Since Flecha is officially one of the New Kids on the Block in the 4S/RB/Santa Luz scene, we had to see if it would be Hangin' Tough against the competition. Imagine stepping into a high-end Ensenada/Rosarito resto without the soul-crushing TJ lines. We dropped in to cap off the night with cocktails and dessert, and it did not disappoint. It's Mexi-Cali chic at its finest--a glitzy partnership between a premium tequila brand and a Hollywood A-lister that radiates some serious Good Vibrations. The aesthetic is moody and chef-driven, skipping the gaudy decor found in Old Town. Our community needed this fun diversification. The real "shut up and take my money" moment? Watching flaming ice cream and butter cake hit the table while sipping a Manhattan. Between the table-side pyrotechnics and the high-energy atmosphere, it's a total showstopper. Even if you're a bit of a Departed soul looking for a late-night fix, pairing a classic cocktail with a fire-fueled dessert is the ultimate way to level up your night and make you feel like you're part of the Entourage. The hospitality kicks off the second you walk in--because any place that greets you with a margarita has definitely got the Right Stuff. We sampled the peachy mango fruity marg, which was dangerously smooth. Despite the dining room being packed, the staff handled the chaos like absolute legends, ensuring our Boogie Nights didn't turn into a stressful slog. If you're craving a stylish "resort-life" escape, this hippity hop spot is a total home run. Highly recommended for when you want to feel fancy without the drive!

Overall very impressed with the food quality, portion size, ambience, and service of our Saturday brunch. The hospitality is immediate. We were warmly greeted with a complimentary glass of margarita which was a great first impression. I ordered the chilaquiles brunch, and I liked the option to get both red and green salsas which provided a great balance. When the plates arrived, my eyes grew from the surprise of the impressive portion sizes. Be prepared as you may be like me and need a togo box! The carne asada was very noteworthy because of its tenderness and flavor.

Really good happy hour M-F until 7:00! Complementary chips were good. Salsa was even better- garlicky! Queso was good, but lacked the tangy punch of Miguel's, which I believe had jalapeno pickle juice in it. $6 draft beers include a single IPA, Modelo and others. $6 tequila shot is a good deal. Tequila normally starts at $15! $8 Birria Quesadilla was pretty hearty and tasty. The money pitch for couples is one each of the $6 $8 and $10 apps for $20 ($4 off already good happy hour prices!) That's basically dinner for two for $20. Pleasant service from the three bartenders. I'll be back.

First time dining here for a friends 51st birthday and I must say, the restaurant is beautifully decorated interior and exterior in the patio area. The complimentary margaritas at entrance were a really nice touch to the restaurant and they were strong, which is a plus. This restaurant is located in the neighborhood of 4S RANCH and is a pretty pricey restaurant, assuming because of the area and celebrity owned. I've tried many celebrity owned restaurants and they have all been MID and underwhelming for the expectation of it being good The food was just okay and I wouldn't come back to dine here again because of the taste and price you pay for it. Flecha is known as "redefined Mexican" which sounds like a fancy term to hike up the prices. Our table got the half rack of ribs, which were fall off the bone if you like that, the 32oz short rib, typically when I think of a short rib dish, I think of something that's braised in red wine... but this is just a regular and tender beef rib, and lastly the ''most popular' entree, the chimichurri steak. Comes with the carne asada, very little chimichurri sauce, served with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach and was completely under seasoned. The margaritas were margaritas and nothing that stood out and made me think 'Wow' All desserts were okay as well and the tres leches is massive and will definitely need to be shared. Service was exceptional, our server was Bailey who was attentive, friendly, and great attitude so big shoutout to her. Large spacious restaurant to accommodate big parties with fireplaces and heat lamps scattered throughout the patio. Located in a shopping plaza so plenty of parking! We made reservations on a Saturday night for four just to be safe for 6pm, but it wasn't completely filled when we came. Would I recommend? I wouldn't, but happy yelping!

A refreshing replacement from former occupant Miguel's A little more upscale than the usual Mexican sit-down. Decore was nice, booth seats were a bit tights. Chips and salsa were good with the star being their red salsa. - Chile relleno was excellent. - Carne asada burrito was big. - Loud. Expecially if you dine by the bar area. If you're looking for more intimate conversation request seating in the room with the glass walls.

Came here on a Friday for dinner with a party of 4. It was pretty busy and we didn't have a reservation. We ended up waiting around 30-45min for a table. The vibe was a bit mixed. More casual but also some guests dressed a little nicer. The hostess stand had complimentary drinks for those waiting for a table, though we weren't offered any at first. We had to come back up to ask for it. My first time experiencing the "Gen Z service stare" We were brought chips, salsa and queso as we were seated. Pretty decent, I enjoyed the queso dip. For appetizer our waitress recommended the coconut shrimp and pistachio goat cheese. The shrimp had a fun presentation and I enjoyed the sauce it came with. The goat cheese was an unexpected highlight. The pita bread went great with it and they were able to bring extra as well. For entrees we got the Baja fish tacos and carnitas flautas. Both were pretty decent size servings. The fish could've been a bit more crispy and the flautas might've been a tad bit too hard. But both were still tasty and we definitely were stuffed. The side of rice and beans were good as well. We ordered the strawberry glazed butter cake for dessert and also got a complimentary dessert for a birthday. The butter cake was pretty good, not too sweet, even with the strawberry glaze. Our waitress was helpful, attentive and friendly. All our food came out in a timely manner. I enjoyed everything more than I thought, as I was excepting something more along the lines of Miguel's, as that was the previous restaurant. It's not exactly traditional Mexican food but everything was still delicious. I would consider coming back for brunch or happy hour.

Stopped by for happy hour. The inside is beautiful. Complimentary welcome marg was impressive and delightful. We got the pistachio goat cheese appetizer to share and that was 10/10. Great flavors sweet, spicy and tangy. Happy hour michelada was decent. Nothing stood out but for $6 it did the job. Friend got the cheese quesadilla which i didnt try but it looked great and filling and worth the price. I had the chicken taquitos which were pretty good, tasty filling and lots of toppings. We were pretty full at the end and for $20 each id say it was a good deal. Minus one star because Mark was no where to be found. The bar staff were all pretty cool people though.

Came here for HH one day. Had really high hopes for this place. Sweet: Good variety on the HH menu. The HH time frame is till 7 which is good. Sour: The margaritas came in different size cups and were not filled to the top. They give chips and white queso, it was the first time I didn't attempt to really eat it. It was not very good. The chips were stale and the cheese was a little gritty. We had a variety of tacos. The carnitas was a little dry but the pork belly was pretty decent. It was moist and had good flavor. I wish it came with salsa. My friend went a few weeks after and she said she saw one of the wall decorations covered in gnats.

Went here for the first time for happy hour and the deals were amazing!! Friendly staff. Nice interior (did not change much from when it was a Miguel's). Ordered their side salad which paired well with their creamy cilantro lime dressing, 2 pork belly tacos and 2 carne asada. Everything tasted great! Of course we also had multiple rounds of their chips, salsa and yummy queso. Drinks were also pretty good priced. Will be back!

3 stars because the spicy strawberry margarita definitely carried this meal. I visited on a Wednesday night with a party of 4. It was about a 20 minute wait to be seated but there were plenty of open tables. We intended to dine there for their happy hour menu but the server said only drinks were happy hour prices not food? So weird because we had a happy hour menu with food on it. Food was alright. Wasn't a fan of the corn or the calamari, the enchiladas were fine. They kept running out of chips. Clean and nicely designed restaurant though.

I wanted to celebrate my birthday at a place called Flecha that I had been really looking forward to trying. Fletcha is a modern Mexican restaurant located in 4S Ranch which is an upscale neighborhood in San Diego. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a delicious tequila and fruit juice welcome drink. Wow it was a surprise and it truly was the best drink ever! After that, we were promptly seated thanks to our reservation, at a nice large table, where we were served chips, salsa, and queso dip. The salsa was fresh tasting and not too hot, and the queso dip was creamy, delicious, and addicting! It was the perfect pair before the entree. Our server, Shane, was very professional and very friendly, describing dishes we had questions about. We ordered, and when our meals arrived, I, along with my family, were really happy with our food. I had ordered the Tequilla chicken salad which was perfection to the taste buds! After we finished our meals. I was surprisingly offered a complimentary strawberry butter cake which was so delicious along with a birthday card. Going the extra mile for the customer means a lot! I was truly grateful! I really enjoyed my birthday experience and will definitely be returning! I can't wait to try the rest of the dishes on the menu! Thank you Fletcha for such a memorable birthday experience! I was hoping to see Mark and personally meet and tell him how pleased I was. #yelpsandiego #fletchacantina #sandiego #sandiegocalifornia

Flecha has such a lovely ambiance! Located in 4S Ranch, which is specifically in the North County Inland area. I had known Flecha was owned by Mark Wahlberg and just wanted to dine at his restaurant to give it a try. Apparently, it was previously Miguel's Cocina. Flecha is known for "Mexican Redefined" cuisine. I was charmed by the beautiful outdoor patio seating, which was well-lit with plenty of string lights and offered plenty of seating. Our young server was very attentive to our dinner needs, especially when we requested a new batch of chips since they were a tad salty. Even with the new batch, the chips were still salty, but I couldn't resist stopping eating their red salsa. The only complaint regarding the server's service is that he should've gone over some of their alcoholic drinks just in case we were going to order alcohol. For appetizers, I shared the Pork Belly Flautas which turned out to be a surprisingly generous portio. I was really impressed by how hearty it was! For my main entrée, I ordered the Lobster Fajitas. The Pork Belly Flautas were irresistibly tasty and very moist, which made them not taste like they were deep-fried. As I was eating the Pork Belly Flautas, the mixture of the red onions with the peppers made all the flavors come together beautifully. For my main entrée, I ordered the lobster fajitas. I'd never had lobster in fajitas before, but they were impeccable and made a filling dish. I only wished there was a bit more lobster meat in them. Overall, I would return to Flecha in the future. Hopefully in the near future as a suggestion that maybe there could be a Flecha location in Chula Vista region.

I had such a great experience at Flecha Cantina. I love that they take reservations, and their happy hour runs from 3-7 PM, which is honestly rare these days and such a win. I ordered the chimichurri steak, which came with mashed potatoes and spinach--everything paired really well and was super flavorful. I also had a virgin margarita, which was delicious. The customer service really stood out. We were greeted warmly, checked on throughout our visit, and genuinely asked how our experience was. On top of that, they surprised me with a birthday card and a birthday dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. We also tried the strawberry cake, and it was so good. Overall, great food, great service, and thoughtful details that made the experience feel special. I would definitely recommend and would absolutely go back.

One of our friends came here before, had Gavin as her server and SWORE the best pizza ever was a mushroom and roasted garlic pizza. We quickly got in but I don't recall if my friend made reservations. I'd suggest making them just in case because this place was booked and busy, justifiably. FOOD: We shared 2 salads and 3 pizzas. Sometimes the golf ball isn't sensed so make sure you see that it says the ball is sensed on the screen. Otherwise if you hit it, it will not register it. There are different game modes available like driving range, trying to aim into a bucket, or playing an actual game of golf. They also have an instant replay of the hitting area so that you can review your stroke and where you hit the ball. I see the appeal in if you are wanting to try out or work on different areas of golf. Like you can play an entire game without having to be in the hot sun, or see from a top-down view of your club placement when you strike the ball. ---- Food was alright, minus half a star. We ordered the pepperoni pizza ($14) which was steaming hot when it came out and had a crispy bottom. Just a standard pepperoni pizza, nothing amazing. This deal is almost a steal. I had the scallops and pork belly duo and my sister had the fish, both were perfectly cooked! The dessert was the perfect finish. We came on a Wednesday evening and it was not busy at all.

Our first visit in January we ordered the Lamb Chops which were amazing and cooked medium rare as is proper for Lamb Chops. The Salmon was cooked perfectly. Not over cooked. Skin was crispy. I cannot express the flavor in words. The second time we ordered the special 3-course prix fixe. For appetizers, the lobster bisque was sultry and the grilled shrimp prawns can with two huge prawns with roasted vegetables. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and not dry at all. It is easy for restaurants to make thick cut pork chop dry. Not at Avant! We also ordered the Beef Wellington (a special that was not on the menu). We didn't realize the Beef Wellington was sized for two people, hence the huge up charge. Beef Wellington was cooked medium rare which how its supposed to be prepared! The crust was more like a pipe crust than puff pastry. The pate is mushroom with swiss chard. I need to address another Yelp User's review of this restaurant complaining about the Beef Wellington: 1) If you dont like your beef medium rare, DO NOT order the Beef Wellington. Ask Chef Gordon Ramsey! Medium is considered over cooked in a Beef Wellington. The meat gets dry and tough. 2) The Beef Wellington is a special (typically on the weekend) with limited quantities and is not on the menu all the time. I heard the restaurant manager let other tables know the limited quantities and he needed to know ASAP if a diner was considering the Beef Wellington. 3) Please also note that Beef Wellington takes to 30 to 40 minutes because there is a 15 to 20 minute rest time. So be sure to order appetizers also to tie you over! The service here is fantastic! Blaine was great! The atmosphere is nice in dark woods. Just the right lighting. We are so glad to find Avant for our special occasions.
