Been going here for years and always had the expectations that this place catered to narrow minded folks but knew that and excepted that. My last visit we were greeted with a sign at the door stating "pull up your pants or do not enter". What demographic are you referring to Flame Burger ownership? Then the 2 arrogant cooks aren't wearing masks in an open kitchen where everyone can see it. No mask hanging from their neck or anything. Just this if you want to dine here deal with attitude. The final topper was the racist conversation I overheard the cooks and the haggard waitress having with one of the customers. I also believe one of the cooks and said waitress also are the owners of this place. When I called them out for not wearing masks and for their racist conversation they were having, they told me to leave and never come back. This place deserves a visit by OSHA! read more

I put this closer to 3.5 stars but since Yelp won't let me do that I gotta go with three. It's rare that I give five and 4 is when really like a place. That being said this is a nice greasy spoon joint for good hearty artery clogging food. I want to go here for breakfast some time but have never been yet. I like the burgers here. They are your basic burger but they are pretty tasty. I don't like the crinkle cut fries much but I've never been a fan of that style. I have always had good service here and I always enjoy my meal. Perfect burger and fries. Went there years ago when we lived in Northeast Minneapolis but probably not for 25 years now. Great prices and service. Could this be the best burger in the Twin Cities? It sure has to be up there! Cooked to order (medium rare) with juices from the burger leeching into the fresh bun. Perfectly cooked crisp crinkle cut fries.
