First experience here last night. Ordered the 3 meat baked potato - it was a monster! Definitely enough for two! The potato was excellent, the sauce was very good, the meats...well, I've had better if I'm being honest. The potato was topped with loads of goodies - sour cream, bacon bits, and a ton of cheese. On top of this was sausage, brisket and ribs, covered with sauce. The brisket was pretty dry. Without the sauce, it was a little tough to chew. The ribs were cut funky and while they had a very nice smokey flavor, they were pretty tough as well. The sausage was good. I will definitely be going back and trying again, especially for the baked potato. read more

Pictures don't even begin to prepare you for this. My toddler was tube fed for her first year of life and still has aversions- meat being one of them- but chatted about the smell the whole way home. Got home and put the bag on the table to prepare the rest of lunch and I looked over to see her with two giant pieces of sausage stuffed into her mouth and she refused to give them back. Ended up sharing this bad boy with her and my husband and still having some left over. Y'all! This potato can feed a village. It has ribs, sausage,chopped beef, cheese, BBQ sauce and bits of bacon. My daughter and I split this and still had enough to feed another person. Next time I would omit the BBQ sauce and the ribs were a bit salty (for our liking but we don't eat much pork). Went here a while back SUPER excited for the food and got the three meat baked potato and rib sandwich. All of the meat was tough, dry, and had no flavor. The rib sandwich was ribs between two pieces of white bread that you had to deconstruct because the ribs were still on the bone. The employees were rude to my spouse. She went back to the counter while waiting for food to buy some waters and was ignored for 10 minutes. I think we ended up waiting about 53 minutes total for our terrible food. No extra anything basically. The chopped beef sandwich I ordered was tough and COLD. Like he took it from his refrigerator to make. My sons 3 meat baked potato: well he threw it away and said it was gross. The link sandwich: not appetizing at all. The baked beans came straight from a can and COLD. The 7 up cakes: were at least 3 weeks old and you couldn't even get a fork through them they were that hard. Don't waste your time or money coming here. All the reviews must be from family members. I didn't even try the food. The moment I walked in the owner was mistreating his employees in front of customers, I can only imagine how he treats them without customers there. Was so excited to have a new place to try in Crowley but after waiting over 45 minutes for 2 chopped beef sandwiches, they were not even edible. The meat was tough and chewy and didn't appear to be fully cooked. They were out of all sides and baked potatoes. Not a great "soft" opening. Felt like I just threw $14 bucks in the trash can! Waited over 30 mins to get food after ordering and we were the only ones in the place. Meat was VERY tuff. Had 3 other people with me. They serve your dinners in take-out/to go containers even if you dine in. I had a one meat plate and my husband had a three meat plate. You would think since he had three meats there would be a significant difference in the amount of meat on the plates. But nope. My one meat plate looked the same as his three meat plate. EVERYONE had BBQ sauce on their meat. Mine did not have any sauce on it. Asked for sauce. They said it would be $1 more. I said everyone had sauce on their food BUT me. Showed the guy my plate for him to verify that I had no sauce and he said it would still be $1 for sauce. I paid the $1. Yes I know it was just a $1 and everyone is hurting these days. It's the principle of it all. Paid over $70 for tough meat and extra sauce. Asked for refill of my drink upon leaving and they said it would be more money. Left after that. Will NOT return. As 2 African-American business women who wholeheartily believe in supporting Black owned businesses, we cannot endorse or recommend such poor quality of food and service at Smoke to the Bone BBQ in Crowley, Tx. On June 19th we went into Smoke to the Bone for hot links for my husband. We were told this was the only bbq place in Crowley with hot links. We went on the recommendation of a 3rd party. We were told it might not be what we were use to in a bbq restaurant. TRUER WORDS WERE NEVER SPOKEN!!!!! First, was the pricing. 3 links for $11.00 or 6 links for $14.00. Who is the mathematician in this place? Then we were told the links were just coming off the grill. But it took 40 minutes to get our order and that was after going back to the counter to find out what was taking so long!!! The second order was for a plate dinner. There was no menu available to show what was on the dinners or the prices. The only side available was beans straight out of the can. The 3 meats were sausage,ribs, & brisket. The brisket was suppose to be wet (moist). Apparently someone does not know what moist brisket is. Instead it was tough,hard to chew and undercooked. The ribs were the strangest cut ribs we had ever seen. Definitely not worth the $17.00 charged for the plate. And to make matters worse the owner gets a major attitude when something is said about the quality of the food. If he is going to charge the prices he does,he should listen to his customers. Changes need to be made @ Smoke to the Bone BBQ. Needless to say, we will NEVER,NEVER,NEVER,EVER go to this restaurant again. It's not worth the money or the drive. Ok so let me tell y'all how my experience with SMOKE TO THE BONE BBQ aka Smoketothe Bonebbq went as a warning to you to NEVER let this man cater your event. I have known him, Gregory Johns for over 20 years. I have given him business at 4 different locations. I saw him advertising on Smash Da Topic Breaking Newssmash and decided to reach out to him to cater my youngest son's going off to college party. 5 minutes into the conversation he asked me to send his the money ($150) in full through cash app because he was in a blind at the moment (had a bill or something to pay) which was on the 26th of July for my event on the 11th of August. I didn't have it but I got it for him. His response to me helping him out was that he would take care of me by supplying RIBS, SAUSAGE, CHICKEN AND BRISKET and SAUCE to feed 25 people. I was to PICK UP my order at 3pm on the 11th. He calls me back around 12 to confirm. At 3:23 he calls me to tell that he is a couple of hours late because of the rain and ask me to come at 5 so I tell him that he would have to bring it to me because I had alot of last minute errands to run. 6 o'clock I am calling and texting with no response. He finally starts to respond after a few people at the party have tried calling and several people (my son's friends) have already left. I TOLD HIM FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END THAT THE PARTY TIME WAS FROM 7-10 HE FINALLY DELIVERS PART OF MY ORDER AT 9:30. HE APOLOGIZES AND PROMISES TO REFUND ME HALF OF MY MONEY ($75) 4 DAYS LATER ON WEDNESDAY AUGUST 15TH (IN FRONT OF SEVERAL HUNGRY WITNESSES) AND I HAVE YET TO GET MY REFUND!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS MAN'S SERVICES FOR CATERING YOUR EVENT. PROCEED WITH CAUTION IN DOING BUSINESS WITH HIM!!!!!! read more

The service was alright, but when my brother and I ordered the 3 meat baked potato the cashier asked the cook how many were left and he said 2. We assumed that since he put the order through and we paid for it that there would be enough, but after waiting about 40 minutes one of the workers came up to us and let us know that they were out of the potatoes. Usually our favorite place to go for a great baked potato. today we waited an hour for our food and people that came in after us, and who had more food then us got there meals before us. We always get the baked potato to share so one meal for two people don't take an hour. The ribs are just fatty and hard, and didn't get the bacon bites on the potato either. I don't plan on coming back. We went around 2 pm after lunch rush, any good food service would have there meat on the smoker half way through lunch rush. read more
