused and wasting your money? Go ahead and be my guest. I complained to KFC about this waste of space in Woburn and they contacted me to look for information I already provided (contact information), leading me to believe that maybe they want to issue me a coupon or something for a future meal. My experience there was terrible. I ordered a beefy frito burrito, and when I took a bite into it, the rice tasted uncooked/stale. I proceeded to make a uturn to tell the girl at the drive thru what happened, and asked if I could have something else. She tried to charge me for a second item even though I told her that it tasted different from what it should taste like. She stared at me like I had 3 heads and repeated the price of the new item to me. I drove away without anything to eat. This is really bad customer service. If you go to any other fast food restaurant, and are not satisfied with your product, they are more than happy and willing to change it and give you something else , or a better quality product. I told the gal at the register that he didn't have gloves on and she told him to put them on. Which he did, but who knows how long he was working without gloves. The location is pitiful and the size of the place is way too small and the place is so nasty that you may have to check the bottom of your shoes after you walk out.
