This experience was average for PB. We got sat right away on a Sunday. It was not crowded despite this being a holiday weekend. We sat inside in the shade which was good. We ordered bottomless mimosas which online stated $15. They were actually $21...Our server Haley told us the website was incorrect but still honored the $15 which was super nice! Thank you! We all ordered entrees. Mine came out incorrect but the kitchen corrected it in about 15 minutes. But unfortunately this contributes to my rating. Our server said they made my meal right the first time but ended up giving it to someone else...when we saw the food runner come out eventually with my second order, they went to another table to offer this meal. It seemed super disorganized especially since there were 10 tables sat total. I ended up getting that exact plate eventually though. Quality of food- was decent but my friends waited for my correct meal to come out so theirs was cold but the time we ate. My friends were being polite which I appreciated. And this diminished the quality of their meals. My breakfast sandwich was good- but a little too buttery. The potatoes were nicely crispy. I wish the sandwich had some veggie like tomatoes. For the mimosas- our server was attentive to refill our carafe when needed. It will come premixed unlike most places that'll give juice and the prosecco bottle. He could've at least gotten someone else to help instead of acting like we were a problem. The restaurant wasn't even busy, yet we still waited almost 40 minutes for our food just for everything to come out one plate at a time, spaced out by like 10 minutes. Then the French toast came out raw in the middle, which was disgusting. This was my first time here and honestly it'll probably be my last. Marsha LACKS CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS and doesn't care about her servers! i ordered the Wagyu meatball's with sourdough bread in tomato sauce. They arrived to the table fairly quickly. I cut into the meatball and it was very pink, indicating undercooked. The manager Marsha agreed to place another other order and mentioned they are mixed with pork. I had already paid for the check because I was pressed on time. The server was busy and i had to remind her we needed water at the table. The next order took longer than the first. The meatballs were toasty from the outside. Once cut, the meatball was again pink! Marsha explained its well cooked and said it was due to the pork. I told her I would not be eating any pork that had a pink texture and risk getting sick! She argued it was well cooked and brought a raw meatball. I asked her if we got sick would she be liable. She refused to answer and refused to reimburse the fee for the meatballs. So i told her I needed to adjust my tip. That infuriated her because she felt i was taking it out on the server. Marsha, you failed to provide excellent service for the restaurant at the cost of your server. The tip is an added gratuity for the overall service provided. Marsha refused to reimburse the meatball fee of 18 dollars. I would have been okay with a partial refund since the bread was eaten. To educate you, eating undercooked pork meatballs carries significant health risks, primarily bacterial food poisoning (such as E. coli and Salmonella) and parasitic infections (like trichinosis). read more

Me and the girls came here on a Sunday afternoon around 3. It wasn't busy but there were people in there. The food was absolutely delicious. I think it's fairly priced as well for the portion and ambience of being in PB. I got the steak Frites, my friends got the chicken parm and the chicken pesto sandwich. We all finished our whole meal and were all very satisfied. We shared the flamingo size cocktail "drunk in love" and it was super yummy as well but definitely not worth $65. Will be ordering individually next time. The bathrooms are cute but dim and could use a little refurbishing. Service was okay, our server was friendly. She probably could've checked in a little more. Went here after a friend recommended trying this place because she said they have tiramisu espresso martinis. Upon arrival, the restaurant is very beautiful and is located right by the beach and so I like the fact that I can eat and drink, and then just head right to the beach,. The tiramisu espresso martini could've been a little bit sweeter to me as I tasted a lot of vodka, but otherwise still good. The calamari tasted more so like a chicharron the way it was fried which was different but also still good. The grilled cheese was perfect, though! It paired very well with the tomato bisque and I would definitely come back just for that. Service was great. the service here is so bad. the server katie is not attentive at all and had a bit of an attitude. we sat at our table and waited a full 20min before receiving menus or drinks and the hostess had to come up and ask if our server knew if we were seated. she didn't bring us boxes, didn't bring us water, didn't bring me my aïoli like i asked multiple times. the bartender, woody, was more attentive to us and took care of us more than the server. I have been here a few times and the service was amazing but this time on my birthday it was horrible. we got bottomless mimosas and have been here for two hours and only was brought one pitcher. i appreciated that the bartender tried making up for the bad service but that should never have to happen in the first place, he is the only one there who listened and wanted to make it right. read more

I had a very upsetting experience at Flamingo in Pacific Beach. I arrived with friends who were allowed to enter without issue. When it was my turn, security stopped me and claimed they weren't sure my valid ID was mine. I removed my glasses and also offered my debit and credit cards to confirm my identity. Despite this, the guard refused to let me in and then demanded to see my phone -- something I have never been asked for at any club. I explained that I did not have my phone with me and asked for my ID back so I could leave. The situation felt unnecessarily escalated and inconsistent, especially since my friends were admitted while I was singled out without a clear or reasonable explanation. The interaction left me feeling humiliated and discriminated against. Door policies should be applied consistently and respectfully. This experience was neither. I will not be returning and hope management seriously reviews how guests are treated at the door. This occurred January 17 1:00am I'm writing this review right after leaving because it was so incredibly upsetting to be discriminated. If I could put zero stars I would read more

I made reservations for three on Friday afternoon and it was the perfect location in PB. They have a great happy hour menu with a variety of cocktails and some pizzas. I love a good espresso martini and Flamingo Deck has a nice twist - tiramisu espresso martini. I had 3 it was so good! Hahahaha it was sweet like dessert but had me buzzin' within an hour. Even better, it was $8 for happy hour! My husband and bestie both ordered margaritas and they said it was refreshing and heavy on the tequila, which we love to hear! We started with their pesto burrata and loved it. It was perfect for our warm summer evening. The bread served was nicely toasted, we just wish we had more. We also had the spicy sausage pizza and it was packed with toppings. The pizza is also a great size for sharing! You could probably get away with sharing it between 3-5 people. We really enjoyed the food and drinks. We just wish they had music on the deck. They had music inside the restaurant but it wasn't loud enough to hear much of it on the deck. The aesthetic is also really cute inside. I can imagine it being a great place for a girls night or a bachelorette lunch/dinner. I went by myself, and while the deck upstairs would've been a stunning place to eat a meal and watch the Pacific sunset, I really wanted to watch Monday Night Football, so I went down to the bar. I met Parris F., the bartender, who is one of the nicest dudes I've ever met in my life. Very cool to talk to, excellent bartender, he got my food out to me in what seemed like seconds after I've ordered it. I ordered the chicken piccata, and it was amazing. Chicken was authentically seared and then pan-fried in lemon butter with capers, and the mashed potatoes were real, not boxed. The portion was huge, itgreat value. The customers were also a cool and interesting group of people, and honestly if I didn't need to be up early the next day, I would've been very content to sit there for hours and chat with all of my new friends. I had a TERRIBLE experience here. I came here yesterday and showed the security guy my ID and he took it away saying it doesn't look like me, even though it was my valid drivers license and he said he wasn't going to give it back to me. I had to go all the way back to my car, luckily I had my passport in my car to show him that that is legitimately my drivers license and i am 24 years old.
