One of our friends came here before, had Gavin as her server and SWORE the best pizza ever was a mushroom and roasted garlic pizza. We quickly got in but I don't recall if my friend made reservations. I'd suggest making them just in case because this place was booked and busy, justifiably. FOOD: We shared 2 salads and 3 pizzas. It was a perfect amount of food for us. We also got a charcuterie board that we devoured before I could snag photos DRINKS: Both co their mocktail options (passion fruit and cucumber) were amazing. A few in our group got beers as well as a gin & juice which they loved. We didn't feel rushed and Gavin, our server was incredibly attentive. I had asked for the bacon/meat on the side for the pizza and when we asked to get the best salad, he already knew to put the bacon bits on the side for the salad too. He even snagged us more roasted garlic when our group needed a clove for each bite. He was so great! We'll be back for mor! Ask for Gavin, he's one of the best!

4.5/5 Overview:…read morefirst time at a golf simulator bar, really cool experience, kinda pricey, food was okay, but we had a fun time ---- Pricing: - $35 for 30 minutes (walk-in only) - $65 for 60 minutes - $100 for 90 minutes - $135 for 120 minutes - $10 for club set rentals ---- The simulator areas are in an open area, not private rooms, and behind the hitting area is a couch and a table with some chairs for people in your party to sit and rest. Sometimes the golf ball isn't sensed so make sure you see that it says the ball is sensed on the screen. Otherwise if you hit it, it will not register it. There are different game modes available like driving range, trying to aim into a bucket, or playing an actual game of golf. They also have an instant replay of the hitting area so that you can review your stroke and where you hit the ball. I see the appeal in if you are wanting to try out or work on different areas of golf. Like you can play an entire game without having to be in the hot sun, or see from a top-down view of your club placement when you strike the ball. ---- Food was alright, minus half a star. We ordered the pepperoni pizza ($14) which was steaming hot when it came out and had a crispy bottom. Just a standard pepperoni pizza, nothing amazing. Ambiance wasn't "bar-like" which I liked bc while there was music playing you could still hear your own conversations. Service was great we somehow managed to hit 2 tees on top of the hitting area and they gave us another one each time. Lots of parking bc it shares it with other businesses in the plaza. ---- Overall: whether you are a golf fanatic or just want to try something out, this is a pretty great place to experience. Pricing is basically a dollar a minute you're here, but they have a wide variety of game modes available and the comfort of being indoors.

They do have umbrellas everywhere but choose your seat wisely. Not all of them are under an umbrella. I ordered the lobster roll and to my surprise it was actually quite large. I think when compared to a place that their main menu item is a lobster roll, this restaurant charges more. Nonetheless it was pretty good and definitely filling. Seasoning was minimal so if you think you're getting a crab boil type taste, you're not. It came with fries which honestly aren't needed but they are nice to have. I also had the crème brûlée which never disappoints. I was there at quite a busy time with a somewhat larger group so service wasn't the quickest but it was complaint worthy. Staff is pretty accommodating to requests. The entire group didn't really have any complaints about the food. The 3 is based on price and being a little uncomfortable in the hot sun. We wouldn't mind going back.

NEW FOOD ITEMS * Yuzu Yellowtail Sashimi: Thick-cut slices arranged next to an eye-catching bed of shredded daikon, carrots, and greens. The plating was striking and matched the freshness of the fish. * Pinku Rolls: Yellowtail slices draped over spicy tuna rolls. The presentation was charming, with the pieces circling a heart-shaped cherry tomato in a nest of shredded veggies. * The Hot Night Roll: Generous slices of fresh yellowtail and salmon draped over a spicy tuna roll. * Curried Eggplant: Rich and flavorful chopped eggplant with harissa, tahini, and herbs. A great veggie option. SERVICE & VENUE * Special thanks to Anthony for the consistent and friendly service during this visit! * The bar area is darker and the volume rises as the crowd rolls in during the evenings. The dining area is brighter with the chandelier and open kitchen area. The patio is also available for fresh air and an open feel.

Our first visit in January we ordered the Lamb Chops which were amazing and cooked medium rare as is proper for Lamb Chops. The Salmon was cooked perfectly. Not over cooked. Skin was crispy. I cannot express the flavor in words. The second time we ordered the special 3-course prix fixe. For appetizers, the lobster bisque was sultry and the grilled shrimp prawns can with two huge prawns with roasted vegetables. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and not dry at all. It is easy for restaurants to make thick cut pork chop dry. Not at Avant! We also ordered the Beef Wellington (a special that was not on the menu). We didn't realize the Beef Wellington was sized for two people, hence the huge up charge. Beef Wellington was cooked medium rare which how its supposed to be prepared! The crust was more like a pipe crust than puff pastry. The pate is mushroom with swiss chard. I need to address another Yelp User's review of this restaurant complaining about the Beef Wellington: 1) If you dont like your beef medium rare, DO NOT order the Beef Wellington. Ask Chef Gordon Ramsey! Medium is considered over cooked in a Beef Wellington. The meat gets dry and tough. 2) The Beef Wellington is a special (typically on the weekend) with limited quantities and is not on the menu all the time. I heard the restaurant manager let other tables know the limited quantities and he needed to know ASAP if a diner was considering the Beef Wellington. 3) Please also note that Beef Wellington takes to 30 to 40 minutes because there is a 15 to 20 minute rest time. So be sure to order appetizers also to tie you over! The service here is fantastic! Blaine was great! The atmosphere is nice in dark woods. Just the right lighting. We are so glad to find Avant for our special occasions.

We ordered two different toasts, and both were so good--definitely the highlight. Each was around $13, which felt reasonable for the quality and portion. I also tried their unique PB latte, which was surprisingly delicious, along with a regular latte that was just as solid. Bonus points for the cute vibe--they also sell flower bouquets and other small items, which adds a nice touch to the space. Overall, I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area again.
