The intimate space is welcoming and relaxing. The staff are incredibly talented mixologists at the top of their game. The reason for our visit is their month-long Star Wars pop-up that started 5/4/26 (of course). They nailed it in every sense of the imagination from themed drinks (alcohol and n/a) to the interior and exterior decor. Hoot & Annie is currently The Mos Eisley Cantina. And, it is! It's as though we've been transformed from this town that's about 20 minutes from Austin to the actual Mos Eisley Cantina. My boyfriend is a huge Star Wars nerd and absolutely loves it. I'm a fan and a supporter and dig it. It's literally the next best thing to Galaxy's Edge. No joke. We love it here and we'll be back even during non-Star Wars times!

This place is family owned which I love about it! On game days they often serve chips or hot dogs along with amazing drinks! On Friday nights they have a DJ where everyone flocks to hear his Latin beats at 9pm but not me because I leave at 9 haha. The daughter of the owner is Kimmy and she is really fun and energetic! I gave it one more star because of her alone! Parking is sometimes an issue but where is it not when you got to downtown round rock?! Haha I will be back here in a few weeks! It looks like you could stage "Long Day's Journey into Night" there - A four act Eugene O'Neill tragedy that takes place in a loser bar. * * * First impressions are really wrong here. This is a fantastic fun place !!! * * * Everything I said about the decor is true - But then that description applies to dive bars all across Central Texas. What makes this place hum is the bartender. She is a Comet - a Meteor and an Absolute Force of Nature! I never got her name - but I spent all night watching her in action. What a superstar! She mews like a cat! She YOWLS like a cat - and that does not necessarily mean she is unhappy. She keeps a gong that she bangs at random intervals. There is a bell by the door that she can ring if she doesn't feel like going back to the gong. I think she designed most of the shots herself. (I was on a bourbon night - but I am dying of curiosity to try some of her shots.) Nearly everyone who can sits at the bar - and she chats up each and every person. She is in constant action and at any given nanosecond - she can be anywhere in the bar. Her mission in life is to be the hostess with the mostest. And she really IS the hostess with the mostest. I sat at a back table, drank my bourbon, watched TV and watched the bartender at work. Mellow, sleepy, pleasant stuff. The people in front were talking to each other and engaging with the bartender's rapid fire repartee. The barstools could be as mellow or as dynamite as a customer wanted them to be. Sing us a song…read more... Went to Kalahari with a friend for the TPS annual meeting. After a long day, we decided to go to Redd's Piano Bar and Lounge for a drink and to enjoy some music. So much fun! Ordered a drink at the bar. They have mocktails that are not on the menu, so you have to ask. The hibiscus mocktail was so delicious and a deal at $4. My friend enjoyed her "grownup" hibiscus cocktail, too. So much fun to sing rounds of Piano Man, Sweet Caroline and Shout, that we came back the next day after another day of conferencing and closing down the adults only, Grotto Swim Bar, at the waterpark. Lose Yourself, the first time I've ever heard/sang a rap song at a piano bar. A great place to unwind after a long day of learning at Kalahari. Thanks for the music and the complimentary round of hibiscus mocktails on day 2. Can't wait to go back next year.

The music was on point for the audience and everyone from the staff to the guests were warm and welcoming. Being from the west coast you can definitely notice a difference in friendliness. The layout is really fun, with the club being front and center on the first floor and the play rooms up above in an atrium style. There are two stages, one for dancing and another with a pole. The area is huge, with plenty of tables and space to mingle. If I could give more than 5 stars I would because of what happened afterward. I forgot a very sentimental purse there. I called as soon as we got home and the manager, Vannessa, stayed in touch with me over text, coordinating with the staff and cleaning crew to track it down. Weeks went by and just this morning I got a text that she had found it. It's in the mail on the way home. I'm so touched by this gesture and will be sure to visit again when we are back in Austin.
