Cute place with a great aesthetic! The food was fabulous, and the rosemary potatoes were the highlight for me. My main concern was the service. While our waitress was very friendly and the food arrived quickly, there was an issue with my drink order. I ordered a Pepsi when we sat down, but it didn't come with the other drinks. I had to remind the waitress, and even after our food arrived, my drink was still missing. Since I didn't see her pass by again, I eventually had to ask another waitress. By the time my drink finally arrived, I was nearly done with my meal. They weren't busy at all, so I'm not sure why this happened. It may have been a fluke, but it definitely wasn't ideal. The Flamingo Deck - Great food, but disappointing experience with inconsistent policy enforcement We visited The Flamingo Deck last night and had a generally good time. The food was flavorful and the atmosphere was vibrant and fun -- it's clearly a spot where people go to enjoy themselves. That said, I want to share something important that impacted our experience. We were the only table that included people of color in our area, and we were also the only table that was asked to provide a credit card for pre-authorization before ordering. At first, we assumed this was standard, but after observing other tables nearby -- including both smaller and larger parties -- it became clear that this policy wasn't being applied consistently. We respectfully asked our server and then the manager about it. The manager explained that this is the restaurant's policy, which I understand and don't necessarily have an issue with if it's applied evenly. Unfortunately, it wasn't. We directly asked two other tables -- both all-white parties -- and neither was asked to pre-authorize their tab. That made it feel like we were being singled out based on race, whether intentional or not. To the manager's credit, he was open to the conversation and receptive to hearing our concerns. I appreciate that, and I hope it leads to real reflection and policy review. A policy that only gets enforced selectively -- especially along racial lines -- is not a policy, it's a problem. Food was great. Service otherwise was fine. But equity in treatment matters just as much as ambiance, and I hope this feedback contributes to a better experience for everyone moving forward. read more

We chose flamingo deck because of the tiramisu martini (which is my favorite, so naturally we had a tower of them for the party) and the yummy food. I didn't get a pic of the pizza but they were divine. They NAILED it. Mercedes and Sierra were communicative, involved, so cute & so kind. Fun spot to get drinks at, after a long day hanging out the beach. Location: There is plenty of seating in the restaurant and is located in a plaza that has a decent size parking lot. I would say, it is on the louder end, so it's not a place where you can sit and comfortably talk. The decoration and the vibes are nice though. It's has a very trendy vibe. Food: The food here was okay. The portions are pretty small for the price you are paying. I also wouldn't necessarily the say the food was all that good. It got the job done. I would recommend getting the pizza over the pasta. It seems like you get more bang for your buck that way. The best thing we ordered was the meatballs. Drinks: The adult drinks here are good! It was right at around sunset too, so the view was just amazing. We started with the calamari, and it was a big portion! Tasted super good, crunchy and the tartar sauce was great. We also tried the meatballs... and I'm extremely impressed. The bread was cooked amazing and the meatballs were perfect (sauce was amazing.) For the entrees, we had the margarita pizza and the mushroom pizza. The margarita was amazing. The crust was perfect, dough was great, and overall the pizza was great. The mushroom pizza the same; crunchy on the crust, good seasoning, and a great portion. Overall, I really recommend this place. Me and the girls came here on a Sunday afternoon around 3. It wasn't busy but there were people in there. The food was absolutely delicious. I think it's fairly priced as well for the portion and ambience of being in PB. I got the steak Frites, my friends got the chicken parm and the chicken pesto sandwich. We all finished our whole meal and were all very satisfied. We shared the flamingo size cocktail "drunk in love" and it was super yummy as well but definitely not worth $65. Will be ordering individually next time. The bathrooms are cute but dim and could use a little refurbishing. Service was okay, our server was friendly. She probably could've checked in a little more. Came here for a girl's happy hour and had a great time! They have super cute, instagram worthy decorations and a beautiful outdoor deck that's perfect for the summer. It's also located next to the beach so you can take an after dinner stroll to walk off the delicious pizza that is on their HH menu. All handtossed pizzas on their regular menu are $10 during HH, which lasts until 7 PM. I ordered the truffle mushroom one and it was sooo good. The crust is perfectly crispy & thin, slathered in a cream sauce, with mushrooms & onions layered on top. They also let you make modifications within reason to any pie. One friend opted out of the prosciutto on her pizza while another was able to make hers vegan by excluding the cheese. Service was good and everything arrived quickly. I came here for happy hour with my bestie and it didn't disappoint!!! The drinks were decently spiked and the food was good too!!! My bestie had a Moscow mule and said it wasn't watered down. My skinny margarita was also well balanced. For food we had the standard calamari and it was perfectly crisp and fishy. The portion was good enough for three of us but we had to get more apps to feel full. We tried the pear salad and it was good, even though I'm not an arugula fan it paired well with the sweet pear slices and balsamic sauce. The place is decorated very cute with pink flamingos and cabanas that give that tropical feel. Bonus is that it's on the beach!!! You can walk off your drinks in mission beach!!! Saw this place on Instagram months ago and wanted to try it when I came back to town to visit. Such a cute place with nice decor and a very chill vibe. We sat outside because it was such a nice day and our waitress was nice and friendly. We weren't sure of what to order and the waitress was very patient with us. I was surprised it wasn't busy on Sunday when we arrived around noon, but it was Father's Day so maybe that's why. We ordered French toast and the steak and eggs, along with bloody Mary's and cocktails. Everything was good but my steak was not medium rare like I had asked, it was overcooked and had no pink inside at all. It was hard to eat because of this and it was so chewy and rubbery.
