Boyfriends fries were cold when the waitress brought his food to the table with his sandwich. So, we asked for fresh fries and the waitress actually came to the table and asked to have the fries off of his plate. This is the noisiest restaurant I've ever eaten in. Ever. Anywhere. So be prepared to have to shout at your dinner companion to be heard. But, don't bother going here in the first place because the food isn't really that great. It's the typical cheap American food that comes in cans and plastic bags to restaurants. The service is beyond bad. The worst I've ever experienced anywhere. Ever. Really. It took an hour and a half for our dinners to arrive, and one person never even got his dinner! Great atmosphere, fantastic servers, and entertaining for the kids. The only issue we had was consistency-- the Greek potatoes are one of their staples, but we've had a few anomalies where they were overly salted and inedible. This is a great place to eat. I have eaten here for lunch with a big group and it's perfect for that. It's a family friendly restaurant as well. We found enjoyment in the theme of the restaurant. The menu had dishes named after planes and stuff. I enjoyed my food and everyone at my table said theirs was good. We had two waitresses at my table and they were great. The food is mediocre at best. The country fried steak is a frozen chunk of batter with powdered mix gravy. The staff is treated terrible! If you're sitting near the kitchen, you can hear the manager/owner yelling at the waitstaff. The games for the kids are too expensive considering you can take your kids to a well known pizza place and play games for a quarter. I just am not sure why people run restaurants if they are just going to deep fry frozen food that was made elsewhere... that's not cooking, that's just reheating. After i placed my order an additional 40 minutes (for a sandwich) my food was cold and the server only came to bring my drink and food. Piss poor service and food. This is a pretty cool joint. The decor is fun. It's all airplanes and military paraphernalia. My husband and I are Veterans so we can appreciate that. We ordered the chicken cordon blue and Stromboli. Both came with salad. I've never been excited by a salad but this salad was fantastic! Leafy fresh greens house made croutons, it was great. The rest of our meal was just as good. The chicken was great, a touch to much sauce on it but it was at least s good sauce! The Stromboli was s French style Stromboli. This place is really hit or miss in my experience. I've had great service with just okay food. I've had absolutely horrible service--in which every table around me got sat, ordered, received, and finished their food in the time it took to just get mine. I don't care how busy it is, an hour is too long to wait for a sandwich, especially when the sandwich isn't all that great. And i've had meh service compensated for with free cheesecake. Flight Deck would never be able to get away with not having a corn beef sandwich, in New York. I guess in South Carolina people don't like corn beef. I've gone to Flight Deck ever since I moved to Columbia in 2002. The sandwich selection is huge, they seem to have it all... But saddly no corn beef! If your in the mood for a good sandwich in a place with a ton of character then Flight Deck is a good choice. One last thing the sandwiches are all right but I'd stay away from anything else so far I haven't had any entrée that knocks my socks off or even moves them in the slightest. I have lived in Lexington my entire life, and I have to say this was my first and probably my last time coming here. I came here in the middle of the day, they were not busy at all, total of 4-5 tables in the restaurant. I like the decor and the fact it is connected to an arcade. The downside is the food, most of it is frozen, and not very tasteful. I had the chicken cordon blue over mashed potatoes. The cordon blue was not good, you could tell it was frozen and fried. I only ate 1/4 of the chicken before pushing it to the side and just eating my mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. The server saw that the chicken was pushed to the side and had not been touched but asked nothing of it. Had some sweet potato fries which were hard and sent back just to get more hard fries, server did not ask if the reorder was any better, just placed them on the table and walked away. Sweet tea was just tea, not even sweet. The only food that was alright was the potatoes and Mac n cheese. The food was over priced and definitely not worth it, the only good thing was the $9 slice of cake. read more

My kids went ape when we discovered it; there's actually a 3-D mural of King Kong! The decor is something you really just have to see. This place is constantly packed because the food is amazing and the service is great. Understand that it is a family friendly restaurant so you will probably hear a screaming baby or have a kid playing in your hair at some point of your dining experience due to the extremely close quarters of the seats/booths. Still, it's a fun dining experience with the right drink which the bartender personally delivers and waits to ensure you approve of your drink. I've never had that happen before so kudos to that gentleman for taking such pride in his work.
