All the staff were very welcoming and make you feel like you were the only ones even though they were busy. Got to meet the owner. He was taking time to stop at each table. We really enjoyed our dinner at the Flamingo Grill. We were seated right away (Wed before Thanksgiving). Server was efficient and attentive. Bar service and choices were great. No beer on tap, but good selection of bottles and cans. Now, to the food. Shrimp app was good. Cocktail sauce was flavorful. Salad was fresh and house made dressings were very good. We had the grouper Oscar special and house cut prime rib. Both were well prepared and ample servings. Atmosphere was good. Many have called it old Vegas and that is pretty accurate, but in a positive was. Not too noisy. You kinda feel like Sinatra might walk in at any time. It took a while for our server to come over. Service was great overall. We always had refills and she checked in on us frequently. The lobster bites were a decent size, had light breading, and were piping hot. The garlic mashed potatoes are my favorite. The house salad with bleu cheese was fresh and filling. The broccoli was too hard for me. I had to cut off the stalks because I was tired of chewing them. - Teriyaki Beef Kabob (small meals menu) with house salad with bleu cheese, redskin potatoes, broccoli and garlic bread: My uncle enjoyed this. He loved the teriyaki sauce and the beef. He thought the salad was fresh and liked the bleu cheese dressing. He also felt the broccoli was too hard and cut off the stalks. - Teriyaki Beef Kabob (small meals menu) with house salad with French/Italian blend, redskin potatoes, sugar snap peas and garlic bread: My aunt loved this meal. The beef was cooked to her liking and was tender. She enjoyed the house salad and sugar snap peas. She thought the redskin potatoes were cooked perfectly. - Fried Lobster Bites (small meals menu) with house salad with bleu cheese, redskin potatoes, broccoli, garlic bread: This is my mom's favorite meal. She thought the redskin potatoes were tender. She also had a problem with her broccoli being too hard. - Filet Mignon Oscar with (filet with crab meat on top) with garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, and house salad with sweet vinaigrette: My dad loved this. There was plenty of lump crab meat on top. The filet was cooked perfectly and was flavored well. He loved the sweet vinaigrette on the salad. We ordered two desserts to go: a slice of Key Lime piece and a slice of Suzys Peanut Butter and Chocolate Pie with chocolate sauce. The peanut butter and chocolate pie was on the dry side. The crust was good, and I enjoyed the chocolate sauce. My dad thought the key lime pie was too sweet. Overall, we will return. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Myrtle Beach. read more

Then again you can make your own opinion. If your in town you should try them out. It's a great place to take the kids as well. They have good kids food. Only bad thing is they don't have a changing table in the men's bath room which was a little disappointing since I had to change my sons clothes. It would really help out dads with kids. Just saying. We went on a week night in March and had reservations even though we probably didn't need them. We sat in a booth even though the very classy looking bar beckoned me. Our waiter brought out menus and we ordered. I got the peppercorn tuna done rare. My wife got the same. My tuna was done just as ordered, seared on the outside, rare (raw) on the inside. It was drizzled with a wasabi sauce which complemented the tuna very well. One in our party ordered a lobster and beef combo and though she loved the beef, she disliked the lobster as it was breaded and fried. Other than that no complaints. We confirmed time with the host and decided it was too close to close, and we didn't want to be "them people." We walked out. Before we made it a few feet from outside the front door, a man (I think whom might have been the owner, maybe a manager), he came to see why we were leaving. We explained because you are closing soon. He was so kind and said to us, "Oh no, come on in, we will be open for a while. We have a few large parties that are here. Please come back in." Here's a breakdown of our meal: Drinks 9/10 - Got a fruity rum drink and it was delish. Respectable amount of alcohol. Lobster Bites 7/10 - They were tasty but not spectacular. More like fast casual quality versus sit down restaurant quality. Sauce was good Scallop Pasta 8/10 - Pretty good with a tangy sauce. Preferred if the scallops were seared a little more but they were good quality Prime Rib 9/10 - Really good. Not the best I've ever had but still very tasty. Lobster Tail 7.5/10 - Not as tender as I would have liked but still had a good flavor to it Crab Cake 8/10 - Not a Maryland style cake and priced accordingly. Good flavor for what it was. An $11 crab cake ain't gonna be all crab, lol. Service 10/10 - Waiter was very attentive and drinks/food were brought out quickly. It could have been the time we showed up but it worked out in our behalf. I would recommend this place, but as a casual suggestion. Wow. What an amazing place. The atmosphere is fantastic and that pales in comparison to the service and the food. From the decor to the details in food presentation, server knowledge, food taste and quality this place does not disappoint. We went there Friday night for the first time. Friends have been recommending it for a while but Friday was a first taste. Wow. Mike the manager was involved and attentive, the people at the front desk greeted you with smiles, the waiter we had, Max, was top notch, calm, professional, personal, and efficient. Steph at the bar made the best dirty martini. The price was more than reasonable and it felt like a bargain for the complete product and experience we received. We had company coming the next day for birthday celebrations and had plans to go to another restaurant...but once we completed our Friday night dinner at The Flamingo Grill, we decided to change our plans Saturday and come back with our guests to the Flamingo. The entire group loved it. The two owners, I think they're named Dino and Deano were walking around greeting people, helping serve, picking up dirties.....impressive. We had Evan as a server Saturday night and he was equally as impressive as Max. Max even noticed us and came over to say hello Saturday night. What a treat this place is. Food was luke warm when served. Prime rib was a poor, substandard cut. It had good bit of gristle in it and was not tasty. I could not taste any garlic in the garlic mashed potato and they were made with sour cream and were way to sour. I cook alot and know alot about food so it was very disappointing. I am giving a bad review because despite telling them about my shellfish allergy, my food was contaminated with other shellfish food. After the meal, in the parking lot, my family noticed the redness on my face. I also started to feel itchiness. Soon after we went to the pharmacy Walgreens and got Benadryl . I was a little disappointed in this place. I have to say the only thing that was really worth my visit was the Lobster bites. So I'm giving it three stars because of that. The crabcake was horrible. It was so full of bread and l couldn't see or taste any meat. My husband felt the same way and keep in mind l'm from Maryland and l'm use to crabcakes that the meat is visible and you can taste it. The snow peas were good and so was the coleslaw. The calamari was not pleasant at all. It was over spiced with the breading and we did not enjoy it at all and we like spiciness but that was overpowering. The shrimp was just ok. I think l would only return here for the lobster bites.
