Peach Cobbler
Rachel D.

I'm sorry but this plate was so disgusting. 2 of my coworkers tried it first and said it was nasty. I thought they were joking until I tried it. The meat was salty. The Mac taste like nacho cheese and cardboard box. Why would you send me a slice of cold peach cobbler. I will never order rom this place again. I need my money back ASAP. I ordered through foodsby.com through my company. Shame on this company.

Flaming Grill BBQ Food Truck

I got the Brazilian burger because the nice man working inside was from Brazil. I also got loaded fries at their food truck by Post Uptown Village. It was so saucy and delicious I came and got some cheese sticks and brought my friend to try it too. Definitely eating here when their truck is here.

$20 burger, $0 of flavor. Fries taste frozen. Food has no flavor. Doesn't even come with a drink.

On time, helped me to my car, always friendly and professional. Everyone at the party made several comments about the BBQ - it was the party favorite! My husband still talks about the food as do many of our friends. I wouldn't be surprised if I start to see our group there every weekend. Moving the party to Intrinsic!!!

Meanwhile I was given looks by the 2 girls up front as if I was lying. They refunded me but that's 16 miles for this, i might as well went to soulmans for this hassle. Now it's almost an hour after my original order and I'm still waiting on a corn dog. I guess I'm done here after this, I always order for the family. I don't care for the food taste now since it's been an hour waiting and I still gotta drive home to cold food. Thanks. Edit: I paid for extra buns, they were useless when I got home. That's Stolen 2$ Baked potato was not finished and still chunky when attempted to mix everything. 8$ for undercooked potato. On top of all that, you will NOT get BBq sauce at all. I will not pay for it, ANY "bbq joint" worth their salt has bbq sauce, but not even 1 cup? I try to support local and I've been here more than a few times with family order each time. That's done for, I'm going to Soulmans from now on. Waste your time and money if you want, I'm gonna be smart.

It's a smaller place in downtown Garland and there are some tables to sit and eat at and we went around 7:30pm on a Friday night and it wasn't crowded at all. We were greeted as we walked in and since it was our first time I had some questions and they were very helpful. It's a little different than most BBQ places as you can often get a plate with one, two, or three meats and sides. Here, you order à la carte with the meats and pay the per pound price and the sides come in a small and large size priced accordingly. We ordered a pound of moist brisket, 1/2lb of ribs, a large Mac and cheese and small beans for 3 people. Everything was really delicious with the brisket having a nice smoke flavor and very tender and the ribs falling off the bone with some nice seasoning and very flavorful. For the sides the Mac and cheese was the winner as it was creamy and very well seasoned. The beans were good but for me it had some kind of tang, possibly tomato base with shreds of meat in the beans. When we left we were also thanked for coming in which a lot of businesses overlook. The food is outstanding and the service friendly. We will definitely be going back. If you are in the garland area definitely check this place out.

Then of course, we had the illustrious piece of lemon meringue pie. Oh Lordy that tasted superb! The service was good, even had a trainee that quickly learns, as usual they were attentive asked repeatedly if we wanted more sides or water and cleaned our table while we sat and relaxed! The ambience is what you'd expect for Babe's chicken House, It's fun neat little pictures and sayings on the wall. Walked in to a friendly hostess and was seated rather quickly. Had a homey feel with wait staff bustling around delivering fresh chicken and veggies to various tables. After we were seated Nathan greeted us and explained the menu, and returned with our drinks and big bowl of Salad w/Italian dressing and homemade biscuits. The salad was fresh/crisp and the biscuits w/honey, oh my melt in your mouth goodness! I ordered the catfish. Oh so light and crisp coating of cornmeal and fried to perfection. My husband got the chicken fried steak. Nice light coating and fork tender to cut. Topped with the creamy white gravy made it so good:) All the veggies, salad and biscuits you can eat with a protein of choice (5 to choose from), makes a great, fairly inexpensive night out This is a nice family friendly place and worth a trip! Will definitely return.

Arriving right at opening to secure easy parking pays off immediately, allowing for a stress-free start at a prime outdoor table under the shade. The meal kicks off nicely with a round of crisp, refreshing golden pours--specifically an Oak Cliff Hefeweizen, a Rollertown Big German, and an Oak Cliff Fortunate Friend IPA. This lineup showcases their great selection of local craft beers that can be tailored to perfectly complement each menu selection. The Burrata Caprese appetizer immediately elevates the experience and pairs wonderfully with the Rollertown Big German. It features a beautifully creamy fresh burrata dressed with a dark, sweet balsamic reduction and a vibrant pumpkin seed pesto, surrounded by savory marinated tomatoes. The accompanying fresh focaccia boasts a phenomenal golden-brown char and crunch. The main event is the pizza, served on metal baking sheets with a beautifully thin, blistered crust that maintains its structural integrity without becoming overly dense. The first pie the Meatzilla, is a robust, savory powerhouse built on a bright San Marzano sauce and mozzarella base that finds its ideal match in the Fortunate Friend IPA. The pie is heavily loaded with perfectly crisped pepperoni, calabrese sausage, housemade Italian sausage, Wagyu meatballs, and pancetta. This intense, hearty blend is beautifully balanced by rich, creamy dollops of ricotta, while spicy honey and Calabrian chiles provide a lingering sweet heat that cuts right through the rich meats. The second pie, the Potato and Pancetta, offers a fantastic contrasting flavor profile that drinks perfectly alongside the Oak Cliff Hefeweizen. This white pie is built on a rich white sauce and melted fontina base, intricately layered with thinly shaved potato and shallot. The addition of duck fat and savory pancetta brings an incredible depth of flavor, which is then perfectly balanced by a generous finish of fresh scallions. The scallions are a crucial touch, providing a sharp, bright bite that cuts right through the luxurious fat and starch. Overall, it is a well-rounded, thoughtfully executed menu that easily justifies making the drive out to Garland.

Toast it up! Guess I didn't get pics of the pizza, eek. Now let's talk WINGS... because those were AMAZING! The crab dip was a hit, too, making it a perfect appetizer to share before the pizza arrives. Great food, good company, and a patio that sets the scene? That's my kind of evening!
