I usually order for delivery and love that it comes super quick and is really reasonable, pricing wise. Very small, but clean place. Walk up counter with next to no seating. The owner is also the cook (with his wife) but she wasn't there the day we visited so poor guy was doing everything himself! Was willing to work with substitutions and sides of things that weren't listed as sides on the menu, such as a side of falafel. Extra sauce too. Super accommodating and gracious. Delicious! Everything is made FRESH by the most lovely owner! She was super friendly and so kind. We loved our meal and it was very affordable. We think she should raise her prices because it was just that good! The Menu wasn't too lengthy and focused on Halal meals rather than random extras like hamburgers and fried food that you see at most other Halal places, which makes me feel like they're really doing it right. I've had Flame Halal on many occasions now. This is located in the Michael's & Dicks Sporting Goods shopping center in the corner. A husband & wife own the store. They are both so friendly and really kind! I love coming because of the service I receive. This is a take out only spot. The food is absolutely amazing. The first time we came, the owner actually gave us some free samples this way we could taste everything. I thought that was a nice touch. My go to order is the chicken and lamb combo over salad. After an open house in the area we had some time to kill and decided to grab lunch at Flame Halal. We were greeted by the owner upon entering. He was busy finishing some orders and we had a pleasant conversation while we waited. It was our first time there so he gave us a small sample; it was amazing. We placed our orders for some gyros and waited the 15 minutes. The food was amazing, I work in Hicksville and I eat at a lot of Indian and middle eastern food. So I decided to get the chicken & lamb gyro with white sauce and hot sauce and it was the best decision i can make. The only regret i have is, not getting TWO. This is by far the best halal I have had. I used to live in Manhattan so I have had plenty to compare. The owner is so nice, as soon as I walked if he asked if I had ever been there and he gave me samples to try. All delicious. I had the combo over rice. Most of these type places in order to eat the chicken you need it drowning in white sauce to make it edible. This was not the case here, the chicken was delicious and seasoned so well. On paper this is a 5 star review but IRL it's a 4.5 because their website is terrible. Going in based on the decor (think absolute bare bones just like the walls and not much else) I did not have high expectations but the hospitality and the quality of the food was SO good I gave a tip which is something I rarely do for a quick serve restaurant. Flame is run by a husband and wife and they are SO nice and SO sweet. The food is ridiculously cheap, so much so that they should actually raise their prices and I'd be happy to pay more for their generous portions. I got a falafel over rice and my husband got a lamb over rice. Both came with a little salad in the tray and a side of pita. We got hot sauce and white sauce on the side. Sadly they were out of the green sauce but I will get some on the next go round. Food is positively delicious, hot and fresh, and full of flavor. 10/10 will be back to try more. read more

Owners were very welcoming, offered samples, and gave recommendations based on what we liked. You can tell it's made fresh and in small batches. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed the butter chicken and regular chicken. I would recommend both, but I preferred the butter chicken since I like curried meat more.
