Can't even explain how amazing my Italian sub was tonight. I got a larger Italian sub toasted with raw onions on it and I can't even explain the crunch and the consistency of the sandwich was beyond perfection. Usually if you get a sub with oil and vinegar on it it gets soggy after 10-20 minutes. This was not even close to getting soggy! Crunch all the way through the whole sub! I don't think that there are that many people who don't know of Tastys in Beverly. Personally, my husband and I have been going there since middle school which let's say has been a very very long time Not once have I ever been disappointed with my food or their service but the events tonight changed how I feel about them completely. I'm not sure if it's new owners, new staff or what but I don't think I'll ever go back. Here's why. Tonight we figured we would treat the kiddos and of course ourselves to some takeout. Everyone agreed on Tastys so as usual we called, placed our order and this time we decided to have it delivered which we rarely ever do. We were told our order would arrive in 30 to 40 mins which was reasonable. After an hour goes by we call just to see how much longer (kids don't have to much patience when hungry) was told the driver just left. Perfect! It's delivered and the hubby starts to give everyone their meals (orders ranged from steaktips, chicken wings/fingers, subs and fries) and come to find out his sub was missing. So as anyone would do he called and informed them that we didn't get his sub. For the next 5 mins he had to keep telling him that he checked the bag and it was not in it. C'mon we ordered 5 meals and it was delivered in 1 bag how long and how many times do you have to search the same bag and keep telling them it was not there. So finally they agreed to make another and because he was hungry he told them he would pick it up (we already waited for delivery once why wait again). He gets there and the 2 front end people were nice and apologized however, the cook whole different story. He made him a large sub (1st order was a small) which he thought was because of the mistake who knows maybe it was but he kept asking, "You sure you checked the bag? I made it I know it was in the bag". He basically was accusing him of lying about not getting the sub. Seriously, it's a sub! I understand some jerks lie to get something for free but that's not us. If that was true why didn't we just make the driver come back with it instead of driving to your business to pick it up? We already paid for delivery he didn't have to go pick up his food. He came home and was shocked at the treatment he received. Of course I couldn't let it go and decided to called to make a complaint about being accused of trying to get free food, lying or whatever they were accusing us of. That didn't go over well. Whomever I spoke to was quite defensive. So I figured I would speak my mind louder than him and then just hang up which is what I did. Nothing was going to change his/their mind and I was definitely not going to get an apology. So now time to eat which will make all this bs worth it.......ummm nope more disappointment. The salads were just lettuce with 3 tomatoes no cucumbers, carrots or anything else. The steaktips looked like it was cut up for a child maybe 3 tips if that which were seasoned but dry, onion rings were over cooked to hard to eat and fries weren't fresh. Needless to say we spent over $75 for everything and no one was happy with their meal. The kids still decided to eat what they could they didn't want to waste it however, I just couldn't eat any of it. This food was definitely not the Tastys I remember everything was beyond disappointing. So now this lovely Friday night has ended with me typing this review while having a bowl of cereal for dinner..... what a waste!! read more

I have given up on this place. Always liked their Italian subs but seems like you never know if the bread is going to be fresh or not. It's hit or miss. When you spend over $30 for 2 subs and a bag of chips, you should be guaranteed fresh bread everytime. This is not the case. Unfortunately I will not be going there anymore. read more

Tried Tasty Subs for the first time today and was very satisfied. I walked in to pick up my sandwich and was greeted immediately. I noticed that the kitchen and interior was spotless and the staff very friendly. I ordered the chicken/eggplant parm sub and did not disappoint. Very tasty, great roll, and stuffed to the brim. Okay, overall this place is fabulous! Highly highly recommend the chicken fingers and empanadas. The empanadas come w/ a variety of fillings my personal favorite of the pork it is so tasty! You really need to get a few even if it is just for an appetizer as they are pretty small! I had heard rave reviews about the Italian sub here and unfortunately my husband and I were disappointed by it - it was decent but one of the meats tasted very smokey which I did not like, at all. All of the other sandwiches we have had from here never disappoint. I wish they were open later but we will absolutely continue to order from here when timing allows! read more

Typical local sub shop, on a par with Betty Ann's in Danvers, but unlike Betty Ann's, these folks actually observe health codes and wear gloves. :) Very tasty indeed, and the folks who work there are extremely pleasant. The italian subs and tuna subs are particularly good. read more

Best subs in Beverly. The large subs are $6.50, but they are enough for a dinner and lunch the next day. Went in the other day and saw a sign for pickle subs. All I have to say is FUCK YEAH! The small pickle sub is like 3 bucks. You can add cheese for 50 cents. It's quite small inside, but I didn't eat there anyways. They have free delivery with an order over 10 dollars. I was a huge fan of Tasty's back in the day. It was definitely the hang out spot for memorial and BHS kids back when it was owned by the Migos's. Before the previous owners relocated to NH they did some rearranging which made room for some seats inside. The new owners were friends of the previous owners and it seems little has changed. My daugter always wanted to order tasty subs when i lived a little further away, but had never actually been there or looked to see where they were, I ended up moving closer and the first day I walked in there they treated me as if they'd known me all their lives, I've even walked in there on my way home as they were closing, they never acted as though I wasn't welcome, if it's not busy they take time out to talk with you. Haven't been disappointed in any sub so far. I love tasty subs. I went there in high school, 1998-2002, and I go there now. I don't think much has changed. Some people complain about the price, but I don't think they are expensive. Their large subs are huge. I want to say that they offered a cheaper "extra small" size or something back when Memorial had kids in it, but I can't remember exactly. Super Sub may have the best cheese steak in town, but Tasty's is a great place too. read more

I have Ordered from here for years approximately 25 years. The subs over the years have gotten a bit smaller (internal fillings) compared to previous owners. The overall Taste is still good. The Hours of operation are restrictive and weekend hours are even more restrictive. So if you can be hungry on their time your all set. I don't expect 24 hour service but 8 pm close M-Sat with the right advertisement people would frequent more. But I'm constantly calling and their either closing or closed...PLUS if you ask for delivery you can't add a tip to the credit card slip..its a customer inconvenience. Matter of fact i was just going to order from there but they close on a Saturday at 3:00 pm. They have one employee that is always very nice she works the front counter and sometimes delivers. read more

What is wrong with restaurants here in Beverly that scant stay open later than 8 or 8 thirty on a Thursday Friday, or even a Saturday. Since moving here I feel the sidewalks rolls up by 8, and that's pushing it. Used to 11 0r Chinese ones on Friday or a Saturday opened till 1 or better. At least they stay open till last call in the bars. Figuring out people get hungary after all the booze theire girl, or boy, or friends just did. And no one cook, cause they went out directly after work.. ive lived on east coast, west coast, middle of the road and on one closed shop like this town. I figurare they loose, two or more takeout a week just on me, and in the summer probably more. Who wants a hot kitchen when humidity and temp are 70ty or above at 9, 10 and yeast even 11 pm. Even the witching hour has been known to come and pass I was was able to order hot or cold of most any type of food I like. You guys on a Friday or Saturday night must loose big if it can be done in other places. Love your food, hate your early closing. Cause I'm hungry now and your or most everyone else I can't order food on. It's sucks for me and must hurt your pocketbooks. I'd rate u higher if it were not for the early closing. read more

Love tasty's, better with the previous owners when I was in high school- more friendly!! the only downfall is thier "famous" pickle sub, is now pickles only, anything else and it is considered a vegetarian... I can't Justify $7.00 for a pickle and tomato sub. it was much better when the "extras" on a pickle sub where 25 - 50 cents a piece. but that is my only real complaint!! they have the best bread, the best mayo, and the best oil!!!! Of course we all know there are a lot of sub shops to visit on the north shore, but what sets Tasty's apart is the staff. The people care about the quality of the food and the service they provide. Our team received a platter of sandwiches from Tasty's for our Light the Night walk to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Not only did Tasty's provided us with a delicious dinner, they helped us coordinate getting other items we needed for our big walk. They may be small business owners but they have huge hearts and give back to their community!! Plus, who can beat a pickle sub?!? read more
