At this point, our waitress came over and dropped off menus, chips and salsa, and took our drink orders. To go along with the chips, we asked for a couple bowls of fresh guacamole. It took them a bit to get this out to our table as I think there was a little bit of confusion as we had a waiter and waitress taking care of us, but when it did arrive, it tasted very fresh and was delicious - a treat for me as I rarely get guacamole. We were given plenty of time to review the menu and sip on our drinks - I ordered a Pumpkinhead Ale (Shipyard) with brown sugar/cinnamon on the rim and woah, was that delicious! For dinner, I ordered Arroz con Pollo: chicken breast sautéed in a special sauce with mushrooms, onions and bell peppers and served over a bed of rice with melted Jack cheese on top and garnished with sour cream and avocado. This dish was phenomenal! The pieces of chicken were hot and tender and I loved the spice of the special sauce. Also, the amount of food they served up was VERY generous, absolutely huge portions. I definitely left fat and happy! haha I was amazed at the quality and amount of food I got for the price, very reasonable I think. I wanted to give a big shout-out to our waitress for splitting up the checks - I know that is tedious and aggravating but she was very accommodating and patient with us!
