I really want to love such a place, but the selection isn't really as huge as it seems, though more is offered than some other Chinese Buffets. I could do without the shrimp with the head still attached. I like the coconut chicken. The pricing is average. I really can't complain because it's on par with other places. I was really surprised with how well they made the sushi and Chinese dishes here. I come here for the seafood. If you live in the Hamilton NJ area you also get coupons in the mail with the weekly penny saver. I get my fix of seafood here when my boyfriend travels for work because he is allergic. For $13 a person for dinner, I definitely get my money's worth. I also liked that they had a baby octopus salad because baby octopus is one of my favorites. Their desserts aren't bad either. I don't usually write reviews but I felt I had to given the one bad review here. Today was the actual grand opening which was posted on their website. My husband and I had been excited about having a buffet opening up near us and couldn't wait to come in. I was still reserved given bad experiences at other buffets that had opened up in town. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by the host. He sat us down and took our drink orders. The food - There is a lot of it. Anything from vegetables, to chicken, to seafood. There was a huge selection of sushi and a big hibachi bar. Everything I ate was delicious. The service - Excellent. Our drinks were refilled before we fully finished them. I saw hostesses and waitresses explaining the different dishes to curious customers. They were well staffed. Overall. This was such a good experience. I love eating at buffets and now there's one right down the street. We will be coming back very often. This buffet is probably the best I've ever been to. There are a lot of options (duh, it's a buffet), and everything still looked and tasted great. At many buffets at least some of the food looks disgusting so it's easy to stroll by and say, "not today." At this location however, I found myself salivating at even foods I wouldn't normally try. Even the mac and cheese was good. If you've ever been to a buffet before, mac and cheese is usually a no-go territory. Beyond this, there was also a sushi bar and hibachi grill available, included in the price. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was the dessert selection, but honestly, after you've stuffed yourself with chinese food, sushi, and all the other miscellaneous foods, do you really want that pudding anyway? read more

It's an okay place to go to when you don't know what you want for dinner. The sushi is really good - I eat that anytime I go there. My boyfriend likes the hibachi grill and they have fresh seafood in the buffet. They have a lot of Chinese options as well as traditional American foods. Cheap, Fast, Quantity over Quality, and Typical. Closer to us than the one out on Rt 1 by Shoprite, but way more chaotic and crowded with hungry patrons ready to fill two plates at once. Greeted at the front foyer, with a group of girls on the ground......fighting each other, while the staff looked on. Yes, they were legit fighting each other, hair pulled out and on the floor. Had to point that out to some of the employees, which they promptly cleaned up, but....what a crazy way to start our Friday night. Where this buffet stands out, is quantity. Rows of food in steaming tables, plus hibachi included in your dinner price. As some other reviewers have commented, food was warm, nothing super hot unless pounced on immediately when employees refreshed the dishes. Nothing was terrible, yet nothing was outstanding. The most memorable was the salt and pepper chicken, one of my favs. Employees were super friendly, have to give them that - and they took away empty dishes and refilled drinks very quickly. I don't know how fast my mister and I will be back. Best Choice and Jade Island are still our go to, but if you want variety, this is the spot for you and for us if we are in need of a quick bite not terribly far from home base. All types of food represented. 3 carving meats. 2 types of crabs. Plenty of seafood options. Big salad section. I like the hibachi section in that I could select my proteins and veggies from a nice variety. Egg roll was good. Standard fruit, jello and pudding options. Well lit and decorated. The bad..fishy smell when I first walked in. Wait staff never checked in for drink refills. The taste was merely... meh. No kick to the general tso's, under cooked plantains (still kinda hard) and Hibachi chef apparently has never heard of seasoning and barely used any sauce or garlic when grilling up the plate. Small selection of sushi in comparison to other buffets in the area. Lo mein was more like fettuccini. Not sure it is a great idea to leave carving knives with the big chunks of meat unattended and left in the hands of the customer. Pizza had a very unappealing look. Very small dessert options when lookong for something sweet. No ice cream like other places. Overall the value is good but the food is not nearly the best chinese to be found in Hamilton, so my personal choice is to pay the same prices for a single good meal or higher buffet prices. read more

My wife and I decided to check out Flaming Grill on their opening weekend. I was worried about having a buffet down the street from our house but after our first visit I doubt we will be back. The good The restaurant is beautiful they did a great job with the build out. They continuously put out fresh food. There are also a ton of coupons. The bad The food is "okay"at best it is by far not the bust quality buffet food in town. I would rather pay an additional dollar or two and get a higher quality. The service was not great but it's their first weekend. The ugly ATTENTION PARENTS the booth tables are not secured to the wall! If you child leans on the edge of the table there is a very good chance they can flip it! I also found several instances of cross contamination as pictured below. Cooked food is one thing (and typical at a buffet). However raw seafood next to cold deserts is a major issue! I rated this two stars due to everything I observed and tasted. I will try going back just for review purpose in a month or two to see if anything has changed. Until then I have no problem driving past and going to a better buffet. read more

Loads of Chinese dishes plus American food; sushi; hibachi; salad; desserts... one thing I would say is that the quality of the food is... OK. This is a great Chinese buffet with a wide variety of dishes, both in the Chinese style and American style. There's more food then one can ever eat. Though my experience for dinner and lunch was very satisfying, with a huge selection of various foods, in the end it is still a Chinese buffet. When you come to such a place, you should not expect an all American restaurant. For dinner I had some crab, muscles, veggies, and a great selection of fruit for dessert. All the employees are Asian, and if you only speak well English, don't expect a conversation with waitress. This is not a place where you entertain yourself speaking with the employees. But when it comes to self serving food, I really like this place, more so than other local fast food restaurants. It tasted great and watched it get cooked properly so not sure if the brown sauce didn't agree with my belly or what. The food was good, but the problems started when we got the check. We noticed that our 10 yr old son was charged the adult price for dinner and whenever we tried to explain it to them, they gave us one lie and bullcrap excuse after another. First the waitress claimed that he said 11 years old, no one ever asked him how old he was inthe first place. When we tried to explain it to management, they said their child discount doesnt go up to 10 years old, and when mentioned it was on their website, they condescendingly asked me to prove it. When i showed it to her, she says 7-10 only includes the numbers in between. I immediately walked away from her, because not only did the waitress lie, the manager with the plaid shirt treated us like idiots. In what world does 7-10 actually mean 7-9. I love buffets especially Chinese ones. This particular place reminds me of a buffet I used to frequent when I lived in Allentown PA. The food is normally cooked well and warm to hot. There are items I miss that this place doesn't serve (or maybe I'm not coming on the right day) but there is always something to try. The servers are efficient but almost never make small talk.
