Holy Schnikes! Flake Pie Co. was a great experience. I went with my daughter and felt great about the experience. First of all the packaging is super cool. The pies were overall great. Grades are below: When Chocolate Met Caramel - A+ - this pie was very sweet. We had to share it as after a few bites and you couldn't handle it anymore. It has a layer of caramel on the bottom and a chocolate mousse like filling. Raspberry Fields Forever - A+ - this pie was my favorite. It is a cream cheese like filling that has been whipped with raspberry preserves. Very light and airy. Great gram cracker crust and topped with more preserves. Sweet Child O' Lime - A++ - This was the family favorite. It had a very subtle lime flavor that was not overpowering. It was very refreshing. One of the best Keylime pie is available. B-A-N-A-N-A-S - B - This pie was over all look at the prettiest. It looks very appetizing. I'm very so-so pie. Not anything I haven't had 100 times before. Life's a Peach - C - I had a high hopes for this pie. Peach pie is my favorite of all pies. It would have been better warm. They drizzle some maple syrup over the top. I'm not sure what this added. Next time I might try to warm it up. Overall a great experience. The pie tins are very flimsy so be careful where are you cut them if you plan to share. The price point seems a little high as you can go to the grocery store and get a Marie calendars pie for a little more than what they are charging. I do feel it is a great place to get a pie to share with someone special. I will be back. read more

I got the raspberry crepe Pie, the coco cabana and the banana creen pie. In addition, bought a gluten free pot de creme lemon dessert which by far was my favorite thing I got :) The place is extremely welcoming, very homey, it has the modern yet personal old town touch to it that really made it pop. Presentation of all the pies is excellent. The gluten free pots de Creme lemon is a must try. I wouldn't call it "healthier" and I really didn't feel a difference in it being gluten free, which made it even better. SMOOTH, creamy, not too sweet, and just the right amount of lemon. As for the pies, - the raspberry one (recommended by the lady there), was WAY too sweet for my taste. It's a cream cheese filling Inside and basically a layer of raspberry marmalade on top. (Hence why no 5 stars) - the coco cabana was less sweet, my wife's favorite (and my wife doesn't eat sweets at all), but the coconut and smooth taste really made this pie excellent - the banana creme was by far my favorite. Several individual pies and homemade flakes that look almost like a toaster strudel but have delicious flavors- they even have gluten free options which my daughter with celiac really appreciates! Todays visit we noticed they do shakes now so my husband tried their raspberry pie in a shake- it was the best raspberry shake he's ever had! Aren't you over the cookie scene here in Utah? Trust me I love a good cookie just as much as the next guy but doesn't it get exhausting paying 4 dollars for a cookie that's larger than your face and that realistically you probably won't eat in one sitting because it is way too sweet? Well, Flake Pie Co. is the solution. Why get a typical cookie when you could get a super rad pie/flakie (i.e. pop tart) in a variety of flavors any time of day? Their pies really pack a lot of flavors but are much easier to eat and less nauseating than most cookie companies. Food & Presentation I ordered the She's My Berry Pie, raspberry fields forever, the sweet child O'Lime and the raspberry flakie. The berry pie was absolutely phenomenal in flavor and the O'Lime tasted just like a key lime pie. The presentation of the pies was amazing as well. They all look so perfect and beautiful. The bright blue box makes them pop-out even more and look even more delicious. Vibe & Serice Their store is very inviting and the employees were super nice. I felt like I was in a bakery owned by my own family. They really made me feel welcomed. I love their color scheme and the esthetics of the place. So happy I came across this place on IG as I was roaming the foodie life pages ;) Came in during lunch on a Monday instead of getting actual food to eat lol! The place was modern and clean, employees wearing masks and gloves up to get my items. I decided to try a few pies and a few "flakies", their take on pop tarts, as bae and I were trying this place out together. I got the 3 pack of pies: Coconut Cream, Raspberry Fields and Who Squashed the Cheese. So good! Light, definitely not heavy to me at all. WSTC has a biscoff crust which I was sold on that alone because you know, it's BISCOFF! ;) Good flavor and tasted as each pie is described on the chalk menu wall behind the counter. I got the 3 pack of flakies: Raspberry, Strawberry and Peanut Butter & Jelly. Good flavor, I love the flaky outside and even distribution of filling. You need some milk btw! I drink milk with pies or cookies so make sure you got some on deck. Delicious miniature pies - what? Oh yes - and they are tasty! My sister in law introduced us to these yummy goodness on Thanksgiving dinner. After stuffing myself with turkey and all the fixins, I managed to save a little room for dessert...and I'm glad I did. I tried restricting myself to just have a bite of each flavor, but miserably failed to hold back. I ended up eating a lot more than I planned. But they are so worth it. These pies are the real deal! First off, I am not a pie guy but this place might have changed that...at least for pies from here! There key lime pie was excellent! I loved the graham cracker crust. The lime was the right strength and not too over powering. The real thing to get is there flakies (fancy Pop Tarts) were the bomb. I had the raspberry one. Expectations were exceeded. I love pie but I'm also pretty picky about it and it's often hard to tell just by looking whether it's going to actually taste good. I'm especially hard to please on the subject of crusts, and Flake Pie Co. does it right. I got a three-pack ($12.50 total, with tax), sampling the apple, banana cream, and coconut cream. It's hard to say which was best, though I'm leaning toward the coconut. I didn't really want to share any of them, let's be honest. Other menu flavors I haven't yet tried include peach, brownie, peanut butter, and key lime. They also apparently make their own version of homemade pop tarts with similar fillings. Very, very good. Will happily return. Edit to add: husband tried the banana cream and had a Ratatouille spiritual moment with it, so yeah, try that one. read more

The pies here are so good and honestly such a good deal. After tax, you can get 3 pies for under $15! My boyfriend and I usually split one pie as our dessert, and they are genuinely very good. I love shops like this! They specialize in one thing because they know how to do that thing the best. The pies here are awesome! Full disclosure, I am pie biased. If in a dessert battle and pie is a contender, pie will ALWAYS win in my stomach. Which is good for two reasons: I know pie and I don't tolerate bad pie. So, when I sing the praises of Flake Pie Co's pie, I got street cred! All of the pies are individual sized and are just the right portion for one person, or two to share if you're limiting your intake. There are several flavors both fruit and cream options and of the three I tried, all were excellent. We got the coconut cream, quadruple berry and chocolate chip cookie. Mixed berry in general is my favorite and I loved this one! Not too sweet, the filling wasn't thick and gunky, and there were plenty of delicious, whole berries. Just perfect! For good measure, I got a S'mores "Flakies" hand pie which looked like a Pop-Tart but didn't even compare to the taste and texture of one, also perfect for on-the-go enjoyment. Also, I really appreciated the cute boxes. It seems like they put some thought into the packaging with the cut-outs to keep the pies from moving around and the cut-away edge to easily remove the pies. However, decided to give this place a go and it didn't let me down. The shop is tiny (in a cozy way) and is super cute. There's no dining option inside (not that it's a huge concerns atm given covid) but there are a few tables and chairs, outside in common area that is shared with other businesses in the strip. Props to the portion size. Flavoring and taste are just as good as and similar to any other pies I've had (like I said, can't judge a pie...). Whoaaaa. I can't believe how tasty this place is. The flakies definitely live up to their name- I got the s'more flaky and my daughter got the strawberry. She said it was great because she loved the filling, frosting, and sprinkles. My s'more flaky had tender flaky crust and gooey chocolate filling and sticky toasted marshmallow on top. Delectable. Exquisite. I couldn't stop thinking about it for hours afterward. My son got the coca cabana coconut cream pie and he said he'd give it more than 5 stars if he could and told me to write in my review that it's "super duper duper good." Wish I could give a better rating. Because, we have spent a lot of $$ at this place, and continue to be regular customers. Their pies are "okay" and they have cutesy tootsy names. It's a quick way to satisfy our family (when we are all in the mood for pie, but not the same kind) - We also like to grab some "flakies" (kind of like a homemade poptart)...it's a fun thing to have in the morning when grabbing a quick breakfast. So...why two stars?...Well, the pies don't really WOW me. They are simply okay. But, here's my REAL complaint... It's their "reward system" Here's how it works: 1. They ring up your order 2. You pay the whole amount...full price...the entire bill 3. You punch in your phone number at the end (AFTER you've paid) So...um...how can you ever redeem your rewards? I asked them, "If I pay first, and then punch in my number, how does that work?" They said, "When you pay with the same credit card you used before it will recognize it, and give you the rewards." I simply said, "Oh. Okay" But...here's my beef: ....um...so...err...I can't get rewards if I pay with cash? Or... if I use a different credit card?...or if I am with a friend, (and they want to pick up the tab)?, or a number of other scenarios?. All I want to do is punch in my phone number in the beginning, and see my rewards...(choose to use them or not). Redeem rewards if I pay with cash, or use a different card. Tried 5 different pies....3 fruit pies and 2 cream pies. They were all pretty good. The main problem is that they don't use real cream on their cream pies. It is a shame that they cut corners on the ingredients because otherwise they make pretty decent pies with good crust. I say if you are going to bother making a pie use real cream. We love love love Flake so much. We were introduced via Yelp Elite Perk but have become loyal customers ever since. We will visit sometimes multiple times a week. The absolute faves are obviously the banana cream pie but the key lime is always a close second. I just recently tried their flakies, which are like homemade pop tarts, and omg I'm mad I didn't try earlier! The smores was great but the FIG AND PEAH WERE DIVINE! The crust was buttery and the streusal on top was so yummy. Their hours are super "late night muchie" friendly. They take apple pay, which was awesome for when we forgot our wallets.
