This review is for poor customer service. We ordered our usual which was a small bowl and a regular size bowl of teriyaki's. The small bowl on special came with a drink. The regular bowl had no drink with it so I ordered water. I was told I could not have water because they had run out of cups. Looking on the counter I saw stacks of soda cups so I asked if I could have my water in one of those. I was told no because they would not know how to ring it. I then noticed there was no Apple Pay machine and asked about it. The young lady at the register said the owner took them out because they took too long since they were also chip readers. Note the new chips in the cards are for consumer safety yet apparently the owner decided it was more convenient for him or her not to have them. I then asked to speak to the manager and was told there was none on the premises. While we were eating another person that had been seated to the side apparently waiting for something asked when the manager would be in. I didn't hear the rest of the conversation but they decided to leave and appeared to be very angry. How can you operate a store without a manager on premise? read more

Worst customer service from Alexis D!! I placed an order for pick up having only 30 minutes for a break & she stated it would take 7 minutes to be ready. I go in 10 minutes later and the order wasn't still ready I had to wait another 9 minutes or so to get my order to go. So I asked her that what was the benefit of placing an order for pick up if the food isn't ready when we come in & she simply looked away & shrugged her shoulders. Another employee with red/orange hair handed me the food when it was ready and they both made rude comments as I was walking away. I got the regular size half and half bowl with brown rice, veggies and green onions and of course picked up some magic sauce on the side. It was delicious!! Healthy, fast, affordable and yummy!! Today we came to the flame broiler and I was very disappointed this cashier girl name blanca or bianca was rude and the girl that was helping her she had glasses I said I wanted the order to dine in and she handed me the bag very rudely and said well here eat it I know they usually bring orders to table when we dine in and my mother saw Her do that and said you don't have to hand her the bag that way and I told her my mother gets a little sensitive about situations because she has cancer and she said I do not care if she has cancer I was very upset and told her I've been coming to this flame for two years and she said I don't care I don't even know your name I can't believe that they would treat us this way my mom asked her for the managers name and she said I do not have to give it to you I hope something is done about the customer service it was very upsetting... read more

My first review was not posted but, that is fine I have become strongly dedicated to get my Flame Broiler expirence out in the open. First, I'm Kyle I go to the gym daily for I am a crossfit prodigy. I travel a lot due to my scholarships for educstion and fitness. I go town to town city to city and even spent some time in Japan and South Korea studying fitness their climate and elevation has on their body opposed to those in other areas around the world. Anyways, enough about me time to get into the serious and juicy (just like Flame Broilers meat) business which is THE Flame Broiler review. As anyday I woke up quick at about noon and went to a nearby crossfit gym for my daily routine. Of course afterward I went home and freshened up and suddenly an unbearing hunger came over me. Knowing this I thought to myself I needed to eat to suppress this dreadful hunger that has taken hold of me. So, like any normal person would do I used google to find a restraunt to get a bite at. After searching endlessly for about twenty-fiveish minutes I stumbled onto what would soon become an eye opening experience. I found THE Flame Broiler. I read the reviews and checked the menu so I decided I must venture off and dine at this establishment due to the healthy choices THE Flame Broiler had. I went off. Here I go, again on my own. I track down this Flame Broiler and pull into the parking lot. Nervousness has now came over me...nervousnes and uncertainty. As I stepped through the door. All my fears and troubles vanished into thin air faster than the feelings my ex had. I will get more into my first impressions of THE Flame Broiler in a bit. Right now I want to talk about the food itself. I had the Half and Half with brown rice and veggies. The meat was so succulent and warm almost orgasmic at the first fork full of food hit my taste buds like Chris Brown and Rihanna. The Veggies steamed I believe they were so fresh and warm also just the perfect texture. The rice again also so well cooked amd fresh it completely blew my expectations out the water. I take my hat off to every chef in the kitchen and thank them for giving me such a fantastic meal. Finally, the first impression. Back to when I stepped into THE Flame Broiler all my fears disappaeared. I was met with the most sweetest and charismatic greeting and the most infectious smile I have ever seen in my time traveling from city to city and country to country. The cashier...the cashier set the bar. Never have I met such a joyous and welcoming and genuine personality in my time. There was a warm feeling of relief when interacting with this worker I believe her name was Mayra if im not mistaken but, wow it was such an experience to have lived. I have not met a single soul who appeared to have loved what they did more than this cashier being so helpful, welcoming, and kind. I want to thank THE Flame Broiler for such a great atmosphere, the chefs for such amazing food, and most importantly the cashier for such an amazing and outstanding experience. I would recommend anyome to come to this Flame Broiler if they're ever feeling down because their spirits will quickly be lifted up by the value these employees hold their customers to. Thank you. After my roommates went here and raved about it I knew that I had to give it a try myself. And I must say I was pleasantly surprised! The food is actually pretty healthy. The menu is super simple. You choose the size you want (thankfully they have the bowl sizes out for you to see), then you choose the rice you want, and finally what meat. I'm not a huge rice fan so I was happy to find out that you can have a bowl with extra veggies! They did charge me $0.50 for the change but I thought it was worth it. They sure did give me a lot of veggies that tasted very fresh. You can definitely tell the veggies were steamed and they didn't add anything extra like other restaurants that make it taste super oily or salty. For the meat I opted for the half and half. I thought both the beef and the chicken were prepared nicely, not dry or chewy at all. Since they don't cook it in sauces they have sauces for you on the side. The magic sauce is BOMB! It adds a lot of flavor to the meat and veggies and gets soaked up really well. All in all for the price I think it was definitely worth it. The food was also prepared super quickly so you don't have too long of a wait! If you're looking for something that is slightly more on the healthier "fast food" category, this is the spot! read more

WORST FLAME BROILER I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! If I could give 0 starts I definitely would! Not to mention the actual owner Andrew Kim who surprisingly owns all four locations in Bakersfield is Rude as can be and very confrontational. May I add Very unprofessional. I would expect the way he spoke to me to come from a 16 year old teen not a grown man. He belittled me and definitely ruined my appetite. I ordered through the phone so my food would be ready by the time I got there. I payed an extra $1.50 for the white meat upgrade but they gave me beef instead, which just so happened to be dry and looked like it was 3 days old. I was in a rush so since my food was already bagged, I didn't think to double check since they confirmed my order once over the phone and once again when I payed with my debit card. Not to mention they charged me twice to top it all off. I have been there many times and the majority of the girls are extremely rude and busy gossiping to each other about who knows what but clearly not paying attention to the Customers. The utensils and napkins and sauces are always out and each time I've been there, I've had to ask for them to be re filled. After speaking with the owner, since all the flame broilers have no managers and all locations are supervised by the 1 owner himself, I now understand why most of the employees there are unprofessional. It makes sense! The OWNER does NOT set an example for them. The employees have no one with authority supervising them throughout the day and have only one person in charge for 4 locations and possibly 60 employees,which is why they treat their customers with no respect! I contacted him regarding the situation of me being charged twice, and straight off the bat Blamed me saying it was my mistake and I probably forgot I went twice in one day. I can be a little forgetful but I don't have Alzheimer's! He could have easily apologized and let me speak! He interrupted me and was yelling and did not let me finish and had the audacity to say we can take this case to court and hung up.
