If you're from South Florida, you know Flanigan's. I give this place a 5 for many reasons. In my countless visits, I have noted consistency, great customer service and an overall welcoming environment. This place feels like home. Not to mention, they keep a bottle of their famous barbecue sauce on the table. As i always say, never enough sauce! Let's talk about their ribs. They're famous! So tender the meat just falls off the bone, with just the right amount of crisped char and then perfectly caramelized sauce on top. These are a must. I'm also a fan of the firecracker shrimp, decently sized shrimp with light breading tossed in a creamy spicy sauce. My parents swear by their blackened mahi. Another great aspect are the deals. If you go during they week, they offer a free app with a pitcher of a beverage. "Mexican Monday" means a mountain of nachos to accompany your beverage, and on "Wing it Wednesday" your drink comes with 10 wings! The wings are a close second best to their ribs for me, always delicious though. For lunch during the week they have Joe's Meal Deals. Our local Flannigans. I've been told this is the best location! I ordered the half rack of baby back ribs & half chicken combo. Hubby ordered a cheeseburger with a slice of raw onion. It was a casual laid-back, late dinner. It hit the spot. If there are sporting events going on you will be able to watch your favorite team on the many TV screens. Stop going to Flannigans because they had roaches. The manager didn't seems to mind which completely ended our going there. Waited five years to go back and ordered carry out. We got Burnt ribs once and Tried to be understanding and even tried again two three weeks later ! When I called in the order this time, I told order taker that we got burnt ribs hidden over some not burnt ones last time, .. and what happens... got them again!! Called them and told the manager Becky... she says ... "sorry, bring them back!" Really... after we all ate my leftovers from the day before, now we should drive 25 minutes back there? No offer for credit either. Then she says take a picture of them. So we go thru the trash to show how burnt they were and send it to her and still nothing but 'sorry'! The truth is, they didn't trust us and thought we were just looking for a free meal is what I learned later. This is not a good restaurant unless you like burnt to a crisp ribs that taste like charred bones. Wings were certainly not the award winning ones either. Dry and no sauce. I don't know if it's possible to give no stars but was the worst service ever. The person who met us at the door had hair down to his butt! Also looked extremely strung out and was not interested in smiling at the clients upon arrival. We started by ordering a bottle of white wine . We received two glasses of white wine after 25 minutes of waiting! We asked the waitress if we could keep our glasses as we had waited so long and reordered our bottle. She Has to ask the manager! Our food was delivered cold! Half way through eating the waitress delivered us a bottle of warm wine. Unacceptable so we asks "again" for a cold bottle. Which took another 20 minutes. We were finished eating by then. Charged 100 %of the bill! The manager "Tonya" was exceptionally rude, not comprehensive, did nothing but gaslight the experience. We were charged for a wine fee which she couldn't explain. She was closed to any kind of solution. Then asked us to pay our bill "which had many error" and leave as we weren't welcome again! Recent visit. Ordered Bud light draft. served with a chipped rim. Made the bartender aware of the glass chip. She promptly grabbed a new glass inspected it then poured the beer in the chipped glass into the new glass. Really now! Proper customer service would of poured a new glass of beer. Good customer service would of apologized and probably wouldn't charge me for the Beer. Flanigan's service has been poor. used to be a regular no longer. Well we went to this restaurant thinking it was great. As advertised best rubs and great sauce. I got the ribs with fries, the fries were cold when I got them. Spoke with the server and she said I'll get you new ones, how about taking it off my bill, but she did nothing. That's poor service, will not be back. And the sauce for the ribs was sub-par at best. We had a really good time more than expected . We sat at one of the bar tables because the wait was too long for the other one and it was perfect. They have done a really good job with social distance and everything else for COVID . Our server- bartender was super nice and friendly and she was working hard . She was on top of everything and made us feel welcome . I don't Remember her name right now but she was always checking on everyone and didn't care for how her bat is set up now because of covid . Let me start by saying that we have been eating at Flanigan's occasionally for 35 years. I felt like something quick and their Pompano location is very close so ....... I got the Mahi franchise , spell ckeck didn't know how to spell it either, my with got wings and Beer. We both caught off guard , neither dish was good both had a strange seasoning. The Mahi was a nice a full 12 ounce filet but was totally overpowered by this unidentifiable spice. The wings were cooked ok but surprise ! They had the same seasoning. I am hoping it was a one off night. We will try again one day but if it was my first visit they would not get a second chance. read more

Let me start by saying there is always someone at the door to greet you. Every time you walk in you're greeted with a smile. If wendy is behind the bar you know you're gonna have a good time. Every sunday she makes it the best football day possible! We are always told what is on special and what her personal favorites are when we're not sure what we want to eat or drink that day. She makes the best melon margarita in town. Which by the way you need to try because melon and tequila go together like sun and sand. We usually just drink beer but we're down to try ANYTHING wendy recommends. Tonight was the worst service at any restaurant I have ever been to. Fla Ivan's in Pompano Beach is not a well run restaurant but in the Deerfield beach location it is well run. We were served pasta and Flanigans waitress wanted to charge us for Parmesan cheese for pasta. That was just one example of the poor service. The waitress was downright mean. We ate here 3 times in the last 2 was on vacation. First of all Jess the host was pleasant and accommodating every time. Our servers Jim, Daniel, and Brian were efficient and accurate. Great service. Even though there was a 30 minute wait, the hostess went out of her way to seat us right away! The Blue Moon on tap was delicious and the Giuseppe's pasta was also really good. You gotta spend at least 45 minutes waiting. Great seafood and bar food. Great atmosphere and plenty of seating inside and out. The only downside is having to wait. Kaila ruined our night! It was beyond horrific. She not only didn't serve our dinner promptly, but as they advertised for up to 50% off, they charged us over 31 dollars for a drink for each of us. she'd recommended Tito's which we assumed was their house/bar vodka). After seeing and questioning the bill, she said a martini needed to be charged as double (none of which she explained) so she couldn't charge us for one. She thencharged us extra for the salad that automatically came with the dinner. She was beyond rude. Before we got a chance to confront or realized the issues with the bill, we had asked for a second drink. Before we even had a chance to have a sip of our second dWhen we asked to speak to the manager, she became indignant, took our drinks away, and said you clearly have had too much to drink. We were left speechless. We continued to insist on seeing the manager. He finally came and was very gracious, but the way we were treated was so disturbing. I had the worst meal here tonight and I've been going to this location longer than our server had been alive. I'll say since the 1980's. We were a party of five and ordered a shrimp appetizer and six garlic rolls. The garlic rolls are "world famous" and they are covered in butter and garlic sauce. These came out dry..they weren't burnt or not fresh, but they barely had any buttery sauce and that's why we order them. See photo. So we ate two of the six and I asked the server to please take them and put some more sauce on them. Well either he didn't know what I asked or the kitchen didn't. They came back out on a clean plate and maybe they had warmed them up but they were not more buttery. They are usually drippy and soft, really decadent. So the kids are them anyway...and then I mentioned that we would like them to get us six more and please make sure that they were buttery. They are normally worth the trip. Our meals came out and my daughters Mahi had a raw edge. We told the server and he called the Mgr over and then he loudly "whispered" to the manager that we had already "complained" about the bread and now this. Well it was rude and embarrassing that he would speak about us like that. So we had bread that was inconsistent from the past years and fish that was raw and it should be us who are blamed? We weren't asking for anything or trying to get a free meal. The manager wanted to comp the one fish and we said no. He kept insisting so we finally said fine but that wasn't our point. I like mostly well done food and anything raw or undercooked really bothers me. It was so unacceptable for this server to speak about us. Let's hope he learned not to do that because since he said it to the manager and the manager knows what we heard because he heard it too. I won't be back here for some time, if at all. I will mention that the manager did apologize for what had happened. Carlos the manager was very gracious. Andy our server wasn't. My rating would normally fall to a 4 or 5 for Flanagan's. Have been to Flanigan's before, but it was the first time at this location. When we arrived we were seated in less than five minutes and were greeted by our sever very quickly, which was nice. Our server was really helpful pointing out some things on the menu as well as going over some specials they had and taking a drink order. We ordered a full rack of ribs, which are always a good choice from here. Gotta love the ribs. We also had the blackened tuna hoagie. This was my first time trying the hoagie and I was really surprised on how good it was, very tasty. After coming to a few Flanigan's locations over the years they are always consistent on the food and service. This location is about 5 minutes away from the beach and as is a great choice after a long day in sun. Definitely give this place a try! read more
