I repeated myself and said, but I we have a reservation. The host says, well you can wait for a table to open up, sit on the table, but need to be done by 6:30, or you can sit at the bar, or ask the people having a meeting at the bar booth if you can sit there. We ordered wine and it wasn't warm, but hot. The bartender let us know that she pulled it out of a box outside. I asked her if she could please chill it like you chill bubbly. She said, well it might get too cold. I asked her, please chill it. She did. The people sitting at the booth got up and we asked if they were done. They said yes, and no one helped us move our wine or silverware to the booth. We order dessert. 15 minutes had gone by. The bartender asks us if we need anything. I said, just waiting on our dessert. The server says that the chef was by himself and they scrambled to get our dessert ready and finally found a torch. Why not just tell us you don't have the banana pudding. We get our dessert that is supposed to be a banana pudding with crumbled nilla wafers. They crumbled graham crackers instead. My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. Sing us a song…read more... Went to Kalahari with a friend for the TPS annual meeting. After a long day, we decided to go to Redd's Piano Bar and Lounge for a drink and to enjoy some music. So much fun! Ordered a drink at the bar. They have mocktails that are not on the menu, so you have to ask. The hibiscus mocktail was so delicious and a deal at $4. My friend enjoyed her "grownup" hibiscus cocktail, too. So much fun to sing rounds of Piano Man, Sweet Caroline and Shout, that we came back the next day after another day of conferencing and closing down the adults only, Grotto Swim Bar, at the waterpark. Lose Yourself, the first time I've ever heard/sang a rap song at a piano bar. A great place to unwind after a long day of learning at Kalahari. The reason for our visit is their month-long Star Wars pop-up that started 5/4/26 (of course). They nailed it in every sense of the imagination from themed drinks (alcohol and n/a) to the interior and exterior decor. Hoot & Annie is currently The Mos Eisley Cantina. And, it is! It's as though we've been transformed from this town that's about 20 minutes from Austin to the actual Mos Eisley Cantina. My boyfriend is a huge Star Wars nerd and absolutely loves it. I'm a fan and a supporter and dig it. It's literally the next best thing to Galaxy's Edge. No joke. We love it here and we'll be back even during non-Star Wars times!
