I really liked the location. Sunlight comes in nicely warm through the windows in a fall day. The view of the trees really relaxes you. The decor is nice so you can decide between a bar ambiance or a fancier one next to the kitchen. Staff is very friendly and patient. But they can get slow when customers start arriving later on (they open at 4 pm :S). Everybody was always around :) My rating is for the food. It is very nicely plated. I really was surprised! Beautiful. We came over for the escargots because we love them! But there was lacking this popping wow taste. We were also interested in the duck. Although it arrived in a flaming fancy way (which I liked because it is different and fun!), it was lacking seasoning. Very nicely plating too. But we were not that engaged about the taste and for the price, it was just OK. I tried also the clams which were something different and you should try them! They are good with coconut curry! Had an amazing dinner here Sunday night - wasn't busy so no wait. As usual, the service and atmosphere is top notch. All the staff were excellent. Started with Yazu Caprese, which was good - I believe there is a touch of pesto in the recipe which was a nice addition. Followed that up with cup of smoked salmon chowder, which was some of the best chowder I've ever had. Sazerac from the bar was quite good, noticed an improvement since the last time we visited around a year ago. We got the smoked scallop mornay and the saku (forgot exact name) which was a seared tuna dish. Both were excellent! I opted for adding scallops to the saku dish as well which went great with the wasabi and sauce. Desert was the creme brûlée and the "zongo". Creme brûlée was great, traditional in approach but perfectly made. Zongo was amazingly good - something along the lines of a state fair elephant ear, filled with bananas foster type filling and served with ice cream. The outside is covered in cinnamon and sugar. Holy cow, it was good. Presentation was all A+, they put a lot of effect into make it a very classy experience. We plan to come back more regularly. read more

Our first time at this under the radar gem. Unbelievably good service, lovely fine-dining white tablecloth atmosphere. We ordered a lot of food to try to sample as much as possible. 2 cocktails to start that were excellent. I will say the beet salad was the absolute best we have ever had--the quality and balance of flavors/ingredients was superb. I had the cauliflower soup without the crab as I am allergic. It was fine, but a touch too much truffle oil for my palate so I stole my husband's beet salad. We had a cheese course, and then he had the rabbit with gnocchi . That was an amazingly good dish. We just moved to a new house, so Duvall is within range for a casual dinner now. It's worth the drive. The decor here is eclectic - I love the artwork, and the changing colored lighting gives it movement. The tables are comfortable and properly distanced for COVID. It makes the experience more intimate and I enjoyed that. Starting drink - a Lemon Basil Drop - it's a lemon drop, nothing special. The basil is too subtle, and the leaf on the top of the drink didn't enhance the drink. For an appetizer, we chose to share the Seafood Empanadas. The casing was flaky, and the filling mild but delicious, consisting of mainly white seafood - cod and scallops. The dressing was tomato based and the baked cherry tomatoes (which had been cooled) were great. For a main course, I opted for the Seafood Pappardelle. It was way over salted, to the point where it dominated every single taste. I enjoyed the seafood, but won't be getting this again. My partner got a rack of lamb that was visually stunning and she said was tasty. For dessert, we shared a Deconstructed Tropical Banana Split. Each component - blueberry compote, chocolate sauce, strawberries, coconut ice cream, and fried bananas - was great on its own, but I particularly enjoyed mixing the blueberry with the ice cream, and bananas plus chocolate is classic. The presentation on a charcuterie board was amazing. We'll be back, but I'll be ordering a different main course next time. read more

Wow, what an unbelievable find!!! We had eaten everywhere in Duvall, but didn't know this place even existed. (Hadn't checked Yelp for places to eat in Duvall apparently!). We had a Manhattan and Sazerac to start, with the Pithon Meatballs and Braised Pear salad (should've been a dessert) as appetizers. The Filet Minon with Morels and Asparagus, and the Sea Scallops for our main course, and the Banana Foster for dessert. And to top it off, Hunter, our bartender, knew how to make one of the best Spanish Coffees I've ever had. And I've had a lot. (See my blog at www.spanishcoffeereview.com) I would expect to see a restaurant of this quality in the Bravern in Bellevue or in Belltown in Seattle, but nope. It's in a completely non-descript building on Duvall mainstreet that you would never know is there. The decor and atmosphere were perfect, and the waitstaff was SUPER friendly. My fiancé surprised me Sunday evening taking me on a date to this amazing little bistro in Duvall. Just walking in through the restaurant you could feel the ambience of the establishment. The food was absolutely outstanding. The lobster bisque was delicious. Everything was presented in the most artistic and professional manner. Our waitress Cam was attentive, knowledgeable and made the experience one of a kind. From beginning to end, including the blue ice water to the hot towels at the end to top it off was more than what ever could be expected. Chef Sean Langan even came out to meet us! Dining out is such an experience when the menu options are delectably unexpected and attention to details are a surprise. This restaurant ranks as one of my all time best dining experience along side Alturra in Seattle and Hells Kitchen in Las Vegas. Chef Sean Langan treats reservation guests with truffle herbed popcorn with freshly shaved parmesan upon arrival paired with infused water. Chef Sean also comes to the table to greet each guests then again to check on your dining experience making one feel very special. The meal ends with a presentation of towelettes being moistened as the server pours warm water from a tea pot into individual dishes for each guest. But, most importantly the food reflects the name, FLAVOUR. I've had many of the menu options and each dish is full of flavor and plated beautifully. The best dining experience I have had in the PNW since I moved here from Chicago 27 yrs ago. Don't believe when other restaurants give excused about their service...this place set the gold standard in service and experience! From the extras like smoke truffle popcorn, sweet pea infused blue water, to truly smoked before your eyes scallops! Our server wa great and the chef came out and checked in on us! Wow! The chef pairs the just right foods... What a perfect place to have a night out with your significant other. My husband and I enjoyed the pepper steak and smoked scallops. The kids had the chicken nachatta and lobster pappardelle and they enjoyed every bite. My steak was prepared to the perfect temperature and the smoked scallops were incredible. We had dessert to go. This place can be a hit or miss for the money it is a bit inconsistent at times. Bartender is slow, drink prices are at a premium but the pours are a bit short. Duvall is about to harbor one fabulous new venue in center of town. Chef Sean Langan is no stranger to the eastside, having made his mark already with the former Fall City Bistro. Here, he's refined the casual fine dining approach with a room that just makes perfect sense. The space is well thought out. You immediately get it without feeling intimidated. Each and every table is a scene stealer and makes you feel part of the theatre that's set for restaurant show-time. Elements of the menu could be called Asian inspired, but this is a misleading label. I would call it Global Influenced. New American, even - provided it includes a very generous cuisine immigration program. No travel ban on this menu, lots of food culture coming from this kitchen for sure. There will be something on this Flavour tour for everyone. House Crafted cocktails and a straightforward wine list that won't flag your credit cards. Romantic, sunset-view fine-dining restaurant *in Duvall!* It doesn't look like much when you pass the old storefront on Main St in Duvall, or when you walk up the breezeway inside the building, but hidden in the back you will find a charming little restaurant with a territorial view of the Snoqualmie river valley. We had a lovely evening here, listening to a fantastic guitar duo playing live music ranging from jazz standards to the Beatles and Led Zep, drinking in the views of the sunset, and eating excellent food. Flaming scallops, osso buco, a little good wine, what more could one want out of life? Well, for one, dessert. I've never had a better creme brulee, silky smooth and gently vanilla-scented, with just the right thickness of carmelized sugar shell. This definitely belongs on the short list of Eastside places to go when we want a first-class night out. read more

The decor is very attractive and the servers pleasant. Food delivery on a Sunday brunch was very slow; and the omelet looked like a yellow log with very little visual appeal. The potatoes were so spicy/hot we had to ask for a replacement. There wasn't a bit of garnish on the omelet or the plate to bolster the appearance. Tried this restaurant for a second time after a not very great experience the first time. It is really expensive so I expected a stellar dinner. It wasn't even close. I don't know if we just hit a bad night or what but the food was not great. I turned my spinach salad back because it had a few rotten leaves in it. Then my vegetarian Wellington came out cold in the middle. When I sent it back they just threw it on the grill and gave it back slightly warm. It gave me horrible indigestion! But in all seriousness, Flavour Bistro is a marvelous gem. The chef is extremely talented, everything is made fresh (that's right- that steak was seared seconds before it hit your lips), the atmosphere is lovely, almost everything off the menu is made in-house (wait, restaurants still do that?), and a plethora of ingredients are sourced locally. Strange decor. Welcoming staff. Drinks and service were the only reason for any stars. Rabbit & gnocchi was sent out and was rancid...to the extent where you could see the dried out meat inside, looked like it had been heated and reheated over and over. Soup replacement was no better. Stated it was parsnip with dungeness crab and truffle, oil on top was not truffle and it was swimming in it. The soup tasted like pureed tart yogurt and the crab was bitter. The bacon dish was okay but way to salty. Beef stroganoff was a let down as well. Tasted like braised left over prime rib, was definitely not short rib. Had no seasoning, not house made pasta and boring. At the prices would expect a lot more but oh well read more
