I've been to Flamin' hot buffet a few times but today was not okay. I had 3 kids with me, all of whom were 10 years old. When I was asked about their ages, I provided that information. However, one of the staff members pointed out a sign at the front stating that children aged 10 must be under 5 feet tall, and that pricing may vary depending on their weight. While I understand that businesses may have policies related to pricing, I was taken aback by the way this information was communicated. Singling out a child based on their height or weight can be perceived as body shaming, which is not appropriate--especially in front of others. I believe there are more respectful and discreet ways to address such matters, particularly when children are involved. This is not okay. Do better please.

    New prices. Still great food.

1st. I love buffets. Especially Chinese buffets in strip malls and this is one of them. I've been coming here for years and I'll keep coming here. It's also cheap with lots of options. Currently they are short staffed but the waiters/waitresses work their butt off.

Can't name everything here, but you see it. Lol

This buffet is soooo good I totally recommend I love how nice and clean the establishment is the food is so good and fresh the flavors are delicious I so recommend 10/10

We have a son that is born on 04/14/2021, and the owners said he was too tall. They charged him as a three year old even though he can't get before and they treated him as a two year old. Blatant discrimination against an infant's height, do they want to see the birth certificate? Because we can bring it straight to their face to show that he is two years old as of this review and they will trash it and say that he is three. Good food, decent atmosphere, horrible receptionists. Food 5/5 Service 1/5 Ambiance 4/5

The food is not warm although I can see the smoke in the air. The soup, they don't have the cup, only styrofoam containers available. Hibachi is good. Staff are friendly.

Their food is good and their chefs can cook but the waiters catch an attitude if you don't tip them well.

What I received was completely inedible. The tilapia was burnt and tasted almost rotten, not just overcooked but scorched to the point where the flavor was overpowering and unpleasant. The shrimp were also burnt to a crisp. The tails were visibly blackened, not charred for flavor, but burned. I managed maybe three bites before having to stop. No amount of cheese could cover how bad the fish tasted, and it honestly felt like the cheese was being used to mask a serious cooking issue. This was a complete waste of nearly $20. I also ordered the Grits & Gumbo, described as deep-fried grits with a crunchy exterior topped with house seafood gumbo. The grits were hard and bland, not flavorful. The gumbo itself was disappointing: the roux was thin and bitter, lacking depth or seasoning. The only decent part of the dish was the shrimp, but that alone couldn't save it. I finished the gumbo, so I'm not expecting a refund there, but the coddle plate absolutely should be refunded. It was genuinely inedible. Unfortunately, based on this experience, Flying Fish will not be getting any more of my business. Whoever is running the kitchen does not understand execution, seasoning, or basic seafood preparation. Strongly do not recommend.

However, this location in my opinion is the weak link among all the Dallas Ft Worth locations. My fried catfish and shrimp combo accompanied by fries and 2 hush puppies did the trick. I've been pleasantly surprised by the decent size of their crawfish this season, especially considering how hard they've been to find elsewhere. The oysters have also been consistently good-sized during my recent visits. I've experienced varying crowd levels here; weekdays tend to be less busy, but last Saturday had a line out the door, so i would recommend to come prepared for a wait. Despite the crowds, the ample seating helps accommodate everyone, although the noise level can escalate with the lively atmosphere of people enjoying each other's company.

We chose crawfish, mussels, and shrimp head-on with Cajun&Garlic butter--it tasted super tangy for some reason, I think they may have accidentally added lemon pepper but it was good still. --My other friend got 1 lb of crawfish and 1 lb of shrimp with mild Louisiana sauce, which was sweet and buttery. The Louisiana sauce is definitely the go to choice, if you dont know which to get. --We also got rice (a bit dry but perfect for soaking up the sauce) and steamed broccoli, which was cooked deliciously. -- And the only other thing I would mention, is the shrimp and mussels were of good size but the crawfish was on the skinnier/small size.. a little disappointed but still great, nonetheless. The service was great, and everyone was really friendly. Ambiance wise, the store is small and decorated with a beach shack vibe.

I am not a big fish person and hubby loves something fried so a healthy fishy meal isn't our first go to, but we went outside our normal tonight. And we left so satisfied. For apps, the mac and cheese bites with crab. This should feel heavy but it doesn't. Moist and full of flavor. We did the crab fingers (special on the black board... pay attention to the specials they are fire). Tons of crab for the price and the chowder type sauce was so good. I just wish I had more bread to soak it up. Dinner was the tuna with mango sauce. I got mine rare and it was perfectly cooked. The filet was well seasoned and the sauce complimented it well. Large portion of tuna. He got the special (do not sleep on the black board) flounder stuffed with crab and shrimp. Absolutely amazing. The menu pricing is fair given its seafood but not super affordable either. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller. The oysters were massive! However, I wasn't really a fan of the sauce, and especially not the lettuce. Because the dish was served hot, the lettuce was soggy and impacted both the texture and taste of the overall dish. The best thing, in my opinion, were the Mac and cheese crab cakes. A truly genius combination. Lastly, the fried catfish was just okay. It was kind of bland but not super crispy either. The portion is really big though. The fries on the side were soggy too and could have spent a couple more minutes in the frier.
