They did a great job with cleaning. I'm afraid i can't remember my cleaners name as it was a quick introduction. He did a great job. He was very detailed oriented and my place looked wonderful after he completed service. They did attempt to reschedule the service the night before which but in the end kept the appointment time so all is well. Via text messages, I explained the cleaning job in detail, including exactly what I expected, and made it clear that I don't like surprises. They were very responsive, saying they don't like surprises either. So I booked a cleaning. They asked for my address, email, and phone number (it turns out I entered an incorrect phone number in the text message, but obviously we were texting, so they had my correct cell number and my email was correct). At 7 pm, the evening before the scheduled cleaning, I reconfirmed they were coming the next day and received "Yes!" At 9:30 the morning of the cleaning, I sent another message: "If you have flexibility, you can come early." Surprise Surprise ... The response was "Hello, this is Philip from Flash Guys Cleaning. Did you receive our last message?" Philip goes on to write that their last message was from Leo, who apparently called the [incorrect] number (but did not send an email), stating that there was a required 50% upfront payment to confirm the job, and now they "might" not have a cleaner available. I texted back, stating that despite all of the detailed messages we had exchanged, there had been no mention of 50% up front. Finally, I asked whether someone was coming, and the reply was, "No one anymore is available, sorry." Bottom line? I should have reviewed the reviews, which already describe similar issues with this company. Super disappointing. Beware -- This Company Is a Scam I rarely leave negative reviews, but The Flash Guys Cleaning Service left me no choice. We needed a deep clean before an open house, and despite their unusual request for half the payment upfront, we agreed because of the tight timeline. In hindsight, that should have been our first warning sign. The "cleaner" who arrived was a solo male carrying all of his supplies in a small school backpack -- including a handheld vacuum and a few rags. This is not the setup of a professional cleaning service. As other reviewers have mentioned, the gentleman who showed up spoke no English, so we were unable to communicate any of the cleaning needs or expectations. We had to call the company ourselves just to make sure the cleaning tasks were understood. Despite confirming the specifics -- baseboards, window sills, and cabinet doors -- none of these were cleaned. In fact, the home looked more of a mess afterward than before. This was absolutely not a deep clean, or even a basic cleaning. When we reached out to the company, they refused to issue a refund for the lack of service and insisted on sending someone back out to "redo" the job. At that point, we felt lied to and completely scammed, so we declined and hired PINK SPONGE Cleaning Service, who did an excellent job and restored our trust in real professional cleaners. I ultimately disputed the down payment with my bank, and thankfully, the bank took care of it. Do NOT use this company. I hired this company for a move-out cleaning. Unfortunately, the service was not completed as agreed, and several areas were left unfinished. I contacted the company shortly after the cleaning and followed up again later. When I finally received a response, I was told it was too late to address the issue. As a result, I had to hire another cleaner to finish the work at my own expense. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again. read more

I had a really positive experience overall with this cleaning service. Natalia and Junior were wonderful -- very kind, professional, and easy to work with. They worked hard the entire time they were here, and I truly appreciated their effort and attention to detail. For context, our apartment is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and about 900 square feet. The total came out to $415 (excluding tip) for about 2 hours of cleaning, which felt quite expensive for the size and time. Not necessarily a complaint, just something potential customers may want to keep in mind when booking. Communication with the office/team handling scheduling and questions was sometimes a bit difficult. Responses were very quick when it came to payment, but my general questions or concerns sometimes took longer to get answered. Just something I think could be improved. That said, the cleaners themselves did a great job and were very pleasant to work with. read more

This was a terrible experience, I hate to leave any business a bad review but this time we feel that others need to know of our experience in order to make an informed decision before hiring them. Initial contact with Flash guys cleaning was good. We needed a move out/deep clean as a tenant moved out. We verified what we needed and what would be done. They are responsive via text. Cleaners set to arrive between 10-12 on 12/30 . They changed that time on us in the morning to 9 am, that was fine. We adjusted our work schedule to accommodate a earlier arrival as we had to meet them to let them in . We were required to pay a 50% deposit before the work started. The not so good.... We requested a text 15-30 minutes before arrival as this is a rental property and we dont live up the street. We received a text half hour before they were due to arrive, but said they were told to arrive at 8:30. We pivoted once a gain and immediately left as it was 8:25 when they texted us that they would be there. When we got there we had to wait half hour for them to finally arrive, we had to go searching around the complex for them and found them. Ok, so we left the cleaner in the condo and he said he would be done in 7 when asked when to come back he held up 7 fingers. He didnt understand any english. I ended up communicated with the business itself via texting. We received a text from the company that he was finished and two please come to the property to inspect. We arrived at the property and The work was terrible. So many things missed. When we pointed things out room by room the cleaner couldn't us. We tried google translate but he escalated and was ranting in a language we couldn't understand. I texted and called the owner several times with no response. We were left without the company to help us communicate with their employee. It was new years eve and we had plans that evening and it was already dark. We didnt have the time to leave the cleaner there for another hour or two, then drive all the way back and inspect and lock up as we had plans. The cleaner ended up screaming at us and we asked him to leave. He initially refused and ran around our condo screaming in portuguese. I won't go into more detail as there are things we cant disclose currently as we are filing a police report. We finally got the company to respond the next day to us and we requested either the company send out a woman to finish the job as it wasn't done even close to what a deep clean should be. We were told every surface would be wiped down and left clean and tenant ready. None of that was true. We do not recommend this business. A deep clean is a luxury clean that we were happy to get done as we didnt have the time to do this ourselves. But to have it go so poorly with the actual cleaning and then to have the issues with the employee and then not being supported by the owner during a very stressful time is just unacceptable. Having to file a police report is something a customer should never have to do, and a person should never come into a persons home and yell at the customer. Also the business needs to better train their staff, and they need to make sure their staff can communicate with their customers. Furthermore, the staff need to be trained to accept that when a poor job is done they do not yell at the customers or make them feel threatened. I'm very disappointed with Flash Guys Cleaning. I previously used them for a regular cleaning and was very happy, which is why I booked them again for a post-construction clean. On the first scheduled day, they went to the wrong address despite me providing the correct one, arrived very late, and we had to reschedule. On the second date, no one showed up. After waiting on the phone for a long time, I was told the crew wasn't even aware of the job. The only solution offered was to send someone else an hour later. I asked to speak with a manager and was promised a callback the next day, which never happened. I canceled the service and had to hire another company, leaving us stuck living in a post-construction house -- exactly what I was trying to avoid. Unfortunately the place that was cleaned was in poor sanitary condition and they came in and cleaned it thoroughly and left it looking absolutely amazing. Awful cleaning service. We paid for the "deep clean" and the cleaner barely did a normal clean. Did not know what a magic eraser was. When we pointed things out, he said it would not come out, then we would show him that it was cleanable. They then sent another cleaner and this one left cleaning liquids in our oven, visible amount of liquid that was not wiped down. The list goes on, honestly felt like we were part of a hidden camera prank show because it was comically so bad. Will never use this service ever again and you shouldn't either. read more

Services ordered in Los Angeles - Poor first experience with this company...Scheduled a cleaning with them 2-3 weeks in advance and paid for the first session - thought pricing was pretty fair compared to other similar services. I also added the subscription service to have them come back every 2 weeks afterwards. I received several emails and texts confirming the appointment day and time, which I replied to as needed - though no confirmation that they received my responses was ever sent back to me. The day of the cleaning, I waited for almost an hour past the scheduled time - checking my phone, emails, and even going outside multiple times to make sure no one was there waiting. I called the service number several times with no answer or option to leave a message. I went online and was easily able to cancel my subscription. I emailed their customer service and let them know no one had showed up, I could not get ahold of anyone, and requested a refund. About 4 hours later I received a call from someone with the company, who let me know they had received my email - the cleaner that day had apparently been running late, and the man I spoke with admitted it was a lack of communication on their part, offered to rebook with some additional deep cleaning services at no extra charge - he claimed that they would have still had the cleaner come if I hadn't sent the email, but honored my request to cancel/refund services. The refund came through a couple days later. 2 stars given for the user-friendly website/booking/cancellation experience and the responsiveness of the customer service. read more

I already wrote a review on Google so I won't get into it all here, but if I hadn't reminded them we paid for blinds, they would have been out the door. For a deep clean I suggest looking elsewhere and most importantly - don't be duped by their "guarantee" to come back. I had chosen the Flash Guys after a great conversation with them on thumbtack. I made clear that we were looking for the type of clearers who are going to move things to clean under them, clean often forgotten areas, and seek out/eliminate stains/dirty spots. Our home is leaned twice a month professionally - so we were in need for someone to do the more intense work like baseboards, windows, fans, and the other odd stains that accumulate in our homes over time. While I do think the team that was sent could do a great job for the general/typical service... The team that was sent to my home did not show the attention to detail that I asked for and outlined before hiring them and allowing them to set the price given my list of what needed to be done. Most frustrating was how they checked in afterwards but it seemed the only acceptable answer was yes - we are happy. When I raised these issues directly I was, in not to many words, told I already got what I paid for with 3 people and X number of hours. If you want to charge by the hour or the number of people - do that up front, don't try to hold it over me after you assign the team and set the price. Finally, when they offered their guarantee to come back (after we pushed for it mind you.) We had to reject because they were being too difficult. We prefer vendors send a new team to prevent retaliation or ackward feelings when a commpaint is made but it seems rather than accept fault the company was only willing to send the same people which we just didn't want. Maybe it's because they want to penalize them and not pay them a second time? Anyway, a few positives. They were punctual, kind, and respectful people but the company itself needs to rethink how it prices it's service or set expectations. read more

I found the service online and immediately got a response within two minutes and I was able to schedule the day and time that I wanted and they sent out an amazing guy by the name of Rafael who is so courteous and pays attention to detail and our oven and microwave have never looked this good. The women were very nice, but the service provided was anything but satisfactory. I paid for a deep cleaning, which was far from what they delivered, and paid extra for the blinds which they didn't even touch. The areas that were neglected are too numerous to mention, but here are a few along with the accompanying photos: Did not mop any of the hardwood floors---kitchen, dining room, hallways. Did not clean the shower tile at all! Not even wiped down. Did not clean some of the window sills. Did not vacuum stairs which I had confirmed with them they would do at the start of their service. Did not clean the blinds, for which I paid extra. When I contacted them, they refused to come back out to complete the job. From start to finish this is a very unprofessional business. It is the worst cleaning service I have ever used and I highly recommend that you do NOT use them. read more

I tried to hire this company for a cleaning. I tried to call them but they do not take phone calls and just want to text. When I texted them, I felt that all they wanted to do was get the booking as they did not want to hear about what I needed and sent me to a different number to text. When I gave my details to the new number, they just said OK and never bothered to give me a quote until I had to ask are you going to give me a quote now that I explained what I need? They came back asking for a ridiculous price (almost $300) for a light duty turnover clean for an AirBnB and I was so frustrated I said no thank you and we hired someone else. This company seems too busy to give good customer service so I was very disappointed by how they treat customers and show no interest in caring about what I actually needed. read more

Buyer Beware!!! It was my birthday so I decide to have my house "deep cleaned". I paid $344 including tip. The first issue was the price increased by $50 more than I was quoted online. But for what I paid I was totally ripped off and I'm extremely disappointed. Underneath the bed and other areas were not even swept. The very next day I dropped something in the corner of my living room and they didn't sweep or mop this area and as the days have gone by I am constantly reminded of how I wasted my money as even some of the things I asked them to do were not done. And remember this was supposed to be a "deep cleaning". My usual cleaning company charges $160 and does way more then this "deep cleaning" I paid for. Flash guys has been cleaning our home for several months and they do a great job. They're very communicative on timing and when cleanings start or finish. If you want something special done they're open to it (you just need to communicate ideally ahead of time so you know any extra cost in advance). I also appreciate that I can say I'd like to have the same crew clean the next time so they know when I'm particularly happy. Flash guys cleaning did a wonderful job when I hired them for a deep cleaning and I have now scheduled them for regular cleanings. We had a different regular bimonthly cleaner, but I noticed there was dust accumulating, showers not that clean, etc. When I reached out to Flash Guys, they we were responsive and had good availability. They were communicative about confirming, when they were on their way, and when they were done. It was a team of two people who seemed to have a good rhythm. Flash guys cleanings services are exceptional. They are always on time and communicate immediately if I need anything else cleaned. They clean our house on Monday mornings , they pay attention to detail and are consistent with high standards cleaning. We have five animals and they work really well with them and around them. I walked them through what I wanted cleaned and they go above and beyond what I showed them. Having 5 animals, I can say they pay attention to detail and even clean up after the animals. I would highly recommend this family run business. I have had multiple cleaning services in the South Bay and this cleaning service is my favorite.
