Me and my parents went here on Mother's Day, my mom ordered this (don't remember what it's called) WE DIDNT KNOW IT WAS GONNA BE THIS BIG, mind u we sat on a small round table which was like at a small little corner, EVEN THE WAITRESS FORGOT ABOUT US THE WHOLE NIGHT. The food was plain, they didn't ask her why kind of tortillas she wanted (she has a gluten allergy). I got the ribeye that included smashed potatoes, the steak was great the mashed potatoes was HORRIBLE, the texture was like cheese and even the taste was like cheese all I ate was the meat, three little pieces of carrots and green onions that it came with. read more

Thx to our server, Faith, on Mothers Day!! She made it so SPECIAL!! BTW the Prime Rib and the rest of the buffet was incredible!!

I was happy that something was replacing Miguel's because I was never a fan after my wife and I got food poisoning there. My family tried this place this week, and I was extremely disappointed and will not be going back. I was expecting them to be trying to compete with Javier's based on their menu. To start with the decor looks more like a converted Marie Callendars than a high end mexican restaurant. The chips and salsa were ok, the queso was served lukewarm. All of the entrees were underwhelming to bad, and since we had a good sized party we got to try a lot of different things. A lot of the food came out cold. The tamarind margarita was probably the sweetest margarita I've ever had at a restaurant. Tasted like koolaid. We will be sticking to Javier's if we want fancy Mexican food. read more

The restaurant is pretty lively and the decor upscale and nice. Tall palm trees, dark wood. A little disconnect with the name and the menu. I was kind of surprised it was Mexican food. But that was no big deal. The staff were very friendly. We were greeted and offered welcome margarita. Those were very nice, a little on the sweet side, but it was complimentary. The table is lovely, seats 5-6 people. Ambiance was above average. The wait staff was very friendly. Our person was attentive came right away and circled back enough to be attentive but not distracting. The menu has great variety and we settled on chicken fajitas and carne asada enchiladas. The table salsa, cream dip and nacho chips were addictive. I polished off a whole basket while waiting. The enchiladas came and they were nice . I could have used a little more spice but the filling was tasty. 7 out 10. My wife's order was not correct. They brought her carnitas fajitas not chicken. It had to go back. My wife and I ended up sharing my enchilada plate (2 enchiladas ) then waited and waited and waited for the fajitas to come. We finished off my plate of enchiladas and we were running out of time and needed to go home, as our dog needed to be let out . The order finally arrived and We had to ask to have it packed to go. The plate arrived without the tortillas . So we had to ask for the tortillas on top of that. The bill can out to $72 for chicken fajitas and 2 enchiladas! That's a little steep for what we got and for how it was delivered. The server mentioned that the manager was going to come speak to us, but that person did not ever show up. It was a little disappointing that we had waited so long for this order , had to pack it, and then all parts of the order wasn't even delivered without us having to ask for it. Due to the price , the service (although our waitress was very nice) but overall, and the lack of attentiveness from the manager, I would say it was 2 out 5 stars. What could have really made a difference. An apology from the manager. An offer to split on the meal we now had to take home, at least some acknowledgment that we were inconvenienced. I just think it was a missed opportunity for someone to try and salvage a lackluster night out . read more

Great Atmosphere, Amazing Service and Tasty Food! We walked in to management opening the door, hostess warming greeting us and the server (Eddie) being attendant and on point. The presentation for the Fajitas for Two was amazing and tasted as good as it looked! Fletcha's did not disappoint, already looking forward to coming back again! read more

I just came here for the second time in a week and ordered the same thing both times. The surf and turf fajitas. It was so fresh and hot coming to the table. The one suggestion I'd make is to have them sizzling when they come out. I love when I go to other mexican restaurants and it's still so hot and cooking right in front of me. Don't get me wrong, it still tasted fresh and delicious but just a personal preference of mine to see the sizzle. We also got the tableside guacamole both times and it was awesome. Chloe made it for us and even though it was her first day working there, she still pulled it off like a well seasoned veteran. Our drinks never went empty and the servers are all so great. This is a vast improvement over Miguels and we're glad to see how the food stepped up a notch. It's a little bit on the higher priced side compared to other casual dining mexican food restaurants but the portions are hearty and the quality and taste of the food make it well worth the price. read more

It's a great atmosphere and the service team is very nice, but unfortunately even though it wasn't a busy night: the food, picking up, and getting the check, took a very long time. The food was good, but for how expensive it was, not worth it to be honest. 2 of our members also got dirty silverware, which is interesting. Alcoholic drinks were very good though and looked nice . read more

We just dined here for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! We were greeted at the door with a welcoming margarita! Mind you, this was day two of their opening. They were well organized. Our work party of 9 had attentive service from start to finish. The chips, salad and cheese sauce were on the table, free and enjoyed by all. Our servers Eddie and Ghio guided us through the extensive menu. My husband and I each had Cadillac margaritas, tasty and potent, and decided to share two appetizers, pork belly flautas and crispy calamari. Both were very large portions and quite flavorful, and everyone in our party enjoyed their choices! We understand that the mole was very good. We are very impressed with the quality of the food, the wonderful service, and the ambience We will return. read more

We had a bad experience here. First off the hostess offered the people in front of me a complimentary drink. I came next didn't offer so I didn't ask then offered to the people behind me, strange but ok. She asked if we preferred inside or out. I asked my son he said he didn't care so I said either is fine. A little while later, the people came in behind us were seated so I asked if they had a reservation and she said no, and I asked why were they seated before us and she just stared at me. Then she said, I thought you didn't want to sit outside. OK, she made a mistake fine. Then I see her call over one of the other employees a she pointed at us. That employee came over a few minutes later and took us to a table. Unprofessional but ok. We sat down and I asked the waiter if the flautas were the same as the previous restaurant he said he didn't know. He said he wasn't very familiar with the menu and hadn't been to the previous restaurant. OK, no problem. I decide to order the flautas anyway, and when they come ralutas are traditionally in flour tortillas, they're in corn tortillas so they're basically rolled tacos. Strange (and I don't eat corn tortillas so this is a problem, but I ordered it and I feel like it's not their issue. It's mine so I decide to eat them.). They are supposed to be pork and it's very obvious that they're chicken. I tell the waiter and he sends over the manager and she says yes that's obviously chicken. She takes them back, brings another plate. They are exactly the same. I eat one of them and they are absolutely terrible. They're supposed to have cheese inside. It taste like there's no cheese in there. There's barely anything on top and they're in corn tortillas which I hate. So I eat one and we pay the bill and go. The manager did bring us a gift card to apologize so we would return and we were nice about it and she was very nice about it but I wouldn't go back. Based on the restaurant that was there before the prices are much higher. The food quality is not as good and who would ever call a rolled taco a flauta? They need to fix that! read more

On Sunday late afternoon, the restaurant as practically empty. Perhaps we hit a lull period. However, with entrees and appetizers averaging $20 each, this family-friendly community would easily spend $100 for one meal for a family of four. The food, service and venue were all great from the bar to our table for dinner. I would recommend.

12/29/25 When we first walked in we were surprised by how amazing the place looks. The hostess was so welcoming and nice! Food was delicious. We ordered our food all at once and I was worried it would come out back to back too quickly. It was perfectly spaced out. Steak was cooked perfectly and all our food was delicious. Our server, Taylor, was so nice and personable. She constantly checked in after our food came out each time. It was also so nice to see what looked like managers helping run food and checking in on tables also. Food and service was a 10/10! Ambiance was so nice I would love see more young people come in. Can't wait to try brunch next! read more

Really mixed feelings! We've been here twice. The space is very nice, especially outdoors. But we've had issues with the service. No one came to greet us for over 10 minutes. No free chips and queso because they were out of bowls to serve them in. Drinks came at the same time as our food. And the food has been somewhat mixed. My daughter loved her brunch pancakes. But the other food has been somewhat underwhelming especially for the prices. I wouldn't NOT go here if someone else wanted us to go but I also wouldn't recommend it. Except for the Elderberry spritz which was delightful. read more

I have been to this place a couple times. The regular menu is a little spendy but the food and margaritas are pretty good and the place has a good feel (and the patio is nice, I take my dogs so this is important to me). They added 9-close happy hour on Thursday night so we went last Thursday. It says on menu happy hour is served in bar and cantina. I called to make sure there's an outside area in said cantina. There is, with a TV so we could watch the Nuggets lose. When i walked in, I said we're here for happy hour (since you need to be in a designated area for happy hour, which is weird). The hostess then seats us in the regular patio area ... you have to go up the three stairs to cantina patio area to have happy hour. Does the hostess not know this? The waitress moved us. The asada fries were great, but the taquitos were overcooked. Next time, asada fries and street tacos. read more

I don't give too many reviews. I only feel the need to speak out when the restaurant is really good or really bad. I don't know how this restaurant has four stars. I ordered the eggs Benedict with a chorizo eggs Benedict and a salmon egg Benedict. My dad ordered a chili relano with Carne Asada. Before the meal, they brought us queso dip and salsa. Everything in our meal was so bland. It's as if they don't have any seasoning in the kitchen at all. My hollandaise sauce was bland, my hashbrowns were bland, the queso dip was bland, the Carne Asada was bland. The only good food were the chips and the salsa. The only reason why I gave this two stars was because the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was excellent. They should fire the chefs and hire new ones that know how to cook. read more

Good, but way over priced for what you get. The ambiance is great, the food is just okay

Heard Mr. Walhlberg opened a restaurant and cantina in San Diego and decided to give it a shot. The ambiance and service were great. I was greeted with a free margarita drink which was surprisingly delicious. We were a party of 5 and we ordered different meals and a few appetizers. We ordered the Camaron ceviche and the coconut shrimp. I'd give them a 6-10. We ordered the Carnitas, verde enchiladas, the sea bass, carne asada fajitas and carne asada salad. Most of the meals came with rice and beans. For the rice and beans I give it a 0-10, the verde enchiladas were ok I give them a 4-10. The verde salsa tasted like it was from a can or bottle not freshly made. The carne asada we give it a 5-10 because it lacked flavor. The Seebass was good 7-10. The salad dressing was a cilantro lime dressing and was delicious. The food was not to par or as expected for Mexican food but the service was great. Better than expected. Glad we tried it out but won't be going back. Maybe for drinks but not food. Oh! Almost forgot! The chips, salsa and cheese dip was good. 9-10. read more

Salsa and flan were tasty and cool decor, but would never go back. Food was overall flavorless and boring. Service wasn't great. Went thirty looking for waitress. Had shrimp fajitas and street tacos. I think they forgot all seasoning! Even queso they served w chips was bland and tasted like nothing. Skip it and go to any other place in SD. read more

What an interesting experience. Before leaving home, I checked for online reservations and every time spot had openings so I didn't feel the need. We got to the door and host asked if we had reservations. We said no. She said that'll be a 1/2hr wait please. This was 6:43. I went on my phone and made the next available reservation, 6:45. I went back to host and said we have reservations. She said we would be seated shortly.....food was on par with Miguel's, we lucked out and got a great waitress. We shared calamari and salsa flight. The salsa came with these weird crackers that we didn't find tasteful. I had chicken mole, the sauce was decent (5/10) the chicken tasted off. Not spoiled bad, just not quality chicken. The mezcal Negroni was tasty, but not $18 tasty. I did get a second one since my wife ordered a coke. Sadly for her, they serve Pepsi. I'll go back if someone else is buying. read more

Our first visit to the restaurant was wonderful. The food was good. Not amazing but good. Certainly better than the previous operation at that location. But the following 3 visits were not so great. For a family members birthday they did not bother bringing the desert at the end and the service was slow. Then for a take-out order they made us wait 20 minutes even though the food had been sitting on the counter the whole time. And on this last visit at the bar the service was terrible. The food never arrived. Our multiple requests for chips and salsa were never taken care of. And when we complained to the manager he was abrupt with us. Simply not acceptable. We will not return. Maybe Mark Wahlberg should stick to acting because he does not know how to ensure quality at his restaurant. read more

Came to Flecha for the first time and had an incredible experience, largely thanks to Eddie. From the moment my family of four sat down, Eddie took amazing care of us. He was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed the entire time. Made a reservation for a rare date night. Was sat immediately and waited 25 minutes without even one server stopping at our table. No water, no "hello", nothing. Couldn't even flag down someone or see a manager to ask for service. We walked out and will never give this place another chance. The service we did see happening was slow and dismissive. Too bad. At least Miguel's had good service before this place took its spot. They have no place on their web site to contact anyone either, so it looks like they aren't interested in feedback. read more

Tim great bartender, i'll be back frequently because that is what I expect in the best of bartender's

Don't drink the water unless you're prepared to pay $8 per bottle - complete sticker shock to us when we came in for happy hour pricing.

My hubby and I stopped by for lunch. If you are not picky about Mexican food, you might enjoy this place. It's definitely what kids nowadays would call "mid". We never received chips/salsa and had to wait awhile to get a water refill. This is not the type of service I would expect from an upscale restaurant. Sorry Marky! Still love you! read more

I didn't want to believe the reviews about this place and went in knowing there would be haters just hating for the sake of it, but boy, were they correct. We walked in and were greeted with a welcome margarita. It was cloyingly sweet, but hey--free is free. We sat at the open bar seating and waited probably over 10 minutes for our server to appear. Once she showed up, we ordered the Municipal margarita to share and some sodas for the kids. We then waited at least another 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. The Coke my son ordered was out of syrup, which is forgivable--it happens. The margarita, on the other hand, was literally one of the worst drinks my wife and I have ever had, and it cost $40. The server promised chips and salsa, and another 20 minutes went by with nothing arriving. I finally took my boys and left the restaurant, having had about enough of this place. My wife stayed behind to pay for our drink, and the server finally brought the chips--only to promptly remove them from the table once my wife said she wanted the check. Don't waste your time here. It's unfortunate that a place like this is taking up such a nice piece of real estate in our neighborhood. read more

We were so excited to hopefully have a restaurant in the area that could replace Javiers. Unfortunately it did not quite make it. Here are the pros: - - cocktail at the door is a great touch - our waitress Joy is great. Kind, professional and efficient - queso is very good - decor and space is great - great Happy Hour The opportunities for improvement: - every single margarita tases like fruit punch. Very little character and WAY too sweet - fajitas were fine, but the flavors were just ok - wine list mediocre at best It's a fine neighborhood spot, but was hoping for more. read more

Updated review: My husband and I returned to Flecha to give it another chance since they had just opened the first time we went. This time I must say the service was excellent upon walking in and at the bar. A skinny margarita was absolutely amazing. It was so refreshing.. It's definitely I must try. We ordered the sampler appetizer plate. This was so delicious. The taquitos were cooked so perfectly (just the right amount of crunch with tender delicious chicken inside (most restaurants over-crisp/fry), the quesadilla is like no other restaurant we've tried so far. It was amazing.. The dipping sauces were so flavorful, so delicious. Flecha knocked it out of the park and we will definitely return! read more

Had the chance to visit Flecha today, and both my date and I were genuinely impressed. The food was excellent, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the overall experience felt well thought out. A special shoutout to our server, Roman. He was attentive without being overbearing and incredibly helpful with menu recommendations, all of which we ended up ordering and loved. What really stood out was his attention to detail: we asked for five more minutes to look over the menu, and he came back exactly five minutes later. That level of professionalism and timing doesn't go unnoticed. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We'll absolutely be back. read more

I recently went there for lunch with a big group. The welcoming margarita at the door was a nice touch, but too sweet. Our table was too crowded due to small tables and seating arrangement. Servers were nice but seemed like rookies and not well trained. Food looked over priced from the get go as well as the cocktails. From what I noticed from others food orders, the street tacos were not filling, the fajitas in the "hot" skillet were warm, not sizzling as one would expect. My sea bass for $45 was way too small. I basically got a big white plate with a small piece of way too fishy bass on a few asparagus spears. The best part was the Cadillac margarita. The overall rating of this place should be telling, but at the end of day, I didn't have to pay. Marky Mark should stick to movies. read more

Amazing food. Unbelievable quality and taste on the complimentary salsa. PORK BELLY tacos are an explosion of flavor in your mouth, tequila chicken tacos good, "El Chapo" pork chops very tasty. No room for dessert because the portions are very generous. Rice and beans too salty. Esquite, excellent but it is essentially street corn on a cob. Typically Esquite traditionally is completely different. Service amazing from beginning to end, we came at early lunch so it was not busy and we got a chance to appreciate the place. A bit loud so when it gets busier I'm sure it is a challenge. Bianca is the sweetest, friendly and professional, and remembers every detail. Takes care of you, without burdening with questions and keeps checking from afar. read more
